I was first given a room which did not have an AC remote. So I had to go to the reception, and they provided me with a new room. In that room the AC had a remote but the AC wasn’t working - showing an error. I had to go to reception again and they said they will send a technician, no one came. I had to go to the reception multiple times. Mind you that even the lift wasn’t working for the entire time, which means I had to get up and down 3 floors every time. When I complained I was asked if I would work with a fan. Finally around 4pm I got a room which had an AC working. The hotel was otherwise good with good beds. But if something is not working, it will take forever to get solved. Ruined my entire stay because of the constant running.

There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, which was odd, as all previous hotels i’ve used in the past do. They did provide ‘free’ tea/coffee if you had a paid breakfast (I didn’t have any) but I was allowed to take hot water.
The lifts worked occasionally, so I had to use the stairs frequently.
The hotel Wi-Fi constantly dropped the signal.
I did enjoy the bed, so much so I slept for 12 hrs. This was after a long day driving from the UK.
The bathroom was modern and clean.
The hotel carpark was a squeeze to get in from the street and the ramp was a little steep, catching my bumper!
It was in a great location to the centre of Antwerp.
Antwerp is a beautiful place to visit and would come again and stay at the Eden Hotel.

Not a great place to stay.

This hotel is very ‘tired’. The room was poorly decorated and equipped. There was scant space, furniture or facilities. There was no tea/coffee making facilities and apart from the beds little to sit on or do things.

The general atmosphere was dowdy and poor. We felt that for a very small uplift in rate we could have stayed in one of the corporate hotels and achieved much better value. The parking is underground and secure but at €20 per night extra just made the experience feel less good value.

Very rough around the edges but you get what you pay for. Was clean enough and the bed was comfy. I hardly got any sleep during the second night because the lift outside my room (201) was making very loud squeaking noises ever time it was beung used. I only realised it was the lift when I left. Will probably stay here again but not in a room next to the lift or in obe facing the street

Good for a short stay.

It's a good hotel for a 1 or 2 night stay if you are only at the hotel to sleep and shower as we did.
The staff is friendly, rooms clean (could use new forniture). The hotel is on walkingdistance from the trainstation, shoppingstreet and center of Antwerp.

The receptionist was not very helpful when we checked in. The house keeper cleans only the bathroom without doing the beds.

Good Location!

We got to the hotel past midnight, we had called and informed the hotel that we will be arriving after midnight and hotel said it was fine, regardless of the fact that on the information page it says checkin closes at midnight.

Once we checked in, we saw that it was a basic room, a double bed, desk and open cupboard. Please note there is no safe, kettle or fridge in the room. The bathroom was nice however, our bathroom had not been cleaned, the toilet had stains in it and towels were all over the floor.

Once complained we got moved to another room. Bit of an Inconvenience, however the night manager at the time was very helpful.

Location of this hotel is great Amsterdam central station is a 5 minute walk and is a 5 min walk from the shopping strip.

If you are taking a car, the hotel charges €20 per night for parking, however, there is a multi storey car park near that charges €18.50.

Coffee and Tea is free from the hotel in the breakfast room, however bottled water and drinks cost €2.50!! Which is steep compared to a water bottle you can get in a super market for less than half that price!

Other than that, it’s a basic hotel with good location and staff is really nice.

This was a pleasant hotel just a few strides away from the centre. The rooms are basic, but clean. The showers are good and clean too. The surrounding area is quiet.

The only disappointment to this stay was the very unpleasant receptionist on the day of my stay on 22nd February. He was very unhelpful, whilst all the other staff was very helpful.

Would stay here again for the right price.

Disappointed with the Smoking Smell

The non-smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke and made it impossible to sleep. People from rooms across the courtyard (very small open area) would open their windows and smoke out their windows and this smoke got into all of the hotel rooms. When we got to our room initially, the window as open and it smelled horrible which never went away. Also, the headboard of the bed was made of fabric which was very stained with dirt from other people stay there. The bathroom was acceptable, as we could tell it was newly renovated. The carpets were very dirty. One night was enough.

The breakfast was okay.

The staff were always nice. We got what we paid for. The rooms were very small even by European standards. The walls were dirty (need a coat of paint) and there was black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. We changed rooms and the second room was not better. The staff advised us that they were being bought out by another company and the hotel was shutting down for renovations. The location however was very convenient.

We were in town for a concert and chose this hotel because it was inexpensive and close to the train station. The bedding and bathroom was clean but the floor and the walls were disgusting. The lampshades were old and yellow and one was burned by the light. The headboards were yucky blue fabric. The breakfast was very good and was included in the room price. The neighbourhood felt a bit seedy, but it was close to the station as we wanted.

For the price, this hotel is outstanding! We traveled by public transportation, so it being so close to Central Station was great. Along with doable walks to a majority of the must see places of Antwerp. The coffee, tea, or hot chocolate available in the evenings was so nice after a day of touring, and the complimentary breakfast surpassed our expectations, it was really good with many options of both warm and cold foods. The bed was really comfortable. The room was quite. My only complaints at all, which really aren’t complaints for the price of the hotel, was the floor was wood, and looked like it hadn’t been mopped before our stay. And, the hallways were a little drab.

