The hotel is in lovely grounds by the River Avon & has lots of parking space. The location is within easy reach by car of Kenilworth, Stoneleigh Abbey, Leamington Spa and Warwick.
The room was quiet and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The swimming pool is a bit small but fine if not many are using it.
Breakfast is a bit expensive if you pay for it separately and a bit early for us, during the week, but there was a good selection in the buffet and menu, although you had to pay extra for some dishes. The dinner was tasty although my fish dish was a bit salty.
The hotel isn't very eco friendly. There were little water bottles in the bedroom & we were given more the second day. I saw a trolley full of them. This is a lot of plastic waste. There is no need for plastic water bottles: wevfilled our own water bottles with water from the bar. Also, although we were encouraged to not discard barely used towels, one of my towels was uneccessarily replaced.

Before I write this review I want not only the non connected reader but, also whoever owns this place that the staff they have are really lovely. That's the good bit!
Unfortunately what I next have to say is more negative. Which to be honest is a shame.
We came here for Farm Fest and to give ourselves time away with each other. So, we paid \"a little extra\" for a nice time. It was actually my wife's Xmas present.
We were allocated room 209. We walked in and both of us said ooo, it's a bit dated. However, let's not be hasty here, I travel the world and there are a lot of \"dated\" hotels.
The very first thing my good lady said was, \"what on earth is that big bump on the bed\". It was nothing. The cleaner just hadn't straightened the quilt out properly. That sorted, we both needed the bathroom. That's when it all started going wrong!
I was first. I immediately noticed that the toilet seat looked bad. Its difficult to know how to describe it. The best way to put it is that (bearing in mind this is a hotel!) no one obviously cared!
Next thing was the water pressure for the sink. It just about came out. You couldn't miss it! So, again, obviously the cleaning staff either don't care or they have reported it and the hotel doesn't? Next thing we noticed was no water glasses. Not a biggy but, unusual.
I took a shower and at the end of the bath saw 2 things. 1 was paint on the bath (again, not a biggie) but, then I saw the public hair! I took lots of photos of our room. Please just as

We had a really nice stay at the hotel was really nice. Bed was very nice and comfy.
Only thing that let our experience down was the breakfast options. Different options of cooked eggs would have been nice instead of just fried egg. Would have preferred some scrambled eggs. The breakfast was okay the food wasn’t overly hot. Staff was very nice and friendly. Parking is limited for the size of the hotel.

Lovely 2 night stay, great value via Expedia. Was in the area for a concert at Warwick Arts, visits to Kenilworth Castle and Stoneleigh and proved ideal location.
Not at all snooty or stuffy like some country hotels.
Clean modern bathroom, comfortable bed, good breakfast, pleasant walks from hotel, well equipped gym.
Lots of hotels in this area, glad we chose this one.

Lovely hotel, the only negative is the bathroom (bath) layout. The ease of getting in and out of the bath with the surrounding boxing I found very unsafe. The step in and out is far too big. Even after using the bath mat provided and the hand rail I still managed to have an accident and I’m a young and fit person. The fact that a sign is on the wall telling people to use the handrail means the hotel must realise this is an issue.

The hotel and facilities are absolutely beautiful. The grounds are well maintained and the rooms modern.

However, we experienced multiple issues with the disorganisation of the hotel and staff. When booking the spa the online booking system didn’t work, I tried to book over the phone and was passed from staff member to staff member and put on hold multiple times. When I finally managed to book, the confirmation email I received revealed the treatments were booked wrong. And it took another load of back and forth to correct.

We had ordered two vegan meals for lunch, one was incorrect and we waited 40 minutes for a replacement. The staff had run out of a few of the cocktails on the already limited menu and once we finally managed to order something they did have, the service was very slow.

When checking into our room, the staff at reception sent us in the wrong direction, so we ended up walking up and down the stairs and across the hotel with very heavy bags. The room was lovely and spacious, but we booked it for 4 people and the sink was blocked, meaning it took a while to drain which was not ideal for so many people using it.

The spa treatments were lovely, the staff were very talented and products used felt of good quality. The facilities were nice and clean.

Overall I would book again, as it is a beautiful hotel, but lacking organisation.

Ruby on reception and we presume the duty manager was able to give us a very good welcome. Room was very good. Shower in the bath was not so easy to use due to the height and width of the bath ledge, but felt it added to the daily workout. Breakfast could have had a better selection but otherwise the cooked food was regularly monitored and topped up. Pool and steam room was also good .Staff generally were very good especially at breakfast.

Incredible place. Couldn't fault much, which is rare. The only thing we struggled with were the swim times for kids as there were strict adult-only sessions. However, staff couldn't have done more - they were attentive, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was nice enough and food from the main evening menu was good. The grounds are lovely and the inside is stunning. So many nice places to sit and relax or eat and drink. Location-wise, the hotel is in the centre of a triangle of places to visit. We chose Warwick for dinner on the first night. Dogs are welcome but this doesn't compromise the cleanliness of the hotel or rooms. We had the most incredible stay. Would definitely recommend and come back.

