I ordered a double bed with a city view and got 2 single (SMALL) beds with a pool view...The room was old and super well worn ...No A/C they gave me a fan ... the safe advertised wasn't free and wasn't secured to anything ...you can pick it up and walk out the door ... The breakfast included was great ... pool area very nice but had groups of young man making noise all day ...so much for sitting in the sun and chilling out... Complained to management about A/C but never had any

2 great things about this hotel...

...The location to the strip was fantastic if you want to party, the pool was great as well. We were 4 couples traveling and all our rooms had no A/C or not a very good A/C. It is an older hotel and you get what you pay for but ask for a room with a pool view in the hopes the music isn't as loud lol. Bring ear plugs! The strip is open until 4am and pool music starts at 10am. We had a fantastic time in the area and Old Town was so much fun.

Would not recommend but very cheap

I booked for 1 night as I was meeting friends in a different hotel the day after. The hotel is purposed for a lads weekend away, very cheap. Impossible to sleep as it’s right on the main strip, very dated and run down.

Please note this is review from 50+. We enjoyed location of the hotel as it is close to great party location. Great hotel pool and breakfast is good.
Complain there is no A/C that worked in room great. Mattress was terrible. 1 Staff at the pool was not very nice and made experience not so great.
But my experience should not deferred you to come here as you may have amazing time.

Overall a good 1 week stay with a very convenient location on the middle of The Strip in Albufeira. We were pleasantly surprised the room's double glazing to be quite effective in blocking most noise from the strip and the poolside area was nice enough. Just two points of improvements would be we found the air conditioning to be rather poor considering the climate during peak season when we stayed in August, which impacted our sleep at times quite badly. Secondly, to extend the breakfast times by a few hours as we found 7:30-10:00 a little short (perhaps 6-11:00 would be better) considering most guests staying would have been out until late on the strip as we had some nights. Therefore, some mornings we found it a little too soon for breakfast alongside 7:30 a little too late on our departure day and I'm sure other guests have found this too.

Do not stay!! Air con not working properly in any of the rooms, no fans available, glass in the pool not cleaned after being reported for three days, the pool in general does not get cleaned (green algae ring and floating rubbish). Reception staff are polite but not helpful when asking for help or filing a complaint, cleaning staff are extremely rude we were refused towels twice because they claimed we had clean ones in room already. Location is the only positive as it’s located in the middle of strip, but not worth staying, absolutely vile!

The place is ideal for stag/hen/young holidays in a perfect area. The pool area is actually ideal, big nice pool with loads of space. The rooms were very poor in quality even just for a bender…

Staff were hard working but at times a little off and when checking in it seemed to take an absolute age.

The price was right, but we didn’t realize the hotel was located right on the party strip. We had a room overlooking the bars and they were open till 4am with loud music blaring till then. That was our fault for not doing our research. But we had an unfortunate event where a severely drunk tourist tried to break down our door at 3am demanding we let him in. The phone in the room to call reception wasn’t working and the phone number for the hotel wasn’t working either so we had no way of contacting staff for assistance. Finally after 10 minutes the noise attracted someone and they managed to remove him before calling the police. But it was incredibly nerve wracking. Don’t know what we would have done if he had broken in.

Always enjoy staying . the hotel is situated right on the strip , so easy to find pubs and resturants. Rooms largely refurbished, i had walkin shower, all very clean. beds have good mattresses and bedding good and clean.
Good range of buff breakfast, new coffee machines since last visit.
some night time noise from street bars all night, through to morning. less in pool view rooms and suites.
staff always pleasent.
Mostly customers are boys on stag nights, but usually there is no trouble.
this is my maybe 6 th stay this year and booked again for 2 weeks time with my son.

