Superior Room, Ocean View
Room reasonably large with space for 2 people to move around comfortably. Plain balcony.
Small, but very nice, bathroom with toilet and quite a large shower – could do with an extractor fan; window not as effective.
Ocean view room means the opposite side of the hotel to pool and activities area, which means quieter.
Nice beach and ocean view is over the hotel car park and a road of low rise beach front apartments. Very little noise from outside. Higher floor probably has better view and quieter. We were on the 4th floor and the view was pretty good, and were not bothered by any noise.
Lots of wardrobe, cupboard and drawer space.
40+ inch TV. Several UK channels.
Six digit safe in the wardrobe is just big enough for my 15.6 inch laptop.
Wifi 10 mbps up / 10 mbps down in room.
Wifi connection with room number is a bit hit and miss, but reception has a work around.
Aircon fan was a little noisy, but it didn't stop us from sleeping. The aircon cooled the room fine.
Double curtains kept out light very well.
Hotel in general:
Could do with more no smoking areas and more clearly sign posted.
Good WiFi signal everywhere in hotel, even on my cheapo tablet.
Excellent and very extensive breakfast buffet with a little table service.
All staff and services were **excellent**, and staff were always very helpful.
A large variety of activities and excursions can be booked from the concierge desk.
Italian restaurant good.
Rather good cabarets every night at bar.

I have stayed here three times in three years. Without doubt the best food in a hotel in the area. In fact probably the best continually top quality food I’ve ever had in any hotel (and really most restaurants all over the world). It is a joy to have dinner. Breakfast is wonderful too.

The pools are heated to 28 degrees and all 3/4 are lovely. Staff enjoy their jobs. Service is perfect.

It is a quiet, top class hotel with gardens and tranquility. Nothing else like it in the area.

Amazing relaxing 50th celebration stay

An amazing in hotel right be the beach, just a two minute walk across a very quiet residential street to the the national park and dunes of Maspalomas. The pool and gardens resemble an oasis with all the canary palms around and the neighbouring property adding to the illusion of endless palms. The room was excellent, clean and well maintained as well as quiet. Water was offered daily and a chocolate before bed time. The up-price for halfboard was well worth the reasonable additional cost as the food is of excellent quality with a 4 course meal 4 nights and excellent BBQs the 3 other nights with everything that your heart desires.The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and speak multiple languages not limited to Spanish, German, English and Dutch. There was very good nightly entertainment during and and after dinner and the 70s style bar lounge has a great vibe. Breakfast was phenomenal and should you wish to swap dinner for lunch you can do so as well if you let the staff at reception know the day before. It was my 50th birthday during our stay and the staff took the time to congratulate me and also left a very nice surprise for me in the room which was very much appreciated. We did not hire a car as we wanted to relax and celebrate and used reasonably priced taxis to get into town and the local express bus to go to Las Palmas both of which can be taken from stops a short walk away. To and from the airport we organised one transfer online and another via the hotel.

One of the very best hotels I have stayed in for service and food quality. The only fault I would have is that everywhere was chilly at night - my fault for going in January and to be fair to the hotel I imagine doors open everywhere was down to covid which I fully accept. Their covid procedures were exemplary. All staff wore face masks and not once did I see a single case of the all too irritating masks being pulled down below the nose because the wearer doesn’t really want one on. The guests were also very careful.
The food was excellent, both breakfast and evening meal, excellent choice and quality.

Service and location is great, however hotel can do with upgrading the decor, little too old fashion .
Depending on the location of the room because of half circle .
Our bathroom was tiny , balcony’s are small.
Tea and coffee facilities in the room are basic .no coffee machine.
Breakfast display is superb.
Dinner option alternate between buffet and table service.
The table service and menus option was very good.I preferred this option .
Buffet had good selection, with limitations.
The gym is semi outdoor, with basic facilities
Spa is very good, the steam room area is great however it was shut due to Covid .

The Seaside Palm Beach is a lovely friendly hotel. The staff are excellent, for example making a phone call on my behalf in Spanish. Also the hotel provides nice touches like a present filled stocking outside the room door on St. Nicholas's day. The breakfast buffet is superb and the hotel is in a great location, with lots of restaurants etc nearby.

