Don't expect hot water!

This hotel has about 100 rooms and only about 5 with hot water, and they don't advise the room they check you into doesn't have it until after you are checked in and complain about it to the front desk.

After I complained they said oh we could move you to a room with it.

When I spoke with the manager he said he advises all guests before check in that they don't have it, however I was not advised and super upset when I went to have a shower.

Again after I complained they did move me a room with it, but it definitely wasn't as nice of a room.

I'm in Cebu on Business for a week. I had to cut my stay at this hotel because the place was not very inviting. The handles in the showers were falling off. Then I was late in the meeting because when I was about to take a shower the entire hotel ran out of water because of a broken pipe. There was no advice about the repairs, I only found out when I was in the shower and no water came out. The staff was good but they can only do so much. The hotel needs a lot of improvement and renovation.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was filled with antiques. It’s just sad that this hotel seemed to have less guest and some restaurants/ bars are not functioning.
The hall way looks like a hospital hall way. Very sad and scary.
But, we did enjoy since we could avoid the crowd and noisiness of the city.
It was relaxing. We could use the pool all by ourselves too.

Unfortunately, not too much items to choose from the menu since they don’t have enough ingredients in the kitchen.

I booked the hotel for my whole family back in the Philippines. They said, the room is clean and big but the AC was inside the bathroom which they can't understand. My nieces and nephews enjoyed the pool. I thought the breakfast was for free for everyone registered as occupants and a buffet. But they have to pay for the kids breakfast, 200 per person additional and was not a buffet breakfast. The staff were friendly though.

On arrival the fridge was old and dilapidated then the sink blocked up and when that was fixed water was running out of the tap joints. I asked for a room change and was given one. Better room but it is an average hotel

Not a really good experience.

We stayed there for 3 days. Bathroom showers is not working there's no flush in the CR TV is not working also. We called there maintenance several times but there is no action so we need to go to the reception and tell them again the issue of our room and nobody is helping us. Breakfast is good but you need to repeat yourself over and over again so you can get your order right. We are having a hard time to checkout because they lost all of our bills so we need to wait for an hours for them to fix. Poor customer service.

Restaurant is cheap with good customer service

The hotel room was dirty, we were given a room where there were still used towels left and worse is there was a man's underwear left hanging from the door of the CR. Although they transferred us to another room but the first room was traumatic. but i would like to commend the restaurant staff they were all friendly and accommodating.

When we came for chek in... so difficult to vive us key of the room cause wd don't have printed voucher...even we whown our tablet ... they finished to accept we send later on mail...when wd'l have wi.fi... they give us room without window and no city view.... we didn't accept it and shown the site description... then they upgraded on beautifull room with very nice room on mountains and balcony..

Absolutely horrendous! Booked two \"deluxe room\" nights through Expedia. Prices went up right at check out for no reason. Room did NOT look anything like the photo! Spoke to guest services, they offered another room which looked pretty much the same (except it had a tub instead of shower). Our bed sheets had all sorts of weird stains on it including very visible (even in dim light) shoe prints and BLOOD. Had them changed and still found blood on the new sheets! We stayed the first night cause it was so late already. We tried to cancel the second night and explained that THERE'S BLOOD on our bed sheets that's not ours. They didn't even look surprised nor did they apologize. Told us we had to cancel it through Expedia; Expedia tried to sort it out with them but they apparently didn't receive the cancelation email Expedia sent so I'm not even sure if we will get our money back. No WiFi in the rooms - only in the lobby. This place is far from a main square.

Not a good attitude by the Receptionist

We were very dissapointed with the room,... the lack of clenliness and worst of all... the attitude of the Receptionist ( that night ) We arrived from Australia,... with only a wallet filled of 500 and 1000PHP notes... I asked the rude receptionist for change so I could give a tip to the Porter... she told me that she had no change..... but about half an hour later, I took my family to the Restaurant in the same Hotel... and when we finished eating,... I gave the waiter some money... and he went to the rude receptionist and she gave him change..... We were discusted by her unpleasant attitude... ( she could give him change but had no change for me,... so I could not tip the Porter.... )

Bad experience. No wifi in the room, not nice interior, very oldfashioned and not in a good condition. No breakfastbuffet and no discount for little kids. 3 and 5 must pay the same charge for the breakfast. all i all very poor. Its only a bad memory of a crown regency. Forget it.

