Overall good experience. Reception desk and restaurant hours aren’t ideal though. I had to call them to check out early in the morning because the reception desk opens at 8:30am and breakfast starts at 9:00am.

The property is beautiful. However, the management has some serious issues. You can’t find the one person who is working, they leave at 6pm and lock the facilities. We booked the best suite three months in advance. 3 days before they told us they booked a wedding and would give us our first night free. They did in the smallest hobbit room ever. Still waiting for our refund as I write. No customer service.

Beautiful property on the river across from an industrial area. The facility was nice and so were the rooms that were different from the usual. But, yes there must be a but, the staff at this hotel (front desk/customer service) were of no use. My wife and I attempted to go to bed at 22:00 since we had an early departure the following morning. We \"attempted\" to sleep but were unable to until about 4:00 the following morning due to guests at the room next to ours holding a party in their room with loud techno music, slamming of doors, and loud conversations. There was nobody to reach at the hotel to assist with this issue since they departed at 18:00. Tried to both email and call the staff but received no response or assistance. At 3:30 had to get up knock on their door and asked the guests to keep it down but this request was ignored. At check-out in the morning, I inquired about why no one had returned my call or emails and the front desk stated that they did not receive any calls. So beware, if you have an issue at this hotel, you cannot expect to receive any service.

Not a 4 star hotel
First of all i arrived at 23:00 and i faced a building without sufficient lighting and i didn't even know if i was in the right place. I parked my car and i went to the reception and the door was locked. I knocked the door but nothing. No telephone to call, nothing at all. I googled their tel number and i called 3-4 times but nothing. After 5 min i called again and finally someone pick it up. They gave me a code to take the keys and i went to my room. Lucky i didn't sleep in the car. The room had a nice decoration but it was only for couples or single use. I was in a business trip and my partner asked me to stay in a different room . Very lucky because if he was in the same room we wouldn't even take a shower. There is not separate bathroom but next to the bed is the bathroom without door or walls. I tried later to put my bottle of water in the fridge and the door wasn't closing having as a result a burnt motor which was on all the time. I turn it off and i hope i saved their fridge from breaking down.

Great location right on the river, fantastic gardens. The rooms we stayed in, two couples, both did not have a separate bathroom. The toilet was in it's own room fortunately but the rooms just have a large tub in the middle of the room. Great for a romantic get away for a couple that are very comfortable with each other, but not great for a weary traveler.

Relaxing stay by river
Went there for our honeymoon and love it. Comfortable room up in the tower. Although there's no lifts, they will bring your bags to your room. Short bike ride into town, but only really the restaurant (separate) and some restaurants north if the harbor are within walking distance. The restaurant next door is really good (truffle pasta). Breakfast is simple and mini bar is surprisingly affordable (similar to restuarant prices). The roaming peacock is beautiful, but is louder than a rooster. Overall if you want a relaxing place by the river this is the place.

This hotel is quaint and contemporary. A little disappointed there was not any room service available except for breakfast. However, the staff makes up for what's lacking in lunch/dinner room service. The suite was great and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing!!! Especially their croissants and muffins. I'd definitely spend another night if I could.

Lovely Family Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay. The castle is beautiful and a short drive from the lovely downtown area. We were in a tower suite and my son loved the \"secret\" room for him and the bridge to access it. Really creative! Our only disappointment is that hotels.com overcharged us by a ridiculous amount. The hotel said that nearly half of what we were charged never made it to them. Very disappointed in the hotels.com service for this one.

We stayed in Suite 9 which was lovely apart from the walk in shower where the rubber seal had perished (and not recently) which resulted in a flood in the bathroom after our first shower. The staff were aware of the problem and gave us extra towels which we used to build a defence. During heavy rain the floor to ceiling window in the lounge also leaks resulting in a puddle.
The breakfast was excellent and we would recommend Hogenweerth to others but avoid suite 9 until it has had the necessary repairs.

Hoogenweerth Suite
We had booked two deluxe rooms, but there had been a room switch and we were \"upgraded\" to the Hoogenweerth Suite, which is incredibly spacious, has a nice separate kitchen and living room and sleeps up to 6 persons, but in my opinion the deluxe rooms are much nicer and cosier, so I would have preferred to have been given the room I actually booked. Nevertheless, Hoogenweerth Suites in a very nice hotel and has an amazing setting on the borders of the Maas. The personnel is very kind and most helpful. The rooms are excellent value for money. We dined at the on site brasserie. Food and service were truly excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Maastricht who wants to stay close to the city center and yet in a calm and peaceful surrounding.

