Shocked, just shocked is all I have to say

Where do I start. First of all the distance from gare du nord is around 2 miles off. Then when you eventually make you way there which can I add was a little unsettling even 434-year-old male it put me on edge. It’s not in the greatest part of town once I finally got into the room the air-conditioning was pathetic almost as if it wasn’t on. My light switch turned off the complete lighting circuit so something was wrong there.. and to top this all off the restaurant and Bar as advertised didn’t mention that then I open between the 4th of August and the 2nd of September so I went without food or drink overall not happy so I’ve checked out at 7 pm

Hotel was more like 3 star. Air conditioning barely functioning. Location very poor. We only stayed one night checked out on Sunday morning 13th July. We booked into The Crowne Plaza Paris Republique for the last 6 days.
We were informed we could not receive any refund.

Great hotel near the train station

This is a great hotel in a not-so-great neighborhood. The location and convenience are fantastic for seeing Paris and moving around in the city. Just need to be a little cautious in the evening and perhaps not walk alone after dark (which is good advice for almost anywhere you go). We would stay here again.

I don't recommend this hotel.
The hotel rooms are large but the neighborhood is extremely dangerous. It is the worst street in whole Paris. Too much gangs and drugs activities all day and night. Dont stay here. I will not recommend it at all. Very bad area

The proximity to Eurostar was nice (15 min walk) but the walk to get there felt very unsafe.

I stayed in the Junior suite which had a big tub, that was lovely. There’s no separate shower but they have a handheld shower attachment on the tub. It’s slippery getting in/out but loved the tub regardless.

At the hotel, the door lock did not feel secure (deadbolt was automatic but anyone with the key could come in). I put the end table between the front door and bathroom door to prevent anyone from opening in my sleep. Also, there was no “do not disturb” sign for the door so the staff knocked every two hours the first day when I was asleep. I asked for them to not come the subsequent days but they still knocked at least once per day.

The hotel is right next to a school with young kids. Do not stay here if you need to sleep later than 8am.

The property felt secure, the staff were average/nice, there’s a restaurant on site but no one was eating there or working at the times I came and went. The best was super comfortable. There were no views.

The price and high review rating is what made me book this property. Whilst the biggest issue was feeling safe in the neighbor as a solo female traveler, I would stay here again if I had a tight budget.

I was working a night shift so chose the hotel due to its close location to the train station to get back to London. It's not a terrible hotel. But they charge you more than the night rate for the room to 'cover the mini bar' which has 6 items in it that would not calculate to the cost the charge your card (which I am yet to see a refund) and they have some serious plumbing issues. I came to the hotel at 3am and the overflow / cistern in a bathroom in an adjoining room was going off every 3 minutes. So yay, I never slept! I left early as little to no point trying to get any sleep. Overall for 4hrs an utter waste of time & money.

Hidden gem in Paris.

Great experience, quite a quirky place, but for Paris it was a great change - the bar area is brilliant also as is the courtyard - the room is massice if not a little odd in terms of arrangement.

The check in was easy online with several email prompts making that process super quick and simple, check out the same.

I will never comeback to this place.

I travel frequently for business, and while I am not a difficult person, I do expect a minimum level of knowledge from members of staff, good customer service, and problem-solving skills that make you, as a customer, feel valued.

The staff member processing my check-in was not properly trained for that position. I travelled from the UK to attend SIAL Paris and arrived at the hotel around 7pm, only to discover that I wasn’t even in their system. After about five minutes of looking at the computer screen, the staff member finally realised that my booking was, in fact, on the system. He then gave me my room number (204) and an electronic key.

When I went to my room, I was unable to open the door. After trying three times to ensure I was using the key correctly, I returned to reception to explain the situation. I had to wait 10 minutes as he was serving a new customer, and no one else was available to assist. After the wait, he gave me a new key, scanned it again, and I returned to my room, only to find the door still wouldn’t open.

I went back to reception and waited another 15 minutes, as he was again assisting another customer. When he finally attended to me, he asked if I was sure I was using the key correctly, making me feel as though I was at fault. I invited him to come and show me how to open the door. We went upstairs together, and the door still wouldn’t open.

After 30 minutes, he finally changed my room but did so without offering any apology.

Intro to Paris!

The receptionists upon my arrival and departure were kind and friendly. I was not aware of the train railways nearby until I noticed every morning I was slightly awaken by the trains departing - something to note, otherwise it was a peaceful stay for my first time in Paris!

It is very strange and inconvenient that there was no shower curtain or wall even though the tub was right next to bed. The shower water splashing out of the bathtub made the floor and sink all wet and inconvenient to use. You should rethink the room design.