Beautifully appointed hotel in need of help!

The Crown Regency Hotel located in the Guadalupe area of Cebu was undoubtedly once a very fine hotel. However, over the years features like plumbing upgrades are obvious. I was moved to a second room because of mice my room. I was moved from this second room because the toilet would not flush. A third room was assigned but it failed terribly because of a leaky toilet which allowed a never ending puddle of water to remain in the center of the bathroom floor. The hot water did not work in either face bowl which meant bending over to get water from the bath tub for hot water whenever I wished to wash my face and hands.

The last straw was finding 2 mice in my room on my last day there. I complained to the management who seemed unconcerned as if the mice were part of the hotel accommodations. There was also a mouse in the first room assigned to me.

Two of the rooms I stayed in were heavily populated with large black ants that had established a well used trail that ran across the room just beneath the ceiling.

Most of what other tourists' complaints who stayed here are CERTAINLY true. This place is like a haunted house with angels walking around because of the nice staff, although some receptionists are young and inexperienced so yeah, shout out to the owner. The rates don't fit the current condition of the rooms. It certainly was an interesting hotel during its time, probably few years upon opening but just like any other facilities, it needs reconstruction. The swimming pool is VERY DIRTY that I didn't bother dipping a finger in it. No Wifi in rooms, no coffee/tea maker in the room, VERY DIRTY baths; I felt like I will just pick up dirt if I will use it. NEVER COME BACK unless the owner will repair the entire building. The only good about it are the friendly staff, nice food and accessibility to roam around the city.

My sixteen days in the Crown Regency Hotel, Cebu

The entire staff is very nice, polite and efficient. My room was clean and comfortable.

The restaurant is staffed with friendly, yet professional people that always seem to be smiling for some reason.

The pool and Jacuzzi are filled with sparkling water, and cleaned daily.

Promised a bit more than it actually delivered

When I checked out the blurbs and the pics on the internet I got the distinct impression, for a hotel that markets itself as a three star facility, that it was a really nice place, modern etc. I was somewhat underwhelmed when I got there. The hotel gave the distinct impression of having seen better days and appeared a bit rundown. The room, while spacious enough, was inadequately lit. There is no light over the mirror in the bathroom so shaving was out of the question and I imagine women would find it difficult to apply make-up using it. The air conditioning unit was noisy and kept me awake all night, despite being on the \"low cool\" setting. There's a large pane of glass where a window that could open should have been and there was also no drapes in front of it. There was, instead, two long sheets of....tapestry, I suppose one could call them, secured at the top by strips of velcro, so it was a case of yanking them down or leaving them in place. Yanking them didn't seem like an option so I left them in place. Wifi is only available in the lobby and dining rooms and none in the rooms. There's no wired internet access in the rooms, either.

Staff that make you feel happy inside

I stayed at this hotel on two occasions for a holiday with friends over the last month, spending a total of 7 nights here. The staff were incredibly accommodating and they went above and beyond with several of the requests we made. I feel that we were quite demanding customers at times (we stayed as a group of five young people) but the front desk, hotel manager and kitchen staff fulfilled every single one of them with a huge smile. I even lost a mobile phone at a bar in Cebu and the front desk staff helped me by repeatedly trying to call the bar for me until they made contact to see if it had been handed in. We thought the room service was excellent and the menu prices were good too.

The only constructive feedback we would like to give is directed not at the staff but rather at the owners of the hotel. We felt that for the current price, the furnishing of the rooms and particularly the bathrooms need some attention. I think the hotel owners really need to spend some money on some large scale upgrades which are overdue - otherwise they should drop the room rates.

