This hotel massively exceeded my expectations - the room was clean, spacious and in a heatwave of up to 36 degrees it had ice cool aircon. The honour bar (pay for what you pour at the bar yourself ) was an interesting and welcome touch. By far the best part of the visit was the friendly, welcoming and warm staff in the hotel; they just went that extra mile. I had a birthday whilst there, which I did not mention but must have been noticed by staff at check-in when I registered with my passport. Not only did the housekeeping staff leave me a lovely birthday note together with balloons and some bunting, the lovely girl at reception came over to wish me a birthday greeting when we popped in later in the evening for a nightcap. This was an outstanding stay.

This hotel is close to the Central Station, which is good and bad. Bad because it is a little off the main attractions which are across the river. The good point is it is convenient to use the public transport system. The room is spacious, clean and bright, with coffee-tea making facility and an extra sink next to it - a plus, and staff are friendly and helpful. But there are several minor issues that should not happen with hotel at this price point - only one set of keys is provided, the hotel could not provide two sets for two of us with different travel plans; no tissue paper, no slippers in the room; one lamp did not work; broken door stopper system - the extra door between the room and the toilet is annoying to say the least; cutlery is provided (a good point) but staff did not clean used cutlery, yet no detergent or sponge is provided for DIY. All in all for the price I would rate it at 2 1/2-3 stars.

Great hotel near to metro with park & ride.

Check-in is just across the street. Apart from this slight inconvenience, the staff are helpful and friendly. If you drive, parking is just round the corner; parking is free from 8pm - 8am, thereafter €2.6 per hour; Metro station is also just round the corner. The hotel room is spacious and clean. Its centrally located and within walking distance (5-10 mins walk) to the central & eateries. There are many great restaurants nearby, including Michelin star restaurant. Highly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms nice. Microwave a definate plus. Only negative was on the housekeeping side of things. We stayed for 5 nights, bathroom was cleaned everyday and beds made up but floor in apartment wasn't swept once which if it had been carpeted wouldn't have been a problem but the whole room was laminate. It might be an idea if the hotel supplied a broom in each room so that the occupants can sweep any bits that are on the floor away rather than getting them stuck to their feet.

Wonderful Hotel 1 Block from Train Station

We visited Maastricht as our son was studying there for Fall 2016 semester. The hotel and staff were wonderful! I had visited before and stayed at another hotel nearby, but this was SUPERIOR. The staff was wonderful, as was the room, amenities and breakfast. The two reasons for 4 instead of 5 was there were 3 in our room and the single/futon bed was uncomfortable and made a LOT of noise when person moved in it. Second, it is European shower (not the problem), rather the drain/showerhead too close together making showering a bit awkward. The Queen/King bed was extremely comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel

Quirky, nice, but not cheap.

The hotel was comfortable and the rooms 'quirky'. The theme is 'Crafts' so there was an old toolbox in the room. Kind of quaint. The price was very high though. £540 for 2 nights (March 2016) made me choke a little.

In most attractive, trendy part of Maastricht

Check in was a problem. The hotel is part of the Town House across the road, but this is only explained in a closely packed paragraph in Dutch. The front door is locked, and there are no staff on site. The advice to check in across the road is not clearly visible, not prominent and only in Dutch.

Once this had been resolved, by gaining access and telephoning reception, staff were very friendly, helpful and professional.

Room is clean, but sparse and of unusual design - very trendy. It is linked with a design school, and unusual. Room large, bed excellent, bathroom the same, lighting OK, storage adequate, and a safe is provided.

The area of Maastricht between the river and the (very quiet) railway station is the smart trendy arty part of Maastricht with excellent local catering, art galleries and shops. Parking is easy, as it car access - across the river it is a pedestrian area.

Clean, large rooms

Amazingly large rooms.. Very clean.. close to the station and within 10 mins walking distance to the city centre.. I loved the simple designer decor and the hip hop shower.. No reception in the hotel, had to check in the hotel across the street..but considering the quality of the acco, I would put this as a non-issue.

The hotel was incredibly spacious and clean. Note that you need to check in to the reception desk at the hotel across the street. It is very convenient to the train station, which is across the street. The main part of the city however is a 10-15 min walk, across the river. The decor in the room was a little quirky and strange -- a dozen old cameras on the bed, factory doors, strange lighting..

