Everything and everyone was great except the house keeper. She was so loud talking in her phone while she cleaned other rooms, slammed door and frankly ridiculously disrespectful to those of us not wanting to be up at 8am it redirected poorly on the stay.

A beach-front hotel with all rooms facing the seashore. Enormous number of restaurants and stores just next door, a parking garage. Free minibar with water, juices and beer. Very good breakfast included. Free beach beds with umbrellas around the pool. The sandy beach is long and clean. The beach is public, though, and you have to pay 20 Euro/day for the umbrella with two beds, but you may also buy one of your own for 20 Euro in the store nearby, if you don't mind lying on the send (front row!) A lot of night clubs and dance floors at night...

Except the room had a microwave and a sink, cups but no cutlery or plates nor means of washing the cups
Would have been nice to have a glass for wine to sit on the balcony at night
We did try and obtain the items required but all the bars were run separately and couldnt get anything

Claim due to cancelled booking by Sol Wave

My confirmed and paid hotel stay was cancelled by hotel. Only upon arrival we were told that booking was cancelled. I had 3 flights before this, a total of 23h of travel, and received no support whatsoever to find other hotel. Hotels.com has returned money now, but I hereby demand that Sol Wave pay for our stay 1520€, and that Hotels.com manage this claim with the hotel, as Hotels.com has choosen to establish partnership with wrong and poor quality hotel and should therefore assume responsability. I expect for this claim to be paid to me within October 2023.

Terrible stay BROKEN BED

Terrible hotel. I was given room with 2 beds and 1 of the beds was totally broken. There was big hole in it and my spine hurted after the night spent in that bed. My wife slept in other bed was ok.
After the night I have complained to reception about it and demanded some kind of refund but was given just sorry. That is unacceptable for 4 star hotel and the price I paid almost 130 euros!! Bed is a basic most important thing in hotel room and I payed 130 euros for what? For sleeeping in broken bed?? If I knew I would have chosen hostel instead.
Shame on this hotel and the way how they treat the customers. Zero compensation for uncomfortable stay.
Dont stay in this hotel. Choose better onea in Mallorca. They dont deserve customers if they dont have basic manners how to refund customers for such a situations.

Breakfast is amazing , dinner is nice but can be a bit better .
Area around enterance doesn't match what is inside the hotel , but not a big deal.

Enjoyed the views, pool and beach. The hotel had a very nice restaurant attached to it which made it easy for dinner. Did not enjoy that the hotel did not have ice machines for guests. Paid for the ocean view front house, but got the side view. King bed consisted of two UNCOMFORTABLE double beds pushed together.

I liked the closeness of the hotel to the beach and the surrounding restaurants and shops.
I really liked the view from my room with frontal sea view
I did not like the fact that the wave machine was not working and sometimes it was noisy at night due to young people(probably drunk) partying in the nearby clubs on the strip.(this is not a fault of the hotel however)

This is a fantastic hotel in a great location for the beach, shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel is decorated to a high standard and is very clean. All bedrooms are very spacious and offer everything you need and much more such as a little kitchenette. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would strongly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be staying there again next year.

Very disappointing!

I have stayed at the sol wave on a number of occasions before and always enjoyed it but I was hugely disappointed with this trip. I had specifically booked a sea view and was given a room overlooking buildings and generators. You could see the sea if looked around the corner. The most disappointing thing was how the hotel dealt with this. The person on reception was very rude and unhelpful. We eventually got moved but told we were “lucky” others hadn’t booked in yet. The room was in the majestic section of the hotel and really not of the same standard as the rest of the hotel.

The pool area and amenities were all great and we had a great holiday but I would be very reluctant to use this hotel again. The level of service and professionalism is poor with most guests walking away from the reception frustrated or unhappy with the service.

I wouldn't recommend this Hotel for the price paid

Not a real a 4 star in my opinion. It may look nice in the pictures but up close it is rather disappointing old building. Some of the rooms are privately owned - you can see \"for sale\" signs hanging from the balconies. Plus its main selling point the wave pool is charged extra and open to anyone.

Positives:

Right in front of the beach.

The rooms are very spacious.

Close to clubs if you want to party. I didn't.

Negatives:

The room wasn't that clean - especially the floors.

There was a big gap under my doors so l could hear all the noise from the hall. Especially annoying in the morning when you hear the trolleys being wheeled by the maids.

Bad food. Not much variety and I had an upset stomach on the second day after the buffet breakfast. I had a small water bottle with me when I went for a buffet dinner and I was told by one of the staff that I can't drink that here. Really? I paid a lot for the room and half board and you gonna try to force me to buy your overpriced water at the buffet? Not cool. I would get it if it was a proper restaurant but the place looked like a cheap canteen and the guy was wearing shorts.

After 3 nights I've moved to another Melia hotel - Calvia Beach. This one I sincerely recommend - a real 4star also at the beach front. It's far classier experience for a similar price.

Do not book for October half term

Booked the hotel for October half term , wish I had not , it was to close on 31 st October, so both restaurants were already closed , supermarkets closed water sports closed , all we had was a room and a very exspencive breakfast £12 per head and £6 for children , not included in the cost , but hotel was ok .

