Hotel was in need of significant maintenance/upgrade in the communal public areas (eg, exposed wires and large patches of duct tape around lifts; dirty and chipped floor tiles. We had paid extra for a junior king suite with a river view. The Internal room fine but our “river” view consisted mainly of a construction site / building works, which felt like a substantial misrepresentation / misleading advertising.

Noise from las olas can be bothersome during special events such as spring break. The shower never got hotter than luke warm. The bed was very comfortable and lots of pillows. WiFi was great and location was perfect close to many restaurant choices and shopping.

The Riverside Hotel is a beautiful hotel that gave me Old Florida vibes. The staff is friendly and helpful. We arrived around 9am and for $35 were able to check into a room. There are bars and restaurants within the hotel as well as a few steps away on Las Olas. We walked along the River Walk which was beautiful as well. We used the pool which was nice. There’s plenty of shade for those that don’t want to be in the sun. We had a corner room with a spacious balcony where we could watch people and yachts on the New River. I’d definitely stay here again!

At check-in, the front desk gentleman was very abrupt and dismissive. We were charge additional fees which were not listed when booked and were above the Hotels.com “balance due at hotel”.
Our room was old, outdated and dirty. The floor was sticky, the toilet was wobbly, towel rack mount was broken, the bathroom mirror was pitted and in need of replacing; there were poorly patched holes in the bathroom walls. There was something crusted on the bed sheets. The overall cleanliness was poor. For the money, I expected something nicer. There were also motion activated light in the room (on the TV wall) which didn’t have an apparent switch to turn them on or off. Super inconvenient and annoying, especially when we moved around at night.
Or room was on the ground floor adjacent to a meeting room and just outside our window was the outdoor seating area for the bar (within 15 feet). We had been up for over 20 hours traveling for a cruise and let’s just say there was no peace and quiet to be had. To top it off, the in-room alarm clock had been left set and woke us up 2 hours earlier than desired.
This was hands down one of the worst hotel experiences my wife and I have ever had. I’m sure there are nicer, cleaner and quieter rooms at the hotel. We just got stuck with the worst they had to offer.

The hotel location is excellent and very convenient, the property is clean and well maintained, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The only downsides were that the mattress was quite firm, which made it less comfortable for sleeping, and the cleaning staff could be a bit noisy at times. We have stayed here twice and really do love the location and amenities. The problem is the air conditioning system does not adequately deal with the humidity issues in the guest rooms. We assume it is due to the age of the hotel and the system. Due to this problem, we will not stay here again.

We love the Riverside and have stayed multiple times, usually in a balcony room in the tower. We just stayed twice in 2 weeks, before and after a cruise. Four of us stayed the first nights in a 2 bed queen room in the older section and found it to be very small and cramped for us. Impossible to be able to open our suitcases at all. Upon our return we were able to get our corner balcony room which had much more room.
One of the only 2 elevators in the tower section was being repaired, and on one ride up we started to hear awful sounds of things crashing, metal falling, etc. Scared us to death! That did make me very nervous every time we rode on it!
Absolutely love the location on Los Olas, walking distance to so many great places to eat, shopping, and jumping on to the river boat. We wil be coming back again!

Room is OK, we were in the old part of the building. Very outdated. Bathroom was small and we had no place to put your stuff. Room drastically needs technology updates and more outlets to plug-in laptops and/or charge phones and iPads.

If you don't want to stay on the beach, this hotel is in a perfect location for you, especially if you are not renting a car. It's right on Las Olas Boulevard with everything at your fingertips. It's an old, classic hotel that's been there for 90 years, so it has that special charm. Although older, the rooms are being modernized and Merline, who checked us in, upgraded us from a standard King room to an updated corner mini-suite with a terrace overlooking Las Olas, because we were repeat guests.
