Well, the hotel is very old and outdated and this was one of the worst room I ever stayed in for the price of a premium room in Lisboa! Everything cost extra, they did not even leave a bottle of water in the room as courtesy.

It’s a good thing I was out most of the time, but keep in mind that unless you're a walker like me, you may find this place very far from restaurants, the beach, nightlife, the marina and anything interesting in Albufeira. You may need to use Uber or a cab to get around.

On the positive side, their breakfast buffet offered limited options but was fresh and quite delicious.

We had to change are room - We went to bed that night and when we woke up the room had aunts on the floor and around the furniture. Also bathroom facilities were okay - the toilet took sometime fill after flushing (dated) - the staff was pleasant to deal with. Hotel location was close to a beach, about a 10 minute walk from the hotel - if you wish to drive to Centro ( town centre) which I would highly recommend- lots to do and see and great beach

I had a nice time staying at this property. I was not aware that the outside sitting area of my room would be adjacent to an obstacle course so there was some noise from that during the day but after dark it was fine.

Amazing hotel

The staff were amazing. The hotel is walking distance to the beaches, restaurants, supermarket and bus stops. A very big thank you to Sonia, Joao and Patricia for making my stay exciting. Everyone in the hotel were friendly and eager to help. The room was right size and the bed was comfortable. The fridge was every day filled . Just an excellent stay with excellent host.

Did not have any expectations re this hotel, I booked it because my usual choice was full. I have also driven past this place many times, and never considered staying here. I believe it was run as a kind of hostel some years ago, but has since been refurbished and rebranded. It was a pleasant surprise. My room was on the top (3rd) floor, and yes, there is no lift. However the friendly receptionist assisted me with my bags and showed me to a very pleasant room, with balcony views to the sea at the front and to the countryside at the side. Robes, slippers and chocs on the King size bed! There was no bath, but a very modern wet room with power shower. There is also a decent swimming pool at the hotel, but sadly, I had not packed my mankini. The staff here were all very pleasant and helpful and I would definitely consider staying here again. A few negatives, the parking is on a rough piece of waste ground to the rear of the hotel, and the breakfast room, which also doubles as the bar, is tiny. There are 3 small round tables, enough to seat only 6 guests, so if you were not early enough to eat inside, you were having to carry your breakfast outside and eat on the terrace, which is ok when the weather is fine. And finally the breakfast sausage - small chipolata things! My wife always said a morning breakfast breakfast sausage should be firm and meaty. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

Overall had a good stay at this property. The staff were really nice and the hotel itself was kept clean. However, had some issues with our room. The toilet and shower seemed to have some drainage issues. The tub would fill up with water any time we would take a shower in it, and there wasn’t a lot of hot water. Anytime we flushed the toilet, it would just keep running and you wouldn’t be able to flush it again unless we adjusted it ourselves. This was disappointing as we had read good reviews before going and would have been able to give a better rating had it not been for these issues

Last min break and was very happy with choice of hotel and location, 10 mins walk to a beautiful beach and 10 mins walk to bars/restaurants, lively atmosphere but pretty quiet at the moment this time of year, very clean, friendly staff, nice pool and outdoor area. Not a huge hotel but I prefer this, space around the pool which is a nice size. There is nothing for children at the hotel apart from the pool but easy enough to get places . Rooms had all we needed and provided a kettle on request, small fridge to keep items but stocked if you need anything at a charge . Nite porter always about the hotel and outside area. Easy bus commute from outside and there is a high ropes activity place next to the hotel for families which looked fun. Highly recommend Uber for getting around as very cheap. Cheaper than a bus if more than 1 of you. Parking at the back of the hotel, he road outside is a road which leads to the town area so can get a little noisy when bars closed and people are heading back to hotels, if u prefer quietness if opt for a room at the back although ours was at the front and we had a nice view and it was lovely first thing when the sun was coming up. I’d definitely return to this hotel and for those wanting to enjoy the weather and it enter, I’d recommended coming March April time as warm but not crowded

Although the room was small, it was good enough for a short stay. the pros are the location/views, pool and solarium on the top floor.
Great if you want a laid back hotel, rather than a busy large resort style of hotel.

Upon checking out of the hotel, there was no member of staff present at reception, so I left the key on the reception desk and headed outside to wait for my taxi (4am). Soon after, an angry male receptionist charged out of the hotel towards me with a card machine demanding that I pay for items used in the mini fridge. I explained to him that nobody was present at reception, I have a taxi to get to the airport, and they have my card details when I paid to debit the mini fridge items - it is not my responsibility to ensure the reception is staffed. He demanded that I gollow him into the bedroom I stayed in to calculate the cost of the items used (what type of check out is this?). After angry and threatening behaviour from the male staff member (e.g., tellong me I need to be careful), I would suggest to all people considering this hotel to look elsewhere. Disgusting customer service (almost as bad as the noisy main road outside the hotel and the non sound-proof doors, meaning you cannot sleep at night time). Disgusting, do not ruin your holiday by staying here.