Our suite was ultra modern but the bed was mattress on the floor of a converted hay loft where the ceiling was so low, it was impossible to stand up. The breakfast that was delivered to the door the next morning was amazing and we certainly didn't need any lunch that day!

Perfect Maastricht getaway
stayed for three days in October and it was fantastic. Great location for zipping around Maastrixhr or other locations in the area. Had the I Love Paris suite and it was very large and spacious. Martin the owner and manager was great and very easy going. Didn't get to the restaurant but it looked appealing. Great place, grest service, great stay! Highly recommended.

we stayed in the small suite. Interestingly it has a bath tub in the middle of the room and a small sofa and table made of some kind of soft foamy material. It was a bit challenging to take a shower without flooding part of the room.. Breakfast was very nice, served in a picnic basket. The grounds and room finishings were nice, only disappointment was the adjacent restaurant was closed, but nobody had informed us..

Unieke plek op een landgoed aan de rand van de stad en met prive terras aan de Maas. Zeer ruime, origineel ingerichte kamer met kitchenette met oa Nespresso koffie. Er is geen restaurant of ontbijtzaal, maar het uitgebreide en luxe ontbijt wordt geserveerd in een picknickmand. Bij mooi weer zijn er buiten prachtige plekjes om de dag goed te beginnen. Bij het naastgelegen restaurant kan je goed eten op een steenworp afstand.

Het is een fantastisch landgoed met vele leuke plekjes om te borrelen of ontbijten; vooral als het mooi weer is. De minibar was lekker gevuld met water, fris, bier en wijn. Heerlijk om na een nachtje slapen, de ontbijtmand te ontvangen. Deze was vol met flesje prosecco, lekkere sapjes, yogurt, fruit, eitje en verse broodjes, croissants en andere zoetigheden.
De kamer in het Koetshuis was ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien met een fijn bed. Extra pluspunt: gratis parkeren voor de deur.

Locatie en omgeving zijn perfect. Het gebouw is mooi. Maar aan de kamer zijn een paar dingen op te merken. Het doucheputje liep niet door en de thermostaatkraan van de douche draaide zichzelf automatisch heter waardoor douchen een opgave was. Ook misten we een plekje om douchespullen neer te leggen. Dit misten we ook bij de wastafel, met ook geen goeie plek om je handdoek op te hangen. Wij zijn naar de receptie geweest voor het douche putje en de kraan, waarbij gezegd werd dat er naar gekeken zou worden. Echter kon aan de kraan nog niets gedaan worden. Door het putje zou ontstopper gedaan zijn, maar het heeft helaas niets geholpen. Het leek ook alsof er al een tijdje niet schoongemaakt was, gezien er een dood insect hing aan de muur die echt niet te missen was. Deze hing er ook nog steeds na de tussentijdse schoonmaak. Er werd aangegeven dat dit doorgegeven zou worden en dat er de volgende dag voor iets van compensatie gekeken kon worden. Dit is ook niet gebeurd. Het kasteel is mooi, het ontbijt in de mand is echt onwijs lekker en leuk, maar dit heeft onze ervaring wel minder gemaakt.

Mooi gelegen aan de Maas, in een groene omgeving. Helaas zijn de fietsen alleen tussen 9:00 en 17:30 te reserveren/gebruiken, te laat als je 8:50 in het MECC moet zijn, en niet praktisch als je ‘s avonds iets wil eten in de stad. Appartement was ruim en goed verzorgd, kussens te dik (geen alternatief en receptie is dicht na 17:30). Ramen kunnen niet open, erg jammer. Ontbijt was goed verzorgd en werd op mijn verzoek eerder gebracht, heel fijn. Alleen waren de schilders buiten toen ook al aanwezig, glurend door het raam en met schuurmachines…Verder graag meer elektrische oplaadpunten/parkeerplaatsen creëren, 1 is te weinig als je niet kan reserveren.