Great stay at the Hip Hotel Maastricht. Check in at the Town House hotel across the road was easy, quick and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms were big and funky lighting was very cool.

Easy walk to the centre, so close to the station and in a lovely neighbourhood! All in all an excellent hotel, would definitely stay again!

The hotel was within walking distance from the station, the hotel staff were brilliant. However, in the heat wave of last weekend we wished we had known that the Hip Hop rooms did not have air conditioning. The fan was useless and we had a very uncomfortable stay of two nights. What a shame they do not rent some air conditioning units like all the shops seem to have! The cost of the room warrants some further expenditure to resolve this problem.

The Ideal Maastricht Hotel

The Hip Hotel is effectively additional accommodation for the Townhouse Hotel directly situated opposite it, wherein is the hotel's reception desk, breakfast room and vending machines. Located less than 5 minutes unhurried walk from the mainline railway station, both the Townhouse and the Hip are ideal for the weary or luggage laden traveller. Some excellent restaurants are also within 10 minutes leisurely walk and the city centre is not much further on. We went for the Andre Rieu concert, having taken the train from Schiphol, and despite being over 65 we found it easy to access everything easily from this hotel. It was a second visit for us and it reaffirmed our previous opinion that not only is its location absolutely ideal, and the facilities therein, albeit quite simple, are more than adequate and comfortable. But in our opinion, the genuine warmth of the welcome and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff are second to none. Being at this hotel was in itself a real pleasure; it was far more than just a convenient place to stay. We wholeheartedly recommend it, especially the main Townhouse segment.

Wonderful hotel - great value!

The hotel was exactly what we wanted - it was comparable in price to a hostel, yet it was quiet, private, and very clean. The hotel staff was very friendly. It's a VERY short walk to the bus station, and a short walk (or bike ride!) to the city center. We chose not to have the breakfast as there are several good coffee shops and cafes in the area. Overall, the hotel was perfect for what we wanted!

Quirky, under-furnished. Fabulous breakfast.

The hotel is in Wyck across the river from the old city but that's not a problem - it's only a ten minute walk across the beautiful old bridge (But walk over the modern one so you can see the old bridge.) The room is large - an interior entrance lobby has a sink, coffee machine and kettle - so good for a long stay. The bedroom looks like a teenage designer was given a free hand. Style at the expense of comfort. However, breakfast was wonderful. They throw in a glass of 'bubbly too.

Great Location; Not Too Expensive

I stayed here recently for 2 nights and really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is in a great location: a few minutes (if that) from the train station and about a 10 minute walk from the city center. Note that the hotel does not have reception in the actual building. You have to go to the hotel across the street to check in and get your key. The people working at the hotel were very friendly. Upon check-in I was asked if this was my first time staying at the hotel (it was) and then he introduced himself and shook my hand. I thought that was a nice personal touch. The room itself was exactly as advertised. It had a very nice modern feel to it, but at the same time it didn't seem like aesthetic came at the expense of practicality. The bed was very comfortable, and the mood lighting was a nice touch (although some of the lights seemed to be broken, but it didn't really matter to me). The bathroom was clean and the shower had good water pressure. I did not have the breakfast because I thought that it was too expensive, so I can't comment on that. I have no complaints. The location is great and the price is right. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Maastricht.

Coolest Hotel Ever

We definitely weren't expecting a hotel this nice for the low price we paid. It's conveniently located 5 minutes walking from the train station. Staff was very helpful. The hotel itself was hip/modern (with kind of a romantic-ish ambiance)... rooms were huge, cool blue/pink lighting that you could change, heated towel racks in the bathroom... we were impressed and would definitely return :)

We stayed two nights in the spacious room at the Hip Hotel. It was very comfortable and clean and very convenient to all the attractions and shopping . Maurice at the check-in desk across the street was very helpful in recommending dinner spots. A cheaper breakfast at the hotel would have been nice (the breakfast served is quite pricey) but there were other, inexpensive options nearby. The free wi-fi was a bonus, too.

However, Check in is at 3pm and check out is at 11pm, which can be inconvenient.
High local taxes per person and per night have to be paid in addition to the price at the time of the check out.