Fab contemporary hotel with lovely staff

Hotel was fab highly recommended a good base to explore Paris. Staff were wonderful / friendly and helpful. Rooms felt modern and were very clean. Restaurant serves good food and has a nice atmosphere a very nice place to spend a relaxed evening away from the busy Bistros. Just a shame the ICE bar is now closed as would have been a good experience.

I don’t know how this hotel has an 8 rating!! It’s not in a good area of Paris, but accessible to Gare de Nord.
The rooms are basic, lamp not working, phone broken, no mugs for coffee but the bed was comfy.
Music through dinner was so loud I couldn’t hear myself think and food is only available after 7pm. The breakfast is incredibly limited. However the food in the restaurant was lovely. All in all, a 5/10 hotel at best

We stayed here after an evening train from Amsterdam and were very impressed. It is conveniently located near Gare du Nord.
It is a bit daunting walking down the streets at night from Gare due Nord but once you get there the hotel is surprisingly nice.

They tried to kick me out before before the day I had to leave even though I paid for it (their mistake), then 10 minutes later someone walks into my room without knocking and again someone walks into my room 15 minutes after that without knocking. They didn’t have very much choice for breakfast but then charged an outrageous amount for it(2of us). We had a croissant and a yogurt ($20euro charged each). The shower stall in my room was all black and in a corner with no lighting…how can you see in there. I’m sorry for the low review but this time I wasn’t satisfied at all!

Having had a flight cancellation we were forced to stay a night last minute in Paris. Our flight was delayed significantly and the hotel refused to allow a refundable cancellation after the Expedia agent very kindly called up on my behalf to request.

The hotel wasn't in the area we wanted to be in given the significant delay so we eventually got to the hotel at about 1AM. Check-in took longer than it should have and we were eventually pointed up to our room which wasn't easy to find. The hotel courtyard was blasting music along with people singing and shouting which was extremely loud in our room. I first called reception at 1:15AM asking if they could turn off or turn down the music and they assured me they would. I called back several times and received the same response but nothing was done about it. It wasn't until about 2:30AM that the music died down so we could get to sleep. I told the hotel as we were checking in that we had an early flight the next morning to catch, so to have our limited opportunity to sleep impacted after paying for an expensive hotel was extremely frustrating.

The room itself was clean but is decorated weirdly with plastic chairs and fluffy curtains. No idea why this hotel is reviewed as well as it is and I would certainly not recommend it to anyone.

I had a reservation at this hotel for April. As the Coronavirus situation was escalating they allowed me change my booking on a non changeable non cancellation reservation. At no extra charge.

They upgraded me to the most massive and beautiful room I’ve ever stayed. It certainly took the sting out of an exploded one month ski vacation.

The bar and restaurant were of course closed. I’m coming back to enjoy those spaces and services next time.

The place would please even the most discerning of guests. The outdoor patio and the bar look amazing. The patio is chill and comfortable. Somebody has a green thumb as the plants and space are green and amazing.

I would have loved to have a drink in this space after a busy day in Paris.

They have two floors of parking included down bellow. Parking in Paris can easily be 50 to 80 bucks a day. So if you’re coming with a car this is the place to stay.

It’s a short drive to the peripherique which is a ring road that encircles Paris, taking quickly to any side of Paris and 20 minutes Charles du Gaulle airport.

They brought me a great breakfast to my room that was a great way to start the day. And the room which is larger than most Parisian apartments. It was amazing.

Parisian hotels rooms are small and snug. This place is spacious and a great place to retreat from a city day.

I’ll always be gracious at how friendly and professional the staff were.

Nice querky hotel - just in wrong location

Inside the hotel rooms were very spacious and they offered a mixture of complimentary snacks and drinks in the room, which was appreciated.
I wasn’t so keen on the area - would definitely not have walked around. We got Uber’s everywhere.
On our middle night ( tot if 3 nights) we actually stayed at another hotel in the centre as it was cheaper than u era!

Very friendly and helpful staff, big, big rooms, comfortable beds, delicious restaurant, fantastic breakfast buffet-really, best I have ever had at any hotel. Close to metro as well. Really nice perks at the hotel, including free mini bar(no alcohol in there, but snacks and drinks), free wifi phone to use- this saved us many headaches as we did not have a local phone to use for maps, 20% off in the restaurant. There were a few things that did not work well; when you arrive, there is a big glass cube in the courtyard where you find the reception desk. Every person goes there and finds nobody at the desk. The people are in an office underneath this area and when you ring the bell, they come up. All that is required is a sign to say please ring the bell for service, but there is none, so each person is confused on arrival. Our room had a separate room with a toilet that had an automatic light. Seems great except that it shut off every 7 seconds! The staff tried to fix it. The AC in our room did not work well and my mother’s room was always quite cold. We had a gigantic shower, but there was no place to put any soap or shampoo. Someone had added a cheap shower caddy that everything fell out of. My mother’s room had a gigantic bathtub that was unfillable because of its size and there was a shower head to use, but no curtain. After a day of walking all over Paris, it would have been very nice to have a shower. Last, there is no information sheet about the room. Area of townis rough

