Great staff, room newly decorated and clean. Lovely hotel generally. Just to be aware, there was a little noise from the bar across the road late evening and early morning moving chairs and tables. We only heard the noise because we had the window open as the room was very warm and air con appeared to be switched off. Would recommend this hotel as very reasonably priced for room and breakfast.

Went to this hotel because of its proximity to the Louis Vuitton Foundation - I was going to the David Hockney exhibition. It was perfect for that - a 15 minute walk but it was in a lovely area with lots of small restaurants and a Franprix very close by. Easy to get from CDG airport (change from RER to the metro at Chatelet). I will use the hotel again when visiting Paris - a welcome find.

Clean room, a bit tight with luggages but many storage shelves helped organizing stuff. Secure underground parking (€20/day) is 2-3 min by foot. No problem with mid size SUV. WiFi works good. Nothing luxury but everything we needed was there.

One night in Paris!
Our stay at Hotel Charlamagne was extremely pleasant. We were there for a night but we were catered to very well. We arrived way later than the check in time and the staff were professional and welcoming. As we were with a baby, we asked for a baby cot in advance and it was given to us with no issue.
The room was spacious and the bathroom was clean. The staff were polite and very helpful. Needed to keep our buggy safe and they did so again without issue. I would say the lift was quite small but it was working so thats a win.

Hotel Charlemagne situated in neuilly -sur-seine. Just off a main road. Hotel was typical French type hotel very close to metro station to get to wherever. Hotel was basic but spotlessly clean. Staff were very helpful especially arranging my transfer to airport and printing off our boarding passes. There is a lovely huge park called Bois du Boulogne within a 15 minute walk. Would stay here again as hotel was fine for what we needed and in a nice area close to metro station

This hotel appears quite basic but is really so comfortable and clean. It has very good local restaurants and although in a suburb out from the centre it is two stops on the metro. Or, you could take the lovely walk all the way down to the Arc de Triomphe. I would stay again.

I had business in the area but we also wanted to do some sight-seeing. The Metro is very convenient and is a direct line to the Arc de Triomphe etc (which you can see in the distance looking down the road) although we just took a taxi into the centre from a taxi rank on the main road. It was mid-January but the French still have Christmas decorations up which was very pleasant. The hotel room was \"bijou\", which is typical for Paris from what I've seen, but we had no complaints. There are plenty of restaurants in the area - you can't move for Sushi if that's your thing (it isn't ours!) - but plenty of other choices.

Hotel is situated literally 30 sec walk for Pont Neuilly Metro stop and only 3 stops from Central Paris and Arc De Triomph. Staff were helpful when promted but not overly engaging. Rooms are basic but again it was clean and location makes up for room size. Lots of restaurants nearby but be warned not a lot goes on on a Sunday !!

Great surprise that it is only a 2 minute walk from the Metro. The staff are very helpful and the front desk is attended 24 hours. The rooms, whilst not large are big enough for two if you are tidy, are in immaculate condition and well decorated. The bathroom is small but well appointed and the shower is very strong. A great open air bar directly opposite is a nice touch for the end of the day NB it is very quiet even when full. There's a supermarket and laundromat within a minutes walk. Plenty of choices for restaurants, brasseries, bars within a 10 to 15 minutes walk. A Velib point is a 2 minutes walk away. Very nice local feel.

I became absolutely enraged because of the Wi-fi system : the name and passcode made of 8 characters changed everyday and had to be reset every 10 minutes ; Impossible to convince the Manager that this is not acceptable .

We had a triple room on the ground floor, and it was tiny. They squeezed in a double bed which was reasonably comfortable, along with a pull out cot which was not. Also a dressing table and tv, the former being a bit hard to use due to lack of space. Not much room to walk around/store luggage after all that! Free WiFi on offer, but impossible to access from our particular ground floor room, so we had to go out into the lounge every time. (It also wouldn't let us make online payments, though we could in our other French hotel.)
That said, room and bathroom were reasonably clean, room was warm, facilities were on par with other 3 star hotels, and the staff, especially the night manager were very helpful. The hotel is two minutes walk from the metro station, with a few restaurants also within a short walking distance.

After reading all the previous reviews, we've expected a completely different picture of a hotel and its rooms. Most of the reviewers were commenting about the beauty of the hotel, its coziness etc. I would probably not recommend staying in this hotel, unless you are really have to spend a little amount of dollars per room. If you can afford a bit more expensive range,I am sure it would be worth it, especially when average price for the room in Paris is like way more... However, if you are looking for something just to come late at night, have a sleep and get out, this would be the ideal option.

Quiet, clean and comfortable
Hotel Charlemagne is quiet, clean and comfortable. It's a 30 minute brisk walk away from the Arc de Triomphe along one straight road. The road is littered with bars and restaurents. The Metro is very close to the hotel, so you can reach the Arc; the Louvre and the Tuileries in about 10 minutes. I would definitely stay here again. Yes, the decor is a big tatty but who cares? We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as like all hotels, it is overpriced. All the the staff we came into contact with were friendly and helpful.

We had a very lovely stay at Charlemagne. Even if the hotel is not in the very city centre, it right next to a metro station and the neighbourhood itself is very nice. 25 min walk to Arc de Triomphe / 20 min walk to Grand Arche. The room was very simple but clean, new towels every day. We decided to eat breakfast in the city therefore I won't be able to comment on the breakfast served in the hotel. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place.

In the quiet environment of Neuilly area, you may find fairly good accomodations around the hotel. Very high cost performance you may feel from your stay. Around ten minutes by using metro from the very central part of Paris city, it is confortable.

I appreciated the friendly staff and nice surrounding neighborhood. Our room was extremely small for 3 people. There was barely enough room for the beds and then our luggage. The carpet needs to be cleaned and our mattress was concave in the center. We should have asked for another room but we honestly were so tired from the all day excursions that we just didn't care by the time we reached our bed at night. Again, the staff are very nice and we very much appreciate their courtesy.
