We had a great experience at this property! The location was what I'd hoped for- safe, close to the freeway entrance, and easy to navigate. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were very nice. Should we be in town again we will certainly plan another visit.

Although the hotel was dated, the property was immaculate and the rooms were very clean. The pool was extremely well kept and the duck pond was a welcoming attraction. The custodial staff were very welcoming as well as the weekend staff at the front desk.
I would give this hotel a higher rating; however, when I first checked in on Friday, the front desk staff were very rude. Didn't even greet me and proceeded to ask for my ID right away. My in-law carrying my baggage asked where the restrooms were, the staff member made a face stating it's over there. Also, I happened to go the breakfast room 5 minutes early to get coffee (one of the workers said I could) but then approached by another employee reminding me that breakfast starts at 6:30 and to get coffee by the lounge.

I found hairs in my complimentary breakfast, no clean towels at pool and there was mold or black algae on the sides of the pool, the TV in the room didn’t work, and the soaps given for shampoo and conditioner were horrible. I am so disappointed considering how much money I payed for this hotel.

Pros: The room was clean and in good condition. We liked the lagoon in the property where you can feed the fish, turtles, koi, ducks, and geese. The free breakfast has enough of varieties, scramble egg, sausage, pancake, toast, bagel, juicy, milk, coffee, etc but it's the same exact selection every single day.

Cons (minor ones): I stayed in the one of two only suites in the property and was surprised to find that the most expensive room does not have the best view. Our room's view was toward the main road instead of the actual lagoon or the pool. Someone was smoking nearby which prevented us to use the AC since they would suck in the smoke.

Centrally located, this property is above average. The room was clean, and the property was well maintained. The breakfast, however, lacked variety...and while the coffee was excellent, the eggs (loosely scrambled and NO hard boiled eggs) and dry sausage, wasn't up to par with other like hotels.

This was a nice motel, not fancy although the picture of the pond was alluring, we didn't have a view of it so no big deal. Pool and Hot Tub were nice , the location was good,
the Room served our needs and the bed was comfortable. I would stay there again while on a budget.

We had a fantastic weekend at the Ramada. The property was beautiful and we had an amazing view of the lagoon. Loved the baby ducks, koi, and turtle. The breakfast staff was absolutely phenomenal and a great way to start our day. The room had a great vibe and high celings. Love that the room had an additional sink outside the bathroom. Mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker were a bonus. Great to have a balcony as well. Good value for money.

We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of driving. The property features scenic landscaping, and our room was clean. The included breakfast offered a nice variety, and the attendant was wonderfully enthusiastic, doing a fantastic job of orienting us to the options.

However, we had two issues during our stay. First, room #147 is located near the outside gate and the building's glass entrance, meaning we heard guests coming and going at all hours as the metal and glass doors shut. Second, the toilet tank made an intermittent loud noise due to a leaky flapper repeatedly topping itself off. I had intended on reporting this issue at checkout but the front desk agent was on the phone as I dropped off the key.

We’d definitely stay here again, but we would make sure we weren’t near the outside doors, the ice machine or elevators, since the walls seemed to be thin.

I wasn't too impressed with my stay at the Ramada in Santa Barbara. Upon checking in there were two employees at the desk. One who was helping me and the other one (male) who was on the telephone with a potential guest i'm assuming. He was incredibly snarking and rude to the person on the phone. His colleague (female) agreed with his disrespectful attitude and acknowledged it by smiling at him and giving him a half eye roll. That was a terrible first impression from the hotel staff, it was really unnecessary to be rude to the guest when being asked about pricing of the hotel stay. Not sure if the hotel was within the guest budget range but the male employee made me feel uncomfortable with the way he was speaking with the guest over the phone. It felt very judgmental and almost (mean girl) like. As for the room my daughter and I killed two decent size bugs and I think the final straw for us was when we were in the bathroom and the rubber mat on the bathtub looked like it had dark stains or mold on the edges. Thankfully we were only there one night.

We really enjoyed the old hotel charm. Especially the duck and lilly pond. The women in the breakfast room who greeted us and assisted was lovely and helpful.

The only issue I had was not refreshing the room. I don't mind the beds not being made up but I do like fresh towels, cups and coffee. It was not an inexpensive room and I just thought we should have call for each item we needed replaced. Also, we did were able to get internet eventhough I was a Whndym honors member.

However, overall we had a wonderful stay and would return.

The staff was SUPER friendly and professional. The parking lot could use some extra lighting in the far back. But my overall experience was amazing! The bed was super comfortable. I loved that every room had a balcony (that I saw). The shower head had great pressure! Room was clean with cute decor! I felt secure and safe in my room. Super close and easy to get on and off the hwy. Breakfast was delicious! I wasn’t ready to leave back to the real world again. I’d 100% stay here again.

