Nice pool, very clean room, however i ordered a meal in the bar, I think they lost my order of spinach and ricotta ravioli. When I asked, 40 minutes after ordering it came out. The amount was really only starter size and the past was cold in the middle, I was refunded however that night I had terrible diarrhoea.

I was expecting a deluxe room in a 4 star hotel, what I got was a below standard room in need of upgrading. No instructions given by reception staff on check in, just signed paper and was given room keys, once in the \"deluxe\" room I felt let down, the toilet seat was loose, dirty grouting in the shower, we paid for breakfast and that was a joke, no hot food, no plates no glasses, I will not be returning

A shared location with the sports centre - as an EV driver it was very frustrating to see the many charger spaces all taken with non-EVs. I had to go out after the sports centre closed to move onto a charger. Police this better please.

Breakfast was a let down. Buffet style but looked like it had been left out for a while. Coffee from a machine only, which was awful. Very little gluten free options and no signage for allergens.
Was not informed when checking in about the barrier code so when I tried to leave was locked in and took ages for someone to let me out. Room was freezing. Took ages to warm up. Only 1 sugar available for hot drinks in room, really skimped on tea/coffee too. It’s not giving luxury.

It was okay. We’ve stayed here before for work so booked again as the location was ideal. Our room smelt horrendous the whole time. I think there was something wrong with the drains as I heard another family mention that there was something wrong with their toilets overflowing. The stench was pretty bad however, we were literally only just the room to sleep in and with the bathroom door closed the smell stayed in the bathroom. Also could not work out how to turn the bathroom fan off. Not sure if it was just us but it’s pretty loud and pretty annoying at night!

The bar/restaurant is definitely overpriced for the standard. We got 2 burgers and 2 alcoholic drinks and it cost us £51.

Breakfast is your standard buffet breakfast, eggs cooked to order (we didn’t do this but was an option). Everything you could want was on offer including an extensive gluten free section.

There was a lovely man who worked on breakfast both mornings, his customer service was excellent and real credit to the team. We got the vibe that he may have been new to the team, but what a fantastic addition! Much friendlier then the check in girls.

Overall, our stay was average. Would we stay again, yes probably, but I’ll be checking if there are any plumbing issues before I unpack!

Hotel Review – Extremely Disappointed by the Lack of Communication and Guest Welfare

I stayed at The Warwickshire Hotel and Country Club for two nights while travelling for business.
Check in was smooth and the accommodation initially appeared excellent.

However, the stay quickly deteriorated due to repeated power outages and, more importantly, the hotel’s complete lack of communication or concern for its overnight guests.

The first outage occurred during the night, from around 4:00am to 6:30am.
While I understand that unexpected issues can happen, no information or reassurance was provided.

The following afternoon, after returning to my room, I experienced yet another outage lasting roughly an hour.
Being daytime, this was manageable but still concerning.
Later that evening, the situation became unacceptable. From 18:00 until my departure at 7:00am the next morning, the hotel was without power—aside from a brief return around 20:30 that lasted less than an hour.
My room was left in complete darkness, with no running water due to the electric pump system. I was unable to wash or access even the most basic amenities one would reasonably expect from a hotel, let alone a resort of this standard.

What made the experience significantly worse was the total absence of communication from staff. No welfare checks, no updates, no offer of drinking water, and no gesture of goodwill. Guests were simply left to cope on their own.

The room was very clean and tidy. If we wanted extra teas, coffees or milk only had to ask. All the staff were approachable and very friendly. Perfect mid-point in our journey from Preston to Ringwood and our 5 night stay allowed us to visit local areas of interest including Warwick Castle, Leamington Spa and Stratford. We'll certainly be staying at the Warwickshire again.

Happy with the stay. Bed is very comfortable (on the firm side and I prefer that). Only one restaurant on site, not many choices. Food isn’t particularly good, though price is fair. Staffs are absolutely friendly and helpful. Needed to use the changing room after check out, they let us in without any issues.

All ok except flies (live ones) in my shower and bad smell. Breakfast finished way too early (9:30). Wasn’t asked how my stay was at reception and she was a bit bitey as well.
I’d stay here again for work but wouldn’t rush for leisure. It’s ok but there’s much nicer in the world and I would have expected them to care a bit more when I informed them about flies in my shower, that’s pretty grim!

I must have stayed at the Warwickshire 20+ times in the last 2 years. Standards have definitely declined drastically which I’m sad about. Dirty bathroom, smelly drains and not as clean as my previous stays. I waited to be seated in the restaurant for at least 5 mins before venturing into the bar and found that empty also. After ringing the bell on the bar a few times I got served. I’m immediately ordered main meal and dessert. The triple cooked chips weren’t cooked through and still hard. I lwaites several minutes after finishing whatever’s edible of my main and found a member of staff to deliver my dessert. They collected my empty plate while delivering the dessert. My apple pie pastry was still soft and soggy on the bottom. For very basic food on a very quiet night, knead surprised that all of my food was under cooked, especially when it was so slow to arrive.

Lovely room, great location and a beautiful setting. Good facilities—especially the golf—and an enjoyable breakfast. The main downside for us was having no mobile phone signal in our room, despite having three phones on different networks. The Wi-Fi was also a little unreliable. The bar area, while pleasant, was quite lively with children using screens and playing under tables—likely just after swimming lessons had finished—which disrupted the otherwise calm atmosphere. If you’re planning an early, quiet meal, you might prefer to eat elsewhere.

