Room was spotless- and perfect location for the airport. The pools were clean and the beaches were peaceful. I was very happy they had shampoo and conditioner as I forgot mine- and I made sure to leave all of my extras for the next person. I would stay here again the next time we come to the island.

The property is beautiful and the staff is friendly and professional. Condo 203A has not been updated since the 80s. The doorknob is dented and caused us to be locked out upon arrival. The area rug in the living room, was filthy. I don't think it has ever been shampooed. I had planned on cooking; however the inside of the pots were scratched and the baking sheet was rusty. The ceiling fan in the bedroom, screeched all night - I had to play the tv to drown it out so I could sleep. The shower head was green with corrosion. The stove knobs was covered in grease. The sponge to wash dishes was brown & worn. The holder for the sponge was filled with mold. I wish I could attach the photos I took.

To say this was a terrible property would be a compliment. The pictures offered when booking are definitely false advertising. There was not a king size bed as described. I guess the world’s worst mattress didn’t come in a king. I would have preferred a deflated air mattress that had been peed on by several cats. The best thing about the place is the fact that the insect inhabitants didn’t bite. Worst place I’ve ever stayed. Seriously, stay elsewhere if you can.

The condo was in j great condition, the grounds are beautiful! The pool was great and private but If you want to use the beach don’t book due to no water access. They have a beautiful view but the seaweed is bad and in no rain times it smells horrific.

This was a great choice for me!
I was traveling with an older male teenager and a younger female teenager.
Even they had a great time. The condo itself was laid out well and was well appointed with everything we needed. The washing machine and dryer worked perfectly and were clean. The oven, stove top and microwave oven were perfectly clean. Everything was in fine order!
The property is gated at the front entrance and any Beach entrances along with security cameras. The beach and the water were beautiful. The pool was inviting and clean and well lit or evening swims. Truly there's too much to list. Like I said it was a condo not a hotel. I was able to make my experience here with my children spectacular. I would highly recommend this location.

The view and location were great. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Office hours were somewhat restricted, but that can be expected around a holiday.
Recent updates to the unit were positive, but it still needs some work. The sliding glass screens were in disrepair. There was no central air in the unit, which was livable if warm in December, but I would not go back in the summer. The bedrooms had individual window AC units which worked,well, but were noisy. The furniture was in good repair. The wifi and TVs worked fine. The pool was good, and there was a beach in front that was easily accessible. Water pressure was poor on the third floor. Overall, the unit was well supplied with dishes, silverware, other utensils. Even a couple of coolers for shopping and lunches. All appliances worked well.

The pool was clean. I liked that there were 2 restaurants within walking distance on the beach. The condition of the condo I stayed in was terrible! The unit needed major cleaning and updating. They had paper toweling crammed in the hole for the sliding patio door where there should have been a handle. Most furniture was either moldy or broken. I could continue on with everything that was wrong. Would never stay there again, which is too bad because the location and the views from the property were awesome.

No one was there when we arrived from the airport. I had to take 2 teenage girls to a bar with our luggage to wait for someone to be at the property. The condition of the condo was poor. Broken and loose floor tile, missing drywall, stained drapes and so much more disappointment.

We got to the resort the room smelled bad we finally got the smell out then find all the ants everywhere in the room then found out nothing works phone WiFi but the island is great would go again but will find another place to stay

Adequate for beach vacation

Secure hotel on beach with well kept pool and pretty grounds. Simple decor. No door on en suite master bathroom in the unit we used. Ten minutes from Christianstad boardwalk and 25 minutes from .

Cleaning service needed.

As seniors, we requested lower level floor, and we got top level floor walk up 3rd floor.
Toilet seat broken in one bath, requested replacement 4 times before in was replaced.
The window air cond was covered in dust as well as the room fans and door jams.
The fridge had not been wiped out from the last visitor. The condo needed a good cleaning service. We did receive clean towels daily and sheets were changed after the first week.

Avoid 304A. This room is in serious need of renovating. I've stayed at this property a few times but this room is a joke. For the price per night, the owners could at least fix the doors, or the bathroom, or the AC units or the kitchen area. Something, anything....unit looks like nothing was ever done to it.

Two window units in bedroom werre notsufficient to keep the place comfortable. One bedroom was great, with balcony and big bed and tv. But too bad the other person had no balcony, a twin bed, and no tv. The whole idea of a suite was lost because the living room and kitchen were so hot.

Quiet setting in ideal location.

Our stay couldn't have been better. The rooms were clean. The pool was sparkling, and the beach and ocean were only steps away. It was also a gated community with security people present and felt safe. It was quiet even with then man competition was going on.

Colony Cove visit

Average accommodations, great staff, decent pool area. Not much beach area, snorkeling is not good at this location as there is extremely thick sea grass for about 200 yards.

ants everywhere in the. beach not what we expected

no public transportation. rent a car or you'll go broke paying for taxi's! not much to do near the condo. snorkeling, jet skiing, buck island. not too many nice beaches that we found especially near the condo

Good location close to town. Friendly and accommodating staff. I was here on business but it would be a better place to stay with the family. On a decent beach, nice beach bars and restaurants close by. I booked here thinking it was another condo/hotel that I had stayed in before. Found out it was actually a bit better.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Goes out of their way to make sure your visit is a good one. Condo starting to show it's age, but they are in the process of renovating a number of the rooms. This is our 3rd stay, and we will be back.

The staff at this place was wonderful! Liz, Debbie, Agnes and the rest!!! They could not have been nicer or more helpful!!

