Property UNDER CONSTRUCTION - NO ELEVATORS! We had stayed here once before, and decided to bring my older parents for a three night stay. There are no working elevators, and my dad was not able to get up and down the steps and hauling all of our luggage was not the easiest. When we got to the rooms, there were empty wine and champagne bottles outside our doors inside the room. The beds were not made up very nice and it was missing the coffee pots and coffee cups. I stopped and asked the housekeeping and she said that they were very low on coffee, pods and coffee cups in the shower the shampoo and conditioner and body wash. We’re all empty And we were told that we would have bath robes and slippers inside our room for the spa and we did not have any of them so we finally went to go get robes and slippers, but they were out of all men’s slippers and sizes. When you offer a physical therapy pool for people that have mobility issues you need to let them know if the elevators in the hotel are not working having no elevators is unacceptable for a spa with five flights upstairs to use the facilities.

Thermae2000 is a known for its spa and great pools. These were fantastic. The hotel however, was not great at all.

Staff was very rude and people at the reception hardly knew their job. We had to come over for every small miscommunication and this happened very often. Things also weren’t properly explained to us, and navigating the building was a hassle because of the lack of routing.

Communication about restaurants was also very unclear. The “fancy restaurant” at the hotel, turned out to also be a poolside restaurant. Dresscode was unclear and we were offered a wet fabric chair while wearing formal clothes.

Reception was in the pool entrance because of construction in the hotel entrance. This was poorly communicated and hard to navigate at night. The hotel entrance had no lights, it was full of trash and tools and we saw multiple people struggle to enter the lobby.

Most of the rooms feel dated or are in construction. We had a new room, which was fine. We however had a random old fridge, left in the middle of the room (we already had a fridge). We also didn’t get any body lotion, make up pads or q tips. Pretty weird for a hotel next to a spa.

Breakfast was alright but was clearly the same every day of our stay. Plates weren’t even redressed, just replaced the day after. The breakfast also lacked a lot of warm options, such as pancakes.

Overall, the pool really saved our stay. It’s a great pool and therms, but the hotel was very mediocre at best.

They couldn’t find our paid booking. I spent 1 hour sitting in lobby on the phone with Expedia and their guest services. We were given $100 in credit but that money was not worth my time and the utter frustration my husband and I went through. This trip was supposed to be relaxing

Thermae 2000 is a beautiful spa and the hotel is lovely. The room was large with a patio with chairs so we could sit outside. Unfortunately there was a problem the night we were there with a smoke alarm that continued to go off and was quite disruptive. Also, one warning to older guests. The shower was in a tub with a very high step and no bar so you really have to be careful not to fall.

The spa itself was nice, although felt very dated. The rooms, on the other hand, were in very poor condition, with smelly carpet, dirty cups, and not very nice amenities. Cleanliness was an issue. Most likely would not stay here again, but would use the spa again for a day trip.

This was our first time at this Hotel and I would happily return for another stay if I’m in the area again. The pools, spas and other such facilities are outstanding and very enjoyable. We found the Restaurant very well run and the food and service excellent. A visit to Maastricht from this location is also strongly advised.

Awful stay at the Thermae 2000 Hotel.

Avoid this hotel. The hotel is very well situated however the service was not up to par- in fact it was in general quite awful. First, at 259 euros a night you would expect that - at a minimum- that complimentary slippers would be supplied. Not the case. One has to purchase them at the information desk for 6 euros a piece- if one's size is still available of course. Not the case for me or my girlfriend unfortunately. it would seem as a negligible point but it isn't. A four star hotel needs to rise to the occasion. Not the case in regards to providing massages when its suitable for guests.The massages are a bit pricey for what you get and the staff is not very accommodating in trying to satisfy your wishes. One could get the impression that they couldn't care less whether you get your massage or not. Also there seems to be a problem liaising between the front desk and the reservation (information) counter at the sauna level. This disconnect means that a massage that you've cancelled might find itself on your bill as was the case for me. So please keep an eye open. Rudeness on the part of hotel employees is also problematic. My girlfriend and I were approached by a hotel employee with a rude demeanor who asked us not to take selfies in the pool area- there was no \"pardon me\"- or \"excuse me\"- just a rude woman going about her designated tasks. Finally, the hotel is very austere and there's definitely nothing fancy about it. Breakfast was lackluster and poor. Not worth it.