Advice:

1. Ensure reception is staffed for people to check out. People have taxis to attend to so we cannot wait for you to decide to do your job.

2. Before demanding money for mini fridge items (which was your idea of a check out), perhaps ask us how our stay was, etc.

British tourists avoid this place.

I was on my own, if my wife was with me, we would have gone somewhere else. A delayed flight, car hire problems made for a late check-in. The night porter stunk of beer, room in a decrepit state. Headboard looked like somebody had taken a hammer to it. To top it all, no remote for the TV. When I reported it to reception the next morning the young lady came in and searched the room, like the CIA would. I am in my early 70s, a foreign remote is all I need to complete my bucket list. Very poor standards, for a not cheap price.

Property ok, staff rude and seemed confused into believing they’re employed to enforce covid rules and generally be rude about them. Passport control at the airport didn’t scrutinise our vaccination documents as much as the hotel staff…. Good luck with tourists accepting that and coming back, simply no need.

This is our second stay at the Hotel Santa Eulalia Praia, we really love this place for the relaxed atmosphere, accommodating staff and all round good feel to the place. It is convenient for everything, the beach, the strip are literally just minutes away but it's quiet enough to think you were miles away. Most importantly the rooms are spotlessly clean which of course in these COVID times is very important and the air-conditioning is super cold!

The pool is lovely, never crowded, being a small boutique hotel you never feel crowded out and that is great. Sure there are a couple of small areas round the pool that need a bit of maintenance but then isn't there always? this is 3 star not the Ritz!

A special thanks must go to Eduardo who was absolutely brilliant when I lost my wallet, he couldn't help enough a really top guy. Real service from really nice staff, what can I say, give it a go because you won't be disappointed.

Great location, away from the strip but a little walk to some beautiful beaches and restaurants. Room was a little disappointing with only a door for natural light. Right near the main road so pool isn’t that relaxing but gets all the afternoon sun so perfect for a post beach dip. The bathrooms are done nicely but the see through doors let it all down! No privacy at all! The cleanliness of the bedding and towels wasn’t great! Bed wasn’t made properly and was full of sand by day two, we pulled off the sheets to remake the bed to find quite a few disgusting stains! Towels changed regularly but no face towels after day one and all towels were a bit old and looked as through one good bath towel had been ripped to make a few!
In saying all that if your after a cheap getaway and don’t want the bright lights of the strip - it’s a perfect little spot but just expect what you pay for :-)

Nice hotel near the beach

We enjoyed our visit to this hotel. The location is very good, near the beach and within easy reach from Albufeira (although the nearby road does bring in noise). The room was adequate (the air conditioning, a welcome respite from the August heat), clean, and with a comfortable bed. Our room faced the road, but we could see nicer ones looking onto the garden. The pool uses salt water, which is good, but maintenance could be a little better. Breakfast was average. The staff was very courteous.

Tiny room, could only just open the door. Tiny bathroom, no leg room when on toilet, they are under the bathroom sink. Tiny bed, but very comfortable mattress, which was a plus. No where to put cases. Had to put them on the bed to open them then shut them up & stand them upright. Breakfast was good & parking was a plus, which seems to be a problem in many hotels.

Hotel is on main road, which is absolutely fine. Hotel is nice from outside, newly refurbished I’d say. Pool is small but nice and clean. Rooms were great. Not massive but we’ll suited and large bathroom with all the little extras you may expect (shampoo, sewing kit, shaving razor etc.) bed was comfy with memory foam mattress and pillow. Air-con and mini fridge. Only downside I’d say is there is a lack of staff about but there helpful and polite.
Praia oura the smaller closer beach, is much nicer than the main big one. Shops are 10 minutes walk and main strip about 15. Beware there’s a hill down and up so for older people be cautious.
Anyway over all real nice place, good local.
Recommend, will consider returning.

This is a small hotel. The staff were friendly, helping all guests . Nothing was too much trouble . They gave advise and directions as to the best places to visit in Portugal .Rooms cleaned every day, each guest was given complimentary robes and slippers for the pool . Breakfast was available at a small charge from 0700 to 11am daily . I would return and stay again .

