Incredible location - across the street from centraal station and within 5 minutes walking of another major bus stop (both are perfect for day trips to places like Bruges, Ghent, etc.) staff is great. Very cute piano in the breakfast area that I enjoyed playing every day. Very much a no-frills European hotel room. Small, but very serviceable. I felt safe and relaxed there.

Had a form to fill in when booking in with questions including not just the country and town I was born in and my nationality but my personal home address. Also my profession! What on Earth does my profession have to do with booking into a hotel?
Left some cake and a sandwich, both wrapped up, on the room table while we went out for a walk. We got back and the food were plagued by small black flies.
Woken up around 3am by a man who we could hear during the day getting more and more intoxicated. He had started off chatting loudly to the workmen out back then later he was singing shanty songs then we were woken up by him aggressively shouting at someone

Great place to be eaten alive by bed bugs

Infested with bed bugs which means my children aged 3 & 9 were bitten anll over their body all night, with bed sheets covered with blood, Had to keep going to reception 3-4 times because I couldn’t into my room with the key cards, woken at 7am by drilling, one fan in the room which was a complete safety hazard, blade was fitted wrong way around so blew backwards, safety mesh not secure so blades were exposed, the base was broken so it didn’t stand correctly and one turned on it was so unsecured it was moving all over and sounded like a helicopter and moved like it will take off! No one seamed to care and the response was I’ll let the manager know, no care in the world. However the only positive thing I could say is the gentleman who was on the desk on the evening of check in, assisted me to find a night shop to buy milk for my child.

Bed was too soft. There were mosquitos in the room. You had to make your own bed and the shoer did not have a hilder so you have to hold the shower while showering The booking is misleading as we were looking for a hotel with parking but the hotel sends you to a parking lot. You do get a discount on parking but still misleading.

The staff in the early afternoon was friendly. When I checked in at 5, the new staff was less friendly. He could speak good English, barely enough to communicate. I feel like I was given commands and he repeated his commands if people didn’t follow. The staff next morning was friendly again. The bed linen given to me seemed clean but smelled like sour feet. My room had no lockers. There was only one iron case underneath the other bunk bed (shown in the photos).

Basic, zero frills, beware of renovations

This was an overnight stop and so was OK, but it's not a place for longer stays. The hotel was under renovation mid-June 2025 (which isn't mentioned on Hotels.com) and so it was a bit rough & ready with cracks in walls and workmen in the lifts etc. Rooms basic, beware no AC. It was cheap and seconds from station so did the job. Bring earplugs!

This is hostel rather than a Hotel..

Check in was easy enough.. didn't realise it was a hostel rather than a hotel..
so my immediate reaction was to find another place to stay..
But we were given a room on the top floor..
The room was clean and comfortable with basic facilities with ensuite bathroom..
A little worn but seemed adequate for our one night stay..
It was quiet and the bed was comfortable and clean..
TV had English channels which was a bonus ..
The location of the hotel was opposite the train station..
A few minutes walk from the zoo and about 15minutes walk to the centre of Antwerp..
Shops and restaurants nearby..
In the beginning we were apprehensive about staying but ended up enjoying our stay and absolutely loved its location..
No WiFi unfortunately having technical problems apparently..
Although parking is advertised as available but there is not..
Fortunately we have a blue badge and parked directly outside the hotel on the path
Didn't receive any tickets for parking while we were there overnight..
So again a bonus...

I beleive the property is undergoing some renovations. The room was outdated and could tell furniture had been moved around and electric outlets were in odd palces in relation to beds. Bathroom door didn't close all the way but did lock. No AC so we opened windows at night, was comfortable and became mostly quiet eventually. Overall, for the price, after reading reviews I knew what to expect and wasn't disappointed. There were plenty of food options withing walking distance and Grand Centeal Statio. Right across the street. Parking was offsite and around 25 Euros a day. It was a comfortable enough stay, but if you're looking for anything close to fancy this isn't it. We would stay again though.

What I like the most was the check out at 2pm, thats why I decided to stay here.... But nevertheless on Sunday around 11:45am a Lady came to the room super noisy, I was the only person in the room and I was sleepy so She wake me up saying Check out......... I told her my check out was at 2pm....... She didnt say even sorry and nothing and lefts the room...... After she still was around so basicly I felt She was rushing me to left the room and She could clean it.

