The view from the window was a broken road!
Staff was ok, as expected. We did not had breakfast tere so can't comment on that. The problem was that this was advertised as a SPA hotel, but it did not had a SPA!. You expect a relaxing environment, and I paid also extra for the deluxe room with a nice view as described in the website. But it wasn't really a \"deluxe room but just a standard room where you could not even control the temperature of the room. I complained but nothing could be done. The room felt cold for the whole duration of our stay. I am very disappointed as it was supposed to be a romantic/relaxed weekend with my wife and at 7am in the morning a huge excavator started digging just under our window on Saturday morning!! It spoilt our intention to have a laydown after a long journey to drive there. Simply unacceptable for an advertised SPA hotel!

Really nice and large room, well kept and clean, comfortable - nicely decorated. The open bathroom situation was interesting, and a challenge not to get the floor and curtains wet. Spending time having a standup shower was therefore not possible. And it was a little challenging if you’re sharing a room with a friend.

Delightful comfortable stay in Maastricht
Almost everything was exceptional. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The service was friendly and efficient. We only had two minor issues - our promised “to go” breakfasts were not ready as requested but the staff quickly remedied. Secondly, they have sweets available for purchase but when we looked at them, they were completely covered in bugs.
These two issues did not take away from the overall very good experience with this hotel.

This hotel was great! Super friendly staff and the living room was a great place to simply rest and enjoy free coffee. The walls of the rooms are a bit thin, but about the same as many other hotels I’ve stayed at in Europe. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel!

This was a nice hotel. Our heater wasn’t working and they responded fairly quickly to try to repair it. The room could have been cleaner and better put together for the price. We appreciated the free coffee/tea/soup in the common area. We found breakfast very overpriced at EUR 20 pp and skipped it (and enjoyed local cafes in the area for much much less each morning).

The hotel does NOT have a gym, despite advertised. There’s drawings/graffiti on the elevator that appears won’t be taken care of, the pillow and bed are incredibly uncomfortable. It feels more like a hostel with the layout and offering. I would not go back.

The hotel is a fantastic base for exploring Maastricht. We enjoyed the relaxed vibe, friendly staff. The rooms are super comfortable and clean. This was probably one of the cosiest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The lounge area with the electric fire place and the box of games was so comfortable. There is also free coffee and tea throughout the day and there is a pot of soup on arrival. It’s super well located just next to the train station.

I was annoyed that they charged me twice even after I reminded that I had payed the tax. Eventually when I checked my back account ( after I left Maastricht) I called back to tell them that they had charged me twice and the agreed and apologized but it was more trouble to get a refund than it was worth it. Anyways, I wouldn't stay there again.

This is a very pleasant hotel. Handily placed for the railway station and a 10-15 minute easy stroll into the city centre. The young staff are very welcoming and efficient, after all, how many other hotels offer you free soup?
We had a deluxe room overlooking the courtyard (which is mostly car park, but quiet), which was clean and comfortable, the bathroom likewise. We enjoyed our stay because there was simply nothing to dislike about this hotel. I would happily return for another stay.

If you like boutique hotels, it’s hard to imagine you’d be disappointed staying here. Great design detail, comfortable rooms, super breakfast and funky details like the ability to rent a goldfish to keep you company in your room should you so wish! We chose this hotel because it was an easy walk from the train station and the price was reasonable. While we were close to the train, we were a few blocks from the old downtown. Wasn't a problem for us, however.
The room was spare, but sufficient and clean. The bed was ok - rather firm, and left my husband with a sore back. They provide a hairdryer, but only liquid soap and a bodywash/shampoo combo in fixed dispensers. The shower leaked water all over the floor, which was annoying.
Our room was on the 2nd floor (considered 3rd floor in NL) facing the street, which was a bit of a problem. The weather was lovely so we had the windows open, but the bus depot was right around the corner, so we had the sound of buses driving by as well as noise from the hotel's delivery and laundry dock right across the street early in the morning. I recommend asking for a room facing the courtyard if you want your window open.

Location is outstanding, close to city centre and right next to the station. I chose the extra large and glad I did. The room was very spacious and had a separate shower. Those who don't like an open bathroom should make sure they don't have a room with a bath in the room. Breakfast was excellent, the lounge is an excellent sitting area and boasts of a home like atmosphere. Wifi excellent and a small gym is also there.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pointed us to park at the park and ride rather then garage, a savings of 10 euro per night. We had champagne upon checkin and soup in the evening. The breakfast was not included but was a good value. The room could have been a little cleaner and the bed a little more comfortable but it was not bad.

Close to the train station. Staff is nice and professional. We stay in the Double Room Extra Large, and love the ample room and design. But, there was a nail sticking out of the floor, and it's really difficult to take a shower without wetting the floor.

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for three nights in early July in order to attend the Andre Rieu concert.
The hotel staff were very welcoming when we checked in,offering either a drink or nice soup.
The room was large and the bed one of the most comfortable that we have experienced in our many travels.
The breakfast was also adequate.
The hotel was in a quiet street close to the train station which was useful as we visited the nearby town of Volkenburg.
It only took about ten minutes to walk across the bridge to the main town.
Overall,a highly recommended hotel.

\"Different\" hotel close to station but Expedia ...
Comfortable hotel with double-bed room sold as single and spacious bathroom with oversize tub and shower, even selectable music in bathroom. But no phone in room (wake-up call - not tried - is staff member thumping on door). Guests greeted with hot soup and bowls of fruit in combined Reception and Breakfast Room. No restaurant and none nearby (snacks at station). Excellent value but hotel charged extra for local taxes, which I paid. Expedia confirmation said \"Taxes included\" and hotel refunded the €10 when I pointed this out and produced email printout. Hotel said that Expedia had made a mistake and would be reprimanded. Breakfast rather inadequate protein-wise if you can't eat cheese or ham (NO fish alternative like mackerel or smoked salmon) and the only egg alternative on show is cold hardboiled eggs. Expensive if you regard it as continental breakfast as there's only one price for the buffet.

I was really impressed with the staff everyone was really nice and helpful. Trying their best to say good morning and just hi, super nice. There is soup on the house. Peanuts also at night. I can't complain.

A really budget hotel
A 3 night stay with only time to shower and sleep. Location was a bit noisy, literally no bathroom door and no wardrobe - just 4 hangers were supplied. The worst of them all was that the shower was right next a the plastic glazed window. The glazing was a bit too precise not to be seen from outside!

Quirky hotel with great staff
Hotel is a little quirky, with things like complimentary vodka nightcaps and a fish that can be rented if you're lonely. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. Breakfast is above average, too, so that's another plus about this place.
