Winter short break

Stayed here for 2 nights, hotel is very clean, staff spend a lot of time cleaning. Hotel room was small but clean and functional, furniture was looking tired and room would benefit from a refurb. Bathroom was small, door was difficult to open, couldn’t adjust the shower as the head was pushed up against the ceiling making showering awkward. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure.

We did the all inclusive option, wouldn’t do that option again if we stayed here as not good value for money. Our first night we enjoyed the food, was hot decent quality for all inclusive and it was busy in the dining room, unfortunately our second night was different, much quieter and food choice and quality was not as good, it was the same with breakfasts, first day proper orange juice, second day seemed to just be orange squash. Some food had gone cold, some was still hot nit great.

Location of hotel was fine, we stayed out of season and the area was quiet which we prefer. Short walk to the seafront and buses to Palma etc

Good and Clean

The location is 2 mins from the Beach, kind of new Area, 12 km until Palma city center.
Lots of shop’s and restaurants around.

Very touristy area that I would not recommend. The hotel was fine for one night (close to airport), but the area was trashy. For the money, you can find better hotels on the island. The staff at the hotel was very nice, but the people staying were all there to party and up very early to drink and blast music.

The location was perfect, if you want frills this is not the place for you , it’s good value , breakfast and evening meal included, food was fresh and lots of choice , I would suggest that you check out your room before sleep time as it can be noisy in parts of the building at night. You have to ask, information not forthcoming.

A pocos pasos de la playa. Si bien el mobiliario de la habitación debería ser actualizado inmediatamente, el hotel es muy cómodo y está bien ubicado para pasar unos días en Mallorca y recorrer la isla. Lo que es de destacar es la amabilidad del personal, desde el momento en que realizamos el check in, donde una chica de Bulgaria con excelente predisposición no asignó rápidamente una habitación antes del horario correspondiente, es de destacar las sras que atienden el comedor todo el trabajo que hacen para satisfacer a los huéspedes, la limpieza y la calidad de la comida. Y finalizar el día tomando algo en la barra con la atención personalizada de Sulaica, quien se esmeraba en verificar que estábamos a gusto. Que más se puede pedir....

We stayed for 10 days the hotel is situated just off the beach so we didn't use the pool the staff were very friendly and more than helpful our room was on the 9th floor was spacious and had a balcony with a view of the beach. Meal time's were very good so no need to rush food was very good plenty of room in the restaurant I would stay here again

Seaside hotel for a good price

Hotel isn't new but it is clean and close to the beach. It's hard to find parking near hotel - we parked car near MLL Palma Bay Club Resort on Bellavista street (approx 10 minutes walk from hotel). I liked breakfast and especially a dinner - there was a lot of to choose from - even ice cream. Drinks (beer etc.) was for a fee but I think it's normal.

room very small and no balcony but kept clean maid service every day glad we were only staying 4 days food was ok always plenty of salad and a choice of pasta dishes chips are on the menu every night and soup a good choice of deserts breakfast was continental no full english sometimes not very hot but there is a microwave plus side was aircon in rooms and free wifi through out the hotel even in the rooms maybe this is why it gets the extra star rating as i would personally from years of experience of travelling not rate it a 3 star more 2 but it was a cheap 4 day break and we managed if i was staying longer i would of asked for a room change the reception staff were very helpfull and friendly wish i could say the same for the rest of the staff swimmimg pool is small and gets about 2 hours sun at different intervals of the day this is maybe why there was only 2 sun beds if you are looking for a cheap break then i would say stay here

The hotel was close to the beach, very comfortable

We used this as a stop over before heading to Soller as flight very late. We were put in a room with a great view through to the beach and the beds were comfortable, shower good, perfect for what we needed.

Good choice for breakfast but not sure where they get their foamy yoghurt!!!

Overall perfect for a stop over.

When I eventually got my room it was like being in a HOSTEL , shower was broke, no view just a brick wall , dampness, the pool I mean the fish bowl was ridiculous, I can't travel far due to disablement, bar didn't open till 4pm , I was sitting in the bar at 4.30pm with a bottle of water my friend choked, I gave her water and the bar staff told me I couldn't give her it I must purchase it from the bar , the time that took my friend would have choked to death, what a joke the amount of money I spent their, I'm disgusted

Very close to the beach. Last option hotel :/

This hotel is not near 3*. I wouldn't give any stars. I think owners are very griddy. Having such a good location and running a hotel with dilusion and tricking people with fake photos on websites is not what I would choose to do.
Food - dog food in uk is much better. I found a hair in the food reported, stuff took out the hair but left the tray for guests to eat. Stuff is racists, they don't like English. i was very disappointed to hear that couple of times with other guests in the end they earn money from us:( The photo on the website is totally not what it looks like. Thin walls right in the middle of hundreds of flats. Very very noisy. Couldn't sleep at all. I was tired every single day.