Our condo was great. We came with our 20 something daughter and neice. The 2 bedrooms and bathrooms were great! A nice kitchen so we could get some groceries and have breakfast snacks, etc. Plenty of dishes, glasses, and cooking stuff! Mind you the complex is oider but well kept. There is AC in the bedrooms but not in the living room. We managed! The pool was a few short steps away as was the beach. The beach was not the prettiest in St. Croix but there are SO many others on the island, if you have a car it is NO problem! We would go back in a minute!

The few interactions we had with staff were pleasant and welcoming. They take their not well advertised no pet policy very seriously with threatening phone calls about my son's day visit with his tiny dog. Word from some residents is that one can claim a pet a 'service animal' and bring them in. Resident neighbors were noisy with a remodel and a barking 'service dog'. We did take another reviewer's recommendation and requested bldg D, which I'd say is a must to get a room on the ocean front. Not much beach right in front, but nice to either side. Interior was fine though a bit run down. Bedrooms have AC but the breeze was enough to not need it. The kitchen cabinets had a strong moldy smell - had to wash everything before we used it. All in all a mediocre place to stay, given the cost. I'd not stay here again. Wherever you stay we can't say enough about the food and staff at Salud, about 5 minutes from Colony Cove. The best food we have eaten in years!

Not impressed

A changing room is advertised for clients leaving after checkout time. The rooms (mens & womens) were both disgusting- no shower heads, no soap, no hot water, & filthy. Also there was no where to keep or lockup your luggage as advertised. The pool is quite nice. View from oceanfront is beautiful, great breezes. Housekeeping does not go out of their way to clean- do not seem to know if you are staying or checking out- would ask us if we knew our neighbors checked out or are there- poor communication between management & staff. Units need updating.

The beach was almost unusable because of the seaweed.
The room was nice and had a very nice view. Pool was clean and rarely busy. The room was well supplied with appliances and utensils and dishes.
Would definitely reccomend renting a car.

We were promised a front ocean beach. We were far in the back. The condo was very out dated and could had been cleaned better. Their were many, many cracks etc. Every morning when I woke up I had black sticky stuff on all of my nails. Couldn't get into the pacfic why I don't know. Paid more for the back condo then if we had front ocean beach view.
Ladies in office were nice.

Colony Cove - No frills at best

Not really a resort. More like a no frills condo at best. Although the property was nice, the room had a lot to be desired. The king bed was two twin beds put together with a spanner connecting the two. Not comfortable at all. The phone number at the gate kept ringing when we got there and we were stuck an the entrance until I called Hotels.com customer service which gave us an alternate number to use which got use the security guard who let us in.

Skip it. Head to Club St. Croix next door.

Right when we walked in it was clear this whole place needed some TLC. Our unit, as with virtually all of them, had A/C in the bedrooms only (not enough). And if you want an ocean view you have to stay in Unit D or you'll get a lovely view of disintegrating plaster. We decided to try next door at Club St. Croix, and were very pleased to find A/C in ALLLL the rooms. We stayed in a spacious one-bedroom suite that was in MUCH better shape than our previous room, plus the beach was area was nicer. The service was also significantly better-- more than willing to accommodate us, even matching our rate we had arranged with colony cove. IDK why they are rated the same, club st croix is by far a better stay.

Superb Family Getaway!!!

Colony Cove was a very relaxing, feel right at home resort. I felt very safe and secure there, and the rooms were absolutely wonderful. Anytime that I will be visiting St. Croix again, I will definately be staying there :)

Got key stuck in lock and was locked out after office had already closed.
Handle on sliding glass door broke off it was so corroded.
Another slider wouldn't open at all.
Found large cockroach in kitchen one night.
Lost power in unit for an entire day and once restored only part of the unit had power.
Beach was small and very full of seaweed so it wasn't pleasant to swim in.
Rooms were old and needed updating badly.
Cleanliness was not a top priority.
The only good things were that it was close to downtown, the staff was friendly and once I changed to another resort, they authorized a refund for the nights I couldn't stay with them after the power outage.

Friendly, small, perfect location

I had a great week at Colony Cove - we were in Unit 102D - right on the water. Because it was off season, there were only a few others there. I had the pool and the beach all to myself most of the time. Very nice staff, would highly recommend if all you want is to swim, snorkel and relax! Very reasonable price!

This 2 BR, 2 BA, 2nd floor unit was clean and well maintained. The MBR was larger and had a bath attached and the other BR used the hall bath. Both BR's had QN beds. The beachfront and pool area were well taken care of as well and the property was within walking distance of 2 restaurants, one being next door. This unit had a full kitchen with a washer & dryer, dishwasher, microwave, internet and satellite TV. AT&T 3G is receivable on 90% of the island.

Beautiful and newly renovated.

These are condos and although they don't offer anything other than a place to stay, it was all the comforts of home. The maids were very sweet, helpful and did a good job of cleaning. We were right on the beach. There are 2 restaurants very close so what more do we need? Christianstad is only a 5 minute ride so we didn't even rent a car. Cabs are only a phone call away and are quick to show up when needed. Colony Cove is a wonderful place to just take it easy and relax. They also have a beautiful pool area and the security made us feel very safe.

Nice Location

The condo was nice and the staff very friendly. We just wished that the owners of these condos kept them up better. We had friends that stayed in 2 others at the same location they felt the same as we did. A little maintanence each year would go a long way. We would stay here agian but I wouldn't rate it higher then 3 stars.

Es handelt sich hier um kein Hotel sondern um eine Apartmentanlage welche vermietet wird.
Die Wohnungen groß und mit allem ausgestattet.
Der Strand ist ganz ok aber kein \"WAU\" Effekt.
Supermarkt in der Nähe und auch 2 Restaurants welche ganz toll sind - vor allem das Breezez - aber trotzdem benötigt man ein Auto.