Het was leuk om weer te kunnen vertoeven op een landgoed. Echter doet het lawaai van de events erg af aan de sereniteit van de omgeving. Om zulke luxe te willen geven zijn detail als meerdere kussens, degelijk wc papier, een nette kamer (onze keuken stond vol lege flesjes), afwasmiddel om te kunnen afwassen echt wel zaken die verwacht worden. De kamer was niet erg proper, erg veel spinnenwebben, haren in de douche en zelf dode wespen op de slaapkamer.

Prachtg monumentaal gebouw in een rustige omgeving met mooie tuinen en dito uitzicht. Het bed was ok. De regendouche op de badkamer heel fijn. Ik miste alleen een waterkoker op de kamer. Heet water voor thee uit de koffieautomaat was niet echt lekker met koffiesmaak. Het naast gelegen restaurant was niet echt gastvrij, zonder reservering konden we vertrekken. Nu heeft Maastricht met zn diversiteit in de vele restaurants dat helemaal goed gemaakt. Aanrader is het uiterst gastvrije Chalet Bergrust bij de St. Pieter.

Prima overnachting en service bij aankomst prima. Kamer viel zeer tegen, veel spinnenwebben, handdoeken om de buizen van het bad en wasbak (vermoedelijk vanwege lekkage), een rommelhoek met kerstspullen (die had op slot moeten zitten) en zeer verschenen rolgordijnen die met klerenhangers dicht werden gehouden. Ook bleek er onduidelijkheid, vanuit Expedia, te zijn over het bijgeboekte ontbijt.
De receptioniste bij aankomst hielp ons echter perfect en bood een luxere kamer aan in het kasteeltje zelf. Dat was een hele mooie kamer met mooi balkon, kijkend op de Maas. Ook hier mag echter meer aandacht zijn voor alle spinnenraggen zijn.

De reservering van expedia was al niet doorgekomen, daarom wist het nette meisje achter de receptie even niet wat te doen! Overboekt dus!

Delux gebucht - Standard bekommen
Das größte Problem lag in der Kommunikation. Delux Suite auf Grund einer Empfehlung gebucht, nur Standardzimmer bekommen. Trotz vorheriger Kontaktaufnahme, in der man dies hätte klären können, kam es zu dieser unangenehmen Überraschung vor Ort. Mein Bruder fragte vorher telefonisch nach Fahhrädern für uns. Als wir vor Ort waren, waren sie nicht verfügbar, Zimmer war schön, Bett sehr weich, Licht in der Toilette so super hell, so dass man Nachts, nach einem Toilettengang hellwach war.

Ontvangst was vriendelijk, we waren te vroeg aangekomen en onze kamer was nog niet klaar. Een alternatieve kamer werd voorgesteld, maar deze vonden we voor ons iets minder geschikt dus hebben we even gewacht tot de onze gepoetst was. In afwachting iets lekker gaan eten en drinken in de brasserie Sofa die net ernaast ligt. dis was zonder meer een meevaller, lekkere frisse gerechten, mooie kader en zeer attente bediening. Onze kamer die we een beetje later kregen was lekker ruim en historisch, met een aangename temperatuur door de airco ( wat een verschil met de hitte van buiten). Een grote flatscreen tv sierde de kamer, alleen erg jammer dat deze niet werkte (geen ontvangst) , Gezien de receptie na 18u onbemand is hebben we dit helaas pas de dag nadien kunnen melden. Verdere tip naar de zaak toe is wat kleerhangers en of kleerhaakjes te voorzien in de badkamer , nu is er niets om je kledij aan te hangen als je in of uit de douche gaat ... Verder mooie en historisch kader, met ontbijtbuffet(je) in het naastgelegen kasteel. Dit alles op fietsafstand van het centrum.

Het hotel is mooi gelegen en de airco was met deze hoge temperaturen heerlijk. Ik miste een tweede stoel in de kamer. Er is geen terras bij de kamer, maar je kunt gebruik maken van de terras aan de Maas. Het was fijn om met de huurfiets naar het centrum te kunnen. 's Avonds lekker bij het restaurant Sofa gegeten. Ontbijten is mogelijk vanaf 8.30, maar gelukkig stond het buffet om 8.00 klaar (zonder scrambled eggs), zodat ik op tijd aan het werk kon. De receptie was 's morgens niet bemand, uitchecken moest bij de medewerker die tevens het ontbijt verzorgde.

