The staff was nice and the main lobby area was very clean and indicative of a 4 Star hotel. However, the pool area could definitely use some updating and the rooms were uncomfortable.
The pool area could definitely use updating a deep cleaning. The area just looks worn out and like it hasn’t been deep cleaned or updated in quite some time. The pool side bar is nice. The pool chairs are not very comfortable.
The rooms are very bare. There are no dressers or really anywhere to put you clothes other than a couple of bars for hanging clothes and a shelf or two. The sheets are very basic and not comfortable. We had a family room and the front room had a couch and a chair that were the cheapest and most uncomfortable pieces of furniture I’ve over seen in a “4 star” hotel.
The breakfast, however, was spectacular. It was an amazing spread and had enough space to seat the large number of guests that showed up. There was bread, pastries, eggs, meats, cereals, yogurts and more. The breakfast definitely was the star of the show.
Overall, if you are just looking for a place to drop your bags and hit the town, then come back and sleep before the next day, this place is fine. It is not a place that I would expect to spend much time around the hotel, other than hanging by the pool for a bit.

Perfect location - very walkable. We were in room 903 on the top floor. Overall room was nice. Few issues: the tv in the room didn’t work - had no channels - everytime we returned to the room and put the card in the switch it was displaying an error message of “no programados” so the staff there were aware it was not working and did nothing about it. Light switches were a bit confusing and there wasn’t enough plug sockets in the room to be practical. Balcony and views from it were lovely. Bathroom could do with a non slip bathmat in the shower as the floor gets very slippy in there and a taller person would hit their knees on the sink every time they use the toilet. We did also have the maid walk in 3 times on our day of departure. Appreciate they were anxious to clean the room for the next guest but we were very clearly packing our bags to leave the first two times she came in.

Pros: Hotel is good and in generally decent condition. Great location. Reasonable priced food and drink. Many thanks for the bottle of wine! Pool is great and there are sufficient sun loungers, even for late risers. Only a short walk to the beach, shops and strip.

Cons: Check in is still shambolic and takes forever. Rooms not available, even after 3pm.

Went Mild in Maga…

A weekend in Maga for my birthday… I stayed in this hotel a couple of years ago with my kids and rated the pool, bar and lunch menu. Booked it again for this two night stay with my better half and it was every bit as good as I remembered.

Only bit I wasn’t keen on was the buffet breakfast, it’s quite chaotic but the hotel is large so to be expected… Surprisingly good coffee from the machine however and as long as the queue for the fresh omelette may be, if really is the best bit and worth the wait.

The pictures on hotels.com show a beautiful view of the ocean. In actuality, you’re about a couple blocks away. Patio furniture in the lobby and sparse bedroom furniture with only a sheet no blankets. The air conditioning was pretty weak and we had a hard time sleeping. I think because of the price point it attracts a lot of younger people and bachelor and bachelorette parties, which were very rowdy and noisy throughout the night the bar across the street closes late into the night and we found it brought a lot of noise through the corridor. If you’re on a family vacation spend more and go elsewhere.

We went to Mallorca for a weekend trip. And this hotel was perfect for the view and road trip with the easy parking. It was May when we visited, but the weather was quite warm already. Unfortunately, there was no electric fan nor air-conditioning provided...So we had to open the window for some air. However, this led to another problem, the noise from the parties. The hotel was located right next to the pubs and bars near the beach, and our windows were directly facing them. We did manage to enjoy some in-house entertainment provided by the hotel, like the bar and the Michael Jackson dancing show. It will be even better if the swimming pool can be opened earlier in the morning for a quick dip before/after breakfast.

The hotel is very clean, the staff are attentive and helpful, the pool is great and we really appreciated the early check in. We also appreciated the surprise bottle of wine. Location is brilliant with the strip a 5 minute walk away and there are a host of local shops within a few steps. It was really good to see the manager out and about every day ensuring everything was good for the guests. There is a nice games room for kids too.

2 things to improve on.
1. Check in is laborious. It seems to take forever and if a big group arrives you could be there for hours. The online check in process is a great idea but didn’t work, leaving us with the standard process.
2. Breakfast. Beyond fruit and pastries it was pretty average.

This was the very first time of going to Mallorca and I will definitely go again. The hotel was a very good choice. Despite the language barrier, the staff always went out of their way to help. Very helpful and always smiling. From the reception staff, restaurant staff and even the lady who cleaned our room, who was called Fatou. They were very polite and always eager to help. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful break. My kids and I really needed it. Can’t wait to come back again. You are simply amazing. God bless you all.

We usually stay at ME when we holiday in Majorca across the road but we are staying in a villa this time on other side of island but wanted a night out in Magaluf this hotel was the best option for us to stay 1 night it was clean good value and very nice staff in good location what more could you want

Reception staff always seemed to be busy doing everything bar being available to customers…

Check in was painfully slow, 4 staff members, only one checking people in. Then, I was about to check in, an existing guest just walked up to the front and rather than the reception saying there’s a queue, continues to deal with her request.