We got there late. Manager was helpful with helping me with parking on street as hotelhas no parking. The room in pics showed balconies in all rooms but this was not the case. Noisy. Felt like hostel block. Food not fresh.Stale.Small bathroom.Hard beds.

Misleading pictures and information on this hotel

Pictures of the hotel were strategically taken and did not truly reflect the location, entrance, pool -(was a joke) , others were calling it a foot bath. It had 3 chairs around it ! The smoking area was few steps leading to the entrance to the hotel, very smelly.

Food was VERY disappointing, we were expecting a cooked breakfast, which there was not. Dinners were not good, the salads were always very nice, main course not acceptable at all. Chips 9 out of 10 dinners were chips, the last night was mashed potato. The fish looked as if it had been waiting there for a very long time, and aside of 2 dinners, the meat dish was just a mess, and not nice tasting either ! Vegetables looked tinned most evenings, and overcooked cauliflower going yellow, not terribly appealing. The sweets were OK, but the same each and every night..
There were no kettle or coffee facilities in the room. I believe the bar opened a few hours in the evening.

So the hotel exterior photo showed on Expedia isn't actually the hotel you'll stay its one across the road. The hotel is basic but clean. Was concerned we had no air con but wow the cooling system kept the room colder then any normal air con unit, don't be put off....

We had an enjoyable stay at hotel mediodia. It is pretty basic but very clean in all areas.
For the price we paid it was perfectly fine and comfortable. If you are looking for luxury this is not the place for you but if cheap and cheerful is ok then go for it.
The food is not the best but we always found someting reasonable, the salad bar is always acceptable.
We found all the staff we had dealings with polite and helpful.
Very close to the beach, a little bit noisy at night outside the hotel but not all the time.
Air conditioning in the room, large balcony, no tea/ coffee facilities in the room.
Don't expect too much, if you're happy with clean and comfortable you will be fine.

Hotel review

Hotel sited in arenal not Palma as originally quoted. Tiny pool not worth having. Two tiny lift that won't move with 4 or more in them. Room was small with small window and no view other than a brick wall 6 ft away.
Beds were horribly uncomfortable and not much softer than the tiled floor.
Food was reasonable and plentiful which was good to see. Staff were very approachable and always smiling, in fact I could not fault the staff at all. Towels changed and room cleaned daily. The bar was clean and bar maid very friendly. The hotel is clean and reasonably kept though in truth the whole area it sits in is very very dated. There is an alley near to the hotel with an 'erotic centre' sited in it with huge neon signs and a man sitting outside the front of the alley with, something like, \" biggest baddest pimp from hell \" printed on the back of it. The whole area was full of large gangs of German youngsters who though noisey were generally well behaved. The beach is fabulous and very clean. In short we enjoyed our stay but would not go back.

Great value for money....clean...great location...would go back...was dreading it after reading some of the other reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. Not great for families as much, but for couples like us who just wanted to relax on the beach...water sports etc and bars at night...it Was perfect. We didn't notice any noise at night either X

I have all kinds of holidays 5* to camping, I know what to expect by the rating and would say hotel a bit dated, beds like sleeping on barn doors but the linen was clean. Water always hot. View - great if you like looking at the guests in the hotel next door sat on their balcony! Food ok, limited choice but edible. Room was on small side. The pool is hardly worth mentioning because it was more like a large bath really! We were the only English speaking guests the vast majority of guests are Eastern Europeans/Russians. I had the misfortune to require assistance when I was unwell in the lobby, the man behind the desk pretended not to see me at first despite calling for help, he finally came over when other guests called out that i needed help, he said nothing I can do to help you I must stay behind my desk? So I wouldn't recommend this hotel to stay in as I'm pretty sure there must be plenty of others near who actually care and would offer assistance to a middle aged woman who practically crawls into reception crying for help with a ruptured groin hernia instead of leaving it to a young Russian couple who didn't speak a word of English. A certain level of care
And compassion for an unwell guest surely has to be 5*plus no matter how threadbare the towels are.

