Me dijeron que supuestamente iba al 2 piso y me terminaron enviando al 4, escaleras incómodas para subir equipaje, cuarto si muy limpio, no hay nadie en la recepción y debería haberlo, si hubo un joven español muy amable que atendía al frente en el restaurante que está la recepción donde uno va ha registrarse y yo tuve unos problemas y él muy amablemente me ayudó en todo lo que necesitaba ya que el joven que está atendieses a recepción no era muy empatico con el cliente aunque después se disculpó. I had a great stay at Santa Luzi B&B. The location was amazing, close to the water and surrounded by so much local culture that really stood out during my trip. The building itself was beautiful, and the rooms were just as nice: comfortable, charming, and well-kept. Overall, everything came together to make my stay really enjoyable. Extremely Disappointing Experience

From the moment I arrived, the service was unacceptable. The receptionist was in a bad mood, unfriendly, and frankly quite rude. I had booked a room with 2 beds — one for me and one for my brother — and specifically selected a double. Instead, they gave us a room with one full-size bed and refused to change it.

I also booked with breakfast included, yet the receptionist declined to honor it. On top of that, I’m an Expedia VIP/Rewards member, which means I’m supposed to receive basic perks like complimentary water bottles or small amenities. I received absolutely nothing.

Overall, this stay was extremely disappointing. The lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and failure to honor what I paid for and what I’m entitled to is unacceptable. I would not stay here again and do not recommend this hotel.

Daniel was so helpful even before we arrived in Lisbon and very welcoming after a long delay at the airport. The rooms are very small and a little tired but spotless, a very comfortable bed and the best power shower ever! A little more storage would be welcome but other than that, a fab place to stay. For the price, we thought Santa Luzia was perfect for our long weekend in this fabulous city. Lots of lovely places within a short walk for the best breakfasts (they do them well in Lisbon!) and a great location within Alfama.

Very clean and lovely room but the biggest problem was bringing cases down from the 4th floor down a narrow staircase with no lift.
Location was very central for the old town but busy with narrow streets and narrow pavements.

We had a fantastic stay! The airport shuttle was perfect and our host was amazing at helping us plan tours and with everything we needed. It was so convenient to the whole Alfama region. The bed was super comfortable. I could’ve used a dresser or a rack to put our suitcases on. We ended up using the little table to dump everything, including our toiletries on.

AC was excellent and kept the room cool. The balcony windows were very well sound proofed and I did not hear the street when I closed the windows. The area is very close to the Santa Luzia view point and some nice restaurants so the location itself is great. Breakfast was nice and was provided at the hotel across the street. Check in was with the hotel across the street and the staff member was very kind and helped with bags across the street to the hotel room. Staff were not present in the Santa Luzia B&B but were very close across the street which was fine by me. However public transport can be a little bit of a pain as the main tram which goes past the hotel is tram 28 which is always crowded and difficult to get on. There were no safe, fridge, or teas and coffee's facilities in the room housekeeping was also lacking. Overall a good stay if you are looking for a good, safe location but overall just a place to rest your head.

The only thing that would have been nice is if the balcony was a little bigger to accommodate a couple of chairs and a table. It was a really nice room, very easy check in and great communication. Location was perfect with only about a 15 minute walk into the centre of Lisbon. The breakfast they provided was also really nice. The only issue was there was no mirror in the bedroom and tue aircon was very loud. Overall a great stay.

The hot water sometimes goes in and out and we had some trouble getting the AC going - but that could’ve been our fault! Overall, highly recommend. Bonus, they will store your bags for a while after you check out :)

Pague la habitación más cara que tienen era amplia pero oscura no nos la dieron en el piso más alto lo cual ahora agradezco ya que no tienen elevador repito no elevador lo que hay es escaleras y no hay personal ni nadie que te ayude a subir o bajar el equipaje. La limpieza se reduce a tender la cama y limpiar el piso nunca cambiaron ni las toallas ni tan siquiera las que estaban en el suelo las toallas son lijas. A mi llegada el shower estaba lleno de pelos nunca lo
Limpiaron pero era tan fácil como coger un papel y quitarlos todos como hice, el tragante del shower no tragaba bien lo que al bañarte se llena. La tasa del baño nunca la limpiaron nunca nunca. La
Recepción está en el hotel de enfrente lo que siempre vas a tener que cruzar para lo que necesites inclusive para dejar las maletas cuando hagas checkout. Nada empaña a la hermosa y llena de contrastes Lisboa.

Great place to stay if you don't plan to spend much time in the hotel. The double bed room is small, with not much space outside of the bed, but it was all we needed. The bathroom was more spacious with a really nice shower.

It's a quick walk to the nearest metro station, where you can get to/from the airport, and within walking distance from tons of restaurants and the Tagus. The concierge was extremely friendly and went above and beyond.

The room itself was good, although there were mold in the bathrooms and some in the room and the AC didn't always work. You had to check-in across the street at another hotel to get your key and pay for your tourist tax. We ended up reserving an extra night a couple months before our stay (we reserved the other nights many months in advance) and instead of leaving us in the room, they switched us to another room (still unsure why, it just made them have to clean two rooms instead of one). The area around the stay was nice, very walkable, lots to see, lots to do, lots of places to eat/shop, but that did mean it was quiet noisy all the time. The reception is open from 7:30am-10:00pm, check-in being after 2pm, check-out 10am. Breakfast was 8-11am, selection of justices, coffee, teas, espresso, pastries, breads, jams, fruit, yogurts, meat and cheese, and (often cold) scrambled eggs. Be prepared for the spiral-like staircase. Not accessible.