Party hotel- must wear earplugs!

We wish we would have really consider the other reviews prior to booking for a family vacation. There are so many other areas on the island worth staying at. This area is a loud, college like party house. Thankfully the hotel upgraded is to an area in the hotel away from the bars but it still wasn't enough to not get woken up in the middle of the night by loud party people screaming and yelling. The hotel was nice. We will carefully reads reviews prior to booking now.

So many things to do and good places to eat within walking distance. Staff was very friendly. The room was AMAZING! Large, clean, modern, and comfortable. It is right on the strip so you will here the music of the city. It didn't kill our vibe tho. Even on nights we stayed in, the noise was ok.

Hotel on sea front, walk both ways to bars and restaurants, can also go down the strip which is a busy street full of bars and takeaways , more for the younger part in us. must visit Boathouse and Robinson Cruisoes, both very friendly and good food.clean blue flagged beach clear blue waters, with plenty of boat trips and rides Go karting track.15 minute walk ,go for the pro if you like speed , buses run to palma every day 105 106 107 ask at tourist info near to stereo and temple pubs for free map and where to catch

Lovely location on the sandy beach. The only drawback was that one had to pay for all the deck chairs which took away from the comfort of the beach and pool experience. The pool closed before dark which was I put down to perhaps safety reasons. Great activities to all albeit at a cost.

Extremely loud, young kids17-22, running around all hours of the night till 4 am drunk!!! Extremely loud, good luck if you want some R&R on your vacation!! If you want to spend this kind of money on a hotel choose somewhere else, unless you want to get drunk everynight and not go to sleep till 4 am!!! Do not let the hotel attractions fool you!!

Issues on the suit...

The a.c. was not powerful enough to be giving a comfortable a.c. around all corners of the room. The living room area had a sofa bed and it was not clean at all one would not even dream of sleeping on it. No kettle and tea making facilities. However a toaster, microwave and fridge was available.

The Wave Pools are a Blast

Nice resort with two wave pools. A Flowrider and Flowbarrel. Look them up to see what they are. In a town flowing with booze and all night partying, these wave pools offer some great outdoor activity. The staff is great and they work closely with the participants. Good family activity.

Terrible hotel staff and poor housecleaning

We were given a room on the side of the building with a view of the side building although we had paid a hefty rate for a room with ocean view. When we pointed it out to them they gave us another room with a buiding structure in front, blocking any views of the pool or sea. They insisted that is was a room with a sea view.
When my husband threatened to take a picture of the structure and post it on Trip Advisor they finally gave us a room with a sea view. The whole experience was bad and left a bad taste overall.

Beautiful and walkable

Wonderful location by the beach and dock for excursions. Lots of wonderful surrounding restaurants from chill to gritty. The room was modern but the bathroom was small. The staff was amazingly attentive particularly the outdoor bar staff. Would go again in a heart beat !

Below average with superficial aesthetics!

This hotel is average (or below) in every possible way.

They charged us extra for a room with a view, but when you get there all the rooms have a view. Second, there is no elevator from the parking to the hotel, so you have to carry your luggage.
When we were checking in, they wouldn't check us in, unless we email the front desk our online confirmation. What hotel does that? I mean they have the confirmation on their screen. (just as a note, they take the passport info and address of all guests)
Some rooms in the building are privately owned and not part of the hotel.
Superficially the room seemed clean, but then when you look closely, it definitely is a quick clean.

The pool has frozen water that no one was swimming, and we couldn't stand the temperature of the water! You have to put a 5 Euro deposit when you grab a towel.

No food on site, but rather right outside the hotel.

They advertise the wave pool, but its a separate establishment that costs extra money.

They have definitely renovated the hotel but needs way more than just aesthetics. The good thing going for this place is the location and superficial modern looks.

Brilliant hotel!

We spent a week at this hotel and I have to say that we thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel was impeccably clean, the staff were all exremely helpful and very polite. And it wasn't overly crowded. It's literally right on the beach, but it has it's own brilliant infinity pool and extensive sun lounging areas. We'll certainly be returning.

No sleep, security calls at 3am.

if you value a good night sleep on your holiday, don't stay here... The predominant guests are late teenagers/youngsters who seemed to be on a first trip away from home and desperate to be loud, unpolite and most of all rudely drunk. They come usually in big groups and nights are endlessly noisy with them having booze parties in the rooms and leaving guests like ourselves frustated without proper sleep. Every night (out of the 4 nights), we had to call security (usually around 3am when the drunk crowd were returning from the clubs/bars). They would stay in the corridor shouting, banging doors and making a clear pandemonium. The security staff always sorted out the problem, which was very helpful but in the end, at the cost of breaking our sleep. Sadly, I can't recommend it...

Too bad! Surpised its 4 start!

I have stayed in many start hotels, but I would not rate this beyond 2 star hotel. There are many disadvantages, I will list whatever is higher priority.

The lift is may be more than 30 years old. There is no lift from under ground Car parking to upstairs, So you will have to on your own with suitcases to first floor then use the lift to go further floors.

Surroundings smells bad. Bathroom head shower was overleaking.