awful awful hotel - do not stay here

Booked a double room, was give a family room with the finest double bed ever. Went back to reception to ask for a swap and the lady and man had a 15 minute argument with us saying that 3 beds are better than 1 -.- customer service was disgraceful.
They finally gave us a double room, went in and it looked like someone else was living there and it was an absolute mess. Went back to reception again had an argument that it should be fine. We asked them to swap back to the original room and just make do, again an argument.
Food was awful, breakfast would do the job but dinner was terrible - defo do not book dinner!
Tables were never laid, at breakfast only spoon and knife? You had to get your own fork? Orange squash at breakfast, no drinks not even water with dinner unless you buy them.
The hotel has a bar which say it's open until midnight - this is great however no one is ever on the bar so you cannot actually get a drink. Do not use the hotel bar!
No use asking for tourist info - they are not keen to help.
Basically it was a terrible hotel and I definitely wished I never booked it.
Also swimming pool was freezing, tiny, and the sun never reached it.
Ni atmosphere ir entertainment in the hotel.

The hotel is well situated for the beach

There was a very small swimming pool badly situated with very few facilities and difficult access for elderly people the lounge area was dark with no TV or bar facilities and you had to go. Up 2 flights of stairs to reach it .the chairs in front area of hotel were uncomfortable to sit on and there was only wifi available in this area. The food was of average quality and limited choice and often Luke warm. The bedroom was small for three beds with no view no fridge no tea or coffee facilities and outdated ,three adults sharing room but only a single wardrobe and. 2 chairs to use an old portable TV on dresser with only one English Channel we were all very disappointed overall with the hotel facilities .

Hotel was nowhere near as bad as previous reviews had led us to believe. It certainly was not luxury, but was a basic, adequate and clean budget hotel, worth the price we paid for half-board although the TVs could do with updating No shower/shampoo provided, but always clean towels, and bed linen changed in the week. Meals, although not cordon bleu, were fine with plenty of choice. All hotel staff were extremely polite and helpful. The bonus was that the hotel is near to the beach, which we could see from our balcony. Plenty of shops, and the bars nearby didn't cause noise problems, although in the height of the season, this may be a different story. If the beach isn't your forte, then it's only a short walk past the marina to the start of the numerous small rocky coves. All in all, it was a case of,' we think we got what we paid for.' and weren't disappointed.

We had stayed in the same street previously but had not known until we arrived. In a central location to get around the resort is useful with the beach only at the end of the road. However they may wish to look at how they move it forward as looked and felt dated. Many people sat outside which could be intimidating to some when trying to enter or leave the premises as not much room. I would not return here again.

Just come back at 4th of July from one week holidays with my two kids. Well food rather basic, breakfast was good, but dinners was really, really bad. Rooms was clean and air condition work well. It's more for young people , than family's with kids, very loud, full of drunken Germans with not respect for other hotel guest (partying till 5 in the morning) only highlight of this hotel is the location, close to the beach, bars and shops.

The location was excellent for the price we paid for the hotel, and we were pleasantly surprised to find out that breakfast and dinner were included in the price. Bus to and from the airport left on the Main Street only a two minute walk away. Food was the same most days but good quality and quite a varied buffet. Staff were generally pleasant though the pool was small.

The bar no draught beers,no choice of wine and spirits.no air conditioning,the beds were brick hard,the maid used her pass card and just walked into the room,breakfast was not catered for British people. Having gone half board we had to Pay for a glass of water with our evening meals.

I would not heavily rely on the hotel's food as providing the best nutritional value. Ingredients are the cheapest you could possibly find but guess it's reflected in the budget price.

WiFi available only at the reception area.

Safe box you have to rent at the additional 2.5 euro a day located also at the reception area.

