We did not like the fact it was on a split site, everything was too small and pokey, the drains in the shower and basin did not work properly and needed cleaning. the so called security payment was not refunded on checkout as stated on registration. Frankly not the standard we would expect from a corporate budget hotel.

We were pretty mucg forced to stay at this place for a second time, because in spite of our fist horrendous experience with them a few days prior, they refused to cancel our reservation and refund the money.
The room was bigger, but out of the 5 days, 4 of them we had problems: the second day we didnt have enough towels. Had to call several times starting the night before and then go all the way to the front desk to get towels so we could take showers.
The third day, they didn’t even bother to clean the room. We came tired to unmade beds, dirty and wet towels.
The fourth and 5th day, there was no hot water! And when we checked out, they had the audacity to ask how we liked our stay.
Never again in this hotel!

Food: If you walk to train station area there are lots of options to eat. The immediate area around the hotel is limited. Transportation: is to get a taxi from train stn however the taxi divers are scam artists. You can pay 20 to 85 euro. Be aware. Dont buy that its busy. Its always busy on the roads its Paris. The hotel itself is about a 2 star. It might be rated at a 3 or 3.5 out of 5 by north American standards but its a 2. The cost not worth it. Look around. Canada 🇨🇦

I didn’t like anything about the property.
I booked one room big enough for 4 people, expecting 2 full size beds at least. What we got instead was a small room with 2 twin beds and a lumpy fold out couch, complete with a bathroom with a shower that you can't use all the way because it floods the room. When we complained, they had the audacity to say that that was the biggest room they had, and were \"surprised\" that we didn’t feel comfortable in such a tiny room, even when we could barely move around without bumping onto each other.
The area is not safe, lots of drug addicts, homeless, and sketchy people around, and the stench right outside the hotel is horrid. It looks more like India than Paris.
The photos the use online are very misleading. The bedrooms look NOTHING like the pictures.
Not happy at all!

The actual hotel is not great if you have children and pushchairs or mobility issues as the one lift is quite risky to get in with such items less than a metre in width. Room is air conditioned and cleaned daily. One thing to look out for is the on demand £150 or 130euro upfront deposit! Take a picture of the deposit proof and ensure your bank does not get charged for this even if it’s a holding payment. I was not happy as on top of the tourist tax I was charged for this which the hotel did say they will not take from my account but the back confirmed the amount was pending. I regularly visit the Paris area, this hotel is conveniently located next to a bus stop within the Indian area of St Denis. Very ethnic and very noisy but really interesting. Really good selection of Indian restaurants nearby and only a 10min walk from the gare du nord station. La Chapelle metro is 5mins walk if you want to visit to other major tourist attractions. Both train and metro is 2.50 euros each way. Good hotel but I prefer the Montmatre area.

Location terrible, crowded and dirty. The hotel should be gutted, it is straight out of the 1970s, and never renovated. Sticky floors and disgusting lobby toilets. More like a hostel where one should pay 30 quid a night. How dare they call themselves a hotel. The lift is a pidgin hole, not able to carry one medium suitcase. Overlooking a dirty quadrangle,into apartments. Do not be fooled by online pictures. Toilet smelled of damp.

Very near the Train station. We came late at midnight the check-in went very smoothly. Was very hot in Paris but the room had an air-conditioning. Reception people were very nice and friendly. If you are looking for a budget hotel book this one. Easy to go around in the nice Paris as the Metro was only 2 minutes walking.

Hotel was very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is split in two. We were the part just up the road from the main part of the hotel. The is busy and can be a bit noisy but we didn't hear anything from our room. It is well situated for Gare Du Nord station. Not sure about the main part but the part we were in does not have a lift so you might have to be a bit energetic if you're on the fourth floor.

