This is definitely more of a \"motel\" than an \"inn\" and the room definitely have a somewhat dated motel feel. So if you care about having a \"luxury\" feel, this probably is not the hotel for you. That said, Santa Barbara has a lot to do and we didn't really want to stay in our hotel anyway, so the fact that it was clean/comfortable enough and the staff was accommodating and helpful was good enough for us.
They have a continental breakfast that wasn't notable, but fine if you're looking to grab a quick coffee/bagel etc. There is also wine and cheese in the afternoon, but despite being in wine country they serve some truly horrid stuff (I think probably out of a box), but if sweet Chardonnay and uninspired red wine (supposedly Cabernet) is your thing, you might enjoy it.
The only real issue we had with the hotel was how loud it was. You can hear everything that is happening in the parking lot/outdoor hallways (one day we were woken up at 6:30 by people loudly checking out) and the staff starts (loudly) cleaning rooms a little after 8:00, so this definitely is not a great spot if you do not want to get up early (we gained two hours traveling, so this was fine this time).

We LOVED our stay here. The lobby was so inviting, the common areas were wonderful with a fire lit at night and the pool and the hot tub was wonderful. Our room large, but cozy and comfortable. Staff was amazing! We really appreciated the suggestions of beautiful drives we could take. We loved riding the bikes available to us and the wine and cheese in the afternoons. Wonderful place to relax.

On the Tuesday of the week I stayed there was very disturbing construction noise throughout the day. I love Brisas, have been there many times and hope to continue to visit in the future, but I payed full price for the room that day. I recognize the need for construction work, but this placed all of the burden for the noise on me and I think Brisas should have provided a refund to me for that day.

Everything was perfect! The front office staff was so polite and offered a complementary upgrade because my mom was on a walker. The hotel was so cozy and lovely. The hotel is just lovely with a great pool and spa, on-site bikes, a really tasty breakfast, ample parking and a convenient location. The Hotel building is very nice, however it needs updating ( Paint, carpets, etc ) Booking with expedia gets me less desirable rooms or locations!! My room was the# 19, the last one on the back of the building with the view of the alley and next door parking lot !! Front desk told me it was the last one available and that the hotel was all booked !! # 18 was empty !!

Great customer service. They made a last minute getaway special and they offered great personalized service. Their cocktail hour was a pleasant break in the day. Highly recommend taking advantage of their free bike rental especially being so close to the beach and the pier. The rooms are overall clean and very spacious. Loved our stay and will be back again. The pool and jacuzzi were in great condition and they offer a nice gym on site too. Just wish the jacuzzi was a tad bigger (only fits 6) but overeall great getaway.

The motel is very clean and has a very nice feel to it. There is tea in the lobby at all times. They also have a happy hour and bicycles to use. Parking was easy and included in the price of the inn. The inn was full and yet was extremely quiet which was wonderful. Our room, #4 had a living room area, a kitchen and a bedroom. The only caveats were that there was a loud humming sound outside of the bedroom, a generator, a large fridge, a dryer--that hummed loudly all night and kept us awake. The toilet needed to be readjusted to flush easier and there was a bright light outside of our room that shone brightly in the living room. The street has much traffic but we could not hear any car noise from our room. The inn was near the funk zone and within walking distance to the harbor which was delightful. Right behind the hotel is a park with The Carriage and Western Art Museum with beautiful saddles and an old western town. Really fun.

Major disappointment. Nobody saving hard-earned money for a cosy Santa Barbara vacation should be misled into this glorified motel. The rooms like any motel, cleaning is summary at best, breakfast is limited to the bare minimum and the exact same everyday, and the swimming pool / gym are so gloomy that no one wants to use it. This stay was the worst part of our four-day stay.