They have a concept of Flow connect and all activity you do inside the hotel permises are of additional costs.

You hear loud noises everywhere the sound proofing is not in place inside the room.

Last year December I went to Funchal with Melia rewarded hotel and it was the best hotel. I expected the same for this but disappointed.

No value for money and I wont certainly book this hotel back again.

Lovely hotel & very central

This really is a lovely hotel in the centre of town, l would definitely stay there again or recommend to friends. I was worried about it being noisy due to its location but didn't suffer at all with noise levels! And it was quite nice the fact that around the pool there wasn't a blaring DJ!
The room was lovely and clean.
The only thing that l would suggest is for each guest to wear a wristband so staff can identify residents and non-residents.
Excellent stay would highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel right on the beach!

We went here for a break for 4 nights and couldn't have been happier, lovely hotel great room only problem was the bed it was 2 singles which were put together, I know this is common abroad but given how modern the hotel was a nice double bed would have made it perfect, great location and easy walk to Palma nova! We're going to return with our 2 boys next year!

Couldn't fault the holiday, hotel is great, on the beach, with 2 amazing wave machines. So glad we went off season, as I can see how manic this place would be in high season. Great value for money, but a little annoyed with sketchy wifi signals in the room and tiny elevators taking you to your floor. However, in summary very enjoyable, would go there again (off-season!) and recommend to a friend.

Just returned from 5 day stay with my wife in a suite overlooking the beach. The hotel is very modern and is in an ideal location; breakfast was very good also. The only real, although small complaint was during checking, which took sometime given that there were only two people doing this, and they required a copy of my hotels.com reservation, which in all the years I have travelled no hotels required this.

I would certainly recommend this hotel and if visiting magaluf again would go back.

Nice hotel virtually on the beach

Lovely hotel right in the heart of magaluf with plenty of eating places whithin walking distance, the infamous strips just 2 mins down the road but just far enough away where you get a good nights sleep if you want some. Hotel staff are so friendly with loads of advice where to go if you've not been before, was the other halfs birthday and we had champers and choc's waiting in the room when we got back from the beach.
Top hotel, great staff,on the beach with a awesome wave pool !!! Brilliant!!!!!

View is beautiful. Service is nice. 2 Twin beds NOT comfortable. Fridge was bare - not stocked. Shower didn't work well. And above all - SUPER loud. Magaluf is party central but they're mostly all British, mostly guys and they're mostly all hammered. It's like every Rugby team or Frat House from every part of England was there. They're beyond rowdy. Quite aggressive, really. Not the Hotels fault - but right in the middle of it all. Not my cup of tea.

The hotel is on the beach and is right in the heart of Magaluf, so you're never far away from anything (particularly the night life). I would recommend the massage parlour as it's only 10 euros for an incredible back massage and the staff are some of the friendliest I've ever encountered. Make sure you get involved with the Hotels unique Twitter sphere as you'll regularly get the chance to win free drinks (as I did on the last day).

I would also recommend getting a taxi from the airport to the hotel - it's only slightly more expensive than a coach but it is so much more convenient!

Good experience

I had a good time at the hotel. If you like to party it is a good place for you. We love the wifi and the breakfast I was recommend you get it before you go and if you can get up in time. The wave pool was good even though I was fell on my butt. Overall it was a good experience. We rented a car to see the island I would recommend it so you can see the whole island. The beaches were amazing!

Great location for what we wanted.

The hotel is in the heart of magaluf. Can't fault the hotel at all. Magalufs noisy, but I knew that. You get enough ale in you, you'll sleep through anything. Cleaned everyday and will change your towels everyday which is a godsend for 10 messy lads. Felt sorry for the maids. But the made the room tidy and spotless everyday. Great hotel

Very good

Just spent 3 days in this hotel, and it was very good. Rooms are very big and barely could hear noise from outside the hotel. Others guests were a bit noisy in the corridors during the night, but that's not the hotel's direct fault. The only downside for me was that the cleaning of the rooms didn't had specific times and that sometimes we wanted to go back to the room at 3pm and the room wasn't stil clean, and when it was cleaned the floor of the bathroom hadn't been vacuumed and there was no stock of toilet paper.
Other than that, I would recommend this hotel and will return.

Very nice hotel.

Love the hotel. Two minutes from the strip. Beach on its doorstep. Staff was so helpful and friendly even the cleaners was cheerful. The hotel its self is very clean an modern looking, my room was great clean, bathroom was stopless. Opens out to balcony. The hotel itself is in a great location bars and restaurants all around it. We only stayed three days wish it was longer. Would highly recommend if you want to be in the heart of things. Great for couples however wish we had a double bed instead of two singles :|

BEST HOTEL IN MAGALUF!!

truly close to everything. the square, the strip and the beach.. .and that's all there is to Magaluf really.. what more does one need??!! honestly.. we went here for a stag, just got back yesterday.. Magaluf was kinda quite to be honest, i was expecting it to be more bustling.. but luckily we had this hotel which made it extremely convenient for us. The wave/surf machine is also a bonus. something to do at the hotel without having to leave. You also get a discounted rate because you stay at the hotel. Brilliant!!
