Perfect location if you have to be by the Randwyck area in Maastricht. Close to train and bus stations, some university schools, the MECC and the hospital are literally next door.

very convenient for MECC , easy walk to Maastricht and bus right outside the door if you want. also train about 200m that is on mainline. Hotel good quality and good rooms , nice spa and breakfast. staff very friendly and seems to be fluent in Eng French, Dutch, German, Flemish etc. recommend for MECC events

Generally a comfortable stay but the WiFi is terrible and keeps dropping out. I was charged twice for breakfast on one day which I wasn’t aware of until I had left the hotel and got my email receipt. Overall it met requirements but it doesn’t stand out as exceptional

This hotel, situated slightly outside the city center, was our preferred choice due to limited availability in the downtown area. The NH brand consistently delivers above-average accommodations, and we had high expectations for this establishment. While it may have been a four-star hotel a few years ago, it has since become outdated and requires some refurbishment.
The room was spacious and featured comfortable beds and high-quality linens. However, the bathroom sink and shower exhibited poor drainage, which was an unpleasant experience. The basic amenities were adequate, but the furnishings and closet were noticeably worn out. Fine for one night, just not a 4 star experience.

Check in and check out was quick. The car park was easily accessible and easy to park. The hotel is some 3 to 4 km from the centre and there is an excellent bus service from in front of the hotel, so no need to drive. Breakfast was very good. The room was spacious and comfortable.

NH Hotel is an excellent hotel, and the staff is very accommodating. The only downside is that the mattress was rather hard. I think it is time for management to invest in good-quality, comfortable mattresses. The staff did offer us a soft topper, though. So, if you don't like a hard mattress, ask the staff for a topper. The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of foods. There was even a choice for hard-boiled or soft-boiled eggs. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience.

This was a perfect hotel for my 9 year old son and I. We went to the Andre Rieu performance, which was amazing! The lounge restaurant was delicious and brought out a special treat for my son, as it was his birthday.

Could have been better.

The family room was nice, but one of the bathroom was not good. Also the breakfast was too crowded. The breakfast space does not fit people when it is 100% capacity room booked. We had to wait for 30 min in queue to get in for breakfast and at the end not enough options left for vegiterian. At the end they did not chanrged for the breakfast, but we feel it could have been better.

I gave 2 stars at the beginning. But I was not fair, I was hungry and angry and the kitchen was closed at 9 pm.

Great stay, next to the MECC and hospital and just a quick walk into centre of Maastricht. Comfortable room, nice and quiet so had a great sleep.
Lots of choice at breakfast (self service) and I also had a meal in the restaurant which was lovely. Would definitely stay here again.

Front desk staff was very helpful, and let us know that the city bus picks up right in front of the hotel to go downtown approximately every 10 minutes. The room was fine, but the temperature controls take some guesswork to get the temperature to personal comfort (no degree settings, just a +\- dial).

The room was very large. The staff was OUTSTANDING. We had problems with a rental car and the staff went way above and beyond to help us solve the problem, and they did it on a very busy day when the hotel was full. I've never experienced such helpfulness from a hotel staff.

Great hotel, but dubious pricing

Stay was very good, but prices changed every day from between R900 and R5500 for the same room, which seemed over the top. We effectively paid more then double for the Andre Rieu concert with the cost of the Saturday night.
Problems with Andre Rieu travel when initially booking also made the stay more expensive and with less quality seats.

Good restaurant on an out dated hotel

Location is not the best, nothing around the area except the hospital. Rooms are quite out dated and old, bed is not very comfortable and toilet fixtures are very old and almost screaming for renewal. Restaurant was very good in terms of food and excellent service!

Can’t believe a 4 star hotel has room without A/C. It was 30c when we were there. We had no choice but open the windows and got mosquito bites badly. The reception said the room we booked was a standard room which has no A/C. They were fully booked that we weren’t able to upgrade to different room.
The washroom sink was totally blocked. First, the front desk said the maintenance guy was off work already we would need to wait till next morning. I told him I didn’t expect that I can’t clean myself after 15 hours flight. He then became the plumber, drained the blockage.
We parked on the street overnight free behind the building. You would need some luck to find a spot 6pm - 8am.

