When we got to the hotel and checked in at approx. 9pm we were shown to our room only to discover that a tradesman was still working on the tap in the bathroom. He hurriedly tried to clear all his tools and equipment out of the room while the hotel receptionist said \"I'll give you another room\". He said no, i'm just going and so we got put in that room. We went in the bathroom and there was caulking on the floor and the smell made me and my daughter sneeze. The side bath panel had extensive water damage and when I had a shower, water leaked from the shower screen down the side of the bath and onto the floor, creating a very large pool of water. The cold tap in the sink, it didn't matter which way we turned the tap, it didn't fully switch off. The bunk bed in our room, had a couple of slats missing from the top bunk and one of our daughters said she could feel the springs that were in the mattress on the top bunk, so both my daughters slept in the bottom bunk together. There was no hairdryer in the room, there were only 3 mugs in the room for 4 people.

The room was a bit tatty, needs updating and decorating, carpet was stained but clean, large comfortable bed and fridge in room, which was useful. The staff were very helpful, showing me to my room and completing the parking online form to register my car for the carpark. Its a pity the new owners no longer allow dogs in the hotel. I would return if they reviewed their policy.

Chose this hotel as it was in range on the NEC whilst we stayed overnight for Crufts and was very reasonably priced.
Room size was decent, beds were very uncomfortable - could feel every spring and hardly got any sleep. I would have changed rooms but I had seen there were similar reviews about this.
Rooms could be updated as the wallpaper was coming away, there were holes in the carpet, sink taps were a struggle to turn on/off and the lock on the inside seemed a bit worn. The walls were thin and could hear music playing until late (think it turned off around 10pm but couldn't tell as we had the TV playing).

Can't fault free parking and free breakfast. I only grabbed a couple bits as needed to leave early, but the spread looked decent.
The staff were really lovely and accommodating and I liked that it was a 24/7 manned reception as you never know when you'd need something.
Simple amenities such as a water fountain in reception would be a good addition.
Don't think there was a phone in the room to contact reception, unless it was hidden away somewhere.

Overall, basic but very decent for price paid and proximity to major events. Amazing staff but hotel rooms need a revamp. Perhaps bring a thick blanket so you can use the duvet as a mattress topper.

Under very recent new ownership. Very happy to see this hotel back under new ownership. It will clearly quickly get back to reaching the excellent heights of its past ( prior to a disastrous short period of management by the OYO group)
The new owners have by already begun to make significantly great progress with the food back fresh and available in restaurant and bar again. Plus the bar back to good welcoming and inclusive operation again. ( welcoming local customers) . Work is well underway to bring the rooms back to their previous standards. My double was very comfortable and had all I needed. The staff were welcoming helpful and very professional. Very happy to return when next visiting the area.

On arrival was meet with a smile and asked how we were and once checked in was shown to our room and said if we needed anything not to hesitate to ask , The room was very spacious and clean , we didn`t eat there on this occasion but what we could smell coming from the dinning room was amazing . Would happily stay there again .

The room had halls by the skirting boards. The heating wasn't working when we got there but they did put in the a new heater bed was too soft and was a small double not a normal double. Got water took ages to come through to the bathroom. We had 1 chair in the room and a small round table which was just big enough for the kettle and the cups and the chair was a plastic chair. Nothing like the pictures what was shown when booking. We paid for the breakfast but didn't actually get any breakfast wasn't enough enough when we waited for 30 mins and only brought out a plate of about 8 sausages on it. Took a few days to actually get a refund after plenty of phone calls.

Should have been a 0 star but the night staff was amazing. We booked a family of 4 room, arrived at 9.30 pm and the room allocated to us only slept 3 people. Returned to front desk and was given another room..The room was extremely tired. Bunk bed had missing slats and wobbled a lot, so was unsafe to sleep in..taps in bathroom dripped all night. Bathroom definitely need replacing. Disappointing stay all round.

