We found the room clean and comfortable although the heating/cooling unit in the room slightly noisy. An additional electric portable radiator was available in the room which maybe was there due to this issue.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Using the railway station parking was only 7€ a day and only across the road so a better price than the on site price.
The bar a great selection of wines as per the theme but also local beers and the normal selection of spirits.

Nice hotel near the station, buzzing restaurant and bar and lots of wine. Breakfast was comprehensive and plentiful, staff lovely, parking in station across the road was inexpensive, town has multiple dining and drinking options and is only a short walk away.

Liked the location. Dislikes included some lights not working in the room, person checking me out was clueless, absolutely no Wi-Fi signal in the room but was available in the hallway, different pieces of wall trim both in the hallway and room were hanging loose and shower barely worked. One of the worse hotels I have ever stayed at.

Close to train station

The staff was great. The hotel was clean. The only downside, a small bathroom and no facecloth. But that seems to be a Dutch hotel thing. Stayed in 3 during my 2 week vacation.

Opposite Station and only 10 mins. from shops.

We only stayed 3 nights but plan on returning next year for longer as the area and hotel are lovely. The hotel is clean and right opposite station. The breakfast was very nice. The one mark against it is that there is a lift, but we were told you need to get the key to use it? When my husband asked for the key on reception on our arrival, he was told the man helping us with our cases had it. A member of staff carried my case up on arrival and did not use the lift. We could not be bothered to get the mysterious key when we left, so we carried our cases down. We were going to a concert in Maastricht, along with many other people from the hotel, not travelling with us. I asked reception about return trains to Maastricht from Valkenburg Station opposite hotel and time of last train but the gentleman on reception was not able to provide any information other than where to get train tickets..............from an automatic machine on the platform. It would have helpful if the hotel printed a flyer explaining train times, especially when so man people were travelling to Maastricht for the concert from the hotel. I am sure we were not the only people to need that information. I do not want to give the impression that staff were not friendly, because they were but they did not seem to understand we needed information.

I enjoyed the proximity to the train station. The hotel is located right next to Valkenburg train station and just 10 minutes by train from Maastricht train station. The double room was spacious. The walls are painted dark brown. They seem intimidating. The refrigerator didn't work. In the room I found three worried beetles. The price during the Vrijthof concerts in Maastricht is overpriced. Nevertheless, the hotel is a good option.

Fijn verblijf

Fijn hotel! Wij verbleven in de superior villa met sauna. Deze is echter niet in het hotel zelf maar in een gebouw er naast van het hotel. Dus voor ontbijt moet je buitenom lopen om bij het ontbijt te komen. Verder wel alles netjes en hygiënisch. Tegenover het station. Wij hebben geparkeerd bij het p+r van het station want dat zou goedkoper zijn dan bij het hotel. Alles was op loopafstand, wat heel fijn was.

Ontzettend fijn verblijft gehad in het wellness appartement. Van alle gemakken voorzien. Groot nadeel was wel dat de kamer naast de ingang van het hotel zit en elke keer de deur hard dicht viel in het slot. Ik ben er echt paar keer wakker van geworden. Sowieso is dat al vervelend, maar zeker in een wellness kamer wil je rust hebben.

Goed hotelletje

Hotelletje dichtbij het centrum van Valkenburg met betalende parkeergelegenheid (buitenparking was 5 euro, binnenparking is mogelijk, maar duurder) (ook P+R parking heel dichtbij). We gingen naar Thermae 2000 en zakten 's avonds af naar dit hotel. Kamer was goed en proper. Pluspunt was een gezellig balkon aan de kamer. Het ontbijt was heel lekker. Mogelijks verblijven we hier een volgende keer weer.

Fijn hotel dichtbij centrum

Slechts 1 nacht aldaar verbleven. Ontvangst was erg vriendelijk. Kamer zag er netjes uit met zelfs nog een fijn balconnetje erbij. Parkeren was prettig direct op een binnenplaats van het hotel zelf. Ontbijt was zeer goed.

Prima hotel! Wel wat kleine dingen die niet zo gastvrij waren. De verwarmingen op de kamer waren stoffig... t-shirt laten drogen en die was meteen vies en wit van de stof. Verder misten er op de kamer de aansluiting van de tv en waren er hier en daar kleine dingen kapot aan de kamer.
Het is in de corona tijd tijdens mijn verblijf en dan verwacht je dat ze tijd genoeg hebben om alles wat beter te regelen. We hebben extra betaald voor een luxere kamer aan de zijkant van het hotel maar hadden de pech dat we in de ochtend met een dienblad over straat moesten lopen met het ontbijt.... Mijn mening zou zijn om het ontbijt in papieren tassen aan te bieden en dichte flesjes drinken in plaats van glazen en een dienblad met een bord. Wij snappen dat het corona tijd is en dat het ook voor een hotel aanpassen is, maar hier had iets beter over nagedacht kunnen worden....

Wellness suite valt een beetje tegen

Wij verbleven de wellness suite. Die zit in een naast gelegen pand. Je ziet dat het al een heel oud pand is en een tijd geleden gerenoveerd. Het mag beter worden schoongemaakt en onderhouden. De kamer is op het eerste gezicht heel mooi. Maar de kamer was niet heel schoon bij aankomst. Zwarte stofwolken op de vloerbedekking, veel kalkaanslag in de badkamer, schimmelaanslag bij de scharnier van de douchedeur, witte muren met zwarte vlekken en strepen. En zelfs een koffievlek op het kastje bij de tv. De airco was vies. Maar gelukkig werkte hij wel. De sauna was een beetje klein. Ter grootte van een 2 persoons kledingkast. Doordat hij werkt met lampen heb je plaatselijke warmte. Dat vonden wij niet fijn.
De ontvangst door de mevrouw bij de receptie was een beetje nors en bij vertrek was ze weer nors. We kregen bij inchecken een keycard: een vies pasje vol met plakband en zwarte vegen. Hè bah! Dat is toch geen goede binnenkomer.
Het ontbijt was prima. De bedden lagen goed. Ik vind een zacht matras fijn. Hij was niet doorgelegen of zo. De airco was ook heel fijn dat hij er was.
We hebben een fijn verblijf in Valkenburg gehad. Maar ik zou dit hotel niet weer opnieuw boeken.

Er waren wat kleine technische mankementen o.a. de bedlampen deden het niet.
De TV op de kamer was door een gebrek aan een afstandbediening de gehele periode niet bespeelbaar.De TV in de gemeenschappelijke ruimte was wel te gebruiken.
