We ordered the steak, it was probably the worst steak we have ever eaten. Would stay again, but wouldn’t order off the main menu for dinner

Check in was quick and easy and our room was nice, spacious and comfortable. All staff were lovely, smart, polite, frindly and helpful at all times. The restaurant was absoloutly faultless, beautifully set out, great menu choices and food quality was amazing at a fair price. (As a family of 4, we had our evening meal in the Saffron restaurant, 3 adult meals and 1 childs) and all were above our expectations. The bar was also lovely, comfortable and spacious with a lovely outdoor covered area where we enjoyed our evening.
We did not use the gym area, it appeared very small and i only noticed 3 machines, but they looked decent. The pool area was also small, but functional with a hot tub and sauna room also. Whilst i did see a staff member taking water samples for testing whilst in there, i did also notice some areas of the pool that would benefit from some attention to detail with cleanliness, and the same for the small but functional changing rooms. The tiles and grout between them could use a deep clean, as could the bathroom in our room. I felt the standards in those areas were significantly lower than the rest of the hotel, which was on the whole lovely. A few finer finishes could see this hotel become a luxury stay. Over all, it was lovely and we would stay again, but would like to see the areas mentioned receive some attention.

Top notch everything!

If I could give them 100 stars I would! We’ve stayed in private B&Bs, decades old inns, ancient castles and luxury hotels this trip and this one was by far the best!

From the friendly hosts to the lovely decor to the peaceful surroundings, it was all great. The best showers we had the whole trip! And the breakfasts were absolutely top notch!

This property needs an update. There is no air circulation in the room, no ac, no fan & the window opened maybe two inches. Our bathroom had no cold water in the shower & only scalding hot water. The directions say to turn on the cold (we had no cold water) & then to add hot water gradually. We were able to shower that night or in the morning. By the time I realized the shower situation it was too late to switch rooms, so we just went without. When I reported it the next morning at check out I was told they would look into it. That didn’t help me since the main purpose of my one night stay was to shower & sleep.
I got maybe an hour of sleep that night. The neighbors next door were talking very loudly until they decided to be even louder being amorous. After that they seemed to pass out. I fell asleep briefly and was awakened by someone throwing up & the man throwing things around their room, shouting lots of obscenities, stomping around their room & out in the hallway, pounding on the door so hard it shook our bed & then he hit his partner. His partner was screaming & shouting & after he hit her (which I heard) she decided to leave. Except she didn’t really leave. She just went up and down the hall shouting about how he will never lay hands on her again & how there were children in the hotel. I had my daughter with me & she somehow slept through the whole debacle. The chaos went until after 3 am. I was told they had been removed -didn’t help us & wasn’t offered compensation.

Lovely hotel with exceptional staff.

Our stay was excellent. All the staff are exceptional from the moment we arrived. From the reception staff, bar staff, restaurant staff & cleaners they all welcomed us. They always had a smile and treated us with respect. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious with a good selection. Although the hotel is close to a busy road it did not disturb us at all. The bed was comfortable. We will certainly be back. Thank you.

1 night stay - weather very hot but little ventilation, not any fault of anyone. But, mattress felt 'curved', and the water from the cold tap was as hot as the water from the hot tap despite letting it run for a considerable time. Shower was scalding hot - they know, there are signs!
Breakfast was hot and cooked well and staff at breakfast were polite and attentive.

The service from the restaurant staff is impeccable. They are trained to a very high standard and we appreciate that attention to detail. We ordered from the Indian food menu and it was delicious with wine recommended by the server.

The car park is very tight with its spaces as was quite full when I arrived at 2045. I then went to reception to check in and was greeted with a sign to call the night manager. I had to ask about location of breakfast and swimming pool as wasn’t forthcoming. Room was large, great bathroom and comfy bed however no air conditioning which it’s pretty hot right now. The swimming pool facilities were handy however greeted by a lot of regular members using it and it’s quite small so not a lot of space. Breakfast was a variety and check out was easy. There could be some strong tweaks for the customer experience and the hotel should be renovated as some good opportunities to modernise it.

We stayed here to attend a wedding at Aston Marina which is 5 mins away in a taxi. Beautiful and spacious room (room no.1), very clean, luxurious toiletries, super comfortable bed and large bathroom. Staff are very professional and friendly. The breakfast is amazing. Highly recommended.

Generally everything was fine for my needs, a quick overnight stay. I did feel that the decor was a bit dated and could do with a refresh in places.

I didn't eat dinner so can't comment on the quality. The cooked breakfast was quite tasty but I felt it was a little overpriced for the amount of food you actually got.

The only real 'bad' point, was the shower as it was next to impossible to get a temperature that wasn't either too hot or too cold.

Location is good and everyone I encountered was very friendly and helpful.

Overall I would be happy to stay again!
