This hotel was great! I was in town for a conference and it was in the perfect location. The area is safe, the night time walks are beautiful. The hotel staff is very accommodating. Notes: There are no elevators so if you have accessibility options, you'll want to ask for bottom floor. The dishes in our room were all dirty and just put back in the cupboard; I just re-washed everything. Overall, I'd stay here again. It's a nice quiet place close to the ocean and the zoo.

This was a cute spot, and the price was great for the location. I do suggest asking for a room on the second floor though. The walls (and floors) are very thin, and we slept terribly because the folks staying above us woke us up at all hours moving around their room. I was amazed how loud it was. Great staff and service at this hotel, though!

The staff were wonderful, and we really loved the location. I’m giving an overall 3-star rating because during our three-night stay, the WiFi and TV did not work at all. Someone came to try to fix the issue but was unable to resolve it. We were told maintenance would check on it in the morning, but we never received any updates.
Since we were traveling with a toddler, having no TV or WiFi for three days was disappointing and inconvenient. We would have appreciated better communication and some form of accommodation for the inconvenience. Aside from that issue, we did enjoy our time and hope it can be resolved for future guests.

When I checked in, I had booked through hotels.com and originally I was assigned a small queen room in an alcove with a tiny exterior window-- but the front desk staff was extremely accommodating and pivoted to a room with high ceilings and a wonderful pool view and lots of exterior light. Grateful for that -- I know what room to ask for next time (19). This made my trip so much more enjoyable!
I would absolutely return, and also appreciated the breakfast treat (coffee, yogurt, and a muffin). I can't wait to try the bikes and hot tub next time.

I’m appalled that they 1. wouldn’t notify us of this upon check in 2. give us a room that is not directly underneath it. These floors were so thin we heard whatever work boots they had on all clacking on the floors all night long, at one point they were dragging things around the room, they had music going. It was actually wild. What’s crazier is the fact that they were still working when we decided to leave the hotel in the morning around 9am.
Once again though, our second night, they started renovations again.
Another issue I had was at check-in. I accidentally gave the lady my name (cause I thought I used my name to book) and instead of saying she didn’t have me in the system she tried to check me in as someone with the same first name but different last name. Turns out it was under my friends name but I thought that whole encounter was weird.

I had a pleasant stay at Pacific Crest Hotel. The room was spotless, and the location was fantastic. We had a minor hiccup with late check-in, as the staff had left by 9pm, but they were helpful over the phone, making it easy. Incase of late check in make sure you call them up and clarify the checkin process. The only improvement would be the food services, but overall, I’d definitely recommend it!

Parking can be tough in the evening, there aren’t really enough spots and you may have to park on the street which is not something I like as I have small children. As long as you are used to staying in renovated small hotels and not 5star hotels this place is great, and overall better than most. I’ll be back!

When we get to the place the first impression was not so nice, felt like oldie, small TV that has issues to get channels work, and the lack of hangers for wet towels with a great soft king bed and great shower. Super tiny bathroom, impossible to hang all wet things. Huge closet that can be used for part of the tiny bathroom.

Clean, but small ish room. I thought I would have a private deck, but you just get one big one that is shared with next door neighbor and opens up to the entire floor. Overall, it was fine for a one night stay with my dogs. Had streaming services on the tv, but didn’t work, so we watched cable. Staff/owner was very kind and accommodating.

I had an amazing stay at the Pacific Crest. I was a last minute book because the airbnb my family rented misportrayed how many beds it had. The first night the TV did not work in the room and hotel staff went out of their way to remedy the issue that had occurred due to a weather power outage. When it could not be fixed, they upgraded me and put me in the penthouse suite. It was amazing and I had a great few days at the Pacific Crest. Thank you!

Very disappointed. My young daughter and I were traveling alone and we were given a room that seemed to be maybe an old garage converted into a room. It was dark and felt a bit creepy. There was a large gap in the exterior door and several large spiders walked right in while my daughter was awake, so that left her feeling uneasy. We woke up and there were a few dead bugs that I believe flew in through the gap during the night.
Pros were the convenience to everything, the location near the beach was fantastic, free easy parking, the pool looked clean and well maintained. I might’ve like this hotel if we were given a different room, but I won’t be returning.

i am planning on emailing the hotel directly. Our room smelled like mold, i am allergic, and sensitive currently as i have recently completed a course of radiation. i felt symptoms coming on after only being in the room for 10 minutes, opened up our windows, and went to the office to ask if anyone else had complained about a moldy smell. The other cosmetic issues in our room, including the hard bed, and the lumpy pillows, could be overlooked, but not the mold. i also got a bloody nose early this morning. i will be asking for a full refund, and hope you will seek some professional to do some testing.

After reading other reviews, I was a little nervous about picking this hotel. Everything turned out fine. Whatever construction had been happening is finished. We had no water pressure issues. The room was a little worn in spots, but clean and comfortable. The location can't be beat. A two-block walk to the beach and 30 minutes to the wharf. It is in a sweet, quiet neighborhood away from some of the hubbub. Is to get to by car and ample parking on site.

The first room we were given wasn't clean or ready for us. it was a very small room with just a bed and television. This was the room for the special rate, having second thoughts about using your special rates in the future.

The beds were uncomfortable, only two sets of towels for 4 people, the bathroom window was cracked, a wax of hair was on the bathroom floor when we got there, and the chairs looked dirty. this place is in a safe area but this hotel is just a barely renovated old motel advertised as an upscale type hotel. We definitely enjoyed the fact that it was so convenient to walk to the beach with our doggy. Room was small but comfortable. We did not however enjoy the fact that we were downstairs. You can hear all the noise coming from upstairs apartment. Check-in was wonderful! Receptionist Naomi was helpful in giving information about the area and even if we wanted to overnight charge our EV. Tuesday morning’s receptionist was also excellent! She was in the middle of baking more muffins so she gave us the yogurt first and told me the time to come back when the muffins will be ready! Wednesday's receptionist was not the best! Not only was she not informative about breakfast items but I felt as if she didn’t understand what I was saying! First I thought she said she had no breakfast then when I asked “so, no yogurt.” She said “oh, we have yogurt.” Same with the muffins. It shouldnt have to be that hard! Then when I asked for a copy of my statement she said since it booked through a third party she couldn’t provide me a statement; I would have to get it from the third party. I have booked through Hotels.com before, and this is the first time I’ve heard that reasoning! Is it correct?

It was our first time visiting Santa Barbara and first stay at Pacific Crest Hotel. This was a last minute trip and we were pleasantly surprised on how nice and welcoming this hotel was to our family and how close it was to the beach. We will definitely visit again with more time to spend.

Nice quiet location. Very close to the beach to walk the paths starting at East Beach all the way to State St or the Warf if (about 20-30 mint walk). Dog friendly, so it was great for my family. We had the room with a full kitchen, and we were a short walking distance from the small grocery which was very convenient for thing we forgot. Small but nice warm pool.