The ac was barely blowing air, the front desk lady was not helpful, after I called 3 times, I had to go to reception to get a ventilator to help cool the room a bit. The beds were uncomfortable, old mattresses. The area around hotel is nosy and full of drunk tourist teenagers. The only nice thing to mention was breakfast

The worst hotel experience ever. I reserved a room for 3 people and, upon check-in, the staff told me that the room was unavailable and did not know when it would be available. To make matters worst, the staff was incredibly rude and callous with their remarks and hinted that it was somehow my fault. Never again will I attempt to stay here.

Excellent amenities. Outstanding staff. Great value for money and I’ll definitely be staying here again. Breakfast, lunch and dinner also great.
My only complaint was that they didn’t have contactless payment machines at the time and couldn’t find me an iron for personal use but there is a laundry service.

This hotel is extremely basic. I enjoyed a great big room but the bed was very uncomfortable. I like a firm bed but I actually had to check to see if it had a mattress. No kettle, tea or coffee options in the room either, which is a real disappointment. The breakfast was the usual emphasis on bread, cakes and tons of carbs. It sufficed. Behind the hotel there are many. Really good restaurants: 3 Palms is one, about 10 mins up the road and Augustus is another, a bit closer. Right in front of the hotel is a really sleazy street with cheap bars and cafes, not so nice.

Our trip to algarve was short, we only needed a place for two nights, wanted to be close to the beach and didn’t do much research. The hotel is in the heart of town, located on the same strip as all of the bars, which made it very difficult to sleep. The music didn’t stop until about 4, noise around 6 and then the ground cleaners were going by 7 with leaf blowers. Walking distance to the beach which made it nice to not have to move the car, also walking distance to downtown albufeira. Pros - the included breakfast was descent and the staff was friendly and helpful. Cons - very noisy area, room was just ok, not 100% clean, had to pay extra for everything including parking and the safe in the room. Because we were only here for two days, we made the best of it, but i would not recommend for a relaxing week vacation. I personally, would not stay again.

The room was generally clean and facilities were adequate. Most of the staff were friendly and cheerful apart from one lady in the reception. The large black haired lady was abrupt and sometimes unhelpful. The swimming pool was a good size. The breakfast choice was good, but the cereals were stale and not very tasty. The rooms that face the 'Strip' need sound proofing. The young Brits and Dutch people drink and party outside till 6-7am in the morning and make a lot of noise. They litter the place with bottles and plastic and half eaten food. Not the hotel's fault. It is difficult to sleep as the noise goes on till 6am. Go to a different hotel if you want a quiet and restful holiday.

The property is an absolute dump! The staff are rude, the lobby smells like rotting fish and the rooms look worse than I imagine prison to be. They make you pay extra for everything (ie use of the safe to store your valuables, and mini fridge, even make you pay a 20 euro deposit for the iron!!!!). It’s extremely loud because it’s right beside the bars. It seemed like good “value” for the money but it isn’t. Stay anywhere else.

Leonardo the chap on reception was brilliant! All other staff were friendly & welcoming too. Some areas were slightly dated & in need of some TLC, but it did not spoil our stay. Breakfast was fresh & had a good array. Didn't eat there in evening, do couldn't comment on dinner there. Great location in middle of everything in the new town. Would recommend paying bit extra for pool view though as street view us right over The Strip - Albufeira's main bar & club drag.

Good but not good enough

Staff were helpful at times. Had wanted a double bed ended up with 2 single ones joined together. The cleaners didn't give the room.a thorough clean had sticky surfaces were the drink was spilt but no one cleaned it. Had no wardrobe to hang clothes and if we did they were visible for all to see, had to pay extra money to use the mini bar in the room and the safe and there was an extra cost to using the iron if kept over night. The nightlife was amazing but you couldn't sleep till 3 or 4 in the morning really noisy. Had a nice view looking over the strip.