Let me start by saying that We had an amazing time at Maspalomas and at this hotel. It’s very central, walking distance to the beach and to town and is well maintained and the staff are excellent. We had a beach view room and the view from the balcony was amazing. Breakfast was plentiful and the pool area was clean and organized well.

Having said that, the hotel is a 4 not a 5 star. It absolutely caters to German tourists (our greeting card was in German). While I loved the decor because it reminds me of a Kubrick film, it could also be viewed as dated 60’s decor. There’s no room service and the bathroom, while well designed, is smaller than the one in my NYC apartment.

In summary, a great 4 star hotel but at 5 star prices. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat but just trying to be truthful.

A very pleasant surprise

Loved this hotel from the minute we checked in to the minute we checked out. All the staff from the Manager to the Chambermaids are extremely helpful & happy in their jobs and it shows everyday. The food was absolutely wonderful including the buffets & a la carte meals. We had a spectacular suite with a. bedroom & living room and an enormous bathroom. A Daily Mail newspaper delivered to us each morning which was a special touch. A lovely bottle of Champagne & snacks when we arrived and bottles of water & fresh fruit daily. I had a mobility scooter while I was there & it was looked after everyday and charged for me overnight when I came back with it. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and would encourage anyone to go there.

Deserving of its 5 star status

The hotel is in an excellent position. The beach is a short walk away together with a small shopping area and restaurants and bars.
We were welcomed in a friendly and professional manner and offered a welcome drink whilst checking in and having the hotel facilities explained.
The room was spacious, immaculately clean and well appointed overlooking the swimming pool and restaurant.
Every morning the room was cleaned and tidied to a high standard and the turn down service with fresh towels, chocolates and bottles of water in the early evening was a very nice touch.
On the first night although it was late, 10pm, we were served very graciously in the tapas bar. The waiter made excellent choices for us and the service was prompt.
The breakfast choice is unbelievably huge; everything is fresh and plentiful.
We opted to go half board after trying one of the local restaurants. The food in the hotel, set dinners and bbqs was very good, again with huge choices for both dinners and bbqs.
The pools, gardens and spa area are all well maintained and beautifully laid out.
Staff were helpful, polite and smiling, nothing was too much trouble. The staff genuinely cared about the service they were giving. The staff look immaculate in their fresh, pressed uniforms.
Guests are made to feel very special and are treated with respect.
This is an excellent hotel, well organised, well maintained and has a caring attitude.

This Hotel is highly recommended. Extremely well organised set up and all the staff are very friendly and really do look after you well.
You would really need to be nit picking to find anything to complain about here.

The food is absolutely amazing and of a high quality and plenty choices too.
More suited to the older generation perhaps but there were some families with young children and there is a kids club and a seperate pool for them too.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Palm Beach and will return.

Very relaxing stay near the beach.

From entering the service was top notch. The hotel is advertised as being recently renovated and I couldn't find fault with the decor in either the rooms or common areas. All the staff are courteous and pleasant to interact with.

The sauna area is also first class although a tad small for the size of the hotel offering the traditional sauna and solarium but also a cold plunge pool, stone bath and salt cave. It tended to be quieter after 6pm although please note that it is a naturist area while the rest of the hotel is not. Hopefully they will look into extending this area in the future.

Food options are either BBQ buffet or a set menu that changes according to the day. No matter what I ordered the food was delicious. Restaurant staff were always attentive and on hand and despite me being on my own it was a pleasure to dine in the outdoor restaurant with low key entertainment laid on while you eat before moving to the pool bar for more entertainment if you wish.

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel. Generally it was a nice hotel but we expected a bit more from a 5 star hotel. The room was very warm and air conditioning was supplying hot air ! They tried on 3 occasions to fix it but it did not work and we gave up. They asked us to put the curtains on all day while we paid extra to have sea view and wanted to enjoy the view!!
Break fast and food quality was very good. I just preferred freshly baked bread for breakfast which would have made a big difference. Location was good and close to the centre, shops and restaurants. Staff at the reception were nice and friendly

Excellent Luxury Hotel in a Beautiful Location

We spent a week at this excellent luxury hotel. Very difficult to fault it at all. Excellent facilities. The overall atmosphere sophisticated and civilised. Only slight problem was that lots of the guests smoke during dinner, and the non-smoking area is rather too small. The children were remarkably quiet and well behaved - so very welcome for a mature couple life us. Charming and helpful staff, wonderful and varied food, beautiful swimming pools. We loved the enormous sandy beach, the famous dunes, and the nearby lagoon which is a nature reserve with great flocks of birds.

