A peaceful, relaxing oasis with a beautiful pool/ courtyard area and comfortable rooms decorated in a traditional style. The homemade breakfasts were incredible and more than substantial. Easy walk to town center, shopping and restaurants (but without the noise of the city). George, Sarah and Aaron were always available and very helpful. Highly recommend doing a food tour at the local market (near Plaza Grande) for better food at a fraction of the price of the touristy restaurants. Also enjoyed day trips to Uxmal and some rural cenotes, the flamingo beach at Celestun, the free city center walking tour, and a boat trip to Isla Columpias. Mérida is a safe and friendly city - we would definitely return and stay at Casa del Maya again.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful casita in Mérida. Everything about our experience exceeded our expectations. The casita itself was charming, clean, and very comfortable. The pool was absolutely perfect for cooling off after exploring the city, and we spent a lot of time enjoying the peaceful outdoor space.

The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and they made our stay feel special from the moment we arrived. The location was also ideal—close to everything we wanted to see while still feeling quiet and relaxing.

Breakfast each morning was delicious and such a nice touch. It was the perfect way to start the day before heading out to explore Mérida.

We truly loved our stay here and would absolutely come back. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Mérida!

My girlfriend and I loved our stay at Casa del Maya! The property grounds are beautiful, with very lovely plants growing all around. Aaron took care of all of our needs and the women in the kitchen cooked us a delicious breakfast each morning. We got to see the owner, George, almost every day and we really enjoyed getting to know him. He really cares about making a special experience.
We also took advantage of the sister property around the corner, Oasis, and enjoyed the Balance yoga class and we also got a massage at the spa.

(*Note we did not need a room upgrade because we already had one of the best rooms!)

We had already reserved the best room, so they couldn't upgrade us :) Staff were nice and responded to texts but maybe weren't around as much as usual since both the owner and manager had babies due the week we were there! Excellent excuse :) If you ask for what you need, it seems all is possible. For example, I asked to borrow a snorkle mask and waterbottle, and they happened to have some that other guests had left behind. They arranged a massage for me ($50 US) at their other (more upscale) property on a couple of hours notice.
We wanted a charming place and we got it! The property is lovely, quiet, decorated beautifully, mellow. They have an honor bar and plenty of bottled water. Nice breakfast, not gourmet but hot and homemade. I did not prefer our shower, a rainshower, bc it was impossible to start it to warm up without getting wet. That's just me. The a/c worked like a charm. Adding some little snacks and upgrading the coffee would be welcome improvements.
The location is convenient, about 5 blocks from the main areas. It is not unsafe or dirty, but there are many vacant buildings and the sidewalks are in terrible condition. Not many businesses, and even those few seemed to be closed sun-tues so it felt deserted. We did love the eco-store nearby that sells staples by the ounce, like nuts, granola, shampoo.

We had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend. Breakfast was great, and the owner greeted us and was very warm and friendly. It is in walking distance to several locations most want to visit. We felt safe walking around, no problems at all. If you’re looking for something ultra luxurious this isn’t it but if you want a quaint, clean, zen and inviting experience don’t pass this bed & breakfast up.

The interior courtyard is lovely, quiet, lots of shady spaces to relax, while still being close to the historic Centro. We had stayed in a conference hotel for a few days prior, and the change of pace to calm and privacy was very welcome, especially as they allowed us to check in early. Breakfast was also tasty, and appreciated small touches, like a basket of sunscreen and buy spray.

Some of the possible options associated with the Casa del Maya seemed a bit too new age / woo for my taste, but one can easily ignore those,

Casa Del Maya is an excellent choice! The employees are extremely friendly and knowledgeable in regards to the area. They helped us find some of the nicest restaurants to visit around town, and even helped us order a taxi when checking out totally recommended. Not to mention they’re exquisite breakfast; they have amazing, genuine & absolutely delicious Yucatán dishes served hot and ready every morning! I will definitely be returning soon and recommending this hidden gem to others God bless!

