It was a really nice property on a clean fresh site, there was a good cafe,bar, restaurant on sire that has food and drinks available all day and aclovely swimming pool.
We did eat in the restaurant twice and the food and staff were both very good.
We didnt use the pool as we were there in march and the weather wasn't warm enough.

Staff were so helpful and friendly. Villas were very comfortable. Only suggestion would be to provide some kitchen essentials such as wasing up liquid, cloth, dishwasher tablets, coffee and tea. Otherwise all was thought through.

The property was much bigger than we expected – very spacious and very clean. We loved having a garden and having the Pinewoods and green space so close by. The pool area was beautiful with a fantastic CAFE which was open all day. It’s a good walk into town or to the beach so be prepared with good shoes or Uber or Bolt app downloaded to your phone!

We arrived in March for a 4 day weekend so was lovely and quiet. Albufeira is only 5-10 mins away. Vilamoura is only 15mins away and cost us €15 with Uber. You can fit two cars in the garage and two cars on the drive way to. Great place to stay if you want to be further out of Albufeira town centre for the quiet but still close enough to go for the entertainment. Two pools are great to have but we had these to ourselves. Not sure how full the pools are during busy periods. Would recommend staying here again for another weekend trip.

We are a family of 5 & just couldn’t fault this place, it was big enough, spotless clean, everything about it was fab. The staff in reception were very welcoming & the restaurant was lovely for breakfast, lunch & dinner. They had everything we needed. Loved the pool area, kids had a great time. It’s about 20 minutes walk to the new town or around 40 minutes to old town or if lazy like us you can get a taxi from reception. Would highly recommend this place, especially if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle Of the town.

Will definitely be back

Wasn’t sure what to expect. We had a horrible experience at the airport, once we got to the hotel they told us “well your holiday begins now”. All the staff were fantastic, all polite and always had a smile. Reception organized everything we needed to make our villa toddler friendly and would organize taxis or trips to wherever we wished.

Comfortable villas with lots of space and air conditioners in each room. Nice pool area and the splash pool was perfect for our toddler.

The restaurant/bar stays open late(ish), staff were excellent, food was nice and reasonably priced, cocktails were tasty and on quiet nights the staff were a good laugh to chat to.

We original only expected this to be a base to crash and a place to plan our days. We got to see a lot of Albufeira but spent more time relaxing here than we expected.

Will definitely come back here again and would hesitate to recommend this place.

Great stay at Pinheiros

Great experience at the pinheiros hotel, people there were amazing and helpful at all times. The place itself was large and clean and the pool was awesome. Only thing we didn’t like was the smell in the bathroom in the middle of the night. Otherwise an A+ experience.

Cleaned daily , beds comfortable and bedding changed every other day
Just a bit far out of town but taxi to old town only 6 Euro and 16 into Vilamoura have visits before and would return

Pinheiros da Balaia

Helpful staff with a cleaning service every day to change the towels, make the beds and empty the bins etc. Lovely pool area with a nice bar and restaurant on site. Our rental included a garage which was great and the complex is only a short drive from the main part of Albufeira. There are lots of beaches within a short drive but for families with young children there is also a really great playground nearby called the parque public Albufeira.

High quality and well equipped 2 bed accommodation ideal for 4-6 people. The pool area is an ample size for the complex and the snack bar is very welcoming. The only draw back is the distance from the resort centre however it only costs between 4 and 6 Euros in a taxi to the bars or beach.

Lovely stay, great service all round. I would recommend a car as it's a little out of town but not far at all, but they have parking spots under the villas so you can park in safety and works out cheap for getting out and about..

Watching the sunset on the roof terrace at night was lovely, really nice feature of the properties.It's lovely and clean from the rooms to the pool - we really couldn't fault out stay.

Nice quiet resort

This is a very nice resort just outside the main area of Albufeira (five minute drive or 15-20 minute walk). It is also close to the less commercial areas of Olhos d'Agua and Acoteias (10 minute drive). While the resort has a view of the ocean, to get to a beach requires a short drive or a bit of a walk (20-25 minutes), however, the beaches we visited were quite beautiful and worth the effort. The location and amenities will appeal to couples and families.

The rooms were spacious, well appointed and clean. Hard surface flooring, for us, added to the feeling of cleanliness, and the cleaning staff came in daily. The rooms have all the necessary amenities such as cooktop, oven microwave, dishwasher and clothes washer, as well as small countertop appliances.

The grounds are well maintained and attractive, and there is a pool with a restaurant and bar. The food in the restaurant is quite good, though a bit more expensive than some of the local restaurants and the food is generic rather than local in nature.

The staff were friendly and helpful and made an effort to ensure our stay was pleasant. This location was a good base for us to explore the Algarve area with day trips by car. There are also coach tours of the area available which can be arranged by the resort staff.

We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely go back.

Lovely villa, clean, comfortable and has all amenities. TV channels poor, and had a few maintenance issues, but these were sorted immediately. It's a bit of a walk, 30 mins to beach and bars but taxis cheap.