Very well run hotel with fully equipped facilities, whole hotel area is clean and beautifully set up. Breakfast spread is a class by itself - super great.
Need at least 25 to 30 minutes walk to city centre ( or nearest places of interest) though.

Beautiful hotel which suited us perfectly as we were attending an event at the MECC which is right next door. Only criticism I have is that it a 20 minutes walk to the center of Maastricht. The local area is very short of shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. I would definitely stay again if I was attending another event at MECC but nou if I was visiting Maastricht itself.

Great location for the MECC, large clean room, large comfy bed, shower room large, shower gels good, staff very friendly and helpful. I parked on street which was fine and cheaper €6 per day 12-6pm. Breakfast was good, lots of choice, hot and cold, bar snacks also good. We took a bus into town from the stop outside the hotel very easy, town beautiful and we walked back which took about 30 mins. Would stay here again.

I came to attend a lecture at Mecc and found that I only had to put my slippers on and walk 100 mtrs . The restaurant was excellent . The staff attentive . The hotel clean and easy . The town centre an easy walk away . All together a very enjoyable stay .

Not sure it justifies its 4 star rating. Double bed advertised was just two single pushed together, kettle in room leaked damaging papers on table and inadequate tea and milk for making tea.
Taxis ordered invariably 10 minute plus late.

This hotel is OK

I chose this hotel because it was on walking distance of my client. I parked my car in the residential area, because hotel parking was not free and too expensive. Bed was comfortable, room was clean. I liked the minibar/fridge. Disappointing experiences were the free too slow wifi. For this type of hotels you wouldn't expect to have to pay additional for faster speed, nor to have to pay for the use of the fitness facilities. I was also disappointed that this hotel didn't have CNN on their TV menu. I used a meal in their restaurant. The menu was limited and pricey but meal was tasty and enjoyable.

Overnight stay in Maastricht

NH Maastricht is an affordable but elegant hotel situated outside the town center, and right next door to the MECC convention center. So there are no beautiful views here, but the hotel is smart, rooms are comfortable and quiet, and the breakfast was excellent. Great for a business trip.

We selected this hotel because of its price relative to in town hotels and it was very close to Randwyck train station. It was not difficult to find although it would have been easier if it had a sign on the building when approaching from that direction. The bus service into town was excellent and cost 6 euros for a day pass.
All staff were excellent. The selection and quality at breakfast was very good but the cooked elements could have been kept hotter.
Another reason for selecting this hotel was the spa but during our time there we never saw it open. In order to use it we would have had to obtain a key from reception for 10 euros and wait an hour for it to heat up - not very convenient !! It would have been nice to have set times when it was manned and the residents may have used it more.

Family excursion to Maastricht for a short weekend. Hotel well placed, near MECC, but also close to city center, the \"Markt\" and all the main sights.
Excellent value for the prize, only negative point is the somewhat loud corridor.

Very nice hotel with great breakfast buffet. If you're visiting Maastricht University, the location couldn't be better. 5 minute walk to the Randwyck train station. No restaurants or shops in the area so train, bus, or bike transport is needed if you want to eat outside of the hotel restaurants. Bicycles are available for rent at the hotel.

Great location if you are going to MECC

I stayed five nights to attend a conference being held at MECC. I chose the hotel for its proximity to MECC - but have to admit that I didn't realise just how far the hotel was from the city centre (or any shops).

Standard rooms of the hotel definitely needs renovations - while the room was 'clean', there is only so much cleaning staff can do with a room in such a run-down condition. Also, it did not occured to me that there would be no air conditioning in a hotel room!

Great Hotel! Highly Recommend it.

We was very impressed with the hotel, clearly a high standard. Similar experience to a 4star plus, but for the price of a Hilton. The facilities, decoration was good, the service was very good, food was impressive. Overall experience was exceptional. The breakfast and food generally was very good. The food was so good that although we planned a quick lunch before our departure we ended up staying for almost 3 hours and was very impressed with the experience. Hope to return at some point.