Absolutely delightful property for a trip to Mérida! We rented the casita which is a separate space next door to the main Casa Del Maya (where breakfast is served and the other rooms are), the private pool was heavenly and much bigger/deeper than expected. AC worked well, as did the fridge/freezer, so this place provided much sweet relief from the heat and humidity. Was very nice having the kitchen to boil water so we didn't have to buy a ton of bottled water. The upstairs bedroom/bathroom does not have a door between the bedroom and bathroom - not a problem, just good to be aware of. The beds were comfy, service was exceptional, massages (around the block at Casa Oasis) were worth every penny, and breakfast was delicious. Parking is on the street outside the property, nothing officially designated but we never had an issue finding a spot right outside the door. Owners were responsive and very pleasant. The upstairs room is accessed by a metal spiral staircase outside with a lovely view of the whole property. Lots of amazing restaurants, shops, and parks within ~10min walking.

We spent ten wonderful days in the oasis known as Casa del Maya. It was our first trip to Yucatan Mexico and the beautiful colonial city of Merida. Upon our arrival, we asked Arun, the manager of the property, for a local guide. He introduced us to Carlos who is bilingual and offers tours. George and Sarah, the owners of Casa del Maya were delightful hosts. It felt like family our entire visit. Arun’s nieces made beautiful breakfasts every morning with local fruit and hearty servings of eggs and chorizo and homemade tortillas. There is absolutely nothing more we could have asked for our stay. We will visit again soon.

This is a wonderful place to stay in Mérida. We were taking a chance on the location as Casa del Maya didn't appear to be in one of the more central areas of town (at least from what we could see on the map) but it's close to everything. There were shops and restaurants right around the corner and some of the major plazas were just a short walk away. Everyone out on the streets was respectful and polite and we felt very safe as 3 women traveling together. As for the hotel itself, it is small and incredibly quiet and intimate. The owners stop by regularly and the manager and some staff are around all day for anything you might need. A HUGE thank you to Aarón, who helped us with everything from minor details to arranging transport and excursions. He and his colleagues are a wealth of knowledge, and incredibly kind and patient. Our room was clean and very comfortable, and the property is beautiful and a nice reprieve from the busy streets. We really felt we were at home during our stay and were sad to leave. The breakfast is also quite good! Highly recommend.

The B&B itself is so charming and has such a nice mellow vibe. It’s in a great location, very clean and the breakfasts were all delicious and healthy! First off the owners, George and Sarah, have chill and positive vibes and were gracious hosts. The Casa grounds are beautiful and serene with lush tropical plants that allow you to submerse in the beauty of nature, an oasis if you will. Sarah’s recommendation for fun entertainment were spot on! We enjoyed the jazz spot and the late night market with good food and live entertainment nearby. Casa Del Maya’s location is safe and perfect for exploring the many barrios within Merida centro. There were abundant restaurants, shops, and cultural activities around. I got my 10,000 steps daily with ease! The breakfast prepared by the wonderful mujeres are authentic and delicious! Do not miss out on the fresh cinnamon rolls offered daily! Aaron and staff ensured a clean and relaxing experience, always helpful and attentive. Finally, the event offered during the end of our stay elevated my total experience, sending me forth with peace, enlightenment and self love. A truly remarkable experience!

Casa Del Maya was a relaxing delight. We stayed in the casita, which has an upstairs bedroom with two balconies and a second bedroom in the downstairs apartment. The casita has its own private plunge pool. It was incredibly refreshing and fully appreciated on those hot days. The private pool and patio provided fun and a lush luxury where the casita with a full kitchen added ease and space for take-out dinners after a long day at the ruins and cenotes. Our family loved it here.
The casita is located next door to the main B&B where very morning Coffee/tea, fresh juice, and an amazing breakfast was enjoyed. We give this place a big thumbs up!

Very tranquil. No extraneous noise. AC was a welcome amenity considering I was not accustomed to the humidity. Arrangement of rooms allowed for the feeling of privacy. Staff were very friendly and helpful in assisting in arrangements for a visit to Uxmal. Easily within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Very pleasant stay!

Este hotel es fenomenal. Sonny y Aaron fueron muy amables y atentos. Todos muy lindos. El internet es rápido, el cuarto muy limpio y el patio es hermoso. La cocinera del desayuno hace un platillo nuevo a diario y están muy deliciosos. Toda nuestra estancia fue excelente con servicio excelente. La piscina es el toque especial después de un día de caminata y excursiones. Todo el personal es muy atento. Nos dieron toallas limpias para llevar a nuestras excursiones y toman el tiempo de platicar y preguntar cómo está la habitación. Recomiendo este hotel si te quedas en Merida.