The Warwickshire Hotel and Country Club is a pleasant place to stay with several strong points. The hotel offers plenty of parking, although spaces can become limited at busy times due to spa and gym members also using the facilities. Guests benefit from complimentary use of the gym, which is well equipped with modern, state of the art machines.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable with good bathroom facilities and reliable air conditioning. The showers are strong and the overall cleanliness is well maintained. Electric vehicle charging points are available in the car park and the staff are consistently polite and welcoming.

There are some areas that could be improved. Mobile phone reception is very poor across the site, which leaves guests dependent on the WiFi. Unfortunately, the WiFi is weak and extremely slow, making even basic video streaming difficult. In room televisions only provide standard local channels and are not smart TVs, which feels limited given the standard of the hotel.

Overall the hotel provides a comfortable stay with modern gym facilities and pleasant staff, but improvements to connectivity and in room entertainment would make the experience much stronger.

This is a great place to stay if visiting the area.
Great location, its a short drive to Warwick and Kenilworth castles, and Stoneleigh Abbey. Perfect to nip around as you please.
Clean and spacious rooms, a nice comfy bed, and all the space you need.
Really nice bathrooms, for some reason overlooked in some hotels. It was clean with a large and very nice walk in shower (a very nice shower gel and conditioner provided)

However, don't pay for breakfast. It really was the big letdown.
Having recently stayed at another hotel for a similar price, the break was a meek offering of some cerals and a small offering of cooked options to pick from.
1 member of staff unenthusiasically, let us know what food was where and that was it.

Having recently spent a similar amount of money at a hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon, it was clear that this place has a lot to learn on the breakfast front.

Breakfast was absolutely fine but not a huge choice and some items had run out by 9am and didn’t appear to being replaced. Would recommend especially if a golfer. Swimming pool closing mid August for some refurbishment.

Excellent out of town venue for relatives attending Warwick University Graduation ceremonies. Clean rooms, excellent beds and good bathrooms. Average breakfast but helpful service.

It’s a really busy spa and sports club with lots of children attending (start of summer holidays) but we never got chance to try the facilities as we were at the Uni. Not cheap but excellent parking and good security.

Our only problem was very poor Wifi in our room and when it rained reception had no umbrellas to loan out

The hotel title is misleading

Overall the hotel is fine but it is definitely more of a leisure / golf destination first than a hotel. The facilities are good. The golf course looks amazing. The view from the restuarant /terrace is stunning.

However we were allocated four rooms - three were fine but one looked out over the hotel's dirty laundry area - which was rammed with dirty laundry and laundry cages up against the window - we have never experienced a view like that before in a hotel. Such a shame as it did dampen the whole experience. We did speak to the hotel reception but they were not particularly receptive to the feedback. They said if we had complained earlier they would have moved us - but then why allocate such a bad room in the first place? Our advice is don't stay here if you are expecting a 4* hotel experience and if you are allocated room 14 then ask to be moved.

Only thing to note, is that the staff do not readily offer information e.g. simple reception info like where the wifi code is, what time the pool opens and closes, what time breakfast is/and where - or reminder of the exit code. No one serving at breakfast or letting you know you can order different eggs from then already laid out buffet.

They were helpful and really nice when asked, but a bit of a chore when you go to leave and have to go back to get the carpark code. It's actually written on the keycard envelope, but i handed that in so didn't have it. Prob more my fault than anything. Maybe just a training issue I think, but all good, and would deffo stay again.

Was an amazing break, some idiot decided it was funny banging hard on everyone's door at 1:30am (that hard that it sounded like the door was going to come in) which then made my wife unable to sleep for the rest of the evening as it worried her, not the hotels fault at all but it did ruin the stay as my wife was too tired to enjoy the following day! that was the only negative I could give

Room was v comfortable and exactly suited to our needs. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. Bit disappointed that the restaurant was not available on either night of our stay plus the easter roast was cancelled due to demand, that shouldn't be the case.
Pool availability was fine, we had a great couple of days playing and swimming in the pool. Even took time iut in the jacuzzi and steam room

The Spa was spacious, well kept and with a good layout. child restrictions worked well for us. Breakfast was very enjoyable with a good selection. Our room was comfortable with good decor and artwork. The walk in shower was very welcome although the water could have been a little hotter. We booked a deluxe room with a golf view but as we were on the ground floor the view was restricted by the car park. The only thing missing from the room was a safe for our valuables when we were using the spa. All in all we enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

As a hotel guest dont expect to have to que behind gym customers. One member of staff in the restaurant at breakfast was very friendly. Because of Heath club the facilities are overcrowded. One of the bars appears to support remote workers. The other health club members. This is a health club with hotel rooms attached. The driver here is the health club. And there are unique rules. You may need read or use a laptop iPad or iPhone in the pool area as they are afraid of picture taking. That was a first for me. Weird

It’s a pleasant hotel where the rooms feel modern and clean. Was very frustrating to be denied access to the main car park as it was full of guests at an event. I needed to charge my car in the main car park but this was refused and I was advised I could always move my car later once the event was over.

we booked the fireworks night which was great but the hotel on booking the accommodation did not explain very well ,as we understood the outside catering was not included and the food on sale from the hotel was very very poor.
I feel there should have been a a small choice of bar food for those of us that did not want their evening meal in a bun .Im sure there was enough staff in the kitchen to do that as the out side food was not good .

Booked this hotel for golf, 7 days prior to our stay they me that the golf club is closed due to fireworks. I still had to call Miguel due to the nature of the non refundable option.
The extractor fan in the room does not switch off so noise all throughout the night and apparently all the rooms are the same as it was a design fault.
Coffee machines were down, so again a little disappointed.
This hotel has such potential but I would suggest the people who are running it, don’t stay in hotels and really understand the attention to detail.