Change of management.Its stillreasonablypriced.However there was long queue at reception at 9pm friday to check with one girl serving.Good to see some staff continuing especially friendly girl in the morning. Sometimes i was given free upgrade under previous management as been coming for a few yrs but probably arrived earlier.Unfortunately breakfast now only continental unlike before.Only one lift working.Had to switch tv off at the back as remote only changed channels.Asked for replacement remote but that needed new batteries.

We booked for 2 rooms for 4 adults,upon arrival got told 1 head 1 room for 4 adults and were placed in a family room with 2 small beds and bunk beds for 2 grown men
They staff were rude,the bar was advertised but were told it never opens.The restaurant was advertised but did not exist
Breakfast was poor with little choice unless you liked eggs salad toast and cold meat and cereal or yoghurt
Our overall experience was terrible,nobody slept properly due to noisy guests and unsoundproofed floors and walls
Would not recommend anybody staying there ever.

Arrived on the day it was changing hands to become owned by A&O. Should’ve realised what was coming and left. Took an age to check in, the room was disgusting. Never come across bed bugs before and it was infested. No other rooms available apparently. Still itching now. Great location but absolutely disgusting. The bugs were everywhere, in the wardrobe, all over the carpet, even in the bathroom. Never again, ever!

I stayed 9 days here. I had an awesome time! Staff is friendly and helpful. They have bike rentals for cheap!! the only thing I wish they had were washer and dryers. There’s a laundry facility walking distance around the corner but I feel it’s overpriced at €14 ish to wash and dry. Other than that- I had the time of my life and the property was low key pretty cool.

Ummmmm no!!

This hotel is utterly disgusting. We walked in to our room and I just about cried. We basically left right away; couldn’t get our money back and had to pay for another last minute hotel. I would NOT recommend this hotel. The girl working the front desk couldn’t figure out how to take a credit card or how to enter my birthdate in the computer. Not to mention the massive amounts of loud drunk people flooding the hallways, like it was some brothel or frat house. Yikes!!

The smell in the room was awful and it was not clean at all. Only two people in the restaurants and we had no plates and forks and the eggs took so long to refill. The room was too small. It didn’t have a shower, only a hose, making it too hard to take a shower, also the towels were really small.

Worth the money, good location

Century Hotel is a really good value. The rooms are small and the amenities are basic but they get the job done, and they were very clean. The best part of the hotel is the location which is across from the Antwerpen Centraal train station, and in the city center. No air conditioning means the windows needed to be open to sleep comfortably and the cab drivers across the street were loud in the morning. Otherwise really good stay for a great price.

The bed was comfortable. We also found this to be a very noisy hotel but internally and externally all night. Very strange room layout. Free wifi was pretty good. No in room tea/coffee facilities which was a shame. Very surprised at the how powerful the shower was considering it was an attachment on the taps. Rooms were serviced daily. Only issue we had was bites we got in the room. They weren't bed bugs but more mosquitoe bites but it was hard to find them. Great city centre location close to transport links

However, quite noisy if you have a room facing the station, as there is always activity outside.

The hotel does not have air conditioning and if you are on the top floor and it is hot weather, then the rooms are very hot. If it is not hot, then probably will be fine.

It was a good stay. Very friendly and helpful staff, just amazing. They helped me a lot. The room was clean and quiet big, what I liked a lot.
The location is great, it's right across Anywerpen Central station, what is perfect if you have to leave early in the morning.
As for the disadvantages, it was very loud, even with the windows closed, even at night. I could hear people from the corridor, and from the street.

Great location, right across the street from Antwerp's train station, and a nice breakfast. Unfortunately everything else was very disappointing. The check-in process took a long time as the information on the Hotel's system did not match with my booking through Expedia. The room was very hot, despite a small (portable) fan in the room, which was not enough since we were 3 and the room had two different areas for the beds. The room did not have enough electrical outlets and the ones it did have were placed in very odd places, nowhere near the beds, nightstands or tables. The shower head support was fixed very low on the wall (around knee height), so you would have to remove it from the support and hold it with one hand to rinse off yourself, which is very inconvenient and inefficient. Overall I would recommend looking for a different place to stay in Antwerp, especially if booking for more than 1 night.