Pretty good value for money but could be better

Apartment was good overall for the money but there was penny pinching all around. Money to hire a safe, one bathroom (with shower over bath) small TV with hardly any UK channels, no sun loungers and nothing on bedroom balcony. Also a price list of items broken or missing seems excessive. Kitchen equipment not great with no mugs but a rolling pin (20 Euros if it goes missing/broken!) Reasonably clean but examples of disrepair such as plugs coming off wall, handles coming off doors and dishwasher leaking. Unable to use jacuzzi due to the amount of dirt in it. Didn't help having noisy neighbours smoking directly into our apartment. Also not sure about security of the place as was not contained in a secure perimeter fence and anyone could walk in off the road. If using this place I would recommend a car as a good 15-20 minute walk to most facilities and not within reach of a beach. Staff were good at reception

8 of us stayed in 2 villas. Excellent accommodation. Garden, balcony and roof terrace. Modern and clean. Went with friends but would certainly return with wife and kids. Pool is in a great position, with a nice pool bar that does great food. Will definitely return.

The accommodation itself has a very nice pool and great pool side bar / restaurant. Would stay here again for another family holiday.

Excellent facilities in quiet location

We have just come back from a week here and loved it! We were after a chilled holiday and that's exactly what we got. Facilities and staff are excellent, accommodation is clean and spacious with everything we could have wanted. We had no issues getting sunbeds, and the pool bar/restaurant is excellent, we often ate lunch there. The nearest beach is a good 25/30 minute walk away which we found a bit much in the heat. However fishermans beach in the old town is fantastic but you do need to get a taxi here (less than 10 mins journey and approx €6-7). Supermarket is around a 15-20 minute walk away and has a meat/cheese counter, butchers and bakery, so although small has everything you need. Hotel reception is also a small shop which although a little expensive is convenient. Overall I would highly recommend Pinheiros da Balaia but if you prefer to be in short walking distance of everything, this probably isn't the hotel for you.

Very nice hotel ,spacious and a family treat

We were very pleased with pinheiros da balalia ,and we gladly recommend it to anyone who wants a place that is relaxing and not in the middle of all the madness from albufeira .
The taxi from old town costs around 7,50€, but during the day there are buses Close at a 10 mins walk ,especially if you Take the back Shortcut behind the hotel ,make sure you ask the hotel receptionists about getting around .

Great spacious 2 bedroom aparthotel

Love this place. This is our second year back and honestly great for families. The apartments are the perfect size for our family (2 kids under 5) and it is fully equipped, which is a blessing for me i.e. ideal for cooking, dishwasher, washing machine, etc.

Lovely villa finished to a very high standard

Pinheiros da Balaia is a fantastic place to stay for a relaxing holiday in Albufeira. The villas are finished to a very high standard and are cleaned every day. The staff are friendly and helpful and the pool bar served us with some of the best food of our holiday. It is located a short distance from the beach and shops, the old town is just a short taxi ride (though we did walk a couple of times, but don't try walking in the mid day sun!). Taxis are very reasonable and they arrive quickly, and the taxi drivers are also very friendly with good English. The whole experience was very straightforward and easy, the only hiccup was when expedia didnt send through the booking code for the accomodation until the day after we arrived which held up our check in but it was all handled really professionally and without any fuss by the reception staff. We had a great holiday and plan to book for next year.

Fantastic standard of accommodation

We recently stayed at Pinheiros Da Balaia for 11 nights and we were delighted with the standard of the accommodation.

Despite arriving at 2am, we were warmly greeted by the security guard on duty who showed us to our Villa. We stayed in one of the 2 bed Villas, and although there were only 2 of us we felt that there was ample room for 4 people. Both bedrooms were double and of good size, the Villas certainly aren't lacking in space.

The accommodation is well furnished, with a washing machine, dishwasher, oven / hob, microwave etc. The only thing that we felt would have been useful was sun loungers in the rear gardens or roof terrace of the Villas.

Balaia is tucked away nicely, around 20 minutes walk from Albufeira (strip) and around a €7 taxi trip to the old town (which we preferred). St Eulalia beach is a 15 minute walk if you take the footpath from the rear of the Villas, however due to the incline of the path / steps involved I wouldn't recommend this for the less able bodied or anyone with a push chair.

Overall we were really impressed with the accommodation and we would gladly return in the future.

A perfect summer holiday

I love this place. It was the perfect choice for our family holiday – based on price and standard of accommodation.
The apartments were immaculate and had everything you could need for the week. I believe they're only a year old…which really made a difference for me. Most of the places we have stayed in Europe were showing their age. So it is nice to spend the week in rooms which simply made you feel happy.
Thought the little restaurant by the pool was a good compliment to resort opened at 9am for coffee and was an lazy option for dinner.

So glad we got there!