Hotel was ok, pool was nice, dinner service finishes very early - glad I was just there for one day/night.

Overall a really good stay!

Hotel was amazing with 3 pools. Room cleaned daily with clean towels. Staff at bar were a bit unfriendly and didnt engage much with guests.
Changed the time the pool area opened so never really sure when you could get in.
Breakfast had an amazing choice and very clean.
Key card had to be reactivated about 6 times throught out stay which was a bit annnoying when on 6th floor!

Hotel reception and pool area very nice. Pool huge, plenty of sun beds. Rooms were very small, mine has no air con. I told reception but never got fixed. Bed covers we’re only changed once in 7 days.. to be honest for the money I paid for the week, I could not expect a lot more.
Also dinner was very poor indeed, but breakfast was ok..

We have been using this Hotel for many years and we have always been very happy. It's great value and in a fantastic location.
The only downside is the time it takes to check-in, very slow, and this time was even more frustrating as I had to check-in my group booking (7 Rooms) individually and pay for them individually.

Can't really complain about anything. Stayed in this hotel back in 1997 & 2002 and the reception, pool area and rooms have been changed and updated to match newer hotels. The only thing that I can say is that a few of the nights we found that the variety of food on offer for dinner was limited, however, the quality was very good. The dining room feels a little dated, but is very clean, plenty of tables & seats and staff are all great.

It started from arrival, we had to haul our bags from two blocks away as they wouldn’t open the gate for us to park in and check in. The gentleman who checked us in offered odd and poor customer service to say the least. This place is like getting to a huge and extremely low class cruise ship full of screaming kids and a nasty - canned like kind of Buffett food. Horrible and should never be a 4 star. We checked out sooner because we could not beat it and they refused to return our money for the last unused night. The beach near by is not the greatest either. Lots of better places to stay in this beautiful island. Not sure how they got the “great reviews” here - and these dam reviews made me book it. What a joke. Good luck.

We loved everything about this hotel. The staff were great. The pools were nice. The food was good. Rooms had plenty of room. The entertainment at night was very good and the daytime activities we enjoyed. Liked the fact there are lots of umbrellas. Yes, it gets a bit noisy when the young ones roll in at some ungodly hour but when we’re on holiday that’s part of it, depending on what city/town you’re in. The location was great too. We walked everywhere.

Nice, but make sure the picture reflects what you are booking. I booked a room that said bedroom and extra bed in den space. This did not occur. The hotel would not accommodate on this. We made it work but disappointed on that part. Food was descent. Nice place. Loud from the visiting uni kids but ok.

Stayed here for a short break in June this year, and absolutely loved it. From the moment we arrived until we left, we found hotel and the staff to be excellent.

A great stay with only a little problem at check-in (remember to take the credit card that you used to book the hotel). Well positioned for both local restaurants and beach plus the bus into Palma city. We stayed for 8 nights and had a great time. Excellent breakfast and good buffet dinner.

The hotel has recently been renovated in the last few years and I one of the best value hotels in Mallorca, the rooms are clean and sufficient. the staff are friendly and helpful for all languages and ages. Food in the restaurant is good and varied. the only negative things I would say is don't rely on Wifi as it rarely works or when it does its not very strong - and the reception staff require another person as there were always queues - they are efficient, but with the number of rooms there are a 3rd person would be helpful

The staff were an absolute pleasure speaking to each day, they always had something going on for activities for children and grown ups alike, breakfast was busy and widely varied affair having something for everyone. The location is absolutely perfect, a moments walk to beach, clubs, food, pirate show(which I can’t wait to rate next), and everything you could possibly need. My wife and I spent many a relaxing day hanging out at the pool and chatting with the bar staff, we won’t ever forget our wonderful experiences at the Sol Guadalupe!

Lovely hotel, but very noisy at night

Overall great stay with my 5 year old son. Hotel is in an ideal location, close to beach, water park and other attractions, shops, restaurants and transport. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful, plentiful with a lot of variety for all diets. Bouncy castles were put up for children by the pool which was very nice, plus other entertainment like a magician show and pirate themed party. My only complaint is that on each of the 8 nights we stayed we were woken several times by guests on our floor, most probably drunk, being very loud in front of our room door, shouting, going in and out of each other's rooms slamming the doors, screaming, giggling and playing music on full blast in the early hours which I thought was inconsiderate. I tried dialling Reception on one night when it got too much, at approx 3am, but no answer. On the way to breakfast in the morning with my child we saw a vodka bottle outside a door and a tampon on the floor! Apart from that we otherwise enjoyed our stay, but felt tired each morning.

