This is a special property! The location is spectacular and SO quiet at the very edge of Puerto Calera. The rooms are modern and immaculate and the staff is friendly and efficient. The activities are mostly self directed (no group ones) and there is lovely live music entertainment each night. Resto options are fewer than most other Secrets we’ve been too but the food was excellent—fresh, healthy and delicious. We were grateful for all inclusive as without a car, we’d have to walk or taxi to Calera for meals and shopping otherwise. The perfect peaceful escape on the island.

The hotel staff and building are excellent; the location is remote so be prepared to walk 15 minutes to the harbour if not staying half/full board. That remoteness is part of the charm of why people stay here.
The hotel is well maintained and all the staff are very helpful and multi-lingual, and the evening entertainment is good. Remember that this is an adults only hotel so the entertainment is aimed at a certain age.

The main pool bar and restaurant was being renovated during our stay. Some guests were advised by their travel agent up front . We were not informed. I contacted Expedia during my stay but have been told that there is nothing they can do. The hotel is a five star which I particularly have been looking at for a while and finally booked as part of a significant birthday celebration. The hotel is beautiful to look at but has no soul. It’s like a library. I wasn’t looking for the equivalent to a beach club but I was looking for a bit of life and fun. This had none. The lack of life combined with the drilling and banging of the renovation round the pool has made this a very disappointing stay. Unless you want the ultimate in peace and quiet I would not recommend the hotel

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Everything was great from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and always willing to help, which made a big difference to our experience.

The food was very good, with a nice variety and great quality. The spa was also wonderful, very relaxing and well equipped, making it a perfect place to unwind.

We also really enjoyed the cocktails at the bar, which were delicious and well prepared.

Overall, we truly loved our stay, felt very comfortable throughout, and would definitely recommend this hotel. We would happily come back again.

Overall this was a very nice holiday. The hotel is beautiful and very relaxing with no issues over getting sunloungers, food or drinks. Drinks were nice and bed was very comfy. The range of activities was also wonderful (eg cocktail making classes). The spa was fantastic - well worth a visit.

Staff were hit and miss. Some staff were fantastic such as neomi (entertainment team - she went above and beyond and just exuded good vibes) and harsh in reception. However, i witnessed a few incidents where other staff were rude to guests which is not expected in any hotel let alone one in this price bracket.

Unfortunately some facilities were being renovated during my stay (restaurants and bar) which meant the serenity was intereupted with the noise of power tools. It would have been nice had the hotel communicated this to be before check in.

The seafood restaurant was fabulous and the staff there were great (particularly Ana and Valentine). However the buffet restaurant's food was mid and id hope for more given the holiday price.

Overall this was a lovely holiday, although for the price i wouldnt return as there are hotels in greece (and likely other countries too) that are better value and equally luxurious.

Secrets Lanzarote is a lovely hotel, very clean, quiet and comfortable.
Plenty of sun beds and places to sit in the sun.
Lovely food - even the buffet option.
Drinks are 10/10 even the alcohol free ones.
Evening entertainment is very good.
Coffee shop is wonderful with many options.
Italian and the grill are our favourite a la carte options. Staff are all friendly in the restaurants and around the hotel.
Isabel at the Italian was very friendly and remembered us as returning customers.
My second stay here did not disappoint, I will return again next year.

This is a beautiful resort with excellent customer service. The grounds are immaculate, and our room was lovely. We were upgraded to an ocean view, which was amazing. We chose to do the bed and breakfast option, for we had to work during the week, and I am glad we did for this isn't really a "drink all day" vibe. We had access to the preferred breakfast restaurant and the lounge which we made great use of. The only thing lacking was energy. I have been to secrets resorts in Mexico and they were so much fun. This resort was quite snoozy for us (31, and 32). It was mostly couples 45+, so keep this in mind if you want to go all inclusive and have a more upbeat vibe with more activities. The music by the preferred pool was very quiet and mellow, and the preferred lounge was so quiet you could hear a pin drop - some music would be nice to make the lounge feel more welcoming.

We’ve just returned from a 7-night stay at Secrets Lanzarote Resort & Spa and it was an absolutely fantastic experience.

The hotel itself is beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly suited for a relaxing getaway. As a vegan couple, we were especially pleased to find dedicated vegan menu options, which made dining easy and enjoyable throughout our stay.

Puerto Calero, just nearby, is a lovely marina area with great scenery and a calm atmosphere — perfect for a stroll or a sunset drink.

We did have a small room service issue during our stay, but once we raised it, the team handled it promptly and professionally.

Being an adults-only resort makes it ideal for couples looking to unwind, and the nightly shows provide great entertainment without disrupting the tranquil atmosphere.

We would definitely recommend Secrets Lanzarote Resort & Spa for couples seeking relaxation, great service, and a memorable stay.

Rien à redire, tout était top. Dommage que les piscines ferment à 18h et qu il y ait une différence entre ceux qui font partie du club "prefered" et qui ont accès à des bars et que ce ne soient pas le cas pour les autres. Les tarifs sont assez élevés pour ne pas avoir droit à la totalité du domaine.

I would say the best part of this resort is the food. The quality and choice is amazing both at the buffet and in the specialty restaurants. The full stay pass for the Spa was well worth it as the outdoor pool although heated were a bit too cold for us. The staff was really nice and helpful throughout the hotel.

Hotel was shabby and tired and desperately in need of maintenance but staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us an upgrade to a sea view room.