The customer service was good, I had no problem with that, the elevator is too small, I thought that in New York where I live the elevators are small but this elevator in Paris holds the record, the sector where the hotel is located was terrifying, it was impossible to walk without fear at night I did not feel safe the rooms were super small. I think they need to renovate the rooms and the hotel is not worthy of an American chain. It is \"well located\" but the location of the hotel and its surroundings were dirty and very noisy, I chose this hotel thinking that because it is an American brand it would be decent but no, I was wrong I’ll necee come back

I told something to the employee about the keaking in the toilet bowl and never fix it. Inask them the remote control for the aircon and thet said he will deluver to my room but never did it. They told the aircon is nit working. When you open the window the next door was so noisy and really hard to sleep.

Eventhough close to train stations, the reception people are not that welcoming. The lift is very tiny , only two people with hand baggage can stand and broken down 3 times while we were there. Family room is very small , bathroom was tidy and the cleaning lady changed the towels and stocked the tea and coffee every day. Another lady ( says came to overlook the rooms, opened the door without knocking the door while we were in, felt a bit insecure afterwards. Reported to reception but don’t know what happened. I later gathered from a Fri that the area is not that safe .Not worth the money they are charging for it

The proximity of the hotel was perfect for the places we needed to go. A short walk to Gare du Nord, major train station. Our room was clean, had a tv and was cleaned daily. The folks at the receptionist desk were friendly and provided assistance when needed.

It was quite difficult to get our luggage to our floor because the elevator could only hold one suitcase and one person at a time. Carrying 6 pieces of luggage up the stairs was not an option. The room had an awkward design that required us to either close our luggage each time we went to the bathroom or jump over it to get from one side of the room to the other. Wash towels were not provided. Only hand and bath towels.

Very clean rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel well located, being a bus and/or train ride away from Paris' main attractions e.g. Eiffel tower is about 30 minute train ride away
Plenty of restaurants nearby.
Suggestions for improvement
- real glasses & cups (instead of paper cups)
- lift only goes to 5th floor. Some people with heavy luggage will find it difficult to carry it up between 5th and 6th floor.

Location is convenient. Close to public transportation. Lots of shops and restaurants around this hotel which makes it a good option. The property itself is just about OK for the exhorbitant price. There is no service whatsoever. The front desk staff is not very helpful. Batteries in both my TV remote and AC remote were dead and they said they don't have batteries to replace them. The elevator is tiny and if you have large suitcases it's very hard to take it up the elevator. Overall, it served its purpose on my vacation to Paris but I won't come back or recommend this hotel to others.

Wonderful staff. Very neat and tidy rooms. Beds were always made and towels were replaced whenever we came back. Breakfast was lovely. The staff was really considerate and helpful. My parents accidentally cause the power to go out in our room but it was handled quickly and without problems. Only issue was the noise that the heater made and the washroom didn’t have a lock as it was just a sliding door. The area is alright though it’s really close to the metro and Gare du nord. It can appear to be a bit sketchy later during the day but we were safe. Overall, good stay.

The photos of the rooms are deceiving, we had no room to put our suitcase down. The side tables are way to small to be useful. There is no shelves in the bathroom or shower for your own stuff. The toilet is in a terrible position. For such a small room the air conditioning did nothing.

The staff were nice and the bedding was nice. Room was clean. But the negatives were many, tiny box of a rom. Tiny 10cm shelf next to bed that you can't put much on. Tiny area for clothes was overhanging the 'desk' area, so you use one or the other! It was so incredibly noisy at all times!!! Barely slept. The lift only holds 2 people - not even with luggage, literally 2 people only, tiny and claustrophobic. The heating didn't work in my room. I couldn't call downstairs because the phone didn't work either!! I told them upon check out, as who wants to go down in PJs to have to report a fault, and when I yold them in the morning, their reaction was \"oh really\". That was it. The area is dodgy with dodgy people. It's a good 15 min walk to Hare du Nord, not as listed in Expedia. And I walk fast! The noise was constant through the night, bring your earplugs.

