Parking felt secure thanks to the bright outdoor lighting that keeps the cars well‑lit throughout the night. The rooms have a great updated look. The only downside was the bathroom — it had a funky odor and didn’t seem as clean as the rest of the space. Great location.

The room was small but so nicely updated. There was parking right by our room. There is no coffee maker in the room, but coffee was provided at the front office. The beach was a block away. Not the typical motel 6. I would stay again.

We had only a one day trip planned and decided to try this location out. We got in late, but the young lady in the front was very nice and when I asked about popular places or things to do she gave amazing recommendations. The parking is tight spaced! We have a suburban so we had to drive very carefully because of how tight it was. This was our first visit to Santa Barbara with kids. We got in late but by first glance in the room it was neat, it would be a very tight space if you have 4 adult people. Other than everything seemed cleaned until I opened the fridge and saw there was someone’s leftover Porto’s and half bottle of wine! Then it made me second guess if they really even cleaned our room! Thankfully we were only there for that night so I didn’t want to go fuss about it. But definitely I will be checking the fridge next time. All in all, it was good for the price and time being.

They definitely didn't have much support but the price was good for being steps to the beach. The location is a 12/10! Walking distance to literally anything you need! Check in was super easy, they even let us check out late at no cost. The ONLY issue is this: since this is a no frills type of place, every “day worker” stays here and hangs out in the back parking lot chatting and having a beer in the evenings. People hanging out talking until 11pm. We stayed on a Thurs so maybe it’s just the weekends, but just people hanging out everywhere. It’s also dog friendly, so be aware lots of dogs on the property. All in all it was great for the price!

The room was clean and the retro was very nice. The distance to the beach was great and the parking was very good as well. But I gotta tell you the best thing there was this woman who I talked to at the hotel on the second day I arrived. The young guy at the desk and a younger female at the desk were not terrible. Impressive I really didn’t feel the interest at all but this other lady and I don’t know her name who was at the front desk was just wonderful. What an excellent personality and what an incredible pleasure to speak with her I so enjoyed her. She made the trip great combined with the other things that I mentioned. I look forward to coming back for my birthday in April this year and spending a couple of days there.

The location was pretty great (with an ocean view), staff was friendly and helpful, and I appreciated the ice machine being readily available. The bed was clean, decorations fun, but we had a dusty bathroom area. We could have used a hook or two on the bathroom wall for towels. And there were no tissues, or place to hang a hand towel. All that aside, I would stay here again. Thank you!

I almost feel bad letting the secret out. What a great spot for a budget weekend getaway to SB! They gave us a free bottle of wine at check in. We had a view of the mountains out our window. It was a nice walk along the beach to the funk zone! And the best part was that we could have our dog stay for free!

bad luck, because I got room next to laundry and several yards from hay way. All night noisy hay way, but all day noisy hay way and laundry.

I have mixed feelings about my stay here. On the positive side, the room was new, nicely decorated, a good size, in a great location, and reasonably priced.
Unfortunately, the check-in experience was very disappointing. My partner has an injury and couldn’t go up stairs, so I asked the front desk attendant if there were any oceanfront rooms on the lower level available or if the hotel had elevators. He was dismissive, giving one-word answers or redirecting the conversation, and it was clear he just wanted to check us in quickly.
Later that evening, since it was already dark and we couldn’t tell where the ocean was, we called to confirm whether the room matched the oceanfront style we paid for. My partner was very polite he also works in hospitality and even mentioned we could contact Expedia, as we booked through them, just to clarify. During the call, the attendant muttered “this is ridiculous,” and later called back saying, “If you’re not happy with the room, you can leave and you’ll get your money back.” This felt very unprofessional and dismissive.
I understand hospitality can be challenging, but reasonable questions should be answered respectfully. We were never rude. I wanted the hotel to be aware of this situation.