Hip Hop hotel does not have a sign outside, and the only guidance is a sign reading St. Martenslane. It is opposite the Town House Hotel and this is were you book in NOT the Hotel Le Roi as stated by Expedia. Their information is 2 years out of date!!
It is not a hotel but apartments, and the one we were in is basic on furniture, however the bed is 8` x 6`, a fantastic lighting system and even the shower head has a variable light system, also a wallpapered single red rose on one of the walls, from floor to ceiling and approximately 3m wide.
Even though it is only a very short distance from the railway station, we never once heard a train whilst in the room. There is a fantastic Chinese around the corner and its only a fifteen minute walk to the town centre. All in all its in a good location and we would recomment it to all age groups. We are 62 & 60

Hip Hotel Maastricht - convenient but no frills

The Hip Hotel Sint Maartenslaan in Maastricht is easy to find and very convenient to the train station. Just a short walk through a charming neighborhood with restaurants and hotels to reach the historic town center.

The nearby train station is also a regional bus depot, so it can be noisy if your room faces the street. No A/C so you need the windows open in the summer.

This hotel was so cute and 'kitch', in fact, probably my favourite Hotel we stayed in. Hotels.com had a special price discount price operating at the time, making it amazing value. Staff extremely helpful, and our room had been recently repainted. Overall, absolutely recommend it....not sure about the moulded plastic chairs, although more comfortable than they looked

Precis vad vi önskade för en tripp till Maastricht där vi bott förut. Fräscht rum, bra sängar inkl bäddsoffan o ett pentry m kyl för att kunna fixa sin egen frukost. Bra o centralt läge - gångavstånd till allt. Smidig in o utcheckning. Det enda vi hade att anmärka på var att det luktade lite illa då o då från avloppet i badrummet.

Wij hadden een zeer ruime nette kamer. Badkamer zag er ook netjes uit. Bij binnenkomst ook een klein apart gedeelte om koffie en thee te zetten met een magnetron en koelkastje.
Alles zag er netjes en goed verzorgd uit.
Wij wilden ivm de corona geen airco aan, maar met het raam open was er wel aanzienlijk veel herrie 's nachts op straat.

When we came to check in, it turned out I booked the hotel for a different night. Though completely my fault, the young host treated us great, gave us a drink and helped us out. We ended up with an upgrade of the room and had a wonderful stay, thanks to this young man and his colleague. I’m very grateful for this kind of service, I would recommend everyone to stay here because you know you will be in good hands!

Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe des Bahnhofes Mastricht und man kann das Auto im Park and Ride Parkhaus nebenan parken. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal.
Das Zimmer war sauber aber das Bad ist etwas klein. Das angebotene Frühstück war fantastisch. Die Innenstadt erreicht man in 10 min zu Fuss.

De plaats in Maastricht is erg goed gelegen in een mooie wijk. Het ziet er mooi uit van de buitenkant en we werden goed ontvangen door een vriendelijke dame. De lobby is fancy met vintage meubels. De kamer zelf is erg groot met design elementen. Ik had voor 2 personen gereserveerd, maar heb toeristenbelasting betaald voor 3-personen (ik kwam er net achter, graag nog even contact hierover;). Verder is het erg prettig dat er een bad in zit, dit is voor 1 persoon. Er zit een raam in de deur van de badkamer waardoor je naar binnen kan kijken. Er zit ook een grote flatscreen tv in de kamer! Je zit dichtbij het station en loopt zo over de brug naar het oude centum van Maastricht. In verhouding is de prijs/kwaliteit ook goed, aanrader👍

Volgens hun gegeven had ik maar voor een nacht geboekt terwijl ik via deze site twee nachten geboekt had, er moest een andere kamer gezocht worden, met minder faciliteiten uiteindelijk. Bij het uitchekken werd ik gevraagd extra te betalen voor een bijgezet kinderbed, terwijl ik voor drie personen had geboekt, daarvoor werd ik ook nog 20 min. in de wacht gezet.

Large rooms in old industrial building

St. Martenslane is part of the Townhouse hotel, so you check in across the street - there they also have a nice lounge area with books and games, and help-yourself, pay-yourself bar. The room I had in St. Martenslane was large, almost like a small apartment, with a light industrial theme, and a kitchen nook with microwave and some cutlery - very convenient when staying for a few days. You have to pay for any toiletries in the vending machine downstairs, which gives it more of a budget feel than would otherwise be the case given the spacious building and rooms. Overall, nice experience.