Old room & bathroom, too much noise

This hotel is very basic and not good value for money at all. Our room was at the front of the building, facing the main road and you could hear everything, cars, people talking, people getting in and out of their rooms, there was no noise cancellation at all. The room was small and the bathroom was old and had no ventilation or windows at all, so it was smelly all the time and as a result the room too. The staff at reception were alright, only the guy who was cleaning our room was friendly and polite. The only good thing was the bed which was quite comfy. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Stayed with my boyfriend and had a great time. Rooms were cleaned everyday and towel replaced. Pool was quaint but unfortunately for the time we went it was still a bit chilly to go in. Beach is less than a ten minute walk away, and the closest restaurants are about ten minutes away. Only complaints I have was that as the hotel is quite small, the loud partiers coming in from their night out could be easily heard. Noise never lasted long so it was just about acceptable. Had a ground floor room near reception, so unfortunately we had no balcony and nowhere to dry our towels and swimwear without leaving the windows wide open. Bathroom had no fan, and believe me, we really needed one as my boyfriend had food poisoning one of the days. Another positive was that Uber from the hotel was only €5 to get to the old town, which had a more of a selection of restaurants. The staff all seemed friendly except one night my we wanted a mojito from the bar. The guy acted like we weren’t guests and essentially was saying he wanted his dinner. What followed was around 8 minutes of him huffing and sighing, clearly not wanting to do what his customers asked of him. It was so unprofessional. That was the only major fault I found with our stay. Other than this and the other minor details our stay was lovely. Would recommend if you want somewhere a little away from the town and partying but still in close proximity if you want to join in.

A very nice, small, comfortable hotel with good breakfasts and lunchtime snacks available at reasonable prices. The staff were all lovely and very friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English! The open air pool and space around it is quite small and close to the busy road but is kept beautifully clean and therefore felt inviting for a relaxing swim. There are a couple of good restaurants lose by and the pretty local beach is just a ten minute walk from the hotel. We would definitely choose the Santa Elulia Praia Hotel again.

Staff way above to make your stay as pleasent as possible. I requested a kettle for making tea and one was provided. I was always greated with a smile and everyone was willing to help.Even the maintenance staff helped with translating a bus ticket for me. My only dislike was the cigarette smoke smell in the room from the previous tenant.

Cute little hotel right next to Santa Eulalia beach. About a 15 min walk away from Praia Da Oura, which is one of the most beautiful beaches I've been to! The staff was very helpful. Breakfast at the hotel is not worth their price since there are several restaurants just down the street offering full English Breakfasts for around 4 euros. Overall, clean and comfortable hotel for the price, small rooms but you won't be in your room much.

Lovely well kept hotel with new A/C units in rooms which are really quiet and large very comfortable double bed. (Same as on Royal Caribbean ships). No kids and all couples made it nice and quiet by the pool except for the road noise. Easy access to town and other places as on main road.

This was my 2nd stay here and yet again found it to be just what we were looking for, rooms thoroughly cleaned every day by friendly staff, pool also cleaned daily, the hotel is on a main road but i find it private enough, only a 10 minute walk to Santa Eulalia beach, spent a couple of days relaxing at the pool, looking forward to coming back again later this year.

Very clean and great location...

This hotel is a perfect small hotel. Staff are excellent. Really trying hard to make it a 3star.. . Fabulous location, close to beaches and bars etc but still not in the thick of the strip etc. Only downside is that busy road... If you turn on the a/c at night it does block out the traffic noise and it slows down after 11. I only had the €6 breakfast one day as a cafe up the road did full English for €3.70....big bottles of water were 2euro... The pool was nice and quiet... Nice rooms on the 3Rd floor..

very nice hotel minor work still being done would go back when finished. Still a bit of road traffic noise if you get a room at the front but better now windows have been upgraded. I did have a front room and found it very nice. I have been to this hotel twice and would use it again/.

An enjoyable break

The hotel overall, is excellent, easy to find, is accessible with good parking; it is very clean, the rooms are good though a little compact. Location is good with many restaurants within easy walking distance. For those less mobile, taxis are not that expensive. Reception staff were friendly and very helpful, as were other staff in the hotel. I had two issues that I must comment on. The first was the need to leave my credit card details at reception in case of any breakages or unreported use of the mini bar - presumably so payment could be taken at the time of departure or after I left. In these days of ensuring identity security, one must ask what happens to these details after checkout. Are they deleted or stored? Personally, I would prefer the option of leaving a cash deposit to have been offered if a deposit must be left. My second issue was the wi-fi. The signal was not at all good and often connectivity was lost. Even a small charge for wi-fi would be acceptable - if the signal was a good one. It is pointless using ´fee-wifi´as a selling point if the thing does not work properly. For that reason, I have not highlighted the room as being great for free wi-fi. All in all, an enjoyable stay and I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel and would certainly use it again.

Note:! The hotel name is actually Santa Eulália PRAIA! There are three hotels with the same name and the taxi driver took me to the wrong one thanks to my email from Hotels.com...

Excellent bed and pillows were the best memory foam.
The shower is the best I have used in a hotel.
Air con could be a little better though.

No problem with road noise with the window closed.

The walls are thin though so you can hear other guests (if they are inconsiderate).

The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Lovely break will be better when swimming pool finished. Only one complaint- there's no tea/coffee in rooms or reception and it's a 10 minute walk to buy one

Small hotel, bit of a walk into the strip, room was very small but comfortable