Hotel itself is normal but district it very bad. It is quite far from the city center. Near there are no normal restaurants and pubs. But metro stations are very close.
I was staying at a single room and it was too small. However i asked to change my room and they did.
Breakfast is normal.
Reception staff was great! During my stay i met 5 receptionists and 4 of them were very kind and happy to help. Only one girl was a little bit rude :) Breakfast staff was also very positive.

To preface this review- the French / Paris rail system strike is on.
Public transport to and from this location is not accessible. Uber is super expensive to get to sites taking over 30min to cover 2-3km (small children wouldn’t walk that far).
On arrival the staff were absolutely lovely and very friendly. The reception staff could not be faulted. The facilities However are perhaps 1 star at best. So run down. Beds uncomfortable. Rooms not secure so blocked door with luggage whilst sleeping- or attempting to sleep. Noisy as everyone on the floor could be heard. There was no toilet paper. No soap or body wash in the shower. The dispenser was completely empty - as in didn’t even contain a soap bottle. Disappointed in our stay in Paris.

the property was NOTHING like on the pictures. the rooms looked horrible. the bathrooms were small and the showers would get clogged up to the point water would over flow into the rest on the tine bathroom. as soon as we got to the hotel the sent us to a different location not the address we reserved that shouldve been my first clue. I went back to try and cancel and they said I could but would not get my money back that would fix what was wrong. I explained the situation,. I reserved 4 rooms and they were all horrible. stunk up like someone had just smoked in them. the AC didn't really work. we would have to open up the windows to get air and than couldn't sleep because of all the noise or police and ambulance out side. we tried to unclog the shower and the amount of hair stuck in there was gross. would not recommend this hotel to my worse enemy.

Pictures did not reflect room at all. Was much smaller and nothing like the pictures. Lift could not fit more than two people and was worryingly unsafe. Room did not have iron and ironing board which was listed, safe was sealed shut, shower had no door or curtain so water went everywhere and toilet was so small with a bolted toilet brush next to it that there was no room to sit (and we are small people)
The area where the hotel itself is, is awful, we felt very unsafe and spent both nights in the room with food we brought with us as we didn’t feel comfortable being out at night.
The reception and check in is several doors down from where we were put up which wasn’t ideal.

I read bad reviews and was optimistic it would be different and people were complaining about nothing but honestly, I would never stay here again nor would I stay in the area.

This property is very nice. They were renovating some of it, but the work did not intrude on our sleep. The breakfast room is in a truly unique stone basement. Beautiful! The selection was fair. The staff was very nice. The room was a bit small, but that was expected for the price/area. The hotel felt safe and clean. There are many shops and restaurants, but most closed early. The hotel is convenient to metro and taxis, but the street was deserted and dark at 10PM and felt a bit sketchy. If you are used to big cities though, you'll be fine. Would stay here again.

Live the location. 1 block from the metro in an eclectic neighborhood. The Achilles heel here is the property. First the toilet is so close to the wall only a child can use it comfortably. AC leaked water for 4 nights. Initial repair was ineffective and then left. We used the waste basket to catch the water. Finally, sewage gas seeped from the bathroom. It was unbearable. Staff was very understanding and changed our room to one that served us perfectly. Wished we had the 2nd room for the duration.

Not happy with my stay. Some of the complaints are - hotel staff will come into the room with out knocking at the door. The hotel staff will come into the room and do the room cleaning service instead of my posting the do not disturb sign on the door. My friend’s wallet was stolen from the hotel room by the hotel staff. Lift never worked so had to carry our luggage through the staircase.

Avoid this area if you can. One of the worse hotel experiences I have ever had. Stayed here on a Saturday night to be close to train station next morning. Check in line was about 20 minutes and went down hill from there. Elevators were not working. Worse part was there was very loud music and partying all night from close by until about 4am. We did not sleep at all. Also the area hotel was in was noisy, dirty, and crowded w poor food choices-not the “real Paris.”