Basic, good improvements made

This was the 4th year I have stayed here and they have made some good improvements to the rooms. Bathroom refitted, now with lovely (and good) walk in shower. Room redecorated to a reasonably good standard.
Windows and door to balcony could do with attention- gaps around balcony door and one single, very flimsy bolt didn’t feel very safe or secure (as balcony could be easily accessed from public areas) . Needs better door / windows with double glazing to reduce noise and improve security
No hairdryer or tea making facilities and towels are seriously worn out. There was a fridge and safe but disappointed you had to pay extra for these, really should be included.
Staff are absolutely lovely - friendly and courteous at all times.
Pool area needs some attention- the pool is a little grubby around the sides, the tiles around the pool are broken and uneven in quite a few places. There are plenty of sun beds but these really need replacing- very old and worn out now.
Great breakfast selection, and a decent snack bar with reasonable prices for a hotel.
Location is in middle of Strip but quiet enough in a poolside room.
This is not a top grade hotel but you are not paying top grade prices. It is basic but clean and comfortable- good value.

Room was on the side of a street wgere all clubs are. Forget about sleeping till 4am. When ive asked for change of the room coz i wanted peace and quiet during my stay i was told to pay extra and that the other only room was on the second floor. Apparently there was nothing else free.
Well thats a lie coz most of the rooms were empty in the hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel 11 times over the last 6 years but found that the cost of staying there has increased dramatically, as has the cost of my holidays booking through Expedia.

During my last stay I sourced other accommodation, 100 yards away, that offer the same, if not better facilities, at a fraction of the cost.

Pricing that other accommodation and booking flights directly with the airline I have discovered that I can take the same holiday for about £200 cheaper.

I will not be booking again.

My 2nd stay at this hotel this year and was the best so far.
Party of 4 men with a room each.
We had asked for specific rooms and the staff did everything they could to sort this out.
Many many reviews will state about the rooms facing the strip and its true.
Do not have them if you want sleep as the music doesn’t stop until 4am.
Pool facing rooms are excellent.
Pool was fine and plenty of sun beds available.
Pool bar and upper bar were very good.
Staff on reception are excellent and are always there to help.

The hotel room was the most outdated I've seen - tv 20+ years old, only sockets were 1 in the bathroom, 1 in the bedroom and 1 which the tv was plugged in to. Room ridiculpusly noisy with noise going on till 2am weekdays and 6am weekend. Pool not kept clean. Very deceiving \"activities\" to do with the mini golf being made of metal and rusting and not maintained. Hotel 15 minute walk from beach minimum. Would rate this hotel 2 stars. Not 3. Good hotel for stag/hen do's due to the noise. Otherwise request pool view room.

From the time I walked in room was dissappointed with the dirt on the floor everywhere, dirty and stained towels, remote to old fashioned tv didn't work.
The breakfast was the same everyday, we had a takeaway breakfast on one of our days there as we were going early for a day trip and all that was given was a small carton juice,water,one cheese n ham roll n one orange.
The whole hotel need a revamp as all the windows are not double glazed so all the noise from the hotel bar and street can be heard from all the rooms.
The bathroom was so dirty and never once did the floor get clean and filthy towels and toiletries were not properly replenished.

A very nice hotel in great location

We booked for location right by bars but we also wanted a quiet room, the hotel gave us a lovely room overlooking the pool we never heard any noise at all so was perfect, very hot and had great air con an absolute must as was over 30 degrees. We had breakfast included and it was great self service lovely food, coffee, drinks no complaints at all. Hotel staff in particular were very friendly and helpful, Leo on reception and on our departure we had a delay with taxi pick up and reception manager kindly called them for me.

City view needs soundproofing! Music not so bad but the base... I couldnt sleep! I dont drink or party so I clearly booked the wrong hotel. Bed was tiny for a bigger person to share for 2 of you. Pool needs some serious work. Cleaning, better filters and not just a hose pipe to fill the pool but chlorine or salt water.... almost like stagnant water and scum on the surface with plasters floating and black stuff all on the floor. Food not great and not much variety, would like more fruit! Took 3 days to fix a lamp that was reported first night.... our bedroom was in almost darkness at night, had to use our torches on our phones.