HOTEL IS VERY GOOD, WE WERE GIVEN A NICE ROOM AND QUITE SPACIOUS. HOTEL HAD ONLY ONE PERSON AT THE RECEPTION WHO ALSO HAD TO BRING THE BAGS UP. IT WASN'T A PROBLEM THOUGH.
HOWEVER, THE AREA WHERE IT IS LOCATED IS SO BAD. PROBABLY DANGEROUS AS WELL[ WE DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE A CHANCE AND MOVE AROUND AT NIGHT]. EVEN DURING THE DAY TIME, IT IS NOT RECOMMENDABLE.

Eclectic hotel near metro

This is a very unique and eclectic small hotel with about 40 rooms. We stayed in one of the suites on the fourth floor, which had a nice terrace and plenty of indoor and outdoor space. It was a very clean room and very functional. Overall, I give the hotel a four out of five as some of the areas of the hotel were a bit rundown, the bar was out of some drinks or did not have them, and we could not figure out the air conditioning in the room even though it worked on the first day. (we did not ask however as the weather was great and wonderful to leave the terrace open.) The staff was friendly, the outside space was really great, it had really comfortable king size bed, and a clean room made for a nice visit. The location is something you need to pay attention to: this hotel is in an alley off of a busy street in a very diverse neighborhood, lots of ethnic food and grocery stores, and a lot of people just hanging out on the streets all of the time. I would not stay in this neighborhood alone but it was fine as a couple. We ate at several places right in the neighborhood including an Indian restaurant (exceptional Biryani rice), Pizza 5 place and Bistrot 38, all were really great. The metro was very close and we walked to it every day and every evening without issues. Overall, a great visit!

Best Hotel Ever!

Was wondering if I'd made the right choice while walking the two blocks from the train station. Then I walked into the courtyard and was blown away at how fantastic it was! That feeling never left for the whole visit. So clean, modern, spacious and nice. Loved the complimentary cell phone to take with you around town and even a stack of post it notes and a pen next to the Paris map to take notes and plan my visit. Kube was so nice that I have already recommended it to three other people and will continue to if anyone is even thinking of visiting Paris and will definitely return!

A large room by Paris standards, but bath tub with only handheld shower meant no way to take a shower standing up. The separate toilet closet reeked of smoke, but otherwise the room was clean. The location was convenient to Gare du Nord, but the area was sketchy so plan to Uber or take the Metro for dinner. The hotel itself has an active bar scene which meant getting to sleep early for our early flight was impossible due to the noise. On the plus side wifi was speedy and several English language channels to choose from.

Classy hotel for a great price

I needed a last minute booking for my daughter who was returning from France back to US and missed her flight. This hotel was available and for a great price. She said it was absolutely fabulous, was upgraded to a King size bed at no charge and the amenities were all wonderful. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely hotel. It's a 15 minute walk from Gare du Nord station, 5 minutes from La Chapelle station.
The room was very clean as well as the bedding.. Great bathroom. The restaurant\bar has a great atmosphere and the food is amazing. Great service.
They have \"Handy\" a phone that you can buy tickets for attractions and events. Amazing.

Quirky hotel, wonderful staff

We stayed in a suite on the 4th floor. Staff were very helpful, starting with Abraham at Reception who showed us the room and explained things. Nice touch to have complimentary snacks and cellphone available for our use. Breakfast was more than adequate but not elaborate, with bread, pastry, cheese, cold cuts and fruit, etc. We also appreciated the made to order eggs and cappuccinos. Here again, staff were very friendly and engaging. Everyone was very helpful in answering our many questions and often went above and beyond, eg. Abraham photocopied our Drivers License pictures for our metro passes (and ensured we got them back when we forgot them at the desk.)
The only negatives were: the safe was too small for a regular sized laptop, but fine for passports, wallets, etc. Although the room curtains baffled most of the sounds, sirens, trains, and bar patrons in the courtyard below could be heard. Full days of activities and a comfortable bed resulted in adequate sleep however. As in most European hotels, the A/C was not turned on yet so we found the room warm some nights.
Other reviews mentioned the neighbourhood as unsafe. We did not encounter anything to warrant that opinion. There were street vendors and groups of men hanging around on the short walk to the Metro but none were aggressive or caused us any concern.
The hotel is eclectically decorated, much different from anything we’ve ever stayed in, but we fully enjoyed our stay and would readily return.