The area is very crowded. There’s two buildings and management initially put us in the incompleted building, claiming the elevator was broken. Asked to switched to the main hotel which is shown in the pictures. Had to cause a stir before my request was fulfilled. The breakfast is €10 and is not worth it. All they had was croissant and butter with juice or coffee. You can find better breakfast for less than that! All the other reviews are true, do not book! This is not a 3 star it’s a 1star.

Be careful with this hotel

Please be careful with this location. I stayed here for a day with family and we locked the doors before we went to bed but was very shocked to see the door was open in the morning. Luckily nothing was lost though. Not sure if really someone tried to open the door or if this is a lock issue. Also, the location itself is not so great since the next door is an hospital and you keep hearing those ambulance noises throughout that night. Though, the location is walkable to Gare Nu Nord, the

Not much good to say

There is really nothing good I can say about except maybe that their breakfast was good.
The hotel is close to the train station and a subway station but that also means it is not the best area. There are a lot of homeless people and drunk people at night. We didn’t feel very safe walking to the hotel at night. A really bad smell on the streets too. It is located in what should probably be called “Little India” as there are a lot of Indian grocery stores and restaurants.
The hotel is in a high traffic road with lot of noise and almost constant sirens from police and ambulances making it difficult to get a good nights rest.
The “family room” we had booked was a tiny room that had two extra beds moved into it with only a small gap to walk between.
The bathroom was so small that it was difficult to use for a tall person. It was only 31 inches wide so the toilet had less legroom than an economy airplane seat.
We were actually in the new addition which is two houses down from the original hotel. There was still construction going on and the smell of fresh paint. It was an apartment building that was converted to a hotel.
Fortunately there wasn’t too much noise.
The first day we had to eat breakfast in the hotel but then they opened the new breakfast area in the new building.

We were very pleasantly surprised at the size of the room(4 guests) sitting area was great for getting together with our other friends.Their room, a double was just as expected. Loved the little balconies and our bathroom was huge(for a city hotel!) Perfect location for both East and North trains(airport) and close to a few metro lines. Would stay again!

Hotel is about 5-10 min walk (according to the gps but actual with our luggages took almost 30 mins to Gare du Nord) to the domestic and international train stations. Has some restaurants/cafe/bakery nearby.

Since it’s near train stations, there’s always heavy traffic when taking a taxi/Uber to or from the hotel. Has the smallest elevator (will only fit 1 big luggage and 1 person) I’ve seen so as a family it takes time. Molds in the bathroom ceiling. Our door did not automatically lock all the time.

Great stay, if on a budget.

I had requested a dbl bed and 2 twin beds, but our room had a sofa bed for the dbl bed. I had intentionally not chosen a sofa bed. When I brought it up to the front desk they quickly resolved the situation. The bathrooms were nice but little water pressure and the beds/pillows were cozy. All the doors to each hotel room, didn't close right so everyone was having to REPEATEDLY slam their door to get it to shut right, at all hours. Eventhough the hotel is located close to the train stations, you have to travel quite far for all sight seeing. It was much further than we realized to everything we wanted to see and do. BUT, the price was very reasonable and the staff were very helpful!

Hotel is OK, but area around is not, it is pretty close from train north terminal but is far from the tourism places. You can move easy with the metro, but walking from subway to the hotels is an experience, feels like a insecure area

Bad neighborhood

Hotel is in decent shape and clean. Pull out bed not comfortable and bathroom small but it was modern and clean. The staff was awesome , friendly and helpful. The one thing that really hurts this hotel is location. The streets were dirty and smelly during the day, but after dark definitely not a place for those with family’s. Hundreds of people trying to sell you cigarettes? or other things , homeless begging and one thing I noticed most was very few French people? If you have to stay in this neighborhood this is a good hotel. If you are visiting spend a bit more and stay near the tourists areas.