Walls were dirty. The bed frames were also stained with either coffee or blood. The air conditioning was not working. Staff could not fix it and said “pray it works”. We had to open the windows the whole night and could not sleep right because of the noise. The next morning we advised the staff about the AC and was not acknowledged. Would not stay in this hotel.

Nice hotel a short walk from the train station as well as the city centre, rooms basic, no drawers just a small wardrobe with a very high hanging rail! no coffee / tea making facilities in the room but you are able to help yourself from the dining area, comfy bed with two single quilts not a double.had a couple of English channels on TV, bathroom had a hairdryer & there is also aircon. breakfast @ 10 Euros was reasonable as not a cheap place to eat. in the Diamond area so lots of jewellery shops around, must have a look in the train station, it is a lovely building, zoo is also walking distance if you fancy a break from the shops.also has a storage area if you have a late flight. overall not bad.

Completely obnoxious

I read some reviews, and couldn't imagine anyone being rude enough to destroy a hotel experience, until it happened to me.
There were 3 desk people in my 2 night stay. The first 2 provided outstanding service, and I thank them both for that. The 3rd man however, was completely obnoxious- to the point of causing me anxiety whenever I saw him at the desk. I witnessed him bark demands at other guests too. They were simply enjoying some coffee, as I was. He came into the lounge aggressively repeating that we are all to \"Make sure our cups are put on the tray, because the cleaning people are gone, and he is not a cleaning person.\"
Simply obnoxious.
I was given 1 extra hour after check out when I arrived, and was very grateful. As soon as I exited the elevator, he began screaming at me, and demanding to know what took me so long, because they were booked up for the day. Thankfully, I kept the wifi card with my check out time on it, and handed it to him. Rather than apologize, he demanded to know who wrote that!

It's a shame really. The location is excellent, the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. But at the end of the day, I just prefer my service with a smile. I should not be prepared to battle depending on who's working. So unless this problem is promptly fixed, I do not recommend this hotel. There are plenty of other places to stay in Antwerp. Just pick a place that will be nice you.

Found a dirty sock on the shelf behind the bin. Walls could be painted. It was an average stay all in all, the room was quite dark, because of the small window and only one small light in the whole room. Bathroom was very nice. Located close to the train station and close to a lot of restaurants.

Perfect Break

Warmly welcomed on arrival. Nice and airy feel to decor and lighting was effective. Room was lovely, very peaceful and the bed was so comfy. Bathroom was spot on with having a walk in shower - plenty of hot water and always lovely fresh and soft towels.
Breakfast room was well set out and there was a proper toaster :)
Hotel was very well situated for everything you need and plenty to see and do within walking distance.

It was An ok stay. Very basic room, and not as clean as I would like. Not enough towels and bo vanity pack or shampoo and conditioner, just An all in one soap hanging in the shower, An extra towel and pillows would have been Nice.

Unfriendly staff who ignore your presence and are quite frankly rude and unaccommodating. In particular, the guy on the front desk most days. They do the bare minimum. The cleaning staff were much better and would smile and greet at least.

Room had some 2m long, ugly advertisement about the bed you are sleeping on that looked like there was a layer of bugs squashed in there. The bed was so so. Pillows like a sack of potatoes. Room worn down in general. Only accessible plug sockets were 2 by the desk so can't charge anything on the night stand.

Location is central but there are lots of hotels on the same street, closer to the station, so I would stay there next time.

Stayed here almost a week and nothing good to say mostly due to awful service.

Nice warm welcome if not a little cumbersome as the computers were \"updating\" but still quite quick.
Placed on the 3rd floor with no working lift (apparently out of action for 2 months)
Room was clean and basic, bed, tv, good shower but no tea/coffee making facilities.
However, free tea/coffee in breakfast area till 2200Hrs.
The bed and covers were very comfortable and very quiet outside, the only noise was from the other guests coming/going but still very quiet.
Very good for a budget.

Lovely stay at Eden Hotel

Had a great stay at Eden Hotel, it's in a quiet location but close enough to the city centre. Only a few minutes walk to antwerp central station, tram and bus stops so made getting around very easy.

The rooms are basic but comfortable and modern. Absolutely loved the bed, so big and comfortable! We miss the bed already! Housekeeping was regular but sadly no do not disturb hangers for days you wanted to be left alone. Housekeeper is very nice and does a great job with the rooms.

Free WiFi and unlimited hot drinks which was a real bonus! Breakfast buffet was basic but did the job.

Service from staff was always pleasant and helped as much as possible when needed.

Only downside is we found the hotel to be quite noisy. A lot of banging going on and as it was so clammy we needed the window open but there was a constant banging from 7am til late. Air conditioning wasn't the best but it helped.

I would most likely stay here again but next time I'll bring ear plugs:)

Location is near train station but hidden so need abit of time to find it. No heater no aircon. U need to rely on opening and closing window..room needs some upgrading as it looks old. Reception lady was polite. Good for 1 night stop over.