Familiekamers was waanzinnig ruim, kaal maar met leuke/grappige details. Het enige minpuntje wat we kunnen bedenken zou de grootte van het bad zijn...

Het goed verzorgde ontbijt was aan de overkant, in een ander hotel. Er is alles aan gedaan om ons een fijn verblijf te bezorgen en dat is gelukt! Komen zeker terug.

素敵なホテル

部屋も広く、3人でも充分でした。
スーツケースを3つ広げられるスペースも充分あります。
バスタブもありました。
アメニティーは、なにもないので、ご持参されることをお勧めします。
マーストリヒト駅からすぐですし、レストランなども近くにあります。スーパーも徒歩10分ぐらいな場所にあります。無料で、果物がもらえます。バナナ、キュウイ、りんごなど。
朝ご飯は、パン、ハム、ヨーグルト、チーズ、玉子料理、飲み物などがありました。
スタッフは、英語が話せますし、親戚です。

Great staff and breakfast

Very convenient location, rooms are big and light.
Rooms at the back are very quiet, the ones towards the road not practical if window open.
we had two rooms, one bathroom was smelly.
We loved breakfast and all the little extras, free soup, coffee, tea, fruity water all day...and night cap at night.
Staff is excellent and helpful.

Hotel in Bahnhofsnähe

Lobby ist sehr nett aufgemacht, man kann sich Kaffee ziehen und es gibt leckeren Kuchen. Schön wenn man ankommt.
Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Leider war das Hotel überbucht. Das wurde uns aber erst sehr spät mitgeteilt!
Wir sind dort vormittags angekommen, konnten die Formalitäten ausfüllenn und unser Gepack loswerden. Check-in war für 15h angesetzt, um 16:30 hiess es, die Zimmer sind noch nicht geäubert, wir sollten noch 30 min. warten. 2h später hiess es dann plötzlich, Hotel ist überbucht! Wir sollten ein Appartment eine Querstrasse weiter beziehen. Nach deutlicher Diskussion gab es dann doch ein Zimmer für uns. Bis auf dieses \"Organisatorische\" war soweit alles OK bis auf Abflussgerüche im Vorraum unseres Zimmers.
Das Hotel würden wir nur bedingt empfehlen..

Op alle basics erg goed

Enorme kamer met erg goed bed en hoge kwaliteit TV. Met waterkoker en compleet met extra dekbed, handig omdat het erg koud was. Verder ruime eigen P. Allemaal logisch en vanzelfsprekend zou je denken, maar vaak is er op een of meer van deze basics iets niet in orde. De stijl van inrichting van de kamer en het hotel is wat mij betreft te kaal en te kil, maar dat doet niets af aan het kunnen genieten van de basics. Daarom kom ik terug.

Leuk hotel, dicht bij station en centrum. Mooi....

Leuk hotel dicht bij centrum en station. Parkeergelegenheid in de buurt. Hotel had geen ontbijt incl. Dit was voor ons een verrassing. Hadden we liever van te voren geweten. Ook 15, 50 euro vinden we rijkelijk veel voor een ontbijt, ook al had deze vele keuzes waaronder Prosecco.

Hôtel trendy super déco, confort des lits et bonne situation pour un prix raisonnable pour la ville. Eaux, café et chocolat offerts: super. C'est un détail mais il manque quand même une chaise ou deux et des tables de nuit ou rangement et porte serviette près de la baignoire+ pommeau douche pas pratique et sans débit. Je recommande!

Leuk hotel, perfecte ligging

Hotel ligt naast het station, ideaal als je met de trein komt, daarbij ook voldoende parkeergelegenheid. Lopend It je zo in het centrum.
Kamer zijn ruim, schoon en personeel is vriendelijke en behulpzaam. Goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding en echt een aanrader.

值得推薦的飯店

房間很大且乾淨，有料理吧台，離中央車站近，飯店採自助管理(沒有櫃台，須至對街飯店領取門卡和大門鑰匙)，住起來有家的感覺。