Just got back from a week stay at the sol Guadalupe. What a lovely hotel. I stayed in a family room with my toddler and mum. Our room was a double bed in one room and a single in the other. There was also a double sofa bed if needed for bigger families. It was lovely and clean, even under the bed where my son liked to hide things.
I loved that there was the different pools we spent our time in the baby pool and the 60cm which is great for kids. The main pool had so many activities going on every day, great for the older guest(as in not kids). There was the kids club every day, my son was too young to attend on his own but they did offer the parents of under 4s to stay with the children so they could join in. The entertainment in the evenings was fab. We especially loved the clowns and acrobats on Friday evening, my face was hurting from laughing so much. All the staff were so friendly and made such an effort with my son. It's personal touches like that which makes the stay better.

The only down side I can say is not about the hotel itself but the party animals who when coming in at 4/5 in the morning seem to forget they aren't the only ones in the hotel and all manners and respect for other guests go out the window. It did wake me up every night. My family have stayed at the hotel before in the school holidays and they didn't have this problem though.

I will definatley book again but I'll research quieter times.

Lovely hotel ruined by hooligans round the pool. Glass bottles allowed,!! Children at hotel glasses and bottles being smashed chairs thrown into pool, fighting swearing . Inside running riot till 4pm, banging on doors. Do I need to add any more!

perfect hotel

have been coming to Magaluf as a group every May for many years and have used the Guadalupe hotel last three times, suits our needs perfectly. Staff very helpful and friendly, rooms cleaned ,towels changed every day. only stayed b/b, breakfast quite good. pool and pool bar excellent,our average age is 50+ and the hotel is situated far enough away from the \"strip\" to suit our age group yet close to the beach and some good pubs (Britannia and Piano bar highly recommended). Pool side rooms catch the sun most of the day. the rooms have a fridge but no tea/coffee making facility so if you like an early morning drink, advisable to bring your own kettle. will no doubt be back here again next year.

We were given was a family room with twin Beds which was huge no bath which was a disappointment but shower was big and powerful
We only stayed bed abd breakfast but saw food in the evening which was your standard all inclusive breakfast was good with everything you could ask for we just hated the oversized canteen feel of the dining space
Drinks were reasonable price but my husband did think the beet was watered down as had kess taste thB when we went to other places
Lots of su beds although because of awful. WeAther never got the chance to use them !
Entertainment was ok nothing special singing acts part of the hotel team
Would I recommend the hotel ? No as magaluf is a tacky place with cheap nasty restaurants ( not sure I can call
Them that !) so for that reason could not recommend and also because of the food area

Great hotel + staff who go above and beyond

First ever holiday with my 5 year old - i went alone so was very apprehensive. Hotel has the BEST staff for kids club - they put their heart and soul into looking after the kids + making sure parents get a break! Very proactive, they came and found me and my daughter immediately on arrival, and then looked for us every time there was an activity - she didn't want to leave, absolutely love the team - special shout out and thanks to Laura, Paula, Andrei and Alvaro for their hard work and heartfelt effort!
It's clear they are REALLY good with kids and are not just going through the motions, which I worried about. I had total freedom 11am-1pm, 3-4pm, and then they have a kids disco 8-9pm and an extra movie night once a week for all the kids till 11pm. My daughter had an absolute blast thanks to these guys - and I had time off to myself.
There was lots of great activities scheduled during kids club - I did pool bike 'water spin' class (super fun) every day, water aerobics (really fun) and paddleboard class in the morning. Highly recommended.
Even the staff at dinner were very relaxed - I needed nail scissors once and one of the waitresses found me a pair-really kind and helpful. It's clear that the hotel has superb training to make both little-and big-guests feel welcome and looked after.
The only downside is that (for some reason) the main pool closes at 7 and guests are (gently) asked to leave-I ignored this a couple of times as it frustrated me to stop swimming in sunset :)

Good hotel

Hotel was everything you need. The balcony didn't get any sun and looked over a flat roof. Pool area was lovely and the hotel was just off the strip so reasonably quiet. Would recommend it.

Nice hotel close to the beach

Couldn't knock this hotel- was a bit worried as some of the previous reviews were awful! Lovely pools, close to the strip- and even closer to the beach and bars.

We stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfast choices were perfect.
Would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel!

Really love this hotel. Stayed here twice now and always been happy with it. It's quieter than most Magaluf hotels. It's renovated, clean, reasonably priced and a good location. Would stay here again and again.

Pretty decent hotel

Great things are the location, the cleanliness and styling of the hotel. Rooms aren't very big, but they are good. Our shower was epic. Breakfast is decent. Pool is great too and the staff do a great job of trying to get you to join in with their fitness activities. Check in is appalling however. Takes forever and they're not very welcoming or helpful.

Nice hotel

Nice reception area. Lifts all working. Room in good clean state. Bed (which was noisy but comfortable) changed every two days. Bathroom nice size. Towels changed daily. Shower gel provided. Lovely shower. Recommend breakfast. Take your own tea though. Great location. Pool was good - with lifeguard. Definitely recommend.