Great Service, Not quite up to par in other areas

The ladies who worked there were friendly, of course. However, they were inexpereined and slow. For instance at the restaurant, getting a bill for something simple like a can of juice took over a minute. Checking in was a hassle. They couldn't look me up by my name, I had to go in my phone and email them my expedia it itinerary. Why?
The food looked ok. Every morning at the free breakfast buffet there were eggshells in the eggs. Every. Morning. I know it was free,., but come on.
The airport shuttle wasn't free. Which is ridiculous. You do not charge people who stay at your hotel to get a ride to the airport after checking out. 1200 PHP and a taxi is only 300. Not only did they charge more, but four times the amount of a taxi.
Box t.v.s. its 2015.... box t.v.s shouldn't even exist anymore. Come on.
The ad boasted wifi, but it only worked in the lobby!

Penthouse (Breath Taking)

I booked this hotel last minute because I lost my reservation due to weather. Somehow by mistake I booked a deluxe room instead of presidential suite and was very disappointed on both rooms; pictures can be very deceiving. Honestly, the only room worth staying in this hotel is the penthouse in which I did in the end, the room was breath taking. It was not very expensive and you get more than what you ask for; I was very surprised and lived like a king, very luxurious and antique. The service was great but at times they were little slow, but overall they were very kind and helpful. I was little disappointed in the area but the hotel is safe and secured. Swimming pool is very tiny is more for relaxation. I would only come back for the penthouse only.

Ordinary hotel with window ac. They are putting agent reservation customers in seperated rooms away from the main hotel. Difficult for taxi to find specially other hotels with same name. The reception ppl were nice and they help in changing the damaged refreg.

This hotel is a FAKE. Its staff are totally useless and lie! I have now asked for the GM details 7times, YES 7 times, and they dont have an email address or contact number!!. I have emailed their reservation number to provide my feedback to someone \"on charge\" yet, even on the reservation email, which surely by the lack of response, loose so much business as no one has the decenty to return a response. On this basis, and I am a frequest traveller who has provided a number of excellent rating for s Hotels in Manila namely the New World Hotel, I would not even breath the Crown Regency in the same manner. A TRUELY HORRIFYING SERVICE FOR MY WIFE AND YOUNG SON.......STAY CLEAR OF THIS HOTEL......AND I AM YET TO RECEIVE ANY ACKNOWLEDGMENT OR RESPONSE TO MY FEEDBACK....TAKE THEM OFF YOUR WEBSITE.........

We had to be moved three (3) times in one day. The very first day. The first room the sliding doors did not lock; with a 18 months old that's unacceptable. The second room leaked water from somewhere,like maybe toilet water. Then we were moved to the \"Presidential Suite\",through the diligence of the general manager, after telling him that I would like to be moved to the Towers at Robinson! But that room had seen its day! But again I was tired of traveling from Boston to Cebu,and after all Mr. Doie tried his best with what he had. But we will never book another room there in V Rama Guadalupe again! Thank you.

Be Careful What You Ask For

We arrived at Cebu by fast 2Go Ferry and transferred to Crown Regency. It was older style hotel with 2 busloads of high school students arriving at same time. Staff quickly attended to our check in and we were taken to our room immediately. The beds were big and comfortable but the bathroom water was COLD. The Air Conditioner froze up and water was leaking into the room. When l asked Reception for hot shower, shortly after, a service man came to the room and restored the hot water system to maximum Hot 80deg. Unfortunately the water was too hot to shower, but l found the water heater andy l adjusted water temperature. Next night at 8.30pm, night manager, engineer and assistant arrived with replacement air conditioner. As we were sleeping we asked him to come back the following morning. Despite my request, engineer and assistant came into the room, leaving outside door open for all to see my partner still asleep in bed. Not happy with this, l told them to leave, and eventually they got the message. Next day when they arrived, they seemed to understand English a lot better. Room Service and Restaurant food was excellent, and set breakfast was simple but enjoyable. After our experience, we were contacted by duty manager and we had free shuttle bus service to and from City and Air port, with promise of room upgrade on our next vist!

