A fantastic hotel in Santa Barbara. We arrive 3 hours before check in… no problem. The valet took our car and assured us that our cases would be taken to our room upon allocation… they were. Front desk … no problem, gave us a card the we could access the pool and explained where bar/ restaurant were.
Our room… so good. Great king size bed, wonderful furnishings, superb bathroom. Plus views over the beach and ocean from a lovely balcony.

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. We didn't pay for an ocean view, but still received a wonderful view of the mountains and Santa Barbara neighborhood. Room was clean, decorated well and we appreciated the complimentary waters after a long drive. We did not use the valet parking, and we were able to find street parking behind the hotel each day. We liked the location of the hotel, right on the beach and not too far from downtown.

I paid for full ocean view king room and when I checked in I was disappointed because it looked like partial ocean view not full, and the staff mentioned since it was booked via Expedia they weren’t able to select a specific room. All of the full ocean view rooms were booked.the staff was friendly and professional, They showed me other alternatives but was satisfactory. This hotel has a great view and nice location close to downtown SB. Room was nice and bed was comfortable. If you have a balcony room, view is great but we were facing Cabrillo street and it was so noisy. Loud motorcycles constantly cruising by. The noise from the bar and dining area also sounded very close like they were next door. It is quiet when the balcony doors are shut though. Valet was fast and most of the staff were friendly. Next time we’re in the area we’ll stay away from properties on Cabrillo Street.

Guests may not be inclined to walk all the way to the front desk for complimentary coffee which is only available 5:30 to 8:30am. You can get it in the fitness center (odd choice) until 11am. Only having valet parking ($29/ night) is also inconvenient because the hotel location means you will have to drive for food, entertainment, etc. There is a restaurant. But it closes at 9pm. Not a bad place to stay. But for the money and amenities, there are more compelling options in Santa Barbara

Happily paid an upgrade for premium King full beach view w/ balcony… BUT HOLD THE PHONE. We couldn’t fit two teeny chairs on the one fully OPEN front balcony if you wanted to unless you did some cuckoo, over-the-railing gymnastics maneuver & then sat practically on top of one other with your legs entangled. It was so bad that we LAUGHED… until we marinated on it some more & became legitimately peeved. Thank heavens we were out & about for much of our stay because the TV didn’t even operate properly. Absurd. We didn’t even bother to request help at that point, because we really didn’t want maintenance/tech staff traipsing through our room since we had such a brief getaway as it was. To add to the fun, we couldn’t get Verizon reception on our phones in the room, even after connecting to the hotel using their WiFi password. We could barely, if at all, load online maps of local areas of interest, unless you had an hour to let it load. We’re truly baffled by this hotel. The final pièce de résistance was a lack of proper, REASONABLY accessible coffee service for guests. A 5:30am-8:30am coffee service is so clearly only for the business clientele jumping on early flights. For heaven’s sake, how embarrassingly cheap could a SB hotel be, especially one that thinks it would like to compete with the “big girl” hotels on the waterfront. We reside in SLO county & have a myriad of friends & connections who supply SB hotels with much-needed business during their off-season. What a shame.

I liked that it's accessible to the beach across the street. It was a better experience than when I reserved at another hotel a year ago. It has a very Asian/Greek/morrocan/tropical influence, which is a bit confusing because when you look at the hotel - its Spanish architecture. Its just a normal street corner hotel with its own parking bays, one per room, however they scam you into having to use valet for $43 so they can park your car 15 steps away, if you dont pay then you must find street parking. Absolute scam.
