This property was the worst ever. The bed sheets was black and nasty the bathtub has mold and the room smelled like mold. Property was a mess and everything was stained. The front counter was not responding to the rooms and i left and got a refund. While i was getting my refund 4 other families that had just gotten there returned to the office to get a refund as well. I had never seen such a nasty hotel in my life!

Rooms were dirty. There was dirt all over the floor, my family also stayed in different rooms and their bed sheets were stained and so we’re some of our towels. The shower had some grime or something in it doesn’t look like the rooms get cleaned up in my opinion. When we arrived we had one already opened shampoo bottle in the shower, the hair dryer also wasn’t working I was going to call them but the room phone wasn’t even connected but the worker ended up bringing us a new dryer and shampoos. I’d recommend somewhere more neat and clean/sanitary. I was expecting at least what we saw in the pictures when booking and for it being a “nice” place to stay near the base it was the complete opposite respectfully.

I was very disappointed with the room first the bath room didn't smell good it smell like pee on the floor and around the bath tub had mold i got two beds the first bed i notice the sheets weren't cleaned the sheet all the way to the bottom ones the room need to be air freshener .The only reason why i book this place it was near to the air force base .They need to improved on the toilet make sure its cleaned properly and check the linens.

Rooms are not stocked. And by that I mean I couldn't even get a paper cup for my coffee, which was only decaf anyway. I didn't get the room cleaned at all one day (not by request) and had to ask to towels. The pool is bone dry. The shower is smaller than the size of my refrigerator (NOT an exaggeration). No hair dryer. Trash and broken glass in the parking lot. Comically small breakfast options. Not even any coffee in the lobby. The AC was exceptionally loud. There were dirty linenes left outside for over 24 hours. Honestly the whole experience was pretty wild. May be close to Lackland, but would advise to stay pretty much anywhere else and drive a few minutes more.

The towels hanging on the towel holder literally looked like they had dried blood on them. There was small debris on the bed. The shower base was encrusted with what looked like years of lime build up. There were stains on the sheets. There was a smoke detector mount with wires in it and I could not find the actual smoke detector. Outside, the "EXIT" red lighted sign was smashed and a dystopic flashing light was going non-stop. The whole place was gross. What made me really upset was the place they went me to was a separate building. The front building looks nice. When I checked in, they had me cross a bridge and go to a separate, totally crappier set of buildings behind the front building that looked much older and nastier. Totally gross, the grossest I have ever stayed in. I didn't bother to contest it because I had to be in that location and had no time to lose sleep due to an early event.

Disgusting, the room was dirty when we got there and there was roaches in the room. It was so bad that there was a roach on my six month old baby. I had to freak out on the front desk. It was disgusting and it looks rundown and there’s a lot of homeless people living under the bridge right next to it.

The best thing I can say about this place is, the location was wonderful for getting on and off of the base. Other than that, a few newer amenities but most of the place is rundown. Sink didn’t drain, no lamps, floor is dirty, no telephone, made service only came when asked. And wasn’t even clean at check in, other than sheets and towels.

First off, the staff was very nice and helpful.
However, upon arriving, we had to ask for new sheets as ours were stained brown. The cover had small cigarette burns in it.
The room near the bed was super clean. However, the bathroom appeared to not have been cleaned in a few days. The drain in the shower did not drain properly, and the water never got hot.

I was driving 21 hours to see my son graduate into the US Space Force. I chose La Quinta Inn because of their reputation and I'm so sorry that i did.
The room did not look like the pictures online. It was bare and cold.... no decoration or color on the wall like the pictures. The room left much to me desired. You got a top and bottom sheet but no blanket. The floor was filthy and turned our socks black. The coffee maker didn't work. The ice makers in the whole place did not work so you couldn't have anything cold to drink. To top it all off the property had trash laying around and parts of second floor walkway was rotting.
I know that things don't always look like they advertise but i expect a clean place with items that work.

The staff was OK; not the friendliest, but that could have been due to a language barrier. However, the room could have been a little cleaner and when I first turned on the water in the bathtub, rust started coming out of the faucet. You can work on the amenities to accommodate us a little better. No I did not report any of my displeasure’s but I wish I would have because I noticed that my face and skin started breaking out after my stay.