Only having 1 towel for two people is not ideal. The pillows are not the most comfortable and the temperature in the rooms and the corridors was uncomfortable. The ac in the bedroom didn’t seem to work properly and kept shutting itself off and then blowing out hot air in a room that we were trying to cool down. The kettle took so long to boil that we were showered dressed and out the room before making a drink.

Parking in the main car park was impossible so we ended up in the event centre parking.

Breakfast was okay but I think a premier inn breakfast is better.

I’d stay again if I had to but probably not through choice.

It is a great hotel with good food choice in the Restaurant for both dinner and Breakfast. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The rooms are comfortable clean and have all you need. The Hotel also sits in some wonderful gardens and has Pool and Gym. I have stayed here many times and would always use the hotel when staying in the area.

Our stay overall was excellent, food & service was spot on & my massage in the spa was unreal (& I’ve experienced many).

Only negative I have is our room 340, was right next to the fire door to the lifts and stairs which meant it banged every time someone went through. Also we were woken up by the night staff using the bins at 5am (which would have been 4am if not for the clocks going forward) we were therefore too tired to go down for breakfast which was a shame but we were reimbursed for the cost & an apology was made and room number noted for the noise concern.

Would recommend this hotel, maybe avoid any room next to the lifts & stairs.

Unfortunately I didn't realise there would be so many dogs there, more so with owners that we're inconsiderate. We had a dog wailing and barking from 7pm - 8pm, more of an annoyance than anything, but the same dog was then wailing from 7am - 7.45am on Sunday morning, which was completely inconsiderate, I didn't need to be up at 7am.

Staff, breakfast, location and pool facilities were all outstanding - easily 5-stars.

Overall room experience (3-stars) room size was great and the hotel team kindly accommodated an extra matress. The room we were allocated - 015 - though had a lot of plant noise and was in need of refurbishment (one of the night lights had exposed plastic wires, there was a lot of plant noise - extractor or aircon - especially noticable at night, water took a long time to run hot, toilet seat wasn't fitted straight.)

We reported these items on checkout and were advised that the rooms in the \"new\" wing of the hotel didn't have the same issues. I'd guess from this we were unlucky in allocation.

We'd stay again but only if able to explicitly book/try the \"new\" accommodation.

Lovely cosy room in the original building, nice spacious bathroom (only niggle is that a chair to put clothes on would have been handy).
Comfy bed, nice sheets.
We stay at the Chesford regularly and it's always a reliably good stay. Breakfast is very good and varied. Plenty of gluten free options for our coeliac daughter.
We tried room service this time, easy to order and very tasty chicken burger.
Staying again tomorrow night with dogs, this has previously been very easy, the grounds are fabulous for walks. Overall a great hotel with friendly helpful staff.

There was a bit of a wait at check-in. 3 families checking-in but only one member of staff.

The family room was very large. The main bed was comfortable but the sofa bed had a thin mattress and we had to request another duvet to put on the mattress.

The shower was okay, but not powerful. Nice toiletries.

Breakfast was a standard buffet. Self-service for tea and coffee. The coffee machine was very slow, so there was a queue of guests.

Good location to visit Warwick university.

Would have been nice to know in advance that under 16yrs not allowed int he gym even with adult supervision.

Also if you have an event on please don't put the drunken gangs or very excited teenagers in the same part of the hotel as the other guests as their running up and down the corridor until 1.30am was not welcomed the night before an important business meeting.

Fantastic hotel. Friendly staff though out the stay. Room very clean as was the whole hotel. Bar staff made fabulous cocktails. Breakfast extensive choice, also catered for gluten free & alternative milks available
Only small issue was the swimming pool changing rooms; there was lots of hair on the floor. Also the pool staff need to pay more attention to the guests behaviours, male guest shaving at the side of the pool then using showers to rinse. Future guests need to be made aware of the restricted use of the pool due to swimming lessons.

The hotel looks to be newly refurbished. Our room (447) was very clean and tidy. All furnished and finishes looked new. Bathroom large only small problem was step into bath. I’m only 5 ft so very big step over bath side as slightly too high and wide. Grab handles provided.
We had family room large super king bed the settee made up in to small double. Plenty of electric sockets with USB very useful. Air con worked well and liked complimentary drinks bar in fridge. Very quiet room. Staff all friendly and helpful. Had great evening meal and breakfast plenty of choice.

Great location for Royal Leamington Spa

The only criticism is that the postcode quoted on all correspondence took us to Coventry Road, Kenilworth not Coventry Road, Warwick. We were helped by a lovely couple who pointed us in the right direction. I would suggest the postcode is amended for future visitors. The hotel itself was superb and the staff very welcoming and helpful and a bonus of an on site car park. We visited the bowls event at Royal Leamington Spa and it was perfect for getting to the venue each day as so many closer hotels did not have parking at all.
