The hotel so old needs more works the Ac unit not working at all I asked him and he changed the room and also the Ac units not working he got me another room I lost my time changing rooms come downstairs go upstairs come downstairs go upstairs also they don’t have safety room for luggage when you do check out I asked him he told me put it there and the room not locked no security.

Horrible place to stay.
At 2:30 in the morning there was someone banging on every door on our floor and yelling. This went on for 20 minutes and the hotel staff did nothing.
Stay away from this dirty and very old hotel.

Decent hotel with good location.

The hotel's staff was basically friendly and helpful. Location of the hotel was convenient just beside of the Central Station. In the hotel room there were some needs and malfunction like air condition. Breakfast was okay.

I have stayed here a few times the staff are friendly and it's close to the train station and convenient for my needs as I'm not so mobile as I used to be.
There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. On phoning reception I was to they didn't have any. However when I spoke to a different concierge the next day I was provided with the tea/coffee making things I needed.
There was a safe in the room, however this didn't work. I mentioned this again to reception. But nothing was done the whole we we were there.
The convenience of the station and the closeness to the diamond district mean it's idea for me but I would probably look at a different hotel for my next visit to Antwerp

Overpromised Hotel

If I got a reservation in a two star hotel and it was like my stay, I would have been pleasantly happy with the quality of the trip. The AC was flaky, the control panel was broken, the TV remote was missing, the pillow (one per person) was shockingly uncomfortable (worse than my ten dollar pillow from Action), and the beds themselves had poor quality sheets. The lights as well did not work in most of the room, and we were only offered one key which seems low. Through Hotels.com, I got a deal for 45% off one of the rooms to stay here – for what I paid, it was very much worth it. However, there were no \"4 star hotel\" amenities or accommodations in sight, and we were not told about any if there were. Having a restaurant alone does not earn you four stars, though I cannot attest to the quality of the breakfast as we left before that. The service was good, at least.

For summary: if I had these same conditions in a two star hotel, I would feel right at home. But being promised a four star hotel and receiving what I did does not seem sufficient. I would never ask for or take a refund, as we enjoyed our stay in Antwerp.

Excellent breakfast. The rest not so good. Aircon not working - flashing an error which couldn’t be switched off. Reception said they controlled temperature, but it was very cold in the mornings. Hot water only lukewarm at 06:00. Bedside light not working. Shaving mirror light not working. Kettle, tea & milk provided, but not coffee or sugar. Bed had large dip at one side where it was starting to collapse. Then locked out of room on last morning after breakfast and had to return to reception to get key card reset - receptionist error. Absolutely no way is this a 4* hotel.

It is very close to
central train station and lots of food options within walking distance. We opted for china town and found an excellent restaurant.
The room facing the street wasn’t a quiet as we’d hoped and they put us in a room on the inner side. It was much quieter, although the first room was much nicer, since it had been updated recently, this one was still nice.

Picture use for ad is central station on Antwerp, nothing to do with the hotel. Everything in my room is in very good condition except the mattress. (Should have new one). Breakfast is good. Staff in restaurant are nice and pleasant but not front desk. Location is excellent. 2 min walk to central station.

This hotel can not be 4* property as it was sold to me. It can not even be 3* property, or any stars. It is dirty filthy, uncomfortable bed, cheap linen, corridors, shabby bathroom, horrible breakfast, - the dining room was so small - it could not take even half of the tourists. one the receptionist was so rude! Never again and don ot recommend

I can nit believe this property is marketed as 4* hotel it is not even a 3* hotel level. There is no stars there at all. Shabby carpets with spots, cracks in the bathroom, uncomfortable bed, inadequate breakfast, small overcrowded breakfast room.
Never again! Rude man 24 th Feb evening check- in! This kind of man can o my be in horror movie. On the other days the receptionists were ok.

The location is amazing but the hotel is a pain. I had to change the room. Aircon wasnot working and the room temperature was 5. The second room the aircon had noises and they had sensor lights in room every time u move it turns on even in the middle of the night. You can hear everything happening in rooms next to you and above u. The only thing good is staff are friendly and good location.

This hotel is a good place to stage a visit to Belgium. It is clean, comfortable, and safe, and less than a 5 minute walk to Antwerpen Central train station. You can be anywhere in Belgium in less than 2 hours without packing up every day or two.

Excellent location. The property was good. The manager in charge of the breakfast room was not friendly. I enjoyed the breakfast and after an hour something I got back to the room and came to the breakfast room with my wife. This time, the manager was not that friendly thinking I came to take breakfast again. In fact, I used to get up early and after finishing my breakfast, I usually accompanied my wife to the breakfast room where I did not need more food but some more coffee only.