We had booked a room with one double bed, but received a room with two singles. no other rooms were available, but we were able to stay late in the room upon departure. The room was ok, nothing special either way. The spa was nice, although I would have preferred some stronger jets for massage. Nice indoor/outdoor pool, and it helped that the weather was nice! Overall, the price was too high for what it was, but that may have been due to TEFAF at the same time...Breakfast was ok, and free internet in room also good.

Dont waste your money.

Came over from the UK for 2 night stay in Thermae 2000, Valkenburg. On arrival we found the pools were drained! Apparently they do this every fortnight and at the weekend of all times! Be sure not to come then. No spa facility and no working pools! Staff were unhelpful and generally couldn't care less, and this in Holland of all places. The free breakfast consists of a plate of croissants and a cereal dispenser, which were almost depleted when I went up. The building building feels tired and the decor and carpets are long overdue an overhaul. A highly disappointing experience, avoid at all costs.

Hotel staff are very professional and friendly. The pools are maintained to a very high standard. Food at the cafe is fresh , tastes great and prices ok. The rooms are ok , wifi free however not available in rooms. carpets in main areas are stained in certains areas and need to be replaced. I would recommend this resort and would stay there again.

Wellness Hotel in Valkenberg

We stayed here overnight, wanting some rest and recuperation after a week's travelling. The wellness spa is excellent, and the restaurants are also excellent. Two minor quibbles; the hotel building is old and getting a little tired, and there was not enough personnel on duty at breakfast. Nevertheless, highly recommended.

Hotel was okey but do have issues

Although the room had a minibar their is no provision for making a hot drinks in the rooms. The evening meal was more in line with a cooking competion you see on television where cooks are trying to impress the judges with their presentation. Menus are only in Dutch but the staff do speak english and the the meals were describe to us but we were not prepared to see the meals presented as if it was in a cooking competion. The breakfast was first class on both days and you can eat as much as you want. We did not make use of the swimming pool and other facilities as we were not there for that purpose. However it did appear to be well used by other customers. All the staff we came across were first class. Although we were told that our room would not be available till 1400hours on the day of arrival we did in fact arrive at 0800hours. I ask if we could leave the car their and come back later to book in and the reception staff made our room available to us straight away, booked us in and arranged for us to have breakfast which obviously we had to pay for. Hotel is ideal for visiting the Valkenburg Christmas markets held in the caves in the town being only 10 minutes away by foot. However be prepared to walk down a very steep hill to the Town centre where the caves are. We got a Taxi back up to the hotel and paid 7.50 euros which seem reasonable to us. The markets are worth a visit, price of goods in most cases were fair and their is a wide choice.

Never ever again!

The hotel has got on their website many things which are not at their premises, I did point this out, and they agreed that the website needs updating. The rooms are poorly and basic for a very expensive rate a night; I can still not believe how bad it was. I wanted to go for a work out in the gym after a day of travelling, and this was not possible, and also not the following morning, I do travel approximately 15 days a month, and this is my first negative comment regarding a stay, and I do think that I am still very gentle. Think before you sink!

Tolles Hotel jedoch ist das Parken exklusive und sehr teuer. Ausserdem waren Bademantel und Handtücher nicht inklusive für Expedia Buchungen. Daher muss man nochmal 30-40€ extra rechnen.

Leider gab es Baumassnahmen die unser Besuch (vor allem der Thermen) stark beeinträchtigt haben. Auch gab es infrastrukturelle Probleme beim Abendessen (lang warten, fehlende Gerichte), die auch durch das sympathische Personal nicht vollständig geklärt werden konnten.

Generally good stay

The hotel is big, comfy and well equipped. There are adequate signs in the wellness area so you won’t get lost. One thing I was not satisfied with is that the receptionist said the massage chairs were “included” in the access but in the end we had to pay for the usage. It was not communicated clearly that it is an additional purchase.