You get what you pay for. Bed is not comfortable. It's the old spring king mattress. AC works fine. Marks on the walls. Biggest disappointment was the bathroom. The bath tub area has small stand up shower while the other side is walled off. I'm 5'9" 300lbs and couldn't bend over to wash my legs and nothing to prop my foot up on.
TV powered on with Audio only, no screen.

Would not stay again.

First- I stayed there 3 years ago and the parking lot is still is in terrible repair, pot hole and a big hole in the lot.
Second- i had to change rooms, due to the shower wouldn't turn on.
Third- The room I stayed in had MOLD in the shower on the walls., The water was so slow to drain in both the shower and sink.
Forth- One bed cover was stained.
Fifth- There was a big hole in one wall, several stains on the walls, a cable was running along the wall.

I would not recommend this hotel. i have stayed at several of these chain hotels thru the years and this has to be the worst one.

We had to switch rooms because the door was broken, 1 minute after entering the new room all of our feet were dirty black. We had to hop in the shower immediately and create a trail to our beds with towels so we wouldn’t have to step on the dirty floor. You get what you pay for its okay for a last resort, it wouldve been better if house keeping actually did their work.

It was not what the pictures showed period at all but close the room is not even the same picture the bed has springs picking out no joke!! Very uncomfortable!! Floor for my 3 year old grandsons socks blank. It was too dirty to let my gson play on that floor!!! The people that work there were nice tho.

Was located within walking distance of Lackland for a good price. Room was decent sized. Shower is small and impractically laid out bathroom. Good sized bed with stiff pillows. Good live tv options. Pool was very nice but only one was working. On my check in day I let the lady know I would need to do a late checkout and she said that would be ok. To just come down the day of checkout to let them know and if they don’t need the room I wouldn’t need to pay the fee. I go down and let a different lady know and she tells be she’ll have to ask her manager. I sit in the lobby for 30 minutes and got no response. I go back to the room and my husband calls and they say that they will not be able to do late checkout we ended up having to book the room for one more day. It appeared very clean with some wear and tear but we did find a very large roach in one of our towels. That was quite the scare.

Small things that stand out to visitors

I loved every that I had talked to. The only complaints I really have is 226 needs a new shower head the water pressure is to high for that small shower head it sounds like it’s going to pop off and high you in the head. And the door to get into the room needs to be fixed and I saw that a lot of the doors where the same it looks like someone was trying to brake in at one point and I was traveling alone it made me feel a little unsafe.

Super kind and friendly Staff, convenient location, air conditioner worked great, microwave and refrigerator in the room, USB plugs in the rooms, no problem with hot water, black out blinds, basics were met with no problem. Adequately comfortable beds

Cons:
Mold in the bathroom that could be easily treated with some bleach but wasn't, the shower head was covered in calcium deposits from hard water and not cleaned in a while, there was a spray of water coming from the actual pipe linking the shower head to the wall, the caulking in the bathroom also showed mold. The breakfast was extremely limited, the juice dispenser didn't look sanitary, overall feeling of 'yuck' when it came to cleanliness in some areas, although I must say even the expensive hotels in San Antonio don't appear to be clean these days...Some rooms were missing chairs and/or hair dryers.

Its location to the Air Force base was excellent which is why we chose it. Compared to every other La Quinta Ive stayed in it was really bad. A motel 6 would have been better.I don’t think it’s been painted in ten years, the breakfast was really sparse with things to eat and the waffle maker burnt it. I’ve seen better patio furniture in a homeless camp. Not a good representation for La Quinta Inns.

Old /Rundown. Had slam the door several times to get it to shut when leaving for events. Had daylight coming through the door. Tub wouldn't drain, No toaster for Toast/bagels. Ran out of items for breakfast and kitchen staff taking items away as guest trying to get something to eat.

La Nasty Quinta Lackland AFB

La Quinta should NOT have their name on this deplorable property. We were greeted and checked in prompltly which was great. That's the reason for the 1 star.

There is only ONE swimming pool, not 2 as advertised. Pool #2 had standing water in it which was disgusting.

The condition of the room was equally disgusting. Here is a rundown of the conditions (see photos):
- mold in the shower
- human hair around the sink
- missing smoke detector in room
- missing fire extinguisher outside room
- missing light bulbs in lamps
- damage to walls (paint, drywall, etc.)
- damage to floor molding
- missing artwork with exposed hardware
- no tissues provided
- paper thin towels (rough texture)
- bathroom door was falling off hinges
- stains on headboard

We booked at the last minute and got a good price. I feared for our health and safety.