On the plus side, TIB bus stop ( the one that takes to a different beaches) located just around the corner as well as bust 21 that goes to the airport.

got lucky quiet room balcony partial sea view. a lot of rooms on road side so noisy sleep near impossible.walls paper thin hear every sound from other rooms. food? for what we paid didnt expect much and it wasnt great though salad stuff lovely and fresh. no cooked brecky continental only . we never ate out never went hungry.. to be fair we are not fussy and eat most things. hotel immaculately clean room comfy and clean. our room maid solly was great so proud in her work and a pleasure to see each day. a credit to the hotel . reception helpful particularly enrique always helpful with queries and friendly..arenal is a very busy area and noise would be intolerable if on road side of hotel. for this reason would recomend to young people who like to party. out of season people who are ready to take a risk on getting a quiet room and quiet neighbours for a very low price in a clean hotel

The staff are extremely helpful, courteous and polite. The hotel was spotlessly clean, room cleaned every day and fresh towels. Lovely bathroom, no sign of mould anywhere as you sometimes find!! We had a large balcony on the top floor, which overlooked the town and the hills in the distance, with a sea glimpse. It took us one minute to walk to the lovely beach. The restaurant was also spotless, with used dishes being removed from your table promptly. Always a clean table cloth and shiny cutlery. A large selection of breakfast and dinner dishes. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

except the sun and the beach everything else was below exceptations.The hotel receptionist was rude . Food wasn't fresh and was monotony. The room had view on the block of flats with very noisy occupants. When we opened the balcony there was an awful smell coming from the fast-food restaurants below.Avoid like plague!!!

Wouldn't recommend this hotel, not what you expect

Really poor experience at this hotel and certainly would not recommend at all. The room we believed we booked was nothing like what we actually got and when questioning at reception, the man behind the desk was the least helpful I've even known anyone to be - to the point of becoming rude and starting to serve the customer behind me whilst I was still trying to explain. Dinner was appalling - chips were the only thing slightly edible with no name tags to identify anything on offer. Breakfast was just as bad, with nothing labelled and like a cattle market as the space around the whole eating and seating area was so limited. The room was clean but far from basic, hard beds and forget the view as we could only see about 10cm of sky if we looked at the right angle - thanks to the very close and high rise buildings. Location may be walkable to the beach but the area is not family friendly at all and would certainly say this was the rough end of Palma. The front door has endless amount of people 'hanging around', more like a backpackers hostel - and as for the pool and rooftop, forget it because we never found it! I don't know how old the photos are but if you are expecting a room with a view, unless you are lucky enough to get one of the 5 or 6 that may have a view, all the others would be blocked by adjacent, very close high rise buildings. This is just my opinion but I was extremely disappointed by this hotel.

Good location - that's all.

Staff doesn't even acknowledge your presence at the counter.
It's a food included hotel so expect the younger budget crowd. Seems like most came home shouting/drunk at 4 or 5 am.

The rooms aren't soundproof. I could hear the neighbor even turning light switches on.

Food was okay, but limited.

The staff made it a huge disappointment.

I can just recommend it!

When we booked the hotel we were a bit worried about the condition of the hotel. But once we arrived to the hotel and got the room I was really happy with it. We got a room with a big balcony and with an amazing see view ! It was just fantastic! The food was nice, the staff were helpfull, the room was cleaned every day and the towels changed also every day. Thank you for everything again hotel mediodia!!!

the hotel is a primary location for young German youth that is comming here to drink alcohol, be very loud, arrogant , no respect for other guests and drink all day and night. We have NOT get a one good night of sleep in two weeks !!!

i was surprised that i was half board for the price the snag is the catering is more for the continentals than the Brits, that said i was edible for the more adventurous. the hotel was more of a two and a half star than a three. the pool is virtually shaded all day and never gets warm. that said good value for money.

Basic in every way

Used as a base for a cycling holiday so out everyday until 5pm or later. Served its purpose but surprised it has 3 stars. Not a fussy eater so I managed to live on the food provided but have had a lot better at 3 star hotels on this island. Bike hire from ciclos Quintana which was 50metres from hotel, great.

very close to the beach, room was old fashioned with no kettle or coffee/tea or cups, aircon worked very well and very spacious for the money. fresh towels and area was very safe and lively. transport was easy too to Palma and Soller, Porto Cristo etc. food was pretty good for the money I would stay there again no problems.

Ideal for early morning flight

Proximity to airport for early morning flight.very reasonable rate .room small but adequate for overnight stay.pity no view from window.and a/c switched off if window opened.otherwise a positive review .staff all very pleasant and helpful.

Great if you are young

Most of the comments already made about this hotel are accurate. The hotel is well placed with an easy transfer from the airport by taxi or bus and there are good transport links to Palma. The hotel staff,particularly the night receptionist are helpful. The rooms are satisfactory,clean and adequately furnished. Although the food is fairly standard and the same most evenings,it is plentiful and good value. Due to the large number of young people staying in the resort,there is a fair amount of noise well into the early hours both in and outside the hotel,so the area is best suited to teenagers/young adults. There are plenty of bars,small clubs and restaurants locally and the beach is metres from the hotel.