Das Hotel war gut, was uns nicht gefallen hat war das der Parkplatz komplett voll war und wir haben sehr lange nach einen anderen Parkplatz in der nähe gesucht. Des weiteren waren die Saunas so überfüllt, dass es für mich keine Erholung mehr war es war zu laut und zu viele Leute viel zu viele. Unter Wellness verstehe ich Erholung und wenn gerade in Saunas zu viele Leute sind ist es für mich keine Erholung mehr wenn ich nach eine freie Sauna suchen muss wo Platz zum sitzen ist.

Un lieu idéal pour passer un moment de calme et de détente. La chambre était spacieuse, très calme et la literie très confortable. Les installations du SPA sont très bien entretenues. Le personnel est agréable et attentionné. Pour s'y rendre depuis le centre de Maastricht, le taxi est un peu cher (40€ environ).

Het was oké. Voor een 4 sterren hotel was er veel niet op orde. De kamer had een airco maar deze kon niet voorkomen dat het Nog steeds bloed heet was op de kamer. Was ook erg geïmproviseerd allemaal. De shampoo was bijvoorbeeld op, zinkers check je voor er gasten komen en in het hotel ontbraken overal de plinten. De lijm waar ze aan vast zaten zat er nog wel, beetje onverzorgd.

In de sauna waren veel producten niet meer op voorraad. Yoghurt was op, ijsjes waren op, maar er stonden nog wel handgeschreven borden voor... haal deze dan weg. Scheelt weer irritatie bij je gasten.

En dan nog de prijzen, €7,95 voor een simpele supermarktwafel met 2 aardbeien en slagroom er op.... beetje buiten proportie.

Ik had er echt meer van verwacht. Naast dat het hotel 4 sterren heeft is het immers ook geen goedkoop nachtje slapen hier.

piscine gradevoli e ben organizzate, colazione eccezionale ma pochi tavoli al ristorante. Il parcheggio è in ricostruzione e bisogna parcheggiare, pagando, a circa 400 metri di distanza, camere anonime e aspetto ospedaliero, per niente romantico. Prezzo elevato per la qualità complessiva (300 € per una doppia con noleggio di accappatoi per le piscine), molti servizi a pagamento. L'attrazione maggiore è l'unica vera salita naturale (credo più di 50 metri) dell'Olanda che passa vicino all'Hotel, tanto da avere in cima un club per ciclisti.

Vraiment top pour se reposer. Votre chambre est disponible vers 14h mais rien be vous empêche d'arriver beaucoup plus tôt et profiter des installations dont le niveau est largement supérieur à la moyenne et en constantes améliorations comme en témoigne leur nouveau bâtiment Infinitum
À faire plusieurs fois par an !
Les chambres ne sont peut-être pas à la hauteur du prix mais loger sur place est un plus tout à fait certain. Le Pdj est très très bien également.

De saunas op zich zijn goed ,wel zijn er nu ook al uren voor de sauna met badkleding op de ongeklede dagen??? Een echte sauna is steeds zonder badkledij! (Is niet hygiënisch!!)
Gaan reeds jaren naar thermae,en begin nu toch minpunten te ondervinden,vroeger drankje na opgieting,nu staan ze daar om een verfrissing te nuttigen mits betaling !!
En vooral steeds badpakket ,(badjas handoeken slippers) gekregen,
Nu enkel nog als je bij hun zelv boekt???

Seul petit bémol : lorsque l’on loge à l hôtel, ce serait sympa de disposer d’un peignoir et des des serviettes pour acces aux soins. Par ailleurs un petit set toilettes serait sympa: pas de savon pour mains ... 1 seul oreiller à disposition .. pas de bonnet de douche et 1 seule bouteille d eau dans la chambre alors que nous étions deux. Verblijf verliep prima, wel even andere kamer moeten vragen, ontvingen kamer 44, echter waren ze kamer 41 tem 43 aan het renoveren en hing er een indringende verf en siliconen geur, niet meteen prettig als je op wellness weekend komt. Wel vlot een andere kamer ontvangen (kamer 1), verblijf verliep verder prima. Enigste minpunten zijn, schande dat men 14€ parkingkosten vragen voor hotelgasten, handdoeken en badjassen zijn niet inbegrepen als je niet rechtstreeks bij hen boekt maar via Hotels.com, extra kost voor huur van 15€ pp.... beetje uitmelken heet dit

Kmr toch stoffige bij lampen kap en bij ramen en in de hoeken van de wanden spinnen rag .
Badkmr vloer en wand tegel bij de douche niet wit maar vies schimmel ook het badstoeltjes zie je schimmel zitten ik heb daar dus niet gedoucht op mijn kmr 41.
Wc stroomt continu water door geen dat is zonde water verspilling.