Finding the hotel was difficult. The Google pin it in the middle of the road about 500m away. The hotel must have been recently taken over and doesn't have the right name on it. The room looked clean but the decor/finish isn't very professional. When i booked, through Hotel.com, the hotel information said all rooms have a bathroom, however when my confirmation came through it said my room shared a bathroom. I only slept at the hotel, arriving late after a flight, and left in the morning without getting any food

Arrived to be told no breakfast was being served. Told i would get a refund from hotel and this never happened even though both myself and hotels.com game chased them for this. We came on a Saturday night. Asked about the bar to be told that wasn't open either and they could sell me some take away bottles! We booked the family room - double and 2 single beds. Went in and we had bunk beds. Went to reception to try and changed as we had booked single beds and i had confirmation of this to be told the hotel doesn't have single beds only bunk beds. No curtain in the room only a broken blind. Freezing when we got into room as radiator not on and window open. Mattresses on bunk bed very uncomfortable and i could feel the springs. Very worn out hotel which is such a shame as it has so much potential. The reception staff were lovely and offered us a extra double room free of charge but no point in us doing that with 2 children. Very unhappy that no refund was given for the breakfast. I didn't expect a refund for the whole stay just what we had paid which we didn't get. If you stay here don't pay for parking, you can enter your details in the hotel. No signs saying this outside. I never write bad reviews and gave the hotel the option to contact me regarding the refund to stop me writing reviews but I've been ignored. Massive thanks to hotels.com who communicated very well when we were there and offered compensation even though it wasn't there fault.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at the Warwickshire Park hotel. Staying with my 10 year old and 1 year old. The property is clean, in a nice area however the staff made our stay. Very welcoming and helpfull! Couldnt do enough for you. Will definitely stsy again. Thank you :)

We stayed for one night here to go to the Warwick Uni open day the next morning. Hotel is very conveniently located, only ~15 minutes from the uni and Coventry itself. Check in was easy and staff friendly, and parking is free. Given we paid £10 for the twin room it was incredible value - room was clean and beds comfortable. The breakfast was good with hot food as well as cereal. The points you need to deal with - bar is minimal and no draft drinks and no restaurant so eat before you arrive or go out for food. No toiletries in the bathroom so bring your own shower gel, shampoo etc. Also no live TV, there is streaming services only (which some people have left accounts logged in - thanks Mark). Staff are really friendly and helpful and for the price it’s a bargain! If you want the Ritz stay at the Ritz but this hotel does the job well.

The breakfast was very poor. paper cups for fruit juice and make your own coffee from sachets. We had been told to come earlyish, so did 9 for 10 cut off. The fresh coffee had gone, and wasn't replenished. No bacon, sausage, dregs of mushrooms and tomatoes. Only bacon got eventually replenished, gave up waiting for anything else.
The welcome was fine, although the key card did die within 50 yards and it need need refreshing a couple of times during the stay. Bedroom was adequate and we had a good nights sleep.

The management could not have been more attentive and helpful. The bathroom was spotless and in good working order. The breakfast was great and included gluten free cereal. The parking was free and copious. It was clear the hotel is in new ownership which I was really relieved about after seeing some of the previous reviews. It is a work in progress but it was as convenient as anywhere can be around Birmingham for the NEC and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced and great value stay

We stayed for one night and had a great experience overall. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived – nothing was too much trouble, and they really made us feel welcome.

The price was amazing for what we got, making it excellent value for money. The room was clean and well-equipped, and the children loved having their own bunk beds. That said, the bunk bed mattresses could be a bit more comfortable – they were a little thin – but honestly, it wasn’t a deal breaker at all.

We had a lovely stay and will definitely be back. Highly recommended for families looking for a good-value, friendly place to stay in the area.

I broke down last night and booked this hotel.... Very late arrival after midnight but staff were fantastic, quick check in... Into room and sleep.
Explained circumstances in the morning about what's happened and as in on medication they offered me something to eat and drink so i could take my medication.

As a single disabled woman with a little dog, i have felt safe and comfortable here. The staff are fantastic. The rooms are clean and spacious. The location is quiet and beautiful. The other hotel guests are quiet. There is a lovely atmosphere. I have a bath tub. The grounds are lovely. The outside of the property is stunning and old. Inside is very modern. Huge car park. You do have to pay.... but the vost of stay is such good value... it doesnt matter.

Areas of hotel varied greatly between some clean, bright decor and poor maintenance/repairs and dated room furnishings/carpets. Signal (wi-fi) on room TV very poor. Room light switches dirty/grubby. Curb appeal Kenilworth

The hotel has curb appeal and in a nice affluent area of Kenilworth but room we stayed in was dated and could have been cleaner.
The bathroom was not up to standard (see pictures) although Sheets were fresh and we had a comfortable night sleep.
The staff were pleasant but the adjoining pub had limited options for food/snacks which were of Indian origin. Great if you like Indian food. Plenty of parking outside in carpark with EV charge.

