The room was advertised as having a mini fridge so my partner brought her food that requires refrigeration however upon arrival at the room the fridge felt warm so we raised the issue with the hotel who advised it wasn’t a fridge but more of an air circulating cabinet….. not sure what one of those are.

The room was a good size, there was a stain on the duvet but apart from that the room was clean and comfortable. During the night there was a strong smell of someone smoking weed which came through the AC which wasn’t pleasant or expected. We didn’t eat at the hotel so cannot comment on this.

The chap on the bar was very cold though when I asked him to explain what the Happy Hour deal was and he shrugged and wasn’t very friendly at all. He didn’t smile and we felt uncomfortable as if we were putting him out by ordering drinks. He called over a man in a suit who was more friendly and who explained the £8 cocktail offer (we thought it might be only certain ones or two of the same) The cocktails weren’t that tasty unfortunately, overpowering lemon taste (Mai Tai)… the Pornstar Martini was nice though. The breakfast waiter was great and very efficient and the breakfast was fabulous and all other staff were pleasant. The bedroom was so hot and although the bedding was great quality it was too thick in the hot room so we didn’t sleep too well. The aircon only seemed to go down to 19 and rattled when you put the fan on, so we left it off (and the windows didn’t open at all). The smellies in the bathroom were divine, the shower was awesome and the bed was super comfy. Location is also brilliant… we could see the big wheel from our room (503). We had a lovely stay and would come back…. just a couple of things which aren’t deal breakers but were worth mentioning. Thank you

Loved the room and the design and location however they didnt clean the room on a 2 night stay desptie confirming on check in and a reminder from me when I dropped a bag back at 3PM (and saw room not made). Got home after a funciton to an unclean room, no clean towels or coffee / Tea and no one answering the phone to have sent up. Also sign by the side of bed says comp water in the fridge however no water at any time. Housekeeping has reallly let this hotel down. This was a trial to for me to make ti a corporate hotel for my team in Manchester following closing of Hilton but we wont be back sadly.

We were at front of hotel facing St Peter’s square and the noise from trams going past was annoying. This up until 1am and started back up promptly at 6am.
Walls paper thin as could hear people above running taps and taking a shower. Didn’t sleep great due to all noise- hotel reallly need to warn people about rooms at front of building

Staff were very good at this hotel. Unfortunately, there were issues with our first room. We were quickly given another much better room by the very friendly and efficient Scottish girl on desk. This room was much better, but as great as the staff were, I feel housekeeping standards could be better here, as the skirting boards were all very dusty and cushions in the room were dirty. Overall, though, the room was fine and the bed was comfy.

This was a great central location to explore Manchester. We could safely walk the area, night or day, and it was no problem getting a cab to head out farther. The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering suggestions for places to eat, shop, etc.. My room was so quiet. Blackout curtains made sleeping in easy. Beds were comfortable, and the towels were so luxurious! I highly recommend Malmaison Manchester Deansgate and would stay there again.

The only downside was the Roof top bar was booked for a private function. We were really looking forward to coming back after our show to have a drink to end our evening.

We had a look inside the bar the next morning and it did look lovely.
It was a shame we couldn't use during our stay.

Even though it’s in quite a dirty area, I love this hotel for its comfortable room interesting design and excellent rooftop restaurant. The free cocktail if you pre-order breakfast was really appreciated.. most staff were friendly. I just noted that when I initially told them I was here early I felt the female member of staff was quite dismissive and just bluntly told me there are no rooms available. She did take my suitcase but didn’t tell me that I could wait in the lounge or recommend anywhere. I make a point of this 'cause I then saw her be far more friendly with other people so I felt that service was inconsistent.

Nice hotel in good location and the rooms are nice however the noise in the hotel rooms was terrible! We were in a club room and it was really noisy with music, we couldn’t sleep and phoned reception to ask if we could move to a quieter room. They did so which was good service, but only after asking to come into our room to investigate the noise first. We moved to a room which had to be downgraded and it was still really noisy with lots of road noise, trams and people. They then still tried to charge us the upgraded room price on check out.

Not the best stay

We had 3 rooms between the 4 of us and not one person had a good nights sleep. I had constant buzzing just outside my room which meant it was difficult to sleep. The others had various noise and woken up by a knock on the door at 5.10am by another person staying at the hotel. This may be a small thing but went to use the pad of paper and no pen, which wouldn't have been an issue if not for no sleep. The most disappoint part was none of the staff were interested in the issues, the same response given to all 3 of us was 'we will look into that'. I seem like a Karen but it really was terrible for all of us. Breakfast was amazing though, really tasty and the rooms have great decor and themes.