Zeer fijne welness met uitstekende sauna’s. Het welnessgedeelte is nu ook voorzien van whirlpools en dat maakt het nog leuker. Wij hadden de nieuwe jacuzzi suite, prachtige kamer met welnessfaciliteiten en super bed.

Een heel goed hotel met goede service waar je met al je vragen terecht kon, goede kamers met goede bedden en hadden gratis gebruik van de Spa bij, alleen was het er overal te warm binnen, airco’s zouden geen overbodige luxe zijn voor dit hotel, voor wat verkoeling moest je echt buiten het hotel zijn, verder een prima hotel.

Das Hotel hat wirklich eine einmalige Badelandschaft. Der Bademantel ist nicht im Preis drin. Zimmer sind geräumig und haben einen schönen Balkon, der aber nicht sauber war. Im Erdgeschoss sollte die Balkontür zum Kippen gehen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich

Erg vriendelijke medewerkers. De staat van het hotel is echter vreselijk verouderd. Versleten vloerbedekking, lampenkappen en tafels. Sanitair is schoon maar ook gedateerd. Leuk dat er een terras bij de kamer is maar ook dat was zou slecht onderhouden dat je er niet graag zit.

We hadden een tweepersoonsbed gevraagd; niet gekregen
Het bed was takke-hard; daardoor heel slecht geslapen
De sauna opgiet sessies zijn ontzettend druk en daardoor hebben we tot twee maal toe achter mekaar een opgietsessie moeten missen; dat betekent in de praktijk dat we tot 3 uur moesten wachten op een volgende sessie. Dat kan toch anders?

Hotelkamers aan vernieuwing toe!

Op zondag te veel volk zodat er te weinig rustruimte was, wat wel nodig is na sauna-gebruik.
De hotelkamers zijn dringend aan vernieuwing toe, en de bedjes niet meer van deze tijd. 2 bedjes van 80 cm . . . is voor ons geen quality-time!

Modernes Hotel mit interessanter Architektur, terassenartig an einen Hang gebaut. Sehr gutes gehobenes Restaurant. Freier Eintritt in eine wirklich sehr schöne Therme mit mehreren Schwimmbecken, Whirlpools, Strömungskanal, großer Saunalandschaft. Die Therme ist auch öffentlich zugänglich, bei unserem Aufenthalt (Anfang Oktober) dennoch nicht übermäßig voll. Kostenlose Bademäntel. Frühstück im Bademantel erlaubt (gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber praktisch). Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig, es fehlt aber ein gesundheitsbewusstes Angebot, dass den \"Kurlaub\" abrunden würde. Keine Anstrengungen zur Müllvermeidung. Angestellte sehr freundlich, obwohl kurz hinter der Grenze, kommt man mit Deutsch nur bedingt weiter. Parkplatz kostet 12,50€ die Nacht. Obwohl ziemlich neu wirkt manches in die Jahre gekommen.
Die Kritikpunkte haben den Aufenthalt nicht wirklich getrübt, würden es aber, wenn sie abgestellt werden könnten, perfekt machen.

Ruhig gelegenes Hotel

optimal für ein paar Tage Entspannung, ruhiges im grünen gelegenes Hotel, in ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuß ist das schöne Städtchen Valkenburg zu erreichen

Perfekt. Immer wieder

Für uns war alles perfekt. Sauber. sehr schöne Badlandaschaft sowie Saunabereich.
Ab Sonntag mittag etwas sehr voll aber das spricht ja nur für die sehr schöne Therme.
Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und super nett. Zimmer war sauber und uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Wir kommen bestimmt nochmal wieder.