Horrendous customer respect or care.
I arrived at the hotel at almost 1am… room was filthy - dead insects on my duvet, then I was moved to a second room not without attitude from the hotel manager. The 40 odd pictures I am showing you - are of the second ‘clean’ room.
This room cost me £300, and I couldn't stay more than one night and the unprofessional and disinterested staff watched me cry from
exhaustion in my room while doing
Nothing to improve the quality of my stay. I had to leave the hotel the next morning.
Expedia tried to get in touch with the hotel - and they didn't answer the phone
despite being available to do so.
I feel so strongly about this - that as a lawyer i’ve actioned steps as the hotel have broken several sections within several consumer laws.

Just Don’t – Makes Fawlty Towers look like The Ritz.

Wondered what it’s like to star in a low-budget hotel horror comedy, this place rolls out the red carpet.

Once I’d passed the used linen piled up along the corridor...

Room one: clearly still occupied in spirit (and bedsheets) by the previous guest – dirty doesn’t begin to cover it.

Room two: door wouldn’t lock. Reported at 8pm, ignored until 11pm. When I chased the manager, the solution? “Wedge a chair against it.” DIY security while two staff fumbled with battery replacement like it was bomb squad training. Spoiler: it didn’t work.

Room three: bathroom light flickering like a 90's rave, but at least the door locked. Progress!

Thinking of pre-booking breakfast via Expedia? Don’t.

They won’t honour it and when you do eventually get it, it’s an experience.

Stale bread, cold food that a good vet could revive, a tea urn boiling dry in the corner, all whilst you sit in silence, playing “count the cobwebs”. I stuck to cornflakes for safety.

The staff mean well, but it feels like they’re just staying for free board while giving “running a hotel” a try. As for the four stars they claim – I can only assume those were awarded in a parallel universe.

And the cherry on top? The night manager decided 4:15am was the perfect time to hoover right outside my door. When I brought it up the next evening, he just smiled and said, “Oh yes, that was me – it’s on my task list.”...

We booked this hotel as it seemed near to where my uncle's funeral was being held. after driving around for almost an hour we found it. 1st sighting it looked lovely from outside, and once inside it was obvious it is being renovated. The reception desk manned by 2 people who did not appear to know quite what was going on they had me down for 3 bookings (only 2 made) said need to be paid for (was paid by c/c) then told I had already checked in approximately 40 mins prior to my arrival. They had put another guest in our room. Went for a meal in the pub area, on menu 4 choices of curry or a lamb dinner. Choose curry ate it but not hot and not very nice. Breakfast was a farce, no bacon, eggs over cooked, beans n tomatoes cold, Crossoints cold, the next morning was no better. The table where the tea/coffee was served was disgusting very dirty. The 2nd morning there wanted to shower, the drain was it was black muck and clogged with hair the sealant was mouldy, no shower taken only got washed. It is sad to say the 5 star on the door needs to be removed and the kitchen bringing up to standard asap or closing down. The staff have not got a lot of idea what they are doing they all appear to do be doing all types of running it from cleaning, to serving in the bar and food, to reception. They need more staff in all areas bring it up to standard before advertising via 3 areas which makes booking rooms very difficult, and a much better understanding of the English language.

I did not have sufficient detals for the transfer so at 11pm I drove 1hr to Loughborough and fortunately found a room at Premier Inn.

Whilst the bed / room was comfortable, the whole hotel is ready for a much needed make over. The bar had run out of all lagers/ beers , the staff didn’t seem interested in serving at the bar, I had to continually seek someone to serve what drinks they did have. The tea was appalling at breakfast.

Bit of a Mixed Bag

The staff on reception at check in (Jagadeesh?) was fantastic! Super helpful and really supportive. However, my room wasn't properly cleaned at all during my multi-night stay. Coffee / milk etc. not replenished and the towels were not changed. The shower on the Friday morning only produced cold water and I wasn't told the boiler wasn't working (or that it had been fixed by the Saturday morning). Additionally, the breakfast claimed to have vegetarian options, which I asked for at check in, (e.g. veggie sausages), but nothing appeared any morning apart from what was already out for everyone. When I asked the staff on duty they just said (\"there are scrambled eggs and beans!\"). Car parking was ample .