Beware of hotel staff & your valuables

Hotel is central and close to restaurants and train. Although hotel is outdated, rooms have been upgraded. Breakfast was good - same selection as most and quality good.
Bad experience: I had my credit cards and euros stolen from my room. Hotel was not very helpful, although did file a police report and am hopeful thief will be apprehended after $10,000 spree. We believe it was hotel staff because we had a DND on the door and hotel was not helpful to look at the log of entry to our room.

I think the hotel definitely needs some renovating done.

They definitely try it mask up the hotel and make it look clean and vibrant, however the room was definitely noticeably in poor condition.

The bathtub seemed like it was about to fall in to the floor, there was mild growing in the shower caulking.

Great location, but the hotel as a whole definitely needs some work done.

Great location, great breakfast selection, but let down by a series of little problems with the room.

Shower was cold then too hot and back again every 10 seconds. Aircon did not work, and flashed bright display during the night. Pillows were too big 50cm square and much too thick to fold in half.

There was a motion sensor in the room which triggered the light whenever there was movement in the bed - which we had to tape over to stop the light coming on every few minutes.

The breakfast food was great, never ran short of anything, but the space could be much better organised.

Currently buffet is by the window, at the farthest point from the kitchen. There is no one-way-system, and it gets very crowded. Better might be to have tables by the window, and move the buffet to the back, next to the kitchen so the staff don't have to walk so far carrying trays.

The hotel does not deserve to have 4 stars.
I guess 2 stars are still hanging in the sky
because the hotel is outdated.
Nothing really what shows on the pictures.
The only 4 star here was the receptionists!!! He deserve more then 4 stars. Only he was the star of this hotel !
i will give him a huge compliment!! Very helpful. He helped me and change me twice to another room because of a disfunction of the lights in the first room. And the Second one the toilet seat was broken !!

t hotel close but not to close!

Hotel was great location and hotel staff were extremely friendly. Rooms were noisy but nothing that earplugs can’t fix. It is away from the hit spits so the noise level was not nearly as bad as it would be closer to town.

Public rooms are impressive. Location is ideal - c50m from the railway station. Reception staff were friendly. Breakfasts excellent, & promptly replenished by the 2 hardworking staff members.
Shoe polishing machine by lifts.
The first room I was shown to had a broken window, which was dangerous to open, & I was upgraded to a superior one. There were various problems with the 2nd one - I felt embarrassed to mention them all to the reception staff. They were mainly related to maintenance - if each room had been thoroughly checked before letting guests in, some problems could have been avoided. The 2nd room had an excellent view, but problems with the room included:
The safe didn't work. TV - There were only 24 channels, & only 1 in English, no BBC.
Plumbing The handbasin leaked & there was no bathplug. Reception didn't have a spare.
I feel that for a 4 star hotel the required standard wasn't achieved. More training & staff visits to other hotels of the same star rating could help give greater awareness of guests' expectations.

Booked this hotel as the Radisson was full. Hotel looked ok outside but that was only a thin veneer.
Despite having paid in advance Reception demanded payment of city tax on arrival.
The room was freezing and the single heater unit took several resets to get going. Even then it was only capable of slightly warming the area immediately around it.
There was a very unpleasant odour of drains in the room, and thinking the smell was probably due to dried out u bends I ran the taps in the bathroom. This reduced the smell but led to the discovery that the bath water came out of the taps a muddy brown colour.

Disappointed with my stay at De Keyser

Disappointed many issues ranging from shower leaking on the floor no privacy, no door on bathroom, I felt like I was showering in the middle of the room.
Unable to change room temperature unless by contacting front desk so they could remove lock control.
Staff is very helpful & does there best dealing with issues.
Since We come twice a year to Antwerpen for business I would like to feel comfortable at a hotel 🏨.
Not sure if I would recommend the hotel to others & will looks fo4 other options in the future

Old hotel located in the city center. My room was huge but my colleagues had tiny rooms.
Rooms where ok but nothing special and they qhere quite cold. No flip/flops in the room nor could one found some at reception.
Breakfast was good.

Thought the room was clean and bed comfortable. Shower glass panel failed to stop water escaping onto the floor when showering. Plenty of towels required! No mini bar as fridge was absent in our room and I found the TV too big for the room. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay in this hotel located close to Central Station offering free breakfast with reasonable choices.

. Up to now my daughter talking about .
When i call the front desk and complain about .is reply was that only Tomorrow they can fix it .