I am quite disappointed. I booked a suite and we got a standard room...All pictures showed the beautiful castle, but we were sleeping in the building next to it. The exterior overall is fabulous...It could not be better...if you wanna get married, this is the place, the restaurant Sofa was amazing, we ate 3 courses and we have not eaten this well in a long time. But the room...thats another story.
Our suite/ room was called the Adam Love suite...nothing really love about it to be honest. The room is painted grey and white, the bathtub is standing right in the room, the sink is so modern, that you manage to get almost everything wet... The TV was mounted too low, so when you were in bed it was not very easy to watch TV...The little kitchen niche on the other hand was pretty nice. The toilet was right opposite of the bed...very nice location if you ask me...Let me put it this way the room was soo noisy that you could hear even the neighbours above doing their business in their bathroom...the bed was so soft, i was awake all night having back pain. I would have loved if we could have gotten also one more pillow, but since the reception did not wait for us and we needed to get the key ourselves even though we were only 3 minutes past 6 hrs at the hotel, we could not request anything else.

Die Lage ist toll mit Blick auf die Maas, wir fanden, dass das Werk gegenüber nicht weiters gestört hat. Allerdings werden jeden Tag Schiffe gelöscht, mit laufendem Motor. Könnte vlt stören. Bei Ankunft war dreckiges und gespültes Geschirr in der Spülmaschine und kein Klopapier vorhanden. Möbel in Küche und Wohnzimmer sind verwohnt. Auf dem kleineren Balkon brütet eine Ente, aber man kann auf den Größeren ausweichen, so hat auch dies nicht weiters gestört. Möchte man sich mal alleine an die Maas setzen, empfiehlt es sich immer den Zimmerschlüssel mitzunehmen, da es keine Klingel für die oberen Stockwerke gibt. Wir haben uns etwas gefragt, wofür im Eingangsbereich Musik gespielt wird und fanden dafür keine Antwort. Der Stromverbrauch könnte vermieden werden.

Badkamer is teleurstellend. Ziet er creatief uit maar geheel niet praktisch. Alleen een bad, geen douche. Na 5 min pas lauw water en het (koude) water in bad liep niet weg. 'Douchen' in bad levert waterspektakel op.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit guter Lage. Sehr nete Mitarbeiter und ein gut ausgestattetes Zimmer. Das Zimmer war recht groß, allerdings gibt es nicht genügend Ablageflächen im Schrank. Im Zimmer befindet sich eine kleine Minibar und eine Nespresso Kaffeemaschine.

Dit heet een design suite hotel maar het is een goedkoop uitgevoerde kleine spartaans ingerichte kamer met slechte matrassen, te weinig voorzieningen, kapotte doucheslang en klemmende ikea toiletdeur. De ontbijtruimte is mooi gelegen maar zeer karig voorzien, de bediening door allochtone hulpen die opdringerig zijn en langzaam bedienen. En dat voor 190 euro. Een tweesterren hotel in Valkenburg is een beter keuze.

Ik vond de kamer minder dan op de foto. Parkeren is niet echt gemakkelijk. Kamer was niet helemaal schoon, vloer beschadigd, bepaalde plaatsen (zoals de deuren niet afgewerkt). Het televisiebeeld onscherp en onze zeep en shampoo na onze eerste dag verdwenen. Het personeel is wel heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam, doch alleen tijdens kantoortijden bereikbaar. Je slaapt ook niet in het kasteel, maar het koetshuis .

Dejlige værelser med opdeling i flere rum. Det gav plads til en familie med to teenagedrenge. Fantastisk smukt fredet slot, som er bygget om til et mindre hotel. Venligt personale og stærk charme. Klods op af bådehavn, flod, stor slotshave og byen Maastricht. For de to teenagedrenge var det også afgørende, at den frie wifi var stærk. Det er den ikke altid.

Beautiful hotel, the view is amazing ! However what we ‘missed’ is airconditioning (or perhaps a fan). The bedroom is on the Second level just underneath the roof. The room was very hot in this time of year ! Of course it is possible to open a window but then you wake up at 5.30 because of the sunlight :)
Other than that the hotel is a very nice place to stay ! We will definately come back !!