On arrival I checked in 30mins early which was good but on checking into my room, the only window was a skylight as I appeared to be in a dormer king bed. When returning to my room I attempted to shut the window with no luck, so reception came up and he said it was broken but the hotel was full so couldn't offer me another room. The bath ran very slowly making an extremely loud noise which I took a video. On speaking to reception at 9am the gentleman on reception was very apologetic and said he would seek a compensation refund for me but if I could also contact customer services. The phone number for customer service that they messaged just cuts off when you pick option 3 to chat. I am still waiting a refund. Out of the 3 rooms my family booked only 1 was as described. My parents room was a view of a hedge and the window also didn't shut. These are very old windows. Only plus was that the bed was comfy, 2 singles pushed together. The app won't let me upload my photo or video.

I strongly advise against staying at this hotel! As soon as walked in, we encountered numerous issues, including no hot water, a non-functional toilet, and unwashed sheets from previous guests. We vacated the room shortly after entering and requested a refund. Additionally, two other guests were at the front desk, also disputing their rooms and requesting refunds. The manager initially agreed to process our refund through Expedia but later denied all claims, asserting that we were attempting to cancel our accommodation without valid reason. This experience was unprofessional, extremely unpleasant, and the manager's dishonesty and attitude further exacerbated the situation.
When we left the hotel, the other customers there had called the police as the manager was lying and refusing refunds for other guests

This is a truly awful hotel, that looks like it’s being run by people who have no idea what they are doing. Where does one start? Well, having had the misfortune to stay there, my advice would be, to start to look for somewhere else to stay. My room was clean and comfortable, but that’s about it. I’d like to give it zero stars, but that’s not allowed. I’ll give it 1 star, but only because I saw what I think were a pair of partridges on the lawn outside my room. I checked in and had to go back to the reception 3 times, because the keycard wouldn’t open the door to my room. Went to have a meal, the bar had 7 beer pumps on, but only 2 were working. The only choices of food were 5 different curries, mine was probably the worst curry I’ve ever eaten in my life. I’m not surprised they wanted paying, before it had arrived. No starters or deserts, were on offer. At various times I saw what might have been various members of staff hanging around, but equally could have been the mates of the bloke on reception, scruffily dressed, with mobile phones clamped to their ears. Having now read the reviews, I’m glad I didn’t order breakfast there.

Not great, have stayed here before in the newer rooms which were fine. this time i was in an older part above the pub. Room wasn't very clean or well maintained, nor were the corridors or stairs leading to them. The power socket next to bed didn't work.

It was late by the time i got to my room so couldnt be bothered to raise anything with the staff. When i checked out nobody asked if everything was ok, i might have fed the above back but the check in staff seemed fairly harried and disinterested.

When i arrived it took over 30 minutes for my room to be prepared, I wasnt offered a drink or anything, but I was offered to upgrade my room for £20 to £30 as i had booked a shared bathroom. Presumably if the possibility of a room upgrads was there, there were other rooms Icould have been given rather than wait.

We had stayed here previously, but this time left a lot to be desired
Breakfast, sausage so undercooked it oinked
Bacon, fried to a crisp
beans luke warm
Never saw any staff during breakfast
Room was comfortable and clean
A staff member opened the door around 11pm on saturday night, no knock no excuse me, and left it open

For £45 a night it was ok, wouldn't eat there

A basic hotel with a skeleton staff, giving the impression it had just been taken over by new owners. The rooms and bathrooms were dated, suggesting this hotel's heyday was in the 1990s, and need an extensive refurb. The staff were not fluent English speakers and appeared to be learning their jobs. I didn't see any female staff. But all the basics were in place - clean sheets, comfortable bed (my double was actually two singles clipped together and the mattress was smaller than the base!), kettle in room, hot shower and soap available.

Cheap hotel in the middle of nowhere

Despite the name, this hotel is not in Kenilworth, but in Hasely. Nice old building, but difficult to access the bedrooms, which do not have their own bathrooms. My room had not been cleaned when I arrived. Rooms are very sparse, not even a bedside table or lamp. Hotel had the unique combination of the most expensive but worst quality breakfast I've had anywhere.