Good location, great pool but overall not 5 star\n

Nice room and balcony overlooking the pool. However the bathroom was small and a very low standard compared to other hotels we have stayed in. No bath. good hot shower, but it was positioned in a cramped space between the toilet and basin 'wet room' style with a shower curtain that you pulled in a tight circle around you and kept sticking to you as you were trying to shower. No soap dish or shelf to put shampoo etc on while showering, had to put it on the floor. There was no extractor fan, only a window onto the hallway, so after showering the floor would be wet for ages and wasn't very pleasant getting to the toilet until it dried out. No towel rail, we stacked them on a chair, one day we had to call down for towels as ours had been taken away and not replaced. Coffee and tea sachets were replenished once in our ten day stay. There was sky television, I was looking forward to watching a movie early evening before we went out, but the hotel didn't have a pin and so it was locked until after 8.00pm. I asked reception about this and she said it wasn't appropriate to be watching adult films during the day (I'm 59!). I spoke to the manager, who did get maintenance to unlock the sky one evening at 6.00 but after that it was locked again and I gave up! Frustrating to have it available and not be able to access it though! Breakfast was good, but having to eat outside at this time of year was chilly even with sweaters, glad we hadn't opted for dinner!

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and the breakfast was excellent with a huge variety. The quality of service is of a very high standard. The only issue was the twin beds provided despite making the booking for a double bed. The hotel of this category should make arrangements to provide double beds for couples.

Overall it is a very good hotel with an excellent location near the beach.

Excellent hotel and facilities (although we did not try out the spa as the weather was too good!) There were no issues with getting sun loungers by the pool. Breakfast was outstanding - a huge choice and all delicious. The majority of guests seemed to be German and the age profile was significantly older than us - we are in our late 30s (but that could have been the time of year that we went). Rooms were spacious and clean. All staff were helpful and courteous.

The service at this hotel was ok. Cleanliness of the room was good. Location was good. However, this hotel is not a 5 star hotel and not a disign hotel as it claims to be. It might have been in the late 90's and early 2000, but we found it to be rather outdated. There are a few hotels nearby which are less expensive and much better quality.

Exceptional hotel - thoroughly recommend!

A fantastic hotel. Have stayed twice now. Have been made to feel special both times.

The second time was half board. The food at the hotel is amazing. There is the BBQ, served a few nights a week, where chefs cook to order. And on other nights, half board, you have a varied meal.

The hotel managers frequently walk around chatting to the guests and checking you are ok.

The pool attendants are very quick to respond. Unlike other \"5*\" hotels where you have a complicated system of exchanging cards for towels, towels are readily available - and usually within about 2 mins of walking close to a sun bed the pool attendant is across, bringing a cushion, folding new towels around it, checking the umbrella is ok, and wishing you a good day! Perfect service.

The spa pool is lovely too - you can sit in the sun, in a heated pool with differing spa controls - seats and beds in the pool which bubble away on the press of a button - a great way to spend the afternoon.

The hotel also offers free wifi throughout - again a bonus versus other hotels that only offer it in the reception area. It even works by the pools.

All in all, would thoroughly recommend. It may cost a little more compared to other hotels, but you get back the difference in improved quality, great food, great service, and extras like wifi included.

Voor sommigen kan het hotel wat verouderd oven, maar wij vinden het vintage design van de bekende architect Pinto nog steeds top. Alle comfort in de kamer, supervriendelijk personeel, mooie afwisseling tussen wisselend à la carte menu en BBQ. Wij komen snel terug!

Die Unterkunft hat ihren eigenen Charme und vermittelt eine gemütliche Atmosphäre; eine umfassende Sanierung der Zimmer wäre wünschenswert. Auf Hinweise wird adäquat und professionell reagiert.

