I loved the position of the hotel with breakfast by the riverside and the restaurants, wine shops and galleries of Rechtstraat on your doorstep. 11 minutes walk to the station and right by the footbridge to take you over to the beautiful old town

The building and rooms were like they were from the 90's. The shower head was so close to the wall that you had to stand about 6 inches from the wall to get under the water. It was not a bad hotel...it was just nothing special at all. The best thing was the location.

This would be a 5 but for one issue. A hotel of this price should have a refrigerator that refrigerates. I was told \"oh, we have a different system here. It won't make your item cold, but if you put something in it, it will maintain its temperature.\" I pointed out that then it was not a refrigerator. They shrugged.

That aside, it was fine. Request a river view room. Skip breakfast however - 30 euros is a bit much.

Bar service extremely good. Went above and beyond. Woken in the morning by workmen hammering next door. When asked at checkout about I stay i mentioned then being woken by workmen and no warning and the receptionist shrugged her shoulders and said that doesn’t normally happen! Also forgot to give us the ticket to get out of the csrpark

This property needs better trained staff.
Because the wifi signal in my room was weak causing a slow internet access, I went to the front desk to see if other room with a stronger signal was available, but one of the staff basically told me to suck it up.
He said you might be used to a fast internet, but I had to put up with the slow access. I could not believe my ears. I thought hotels like Crowne Plaza have highly professional staffs?

The hotel overall was good. However, the restaurant at lunch time service range from terrible to nonexistent. For instance, the first day (Friday), the waitress took our order and disappeared for about 20 minutes, we had to flag another waiter to find out why our drinks had not arrived. He apologized and said the waitress was new, but he took our order and brought the wrong food...
On the second day, the restaurant manager escorted us to a table and again we waited to be served and no one came to take our order until we complained, at that point, we have had enough and left.. Coincidentally, a couple sitting next to us also complained and said they had waited for about an hour to be served. Overall, the lunch service was terrible..

Always wanted to stay here. Only disappointment was that I could hear everything in the room next to mine through an adjoining door. But a nice spacious room, beautiful breakfast room overlooking the river with a good spread of food. Well positioned of course for the train station, shopping or a short bus ride to the MECC

Service really good. I booked last minute requested a crib and after 10 mind I got a message that everything was ready for my arrival. King bed really comfortable.

Only bad thing is that a guest activate the alarm at 3 am in the morning and me and my family were not able to sleep again ;( the technicians came to the floor ans checked properly until discovered it wasn’t real fire

Preis Leistung leider nicht so toll. Das Hotel ist sehr zentral ABER das Frühstück war nicht gut bis auf das Obst. Da habe ich für 28€ (!) Pro Frühstück mehr erwartet! Der Fernseher hat nur 2 deutsche Programme empfangen und dauernd wurde das Signal gestört. Da bin ich besseres aus Afrika gewöhnt! Die Nachttischlampe hat nicht funktioniert. Aus der Dusche kam sehr wenig Wasser mit sehr wenig Druck. Alles in Allem würde ich das Hotel nicht nochmal buchen. Schade.

Our 2 night stay at the hotel was very expensive especially as it didn't include breakfast.
The room had not been cleaned properly as there was dust on the lamp shades, on the door 'swing' hinge (top of door), and the bathroom floor had not been cleaned properly as there were hairs on it.
I appreciate everybody has their own preference when it comes to mattresses but the mattress on the king size bed was extremely soft as was the mattress topper.
The cups for tea/coffee were very small and were not washed when the room was cleaned.

The room was not cleaned properly. Found previous occupants prescription pills, carpet was dirty. Requested & changed our own bed linen as housekeeping failed to service our room. Room aircon barely made a difference in the heat. No towels in the bathroom, had to ask. The bar & kitchen staff were not attentive, waited over an hour for an order, cancelled & went to eat elsewhere. It’s a disgrace cause we have stayed here before. The only good thing that the hotel has is its location.

Nice property in general, but older building. Our room curtains were not clean initially and had small spiders in them. Told the front desk and housekeeping came to try clean. But only used a broom, not a vacuum. Could have been better cleaned, especially after complaining. But other than that, all else was good. Location was nice, could walk to the train station. Loved Maastricht!

