We stayed at this venue because we were attending a wedding there. It’s not very convenient if you don’t have car and transportation to town is limited. We were not big fans of having to go to a special ironing room to iron our clothes. A bit stingy for the price: they do not clean the room or give you coffee pods during your stay.

Overall amazing place , to stay . Reception staff excellent and easy to check in /check out. Great use of grounds with outside cinema , and different areas of relax. But restaurants/bars area extremely slow service and plenty of them not managed at all, walking around in different sections of huge restaurants area but not really doing anything. Need good hospitality management and clear instructions for staff. Food average, if you finally can place order.

Very nice hotel in a very nice location. Good food, restaurant staff are very friendly but lack training. Lights above wash basin only switch off when you remove the key card, leaving you in darkness. if you can live with this, I'd certainly suggest you try this hotel out, we enjoyed our stay

The hotel and grounds were lovely, the rooms very basic with no tea and coffee facilities, breakfast was crap at €16.50 a head!!! Made a complaint about the breakfast but I think it fell on deaf ears so here's are review on the breakfast :- eggs boiled to within an inch of their lives, bacon was cold and fatty, scrambled eggs were powdered and tasted like they were full of sugar, juices were of the powdered variety and the toaster didn't work?? So I wouldn't recommend the breakfast.

Now understand why other guests said it’s a lovely hotel. A bit far from city centre but if you have a car, it’s not a problem. The hotel is surrounded by nature. Recommend if you have kids. A good place for solo retreat as well.

Wow. The location was so relaxing quiet, and peaceful. Right off the main road. You approach through a canopy of trees to the beautiful building. The rooms were great. Hot water with good pressure. The price was also really reasonable.

On the outskirts of Maastricht (5 min drive to the centre) this hotel is geared to conferences - however it is just as fine for visitors to Maastricht. Rooms are fine although the room we stayed in was starting to show signs of 'tiredness' - shower door would not shut and door to toilet a bit hard to shut. Having said this the room was clean, the staff were good and the grounds were nice to walk in.

Lovely property situated in a park-like setting down to the herd of sheep grazing ten yards from the front door! Ideal location for touring Maastricht and for paying respects at the nearby World War II Netherlands American Cemetery and Memorial where the remains of eight thousand US servicemen are interred. Hotel was let down by the over-priced restaurant: almost 19 euros for the vegetarian option, asparagus ravioli. Only 3 choices of dish. It also seemed to be staffed entirely by trainees so that service was very slow. We certainly wouldn't eat there again. The food was far better in the lunch bar.

We only stopped for the night on our way back home from France. Apart from the rather terrible traffic situation in Maastricht - nothing the hotel could do anything about - the stop was a very good choice. The hotel is in a beautiful bit of countryside, part of a grand old estate and in excellent condition. The wing we stayed in was brand new. The room was simple but perfectly adequate: excellent beds, nice bathroom and shower, good temperature control. The restaurant was excellent: gourmet quality food at a very reasonable price.
Best of all, and deserving a special mention, was the service provided by the receptionist: she went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure our stay was an enjoyable one. And it was.

We stayed overnight on our city trip to Maastricht. Hotel and the surroundings is amazing. We've arrived around 10 and the barman prepared us a cheese plate even though they closed the service. Breakfast is good for Dutch standards. Room is clean, large and comfortable. It is a steal for the nightly price of 55 Euros. You should spare an hour for a walk around the hotel after the breakfast.

Check out time 10:30 not well communicated, very much outside usual norms. Because of events the hotel wants guests as early as possible so they start banging at doors around 9:00 shouting \"room service\", you can hear them knocking 1 room after another after another, there are no available signs to say \"Do not disturb\". They knocked 3 times at my door in an interval of 45 mn. Maids are shouting from one room to another, incredibly unprofessional workers from local peasantry. Meals are incredibly expensive, all service delivery geared to leverage distance from city and shake down guests.

Beautiful surroundings and a great hotel! Everything went so well with all the art pieces and the big garden. We had a picnic basket as well, super cozy and a fun and romantic initiative! Only thing we weren't really pleased about was the service at the restaurant as our waiter was a bit rude in his way.

Weekend stay in Maastricht
We like the hotel's environment and location, especially if we want to have a relax and quite weekend. To drive to the downtown Maastricht can be reach by car approximately only in 10minutes. Everything was perfect, friendly & helpful staff unless until the next couple of days after we checked out, we realised that hotels have charged us doubled! The hotel will return the payment to our credit card, but what would happen if we did not check our credit card billing?!

The hotel has been renovated based around an old castle layout and it has been completed very sympathetically.
In the grounds of the hotel there are many wooded walks with art featured which lifts the ambience again.
The restaurant features delicious food and I can honestly say that I had the best pasta dish ever here. My wife has food allergies and they accommodated her culinary needs well. We also travelled with our baby son who was welcomed in the restaurant.
The rooms have been refurbished and are of a modern style, compact yes, but enough space for the three of us no problem.

Excellent hotel on outskirts of Maastricht
This is an excellent hotel set in some lovely grounds on the outskirts of Maastricht. As such you will need a car (although there is a train station fairly close by) if you want the freedom to explore the town centre and or the surrounding area (easy and parking at the hotel). The hotel is a mixture of old and new but the room we were in was very modern and clean (AND GREAT VALUE). The bed is fine and reasonable storage space is provided. No problems with the modern shower. The bar prices are also reasonable.

We were visiting Maastricht University and found this hotel through Expedia. What a revelation - excellent value, a relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings just 5 kms from the centre of Maastricht. The hotel is a castle/chateau in its own grounds outside the city with free parking. The rooms themselves are in a modern wing/annexe to the back of the castle and have clean lines, modern feel with good facilities; not overlarge, but not cramped either. The staff are very efficient, friendly and helpful - not speaking any Dutch was not an issue - they all spoke excellent English. There is a restaurant and a bar at the hotel with very pleasant outdoor terraces and courtyards for sitting out to enjoy a drink or coffee. We did not use the restaurant, which looked quite nice, but the menu looked to be \"special occasions\". We did have the breakfast which had a very good selection of hot and cold food. There is free wifi in the rooms. If we go back to Maastricht, we would definitely choose this hotel.
Travel into the city by car is a very easy drive from the hotel - only c. 3-4 miles to the city centre (15 minutes). Parking in the city is less of deal than some comments on websites. It is not a big city - go onto the maastrichtbereikbaar website for details of the parking places. We used the Stadspark \"Park and Walk\" car park for an evening (free after 6 pm) only a 5 minute walk through the park to the old town. Taxis can be booked if you want to drink with your meal.

the location was better than anticipated - the grounds were lovely and the hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff were friendly and accommodating (especially as Holland were playing in the world cup) and we enjoyed a very elating evening.

Die Inneneinrichtung der Zimmer ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und bei einer Belegung zu dritt gibt es nur ein Zustellbett, was aber recht komfortabel ist. Dieses wurde leider bei Anreise vergessen aber auf Nachfrage recht zügig nachgeliefert. Das Personal war freundlich und die Restaurants/Bars alle sehr einladend gestaltet. Die Umgebung bzw der Park drum herum sind traumhaft!