Pictures on the internet where very convincing but i was disappointed with how the room was set up & the toilet as well. There was not enough lightings in the room as well as the bathroom. The door is not as safe as other hotels are. Security wise i am not sure if i am well secured to sleep at night.

It's relatively clean; staff is very friendly and helpful; breakfast is included; food is fine but not great; location is a little off the main line so you'll be paying for taxis to take you anywhere; wifi only works in the lobby and dining room but they don't mind if you camp out there for hours on end.
All in all, good value for the money, but nothing great. And you could do a lot worse and pay more.

The hotel is not bad, only its far from the airport. Suggestions to the management, they should check what supposed to be changed or clean in the room. For exanple the chairs, bed skirts should be washed and change the towels to new one. Over all, staffs are very polite.

when you see the pics it was great, but when you get there it was completly different. The pool was so dirty you couldnt see 3 feet into it, so if your looking to swim i would not go there....The manager was the only one there worth talking to, the entire staff (other than the manager) was rude and only cared on how much the could charge you for their mistakes.....Watch out for this hotel.....I would never recomend this place to anyone.....

\"Dancing Ra(t)scal\" at CrownRegencyResidencesCebu

While taking an early lunch with my quests (with also my sister, who went to Cebu also for a vacation, who is a Travel Coordinator of a San Diego Cal Firm) at the hotels' restuarant, a scurring rat (mind you ,a rat) ran across the floor to the other side of room to the disbelief of my group. My sister instinctively yelled at the top of her voice like as if seeing a ghost. The manager, a Mr. Danny, approached our table (the place was empty & htere were only five of us there) and inquired about the commotion. We told him about the \"Dancing Ra(t)scal\" that greeted us for lunch.
The condition and upkeep of the hotel, to me, needs a serious consideration. Take for example their swimming pool. They claim that it is a heated pool. It is not. The pool stench. I ask an attendant when was the last time they replaced the pool water, he just smiled at me and turn back and went on his \"merry way\". When we up-graded our room to a penthouse, the TV's in the bedrooms don't work. Faucet screws fell out from its sockets. Doorknobs can lock you in. I got locked in the master bedroom bathroom for almost 30 minutes after a screw from the doorknob came loose and the doorknob got stucked.

Altho' the pent-house was such a great room to stay, what with those two huge beautiful bedrooms and the grand beds, those large sculpture objects like the \"Last Supper\", the floorings and the walls, they were all made of hard wood. It has its negative points tho' like roaches. They're to be reckon with.

hotel management is very bad. one of the worse hotel i have seen in my 37 years travelling .

The room was old and very noisy from night club loated on the same floor, people were going and coming even from out side the hotel. After two days stay, a group 50 students from university located in Manila , occupied the rooms adjoining to my room, very noisy whole night , students walking and singing in the coridor , I reported 7 times to duty night manager , then he sent guard to stand near my room but guard did not tell student to stop noise. I called the police. Polie came after I made 10 complaints to them.The noise stopped for a while. when police left , the noise again started. I and my wife could not sleep for two days .Next day I reported to day manager and also spoke to vice persident of the hotel management .In the evening they transfered to another hotel.the room was very noisy again , I told staff to stop noise otherwise I would call police After 12.30 am morning , the noise was stopped.The staff at the reception were rude when check out .they did not help us to bring our luggage down to reception from room.Very bad hotel and bad staff.

BUFFET BREAKFAST?!

I was shocked at the quality of the room we stayed. It's old and bare. The walls have cracks. The a/c is not working well. When we ask for a bucket of ice, the first request arrived 40minutes later. When we requested for another one, it didn't arrived at all. This is a bad choice of hotel if you have a connecting flight to another city or country since this hotel is located 1 hour away from the airport. When we went downstairs, we were shocked that the buffet breakfast is nowhere to be found. We were told to order from the menu and that's it. We didn't get what we paid for. We will never go back to this property again unless they made changes to their hotel walls and services.