No big issues, but they nickle and dime you at every chance. The WiFi is a good example. You have to join their club or pay by the day. If you join, you get VERY SLOW service unless you pay extra. They have ducks in the garden, if you want to feed them, you have to pay extra. For a $230 room, why not do what other similar hotels do and include the WiFi. The breakfast was OK, but they opened later than promised.

The staff were all great, especially at the front desk. I cannot recall their names sadly but everyone who worked there on May 10-12th was great.

The room was also nice and decent. These are why I gave even a few scores. However, from what I saw the only wifi option was paid wifi. That is absurd especially in this day and age where almost everything is online. I cannot rate highly or recommend a place to stay where wifi is not included in the booking for no further charge. This must change for me to consider Ramada again. Thank you.

If you're looking for a perfect place to stay in Santa Barbara, do yourself a favor and book your stay at the Ramada by Wyndham. It was very clean, comfortable, relatively quiet and very reasonably priced for the area. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The continental breakfast was as good as any that is included with the room charge. Will definitely be booking our next Santa Barbara stay here.

Not a great location. Too close to interstate so air is polluted and it’s noisy. Interior design and choice of colors is distressing. Grey,dark red ,dark wood tones which makes everything look unclean and unhappy. Needs a refresh to get a recommendation Nice interior courtyard but something about the property was off and uninspiring.

Hesitant to post a review because I want to gate keep this gem. Hotel costs in Santa Barbara range from pricey to mind blowing but this spot is a rare affordable and beautiful stay. The lagoon is magical- highly recommend a lagoon view room. Ducks wander, turtles sun bathe, gorgeous coy fish enjoy a feeding and a very wise night heron keeps watch over it all. The breakfast is basic but great for an early bite. Staff is incredibly kind and the room, although small was perfect for the two of us. Centrally located for our day trips to Santa Ynez, State street and Goleta. Looking forward to coming back with the entire family. Oh…almost forgot, fresh cookies offered daily around 4. This place truly lives up to its “award winning” title.

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room initially appeared clean upon arrival. However, the room felt a bit dated, and later I found food wrappers on the floor that had been left by a previous guest. The bathroom also could have been cleaned more thoroughly, as there appeared to be makeup marks on the wall behind the bathroom door. Overall, it wasn’t a bad stay, but the cleanliness of the room could definitely be improved.

Bed sheets had significant sized, yellow-tinted, dried stains. The replacement sheets provided by staff also had various stains as well.

Bathtub/shower floor was visibly brown in most areas.

It provokes the thought of what else is not cleaned appropriately, or at all, in the room.

Our kids live in SB and we've made this our regular hotel for when we come to visit. The rooms are so comfortable and spacious and the grounds are immaculate. There's a beautiful lily pad pond and a really nice pool area. We also really love that we can turn the a/c down to 60.

My husband and I stayed in a mobility-accessible room. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. However, it lacked a few important features.

First, the room needs a mirror in the room for make up. There was only a small mirror above the bathroom sink, and no shelf or space to place a makeup bag while getting ready.

Second, there should be a shelf or towel rack near the sink. There were no hooks or surfaces nearby to hang a towel or place toiletries. I had to walk to the other side of the bathroom, dripping water after washing, just to reach a towel. This was a significant hazard, especially for someone with mobility issues.

The “Terrible”overall rating is due to the manager, M.R. We asked if we could check in 55 min early. M.R. stated that there was a room available but the early check-in fee would be $20.00! What a complete turn off. $20 for a “early” 55 min check-in. If M.R. is a reflection of this hotel’s management / ownership, this may be a place you might want to avoid. However, the rest of the staff, especially the breakfast lady, were marvelous. Maybe they know that they have some making up to do.

The room was nice, but I was placed on the 1st floor which had a sliding door you could lock and it opened to a patio with not even a couple feet off the ground. That night, I heard a knocking and banging coming from the window and sounds similar to someone trying to open the sliding door. When I called the front desk to ask if someone from security could assist, they said, \"I'm the only one here, but I'll call security and take a look.\" I couldn't sleep that night because I kept hearing a banging from the window and got now follow up from a staff member. The room was nicely set up and breakfast was nice, I just think there should be a change to the first floor rooms' set up for more security.

This is a quiet property conveniently located right off the freeway making it very easy to get to the downtown area and upper State Street in minutes. The staff is kind and helpful. The facility provides a full breakfast each morning to help jump start your day. Gina, who manages the breakfast operations is super kind and helpful. Our stay was very pleasant and we would definitely consider staying again.