Our experience at Santa Luiza was excellent. Accommodations were very nice and location fantastic in the Alfama area of Lisbon. The best part was the great service from the staff including Maria who helped us on several occasions including booking out transfer to Oriente station for our train trip. There were some negative reviews we saw before booking but those ignored the fact that you are in a historic building, the rooms are smaller and you are there for the experience.

If you are a light sleeper, I would look elsewhere (away from tram line). The room was okay - bed and sink area was fine, but the toilet and shower is behind squeaky closet doors and the shower was mouldy. The rest of the building and entry were quite clean, staff were friendly and welcoming.

Pros - Location was great, in the old town part of Lisbon with the castle and cathedral just 10 mins away.

Lots of nice little cafes and restaurants in close proximity.

The room itself was lovely, simple and nicely decorated. It is small with nowhere to hang clothes but it did the job for one night.

Cons- The shower drain does smell! But if you keep the door shut it doesn’t impact on the bedroom area.

You are on the tram line route so it is noisy outside. I slept with earplugs as I’m a light sleeper. Also you can hear people walking up and down the corridor outside and above you (I was on floor 2)

If you just want a cheap and cheerful place for a night or two while you’re out exploring the city then it does the job. If you want a place you can spend time in and relax it might not be the one for you.

One of the windows was not able to shut close but I was able to just push the shutter and keep it warm. The bathroom felt like a closet, no fan and the odor was very strong sifting from other floors. The inly good things about this property are the staff and its location. The rest are in dire need of attention, from the foul smelling bathroom to the malfunctioning lock mechanism on the door which forced us to slam the door shut in order for it to work (even during late hours of the night). There was mold all over the bathroom, we could hear all movements within the building and on the street, during our 4 night stay we were given only one bottle of water, and overall we could’ve done much better than this property with this price. I suggest the management to consider doing some new repair and renovation work before continuing to rent the rooms to tourists.

The Santa Luzia is in a nice location. It has easy access to the castle, shopping, boat tours, and the square with nice dining options. The balcony was also lovely. The room was VERY small. We told the front desk that we had some VIP amenities. We had two drinks a day and an upgraded room that we had earned. They refused both. The restaurant below our room smelled horrible. Our clothes and luggage still smell. The front desk is across the street and their was no way to contact them from our room. Another guest actually banged on our door at 3:00 am and commented on our moving furniture. However, the reason we had to move the chair is because we had to open the door. The room was that small. We enjoyed our vacation in Lisbon, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Location is great, stay was Okay - you get what you pay for. The place is difficult to find, check in is across the street. Staff is curt; I chalked it up to the language barrier and the clerk gave us the room on the first floor (she said it was an upgrade), once she watched us struggle with our luggage up the narrow steps. The inn is in an old area of town, hence the building lacks an elevator. The room was average at best, lacked a closet or place to hang clothes and the split system A/C started to give off a cat urine-like odor the next morning. The best part is the outdoor restaurant right in front of the door with a decent menu. Skip the joke of a “hotel” breakfast for $15/pp and eat better at the non-affiliated restaurant for less.

The room was amazing (please note that it is a walk up). The location was right in the heart of the historic district and all the action (look up festivals before you go, so you know what to expect).
We had a great time there during a festival. We felt totally safe. A lot of people having a good time ... very entertaining; from the street and our balcony. We are in our 60's and thouroughly enjoyed the party.
The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was simple but delicious.

The location was so great super central! Choose a river view room only, staff were nice as well. Definitely a place for a quick stay, wouldnt long term stay. Not really any hotel amenities aside from body wash, rooms were teenie tiny and the windows were broken. The bathrooms are dark and have no outlets. There’s no real bathroom door it’s a pantry swinging door. Bed was comfy and the place did what we needed for a nights stay.

The bathroom was the only thing that let us down at this property. Just a bit small and out-dated. We loved the central location, the juliet balconies were lovely for taking in the sights, sounds and delicious smells of the surrounding area. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Could do with a large mirror and a fridge, however. Getting up the stairs is a bit tight if you have large or multiple bags. The breakfast option was also good. Location is ideal for walking and sightseeing. Can be a bit noisy with how busy the road is, but not a bother to us, personally.

Coffee was awful, thankfully Orange Juice was delicious to make up for it
Room was generally clean otherwise
no furniture besides bed, 1 chair and the TV
Would recommend more for younger travellers

We leave the room and check for another hotel after 1 hour. Boring room, no chair, no table. Its not a balcony, its window that you ca open....but its 15 feet from a neighboor who was always looking inside our room. Terrible. So we leave quickly.

Great location if you dont mind a little noise, its a fab central location, walking distance to most places in the city, very close to the castle and plenty of public transport nearby.
Very comfortable bed, plenty of plug sockets, decent WiFi and good aircon.
The room was fine for what we paid, but was very small, felt it could be sligtly cleaner and if youre sensitive to noise, it can get a little busy out the front (this wasnt an issue for us however)

Check in instructions need improvement

The check in process was confusing. The hotels.com listing says you need to contact the hotel 24 hours in advance for instructions. I did this and never received a response. As we were arriving around 9pm I was anxious that we wouldn’t be able to check in easily. Once we were there the sign on the front door sent us to a location across the street to check in. Once we officially found the location the woman was very nice and showed us to our room. (Back across the street.) the room was simple but in the center of town and a good location for our 1 night to explore.

Tiny room with no elevator

This place is tiny, def not the size you see in the pictures. Also note that there is no elevator and we had our room on the 4th floor and had to lug our suitcases. The bed was comfortable and the location is amazing. Note that this is in Alfama which is up the hill and you need to be fit to walk around as there are a lot of steps. Also there is really no service from the reception as it's more an Air B&B than a hotel.