Great stay really good hotel to stay At. Great for couples who want to be near where everything is happening. On the doorstep to the strip so can get noisy at night so if you want a quiet room go for pool view room. Only let downs to the hotel was the lack of sunbeds around the pool and that the pool area is not lit up at nights which would be nice to sit on the balcony and overlook. Other than that its a great place to stay. Cheap and cheerful

Very enjoyable stay

Hotel is right at the Strip in Albufeira so is great for people looking for a good time. We stayed on the pool side which I would recommend due to the night life. Quick walk to the beach and lots to do around. Comfortable hotel would visit again!

Better than expected

Looking at previous reviews I didn't hold out much hope that this hotel would be very good but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is lovely, the rooms are very basic, literally bed and drawer space but thats to be expected for the price. The place is very clean and tidy and the rooms are kept at a good standard. The staff were very nice and friendly. Regarding the noise, we have pool view room (thankfully other rooms literally on the strip) the party scene goes on until around 5am/6am depending on the day so can imagine you will have little/no sleep in a strip facing room. The noise in the pool facing room was tolerable, all you mainly here is the bass so if you need silence to sleep this is definitely not the place for you. There are a lot of 'club goers' that stay here due to the location so you do get people shouting around at gone midnight but most of the time dealt with by staff if too excessive. The pool is lovely although trying to get a sun bed can be a challenge, people like to reserve them in the morning so if you want a pool day best get down there nice and early. The breakfast was ok, basic continental, was all thoroughly cooked so cant complain. Hotel could do with updating but for you get what you pay for, a fridge would be very helpful in the room to keep drinks cool. Other than that its a good hotel for cheap holiday away.

This hotel was lovely. Although on the main strip once inside my room you could not hear the noise. The hotel were very accommodating I request top floor with a pool view when booking and thanks what I had. The room had been newly refurbished and was lovely. I travelled alone to this hotel and would highly recommend it.

Great facilities minus the noise and strict staff

I had a city view room for cheap and a decent amount of time. I enjoyed the pool out back, regular cleaning of the room and the breakfast was average.
Me and friends have found the staff very strict and they initially warned us about noise as if they were going to be kick us out. We proved to them our positive conduct and they did not have issues after.
The worst thing however is the noise in the rooms facing the strip. I rarely slept and had to buy ear plugs as a result. They need to have some sound proof for those rooms.

It's just too noisy

Staying on the strip is handy but the noise level makes it impossible to sleep. The staff are nice but the hotel is dated and needs a full refurbishment.

Weekend stay 26th - 28th

Weekend break two adults. Hotel generally caters for adults / stag and hen parties being close to the main bars and restaurants. It's a great location as everything is right on your doorstep. Comments by other reviewers stating request a poolside room is 100% accurate as the nightlife carries on through the night.

In the heart of everything.

The hotel is right on \"the strip\" where you'll find restaurants and bars. As previous customers have said it is noisy at night but what do you expect when your in the heart of everything! The hotel is very clean, good choice of breakfast and we found the staff helpful and friendly. Overall we cannot fault this hotel.

The staff were friendly and helpful alway said morning to you and have a nice day too. In a good location for bars and restaurants. It is better to have a room on the pool side otherwise you would be looking at the main strip road. Room was clean fresh towels every day. Could do with a table on the balcony.

Not a great hotel. Operated with a lot of nonchalance. I don't think they care about ratings. The room wasn't exactly what I requested either. Light didn't work, I wasn't given a brief, not even a wifi password. Simply tossed the key and told my room was on the ground floor. It was central to bars and restaurants but will certainly use a different property if I go back to Albufeira

Great location

Superb hotel, very friendly staff close to shops, clubs and beach.
Breakfast and dinner were great, lots of choice and done you a surprisingly high standard. I was concerned by some other reviews but, the did far out did my expectations.
