Attention to detail in regard to our room was outstanding. The hotel looks like it went through a complete renovation. While our room was not very big, it was very comfortable. The king size bed was comfortable and had luxurious linens! The bathroom had an amazingly large walk-in shower. The location made it perfect for going to the beach or walking downtown. We came to Santa Barbara by train from San Diego and the Motel was a short walk away from the train station. Stearns Pier is a 5-minute walk away! We loved that this motel is locally owned and operated! The Marina Beach Motel is a place we will recommend to friends and family who visit Santa Barbara!

We only stayed here for one night but our experience was wonderful. Staffs were friendly, the room was clean and well-equipped. The courtyard area is nice with chairs and umbrellas and cornhole. Plus, they have free bikes for guests to use for the entire day. Being able to explore the city on a bike was definitely a highlight in our visit.

Enjoyed our stay here! All the staff were great- James was especially friendly and helpful when we needed assistance. The location and room were ideal. The only thing that I feel could be improved were the bed pillows- which can be a very personal thing. For me they felt too thick and a bit lumpy. The bed was great and the rest of the room was nicely furnished. I loved that this property includes complimentary bike rentals for guests. We enjoyed taking the bikes out!

Literally, my hubs and I are both Architects. I always have a complaint about our hotel rooms. This reno was nicely done. The finishes just enough, the couple of issues that are usually issues for me were thought out so well, and the issues that had to have compromises were done well also. Literally the only complaint is that the hangers in the closets were all for shirts, but the Owner could just add some clip hangers for pants and it would have been just right. Excellent reno, please pass that along to your architect/interior designers. We recommend this... close to the beach and quiet at night when we were there at least.

First we were greeted by a friendly face who was very nice. Tye young man explained everything to us about their breakfast in the morning, the bike rental that came with the stay. We only stayed one night because we were just passing through that night but the room was very clean and didn’t have any weird smells. I’d stay there again if I go back to Santa Barbra.

Marina Beach Motel was a great option for staying in Santa Barbara for a reasonable price. The grounds and rooms looked great, and staff was always helpful and friendly. The breakfast had lots of sweet options, but was limited in healthy choices/quality items other than the sweets. My only complaint about the property was that it was very easy to hear neighbors in the next room, especially if they were watching TV.

I had a great stay at the Marina Beach Motel. My kids and I only stayed one night but I would definitely come back again. The rooms are clean and recently updated. All the staff were extremely friendly. We took advantage of the free bike cruisers they offered and rode down the beach path and through the town (State Street, etc). The location was excellent! I highly recommend this motel if you are visiting SB.

The staff was very welcoming, the room was clean and ready. The room was a bit small for 2 people and 2 queen beds, but we didn't spend much time there. The small fridge, microwave & Keruig was much appreciated and used. The ease of renting (free) bikes to ride along the beach was one of my favorite activities. Steps to Sterns Wharf, restaurants and the Art walk on Sunday allowed us to pack in a few last minute activities. Highly recommended.

From the get go, the gentleman who checked us in was super friendly and professional. Our room was EXCELLENT! Very clean and spacious for a party of six, plus a 60 lbs. dog. Breakfast was good! No hot breakfast, more on pastries. They also allow you to use their bikes at no extra cost. I highly recommend this place!

We were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the room was. The rainfall showerhead was wonderful, as well as the jetted, stand-alone tub. Bed was super cozy. One thing that could’ve used a little tlc was the back of the tub. I noticed that it may have been neglected by housekeeping, but everything else was immaculate. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. I’d definitely come here again & also recommend this place to everyone I know. Thank you for the memorable experience!

We enjoyed this renovated motel. The room was lovely, really well-equipped and a great shower. The buffet breakfast was good and the staff friendly. The only downside was the very loud HVAC in the room, which disturbed our sleep. It seemed to come on about once every five minutes for about 30 seconds and it really was loud.

Great choice if you want to be close to the pier and shops and restaurants along Cabrillo Blvd. It's dog friendly which is why we selected it and the dogs loved being close to the Beach. The room was very nice, clean and the bed was comfortable. Wish the bathroom was larger but it's a minor complaint. Will stay again for sure
