We really enjoyed our stay at The Little George! Geoff was super kind and helpful, showed us to our room. The room was lovely and spacious and very clean, lovely bathroom with a big shower (the included toiletries smelled amazing too!). Well stocked minibar, teas and coffees etc. WiFi was very good too, easy to connect and fast, which is needed in this area as mobile data signal can be a bit iffy. Extra pillow, towels provided with no issue when we asked.

Included breakfast was absolutely fab, the 'Bent's Breakfast' aka full English was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had! The Staffordshire Oatcakes are also super tasty, quite a heavy breakfast though and I couldn't finish them! Parking was easy, nice off road parking on the other side of the beer garden.

Would just say that it is right in the centre of Eccleshall so there is quite a lot of traffic but that didn't bother us. The bathroom door was near on impossible to properly close from the inside so had to get each other to close the latch from the outside, and no lock on the bathroom door. Also one of the lights by the bed didn't work, we did let them know but it wasn't fixed. Other than that, we had a great stay at The Little George and would recommend to anyone staying in the Eccleshall area!

Absolute gem

This is a beautiful place to stay. Room was gorgeous with expensive fittings and everything thought of, free water, hair dryer, coffee bags, kettle etc. Breakfast delicious and I loved Eccleshall. Staff were lovely and so much nicer than staying in Stafford.

George Best?

Another comfortable stay here in the George Best room. The room was ell equipped and quality tea/ coffee biscuits. Just a couple of very minor issues (shower control handle loose and no tissues in the dispenser) Lovely Staffordshire oatcakes for breakfast.

The Little George is a great pub with rooms, the quality of the room is high and there is ample free parking.
We have stayed here a few times and always been welcomed, shown to the room and been very happy with our stay.

Overall a pleasant stay. The room was spacious with everything necessary. Slight issue on check in ref cleanliness of the toilet but this was resolved straight away. Room was a bit noisy from traffic but died down after 10. Good host and nice breakfast.... decent curry house opposite

We really like this place when we’ve visited previously. Never stayed before and we loved the decor as we were taken to the room. I have never stayed in a room so dusty. The beams are around 1/2mm deep in dust and when the sun shines in the room. You can see just how bad it is. Dusty in bathroom so whole room needs a deep clean. Service is slow and a little disappointing to have staff serving in shorts and a gym top. The place just wants a polish up. Hopefully these things all improve ahead of us next visiting.

They only had feather pillows, and duvets and I'm allergic. When I asked for an alternative they said they had none, and even though I was staying 2 nights, had no interest in fixing the issue for the second night. Very disappointing.

What an amazing hotel, beautifully appointed rooms, vaulted ceilings with exposed oak beams, top of the range fixtures & fittings , more like a luxury home.