This property was easy to find.
Was a stop off on way home for one night.
Large room which was clean, with added bonus of a fridge.
Large shower.
Only issue was thevIT system was down and no key for room. After a 5 minute wait for receptionist to call someone( no explanation of this) we were let into the room.
Luckily we were not going out or leaving the room otherwise this would of been an issue!
There was an onsite bar & restaurant, but we did not use these as we had brought some snacks with us.
I would stay again.
Good price for what we needed.

They do appear to clean rooms late as there was dirty linen in corridors but this was removed when I looked later.

Check in was poor - wouldn't allow access to my room until past the check in time - reason given - room not ready!
Bar was poor - only one draught beer and Guinness on tap - despite many more pumps available. Several items on menu (which was limited anyway) were not available.
Room was not as clean as it should have been. Layer of dust on left hand bedside table lamp stand - looked as if it had not been cleaned for days. Music in bar was definitely for the benefit of the staff, not the customer. Very disappointed.

Upon arrival we entered the reception area and found a lady who was unhappy with her room. One of the staff looked past the lady and at me and my partner and rolled his eyes and said “don’t worry about her”. In our first room all of the plaster on the windowsill had blown. The bathroom door did not shut and when we did get it to shut we found that the door face had been stapled on so when we re-opened it the door face got wedged onto the door frame. The shower had a bout 5 streams of water coming out of it and did not suffice at all. We had requested a king bed to which when we arrived we found we had 2 singles pushed together so the join of the 2 mattresses in the middle were very uncomfortable. We complained about the bathroom situation and they came and looked and wanted to re-staple the door again but my partner & I were not happy about this and they moved us rooms however we encountered similar problems in our other room. When we also requested about getting something to eat at around 5:30/6 we were informed we couldn’t have any mains or starters as everything was still pre cooking. The hotel staff were very rude and not professional in the slightest. The hotel has so much potential but with the current ownership it is wasted.

Looked good when booking and looked nice when I got there.

Checked in and room was ok, dated and bathroom had a flicking light.

My major issue was the food - poor menu so I was told so had to order a Thai green curry which came out with hard rice and mushy overdone curry. I asked for a refund, no refund available which is a joke in 2025!! I then had to reorder and was served a microwaved spaghetti bolognese. I know it was microwaved as the lady at reception told me so.

If I knew the food was at this low standard I would have not ordered so I could have gone and got food elsewhere.

This has got to be one of the worst I’ve stayed at in 2 years

Stunningly bad hotel. Food is absolutely atrocious and a disgrace . Staff ignorant and unhelpful at best.
Room is of the drug addict hostel style with random kitchen fridges placed in the room as well as a bed with a mattress that had seen its best by the 1980s. Fire doors haven’t had their hinges oiled this century with the noise from them keeping you awake most of the night. No staff are present most of the time. Powdered scrambled egg for breakfast with out of date yoghurts. All in all, one of the worst examples of a hotel in the U.K.

Not what I paid for!

When you’ve traveled hundreds of miles to a hotel which advertises comfortable double rooms and an in-house restaurant, you don’t expect to arrive and be told on arrival that the kitchen is shut and find the “double” bed is in fact two singles shoved together to create a hard ridge which guarantees a broken and unsatisfactory night’s sleep and then to be faced at breakfast, having paid a kings ransom for it; with dried out, tasteless bacon which was like eating hardboard and “scrambled” egg which was congealed to the point where the choice was one slice or two. A truly awful and dispiriting experience.

Firstly, I want to say that you'd give this property a 4* for the price range, but in the grand scheme of hotels, a $* at this price range is a 3* overall.

The kitchen was closed, with no where to buy any food or drinks.

It looks like most of the property has leaks, judging by water stains and buckets everywhere.

We stayed in room 45 and it was really tiny compared to our family's other room 45A. Considering they had rooms spare, I don't know why this room was offered as it's about half the size of the others, the radiator doesnt turn off, and the room is very very dated.

The larger room we moved to, one floor up, was much larger and better quality, but had windows that must be about 100 years old and let in so much wind.

The TV remotes don't work, the buttons on the TV dont work.

The shower is weak and the whole decor, bar the water damage on the ceiling is dated.

But for the price, it's ample sized, the beds are fine and its quiet with off street parking.