Very close to the central train station, walking distance to the main shopping and restaurants area.
The specific room had few issues:
1. The valve to adjust the water temperatue of the shower/bath was stuck - but a maintenanace guy came quickly and fixed it.
2. There was no safe in the room, althogh it was one of our requirements.
3. The door could not be locked.

horrible, dirty smelly room (806), water marks and staining all down the wall from the air conditioner, a bedroom floor which was covered in peoples hairs AND NO HOT WATER at 8am in the morning when getting ready for the day ahead. Phoned 11 to complain and got told I could borrow a key to another room, no time for messing about like that! Boiled a kettle and swore to stop using hotels.com as so often when i book with them I get the most awful room possible from the hotel!

Good hotel close to center.

The hotel is located very close to the main pedestrian mall of Antwerp and within reasonable walking distance to Grote Markt. Rubens museum within 10-15 min. walk.

The hotel is a bit old, but not to the point that the room was worn down.

Breakfast was reasonable, but noisy (bad acoustics) and since the hotel was full we needed to select a seating time.

We got a double room - which was great. First they gave us a two-single beds, in a significantly smaller room; my review would have been less favorable if we were left in that room.

The hotel is within walking distance to the Jewish community - synagogues and kosher food.
The rooms have regular keys on top of the electronic ones. We did not check if you can actually get a key or this is left over from previous days - but it may solve a problem on Shabat.

It was a horrible experience. The room was dirty, the air conditioning unit didn't work, the light fixtures also did not work. When we advised the receptionist, we were told that there wasn't anything that they could do for us. Luckily we were only there for one night, but I will advise anyone to not stay there at all. We had rented two rooms that evening and both rooms were the same condition, just awful.

Great Hotel across the street from the train station. Arrived very early after a trans Atlantic flight, room was not ready yet (10am), advised to go have some morning drink & come back in 1 hour. Returned & room as ready, YEA !!!!!. Room very nice, great bed, room faced the main street but was very quiet. Breakfast the next morning was very good. Would stay again.

Great location if you want to be close to the central station. Plenty of places to eat and drink near by.
About 20mins walk to old town and around 10mins to shopping area, easy to reach.
This hotel is very dated and tired. The bed was uncomfortable and way to soft, unless you like that.

Unfortunate decision making by manager

On a short business trip, loved the location but didn't appreciate being charged for a full breakfast just for having coffee with an associate. I didn't argue the matter with the front desk person who made sure I was charged a full breakfast, I instead will make my story be known and stay elsewhere from now on.

Very good staff to be honest. Just a normal hotel.

Excellent staff. Let me just say that. Don't look at the rooms online. They are nothing, I mean nothing like that!
The staff is why I would go back. Super nice. Super helpful. The manager during the day is a super good guy who helped me with many requests. The young guys working the desk are very helpful as well.
The breakfast was ok. Nothing special but good! The girl working breakfast is super friedndly as well. So again, I would go back yes.

The location is super as its right outside the Central Station. The breakfast was okay and the room size was fine. The downside: the hotel is a bit worn down. You can tell by the cracks/stains. The bed was super soft which Im not a fan of. Fortunately, I was tired enough to fall asleep. Someone - presumably the cleaning person - opened my door at 9 am. No knock, just striaght up opened the door which obviously startled me. The person immediately then closed the door. I think ita common courtesy to knock before entering. The front staff was overall nice with the exception of one lady who was very rude.

amazing place if you don't care about cleanliness

Hotel condition was terrible. Shower railing falling apart. Sink blocked. Dirty carpets so I had to keep my shoes on. Shower curtains filthy with mould growth. Breakfast terrible and too busy to even get a seat.

Convienient but not so clean

I found an insect crawling on the bed. It was the size and shape of an apple seed, was reddish brown in color, did not fly or hop, but scurried rather quickly. I put it in the plastic cup from the bathroom with the cellophane covering it. I asked the manager if he knew what it was. He dismissed me rather rudly. There was also residue of shaved hair in the bathtub. The location was great for a train traveler.

Overrated hotel

I have been surprised negatively to see the disconnect between the stars this hotel has and the reality of the service. Room was extremely noisy both due to the noise coming from the inside due to poor door insulation and outside - my opinion is that a room next to the ventilation system of the hotel should not even be booked out unless 100% sound proof windows are installed. Another aspect that I found inconvenient is that I left the towel on the bathroom floor to be changed, only to find them on the rack next day. At check out I had not even a simple question whether I enjoyed my stay or not, I was simply presented with the bill and wished a nice day. Most likely not returning there.

the hotel is nice and very close to the Centraal Station, which is a site to see in itself. The walk to old town is pleasant and not too far.