A true experience of Parisian life.

Kube hotel is located in an ethniclly diverse section of Paris, away from the tourist traps. It offers a nice slice of true Parisian life. Lots of African, Middleastern, Indian and other ethic restaurants and cafes. Despite the area's rough edges, I always felt safe, and people were very friendly. The hotel is 40s-50s genre decor, and they play that era music at the bar and restaurant. Nice to hear Edith Piaf and Frank Sinatra while sipping a nice cognac. In the evening the courtyard, which is heated by gas heaters, comes alive with local millenials, as a DJ plays popular music. Fondue and hot cider is served. It was a delight to listen to French being spoken among young people, and wondering how many propositions wer taking place. I highly recommend this hotel for those wanting to eschew the tourist traps, and experience a real slice Parisian life. Metro stations are close by and one can use them to get to any of the tourist sights around the city. By the way, riding the metro is also quite fascinating.

Special hotel right by the Gare du Nord

10 minute walk from the Gare du Nord, this really unique hotel is a perfect base for a city break. Extremely helpful and welcoming staff, and a really quirky decor made this a great experience. Room kitted out with an exceptionally comfy bed, free smart phone for the duration, coffee machine and fun interior design.

Comfortable. Fun. Interesting. Convenient.

Our 4th time to Paris. The room was very spacious & the price was unbeatable for a ✯✯✯✯ hotel. Ibrahim, Justine & the staff were very responsive & professional. English speaking? This is your place! Two metro stops very close, as are the bus & Gare du Nord. It is definitely NOT La Marais, St Germain or the other chichi arrondissements, but it is close to Montmartre & Moulin Rouge. May not be the right place for a first time visitor to Paris, but offers an interesting perspective of the Paris home of many Algerian & African emigres, many new; many in Paris for a much longer time.

Quirky Hotel in Perfect Location

Stayed at the Kube hotel for my 21st birthday celebrations in Paris with my partner, this was close to Gare du Nord which we were able to walk to and from arriving to and departing from the hotel. It was also close to the metro station La Chappelle, which is a must when travelling around Paris, amazing system! Were checked in by Justine who was very friendly and could not do enough for us. We did query our room on arrival, lovely none the less but didn't look like the one we booked as should have been the top suite. We told Justine who apologised and could see the room had been mistakenly changed, but sorted it out within 5 minutes, made us a new room key, took us there and helped us with our baggage. If you want to stay here I do recommend the Nordik suite, it is absolutely breath-taking, you can read more info about it on the website. We had dinner the first night at the hotel and was served by the lovely Chloe. Food was divine and all staff in the bar area were very pleasant. We were also offered a visit to their famous ice bar, which was inexpensive for the experience and a must do if at the hotel! Overall it was an amazing birthday thanks to the hotel and the staff, they have really done Paris pround. If we were to return to Paris in the future, We would definitely stay here again 100%.

We booked a junior suite for 3 nights and the room was enormous. The location of the bath tub was a bit unusual, but added character to the room. Wonderful staff, very helpful and pleasant. Free movies in the room, and also a free smartphone with unlimited data to help navigate the streets and the transit system. Great hotel and location!

Hotel itself was good with helpful staff. Food in hotel was excellent. Bar was very under stocked and room cleaning not as on expected. The biggest dissapointment was the location situated in very poor area. ALL STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.

Hipster cool oasis, good for one night

Sleek looking hotel.At night, I noticed that there were mostly groups of men and no women on the streets at night. There is a grocery store close by (downstairs in the Monoprix).Close the Gare du Nord but not user friendly.
There is a red light on the panel to unlock the door. I thought that I had to scan something to open the door but the key card is plain white. The scanner was a QR reader for e-mailed keys.The display should say \"place card here to open door\"
No door on the shower. Not a big deal,it's tucked away so not totally open, but also no door means you are freezing cold the minute you turn off the water
Lights are either on or off. My friend was still sleeping but I wanted to take a shower. I had to turn on all the lights, then find the lights that I could turn off, then dim the lights that were left
The whole \"dimming\" was confusing. Nothing is really labelled. I had to ask the front desk guy how to make the lights brighter because the shower lights were so dim
There was a coffee maker but I couldn't find the coffee. There were no prices on the food or the drinks in the fridge. If they were free, there should be a sign. If they are not free, there should be a sign with costs.
I liked that the toilet was separate from the shower.
A lot of real estate is given to shower and the toilet area but not a big deal.
Good hotel for a one night stay (picked this place because close to station to go to airport)