Towels and bathrobes were almost threadbare, hotel leaked (was heavy rain but still expect more from a five star).

There were towels and buckets on the floor (inside the hotel) collecting rainwater.
Some of the restaurants remained closed during our stay so needed to go out for variety - thank goodness we didn't go all-inclusive!

Many of the lights outside were not on so care was needed when walking around the grounds. Bar staff were slow on occasions and got our drinks wrong several times in an evening eventhough it was very quiet.

My wife and I went here for our 10th year wedding anniversary, a well deserved treat for my wife.

Was definitely impressed by pretty much everything they had from staff friendliness to the amenities, facilities they had as well as the view. Amazing.

We got the preferred club package all inclusive, so had black card to allow us unlimited food and drink to all restaurants and cafes there.

Only two negatives that we noticed was

1. that the 1st time you get food at a particular restaurant they give you a fantastic service , i.e. fast, and good food presentation, but the 2nd time you go there - then not so great.

This seems to be a trend for all restaurants they have.

2. evening entertainment is fantastic but only available for 1 hr.

could be longer.

Truly fantastic stay, the room upgrade was a welcome surprise. Every single member of staff was friendly and welcoming. The a la carte breakfast menu in the preferred area was extensive and the food was cooked to perfection everyday. Minor areas for improvement would be the location of the smoking area near the preferred outside space, it was a little too close to some of the sun beds. The mattress was also a little too firm for us, although we realise this is a personal preference. Otherwise we would not change a thing, one of the best hotels we have stayed in so we will return at some point.

It was a lovely hotel but there were a few things they could improve on... more No Smoking/Vaping signs around the pool area, staff did not enforce this. The pools were quite chilly even with the warm weather, there were plenty of sunbeds to go around!

There is no shop / boutique within the hotel but the Marina is a 10 min walk, if you’re not all inclusive there are quite a few places to go to eat & drink. There are a cats on the complex but they don't go into the hotel building. If you’re after a room with a view then stay away from room 626 as the only thing to see is the tree right outside the balcony!

The food was excellent, I am a fussy eater but had no issues here, this is the best buffet I’ve every been to (only one niggle was the poached eggs at breakfast were cooked too quickly and therefore too raw for me). We only stayed for a week so not sure if the selection repeats in the second week or not. There was a wedding on when we were there but we weren’t informed the Sports Bar would be closed off for the evening.

There is the Ocean Restaurant underneath the “Preferred” pool bar, it’s a hidden gem and also for All Inclusive guests, we had a wonderful lunch there.

The staff could do with better uniforms, some looked very tired, cheap and ill fitting, not what you expect from a Hyatt Hotel.

In addition to allergens being clearly labelled on all food, All staff went over and above to help support dietary requirements.

Overall, it was a decent stay at Secrets Lanzarote.

We were upgraded to an Ocean View suite (we had booked a Partial Ocean view suite) and it was well maintained and good in size. The bed was comfortable, the shower hot with good pressure, all the expected amenities were included (robe, slippers, plenty of towels, hairdryer, mirror, wardrobes, safe etc.) and there were also two large televisions. Unfortunately, there was a horrible sewage smell from the toilet which we asked to be looked at multiple times during the stay but ultimately had to just put up with it. And whilst the minibar should have been restocked every day as part of the price of the room, we had to request this each day.

The service was both good and bad in parts, depending on the staff member. Some were terribly unhelpful (borderline rude) and others were absolutely wonderful. Konte, in particular, offered the warmest of welcomes and gave us a lovely tour of the resort. The spa staff were absolutely amazing and we really enjoyed spending the day there as well as our massages. The serving and reception staff, however, were less helpful.

The food left a bit to be desired, however, and I'm very glad we didn't go half or full board. We tried Oceana, the world buffet and Portofino, and all were disappointing. They weren't terrible, but run of the mill food, not much flavour and prices that were far higher than the quality.

A little beach time before Madrid!

Beautiful hotel, comfortable and clean rooms. Breakfast was delicious and drinks were fantastic. We are fans of the Mango Mojotos! We stayed at the Preferred section (which for those who can should stay at)-we literally checked in and unplugged. No thought about what was covered and what wasn’t. There are parts that are starting to show some wear but the staff was accommodating and gracious about everything. We walked to the marina area nearby and down the trail along the coast and it was beautiful. Highly recommend for a quick gaunt from Europe.

A week in spring

An excellent holiday. Beautiful resort with spa and lots of restaurants. We enjoyed our suite with great service and beautiful views. Lovely food and great service.

Half-board buffet food very disappointing

We loved the hotel and its location and the service was excellent throughout (especially Jose on the desk and Paloma in the World Cafe). What will prevent us from coming again or recommending the place however was that although the breakfast choice was excellent the buffet food for dinner that we'd paid dearly for on half board was not four star at all but three star at best. There was never enough fish or other choices for non-meat eaters and the choices were too repetitive, especially the overcooked vegetables. It got to the point where we paid extra to eat out or in the (excellent) Oceania, or the not great Portofino with its processed sauces (which were not specially made). On our last night we planned a special farewell dinner back in Oceania and were gutted to find that it was closed, although no one had advised us of that. We ended up having a soggy room service pizza rather than face the buffet again. Our entire week-long trip with flights cost us almost £4,000 and, frankly, the food did not live up to the cost. Disappointing.

Blue water grill fab steaks. Pools wonderful (smaller ones warmer). Don’t book standard double if want a view other than carpark-disappointing start but rest was wonderful