Service und Speisen im Restaurant sind hervorragend, das Personal stets freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Das Haus wird gerne von Stammgästen besucht, was sich auch in der Altersstruktur der Gäste widerspiegelt: überwiegend 70+.

Der tropische Garten sowie der Sport- und Saunabereich laden zum Entspannen ein.
Die Lage ist ideal für einen erholsamen Strandurlaub.

Sehr gutes Hotel, perfekte Lage zum Strand und super Essen. Einzig störend sind die bereits um 8:30 zu 90% belegten und reservierten Liegestühlen am Pool. Seit Jahren wird dies bemängelt und nan reagiert überhaupt nicht, schade. Das Faro Hotel verbietet Reservation von Liegestühlen und entfernt Tücher innerhalb 15 Minuten. Es ist also schon möglich wenn man das will.

Fijn hotel met zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Heerlijk ontbijt en zeer uitgebreid. Ook avond eten van zeer goede kwaliteit.. wel vrij duur voor te overnachten

Our last stay could not meet all of our expectations considering the pricing and standard of this hotel.
Therefore, we decided to rather not return again.

Please see below a list of positive and negative observations during our stays:

food served was tasty
staff were very friendly overall
bathrooms in good condition
hotel pools and garden are real highlights

- some staff seem to lack service orientation and seemed a little too unmotivated in their roles

- pigeons are lovely animals and a symbol of peace - however, observing daily and frequent fights of up to 5 pigeons on different breakfast tables around us was too much. Removing all leftover foods as soon as guests have left and not only after breakfast is closed would help a lot to prevent this sort of entertainment.

- one night we found a cockroach in our room. Reporting this at the reception we were told the cockroach was removed from the room - when we returned it was still there, happy and healthy, so this statement was a lie. Our impression was that staff did not take our issue seriously. The next day we found a dead cockroach in the corridor which remained there until our departure 2 days later.

Fantastic hotel except for music entertainment

Ett mycket fint hotell i precis alla avseenden. Varenda detalj stämmer.
Men kvällsunderhållningen i form av ”konserter” med coverband ända till 22.30 -23.00 måste skippas eller dras ner på betydligt.

De todos los 5* es el que tiene el mejor servicio (con diferencia!) y la segunda mejor ubicación. Quizá el servicio de cena podría ser un pelín más rápido los días de cena menú (dom, lun, mie, vie). Altamente recomendable, nosotros somos clientes habituales.

Sehr schöne Lage - wenige Minuten zu Fuß zu den Dünen von Maspalomas. Service perfekt - alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr aufmerksam. Wir fanden die Abende mit serviertem Menü sehr gut - da kommt viel mehr Ruhe in den Abend. Die Auswahl der Speisen hervorragend. Poolservice klasse. Saunabereich ein Traum.

Es war wieder wunderschön und es gibt nur Kleinigkeiten zu bemängeln. Dazu zählt, im Bad keine Dusche, sondern Badewanne und die vorhandenen Möbel waren äußerlich etwas beschädigt. Sehr hervorzuheben ist die hohe Qualität der Speisen, die Freundlichkeit jedes einzelnen Mitarbeiters, sehr persönliche Atmosphäre und super gepflegte Außenanlagen, alles für einen erholsamen Urlaub vorhanden. Und die Ruhe in den Zimmern ist fantastisch, keine Geräusche von benachbarten Zimmern.

In the beginning of our stay we experienced a very nice hotel with good service and food … but at the last 3 days of our stay of 7 seven days especially the main restaurant could not handle the arrival of a lot of new guests. Stressed waiters and chiefs and everyone else . No or unpolite service. Everyone at the hotel did what was possible but they were just understaffed- by far. - The only reason we did not leave was we did not no where to go. But again the first period of our stay was very nice.

Dieses Hotel ist für mich das schönste Hotel auf Gran Canaria. Es wird von empathischen und sehr lieben Menschen geführt. Das Personal herzlich, die Küche vom Feinsten, die ganze Anlage ist ein Traum. Ich möchte mich bei allen bedanken es war wie schon im August eine wunderschöne Zeit, die ich erfahren durfte.