First the good: location is great - right on the edge of the river. Excellent buffet breakfast which was the only meal we ate in hotel. Staff were very pleasant.
The bad? We booked the junior suite for our family of 4 and thought the listed queen size beds were actually full size beds. Great for intimacy but maybe not if youre sharing the room with your teenage kids. Parking wasn’t that easy either - the main garage entrance was broken and we had a bit of an adventure trying to find the other entrance weaving through some very narrow alleys before finally figuring out the right way to go.
Overall good central location but we’ll see what other options available next time were in town

Very disappointed in this hotel, service in both the lounge bar and dining room was terrible. Made a dinner reservation and was seated without menus or drink orders, left after waiting 30 minutes. We were ignored in the lounge bar after ordering drinks, finally served after complaining to the manager. Overall the hotel was very dated and tired. Curtains in our room was hanging off the rail. Cheap plastic cups in the bathroom and no glasses in the room. I definitely would not recommend this Hotel .

A great location for visiting Maastricht, particularly if you have a car as they have a secure car park.

A family room was ideal for 2 adults and 2 children. Very good breakfast and able to eat late.

English tourists won’t have any TV options to keep the kids entertained, so be prepared in advance.

I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room and service. There was four of us and we kept getting only two towels and two bottles of water. We asked for the room to be cleaned every day and only the bare minimum was done and my sons could do a better job with making the beds. However, the food at the bar and the service there was great.

There was construction taking place at the hotel and they put me in the room directly beside the demolition. It was so loud the gentleman at the front desk could not hear me on the phone. Their idea of solving the problem was to move me the next day, charge me full price for that room and NOT charge me for the new room that was a slight upgrade. Really...???

We had a lovely room overlooking the river. The room, and its facilities, were just right. We were in a part of Maastricht that we had not explored before and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel was a short and enjoyable walk to the centre. We thought that the hotels greatest asset were its staff who were absolutely brilliant.. The breakfasts and evening meals, especially the Andre Rieu special, were to be highly recommended. We will miss the Crowne Plaza, and its staff. We will be back. In the meantime, all the best.

Get a receipt before you leave

Awesome stay; minus the fact that they can’t send me a hotel receipt. Reception said their printer was broken and asked if they could email the receipt instead, which I agreed to. However, they never sent the receipt. After calling and asking for it five times as well as sending two separate emails requesting the receipt; still no receipt.

Lesson learned: get the receipt before you leave.

Top situation with parking possibility.

Hotel situated Plaza Mayor with parking exit near the Hotel. (Best spaces in Parking reserved for hotel clients!) It would, however, be usefull if the client was informed by mail in advance of that parking possibility and the access thereto as no access to Plaza Mayor is allowed.
The new restaurant of the Hotel is installed in the breakfast room. Not really cosy and service was not really professionnel. Nevertheless, an Hotel to be recommanded.

Andre Riue concert Maastrict a great one.

Nearly everything up to expectation, very good room, location, cleanliness and comfort. Nice to watch the boats on the river Maas. Had though to wait for our room till evening because of internet breakdown, we had no keys for the room until next morning.
One other thing that should be looked into is the yard facing the river, a lot of weeds and dirt there between the stones.

Loved the room, dual aspect, good river views, comfy bed and lots of room.
Great location next to the river, quiet and relaxing but only 5 to 10mins walk from the old town.
Building a little dated but that’s what happens to every building, styles change over the years. Inside was clean fresh and welcoming, nice furniture and a good breakfast.

An hotel to return.

Nice location, nice room. Parking for 18.50 per day is available and may be used the whole day over even after checking out.
Check-in and check-out very pro and efficient. Clean room, nice view. Excellent breakfast, but they should add some more netherland cheese!
One serious b-mol: for yourdrink at the lobby and the available free water in your room, you just have plastic cups at your disposal!

The room was a little dingy. Time for a refurb in something other than brown. The bathroom could have been cleaner . Public area were good and the views of the river are amazing. That’s what really sells this hotel.