Beware if driving to this location, the hotels.com pin map takes you to the wrong location, worrying start. Make sure to use Balaia as the destination. Bit out of the way, but that gives a peaceful setting. Great accommodation with all first class facilities. Couple of minor omissions, could do with a couple of Sun loungers in the individual villa gardens and the second bedroom really could do with an a/c unit.
Used the bbq a few times, there's some great markets within easy reach. Food and drink in the pool bar is good and reasonably priced. Only 7€ taxi to/from old town for action seekers. All in all we would recommend and return again.

Quiet hotel, ideal location if you have a hire car - just 5mins into town. Beach a 15min walk. Plenty of supermarkets within a short drive.

Hotel grounds could do with some investment but don't let it put you off. Even at capacity, no need to get up early to put towels on a sunbed and always plenty there. Just watch out for the parasols taking off in the wind!

Stayed with 2 small children and a perfect break (providing they like the water!)

Would return again in the future.

Great Villa

Our experience there was pretty good. The villa itself was beautiful, the grounds were beautiful and the price is very good for the overall experience of being in a villa vs a hotel room. We were disappointed with the fact that we had 2 twin beds joined together in the master bedroom to form a king bed. This was quite uncomfortable. The beds were also too soft and not very comfortable. We did mention this to the staff and were told that in the future they would try to accommodate couples with a Queen bed available in some villas. The staff was friendly and helpful and they spoke English well. There is a beautiful beach approximately 10 minutes away on foot which was practical.

The villa was very clean and modern except maybe for the shower curtain which is the kind that sticks to you while you shower. Maybe the modern 'curved' shower rod would solve this problem.

We were counting on the fact that we had a washing machine in our room to do laundry but ours was broken.The staff did provide laundry services to compensate but we would have preferred doing our own laundry.

Everything else about our stay was wonderful and despite our little complaints, we still highly recommend this place.

Very spacious apartment. Immaculate. Cleaned daily. Wanted a quiet restful holiday. 15 mins walk to the nearest beach, a little steep in some places. Children happy playing around swimming pool. Floats and water pistols for sale at the reception which kept the kids entertained. Closest restaurant and mini market about 10 mins walk. Ate out a few times and cooked simple meals eg pasta. BBQ in garden but mini market didn't sell much meat so we didn't use it. Pool water cold and cold in the evenings. Reached 23deg one day so can't complain. We would definitely use the hotel again and hire a car next time to explore the area. People are so friendly and welcoming. We were sad to leave.

A very nice place I go go back to

There are many positives and only found a couple of negatives which are not detrimental for a great stay. The villas are sparkling new, clean, very well equipped, underground car park linked directly to villa via stairs, everything you need in the kitchen down to the ice scream scoop or nut cracker, you will not need anything else, lovely small garden with BBQ, roof terrace, very nice bathroom and very comfy beds. Only stayed 3 nights but felt like a home away from home. Reception staff very helpful and friendly, if you need info, just ask. Location is fine if you want a pool and beach holiday, if not or if with small cnhildren you need a car, we only wanted the beach which is 10 mins walk via a small path thru trees at back of villa. Beach is stunnning! Pool is also lovely and peaceful, really good music, not too loud so you can tune in or out, we had a wonderful stay. As for the negative, it didn't bother us particularly but I would put the air con (very good aircon!) in both rooms not just the master bedroom, as well as the wardrobe only in one bedroom (it is huge but would still want my own). Book in confidence, it is lovely.

Selve stedet er et fint udgangspunkt for ture i området. Huset var fint men en anelse slidt. Sengene var meget hårde. Stedet er præget af grupper af unge mennesker der fester - både på ejendommen og i villa overfor.

Très bon rapport qualité-prix :
- maison spacieuse, moderne et agréable avec tout le confort (super cuisine, clim, lave linge, volets roulants électriques...)....si l'on pouvait avoir des finitions équivalentes en France.....
- parking sous-sol avec accès privatif....mais difficile d'accès pour une voiture moyenne (Renault Mégane break)
- espace piscine trop juste par rapport aux nombre de logements, les transats sont au ras de l’eau et on peine à circuler...
- insonorisation très très moyenne entre les logements et mauvaise en général quand il pleut (pas de gouttières = bruit continue)
- logement pas trop éloigné de la mer en voiture (5-10 mn) et des commerces...

Der ganzen Familie hat es sehr gefallen. Wir waren vom Appartement begeistert. Einige Gegenstände waren allerdings - wohl weil es Ende Saison ist - defekt. Das hat uns aber nicht weiter gestört, da das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis noch immer sehr gut war.

Ruim en rustig gelegen appartement in kleinschalig appartementen complex. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. In het restaurantje kun je genieten van een goed ontbijt, hapje/drankje of een heerlijk diner en het is nog goed betaalbaar ook! het complex ligt net iets buiten het grote massa toerisme.

Sehr sauberes und gepflegtes Reihenhaus inkl. Spül- und Waschmaschine, sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal, schöne Poolanlage und vor allem ruhig, zumindest im Mai. Nur der Weg zum Strand ist etwas mühsam, sowohl mit dem Auto als auch zu Fuß, ist aber machbar in zu Fuß ca. 25 min