I had great stay to service was excellent. plus it was centrally located to different shopping area, public transportation. I will recommend this hotel to my friends who will travel to that area. I am planning to go back in the next three months.

Good cheap hotel

Near the front in Arenal,but not too near. The smallest pool in the world,useful if heatstroke beckons.Clean, comfortable,I had an inside room which was quiet and had a heat shaft where I could dry clothes in minutes.Walk-in wet room/shower. Food adequate with excellent desserts. Boiled eggs for breakfast.All in all,a nice hotel for the price.

Budget hotel, Noisy area.

Many german students around that make a lot of noise till 6AM. This means that if you are plannying to party all the time it is a good choice. Food was decent, staff friendly. The double room was too small,at the second floor, but had a big balcony, I guess rooms are different.
It could be improved having better window insulation and at higher floors since most of the noisy people sit at the kebab shop beside the hotel.
The standard is ok for a cheap hotel, the location is very specific.

The hotel is classed as 3 star which I think is overrated. Breakfast was fair but there was very little choice on the evening meal and the food was basic. I was very disappointed at the size and location of the swimming pool. The swimming area was approximately 5 metres by 4 metres and the sun was on part of it for about an hour a day, consequently it was always cold. The picture in your web site makes it look much bigger and we had specifically chose a hotel with a pool so that we could swim with our 7 year old grandson. For the first 5 days we were there we were the only English people there. This hotel is specifically targeted at the German market. They had Travel representatives there most days. I have nothing against Germans but I would have preferred to have had some English guests there. Our return travel details to the airport were completely in German. Surely the Travel company knew that we were English from our original booking.
The resort is occupied by 99% Germans, mainly 18 - 30 groups of men and women so we shall never return.

Not bad for a short stay

The hotel is ideally situated, as described, 80 meters from the beach, the rooms are a little basic for 3 star, but do the job they are there to do. There are no views from the hotel rooms, as it is tucked away between residential apartments, and local shops, however when you leave the hotel and turn right, you are met with the view of the beach and the main road leading across the seafront. This hotel is half board, however the food is very basic, if you are there for more than 3 days you will need to get your nourishment from a restaurant meal, otherwise face feeling a little underwelmed, not to mention hungry! You also have to purchase your drinks with your evening meal, breakfast is fully catered. Overall this a perfect short stay hotel, good price, friendly staff and great location, however if your looking for a bit of class, go for a 4/5 star in this area. The pool is very very small, and the games area was not functional during our stay, the tv is mainly German and Spanish, however that should not be a problem since watching tv in a hotel is such a waste when you have a hive of activities, bars and restaurants on your doorstep, not to mention a fantastic beach.

mediolia: good standard overall, but has a predominance of German visitors, so an emphasis on catering for German needs. The resort where the hotel lies is also German-dominated and the emphasis on restaurants and bars is Germanic: fine, but a little overawing with such a bias for other foreign nationals. The resort also a little run down and not a really clean and pleasant beach for bathing. Good proximity to Palma airport, with a cheap fare, served well by an efficient bus service.

Good hotel but a bit noisy

Me, my mother and my 7 month old daughter spend 5 nights in hotel Mediodia. General satisfaction is good, especially service and food. We had half board and it worn money, quality and variety of food was really good. Only one complaint I have about party of yang Germans next door, they were very noisy. Beach is very close to the hotel, there are lots of clubs, restaurants, bars. So, if you're have a little baby I would suggest to stay somewere else, but for party of yang people this is right place for a reasonable price, were you can enjoy beach and night life.

Hôtel largement suffisant pour un court séjour , nous avons passé seulement nos nuits et repas à l’hôtel, le reste pour les balades et plages . Le buffet est ni trop ni pas assez , parfait pour faire des repas light ou costaud :) . Et l’équipe est très agréable .

Wurde geld aus dem Zimmer geklaut, im Nachgang zur Meldung wurden die Taschen im Zimmer in Abwesenheit noch ohne Erlaubnis durchwühlt.

Aus der Duscharmatur kam kaum Wasser heraus.

Aufzüge war immer einer defekt.

Frühstück war eine große Auswahl.
