I found the check in experience to be very frustrating. Supposedly as a VIP Gold Expedia member I can get early check in and upgrades if possible as loyalty perks. Not only coukd I not check in early, but I had to wait a further 15 minutes after the official check in. And then I was given what have been the most undesirable room in the building..literally in the basement. Two small beds and no windows.oh one that looked into the hallway.
The room was clean but really pretty basic for the price you pay….and breakfast wasn’t even included..I was glad I was only staying one night.

We arrived very late, around midnight, and didn’t realize that the reception on this side was already closed. However, we were able to check in at the Almasur Hotel next to the express. The staff at Almasur were extremely friendly and helpful—much more so than the express reception.
Unfortunately, we had a flat tire, and the Almasur hotel staff went out of their way to assist us by calling local tire shops on our behalf. Since it was Saturday, many shops were unavailable, but they kindly allowed us to leave our car in their parking lot until we could get the tire fixed, which helped us tremendously.
The express hotel room itself was cozy. While not very large and with a bed on the smaller side, it is quite new and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend the Almasur Hotel to my family and friends, and I would happily stay here again if I return.

The shower piping was leaking badly with minimal water flow from the shower head, drain was not draining properly, the sink had a leak in it, the bed had a bunk bed across the head of the lower beds…. Sqecky as my son weighes 180 lbs… over all bad but for the money

Does not stack equivalent to other 4 star hotels we stay in. The bed was very uncomfortable, and we flew red eye to arrive in Punta Arenas, should have fallen asleep in seconds. The shower drain was very slow, i had to start and stop the showers multiple times to avoid flooding. Not worth the hassle on a vacation

When we checked in at the regular check in time, they assigned us a room that had not been cleaned. Then they reassigned us to a room that was occupied. The third time they assigned us a room that did not have any toilet paper or toiletries. We left the property without spending the night and they did not offer a refund.

The bathroom is very tiny so much so that washing your hands in the sink proves impossible .
The “full” breakfast is mediocre . We’ve been having breakfasts included in all our hotels during this trip. Almasur’s serves the same exact foods but the quality and taste is sub-par. The scrambled eggs might as well been called soup. Coffee is just brown colored water . Etc .
And the front desk staff is anything but welcoming. The man was pushy; not all suited for his role at the front desk.

The hotel is clean and comfortable in general. Sound proof great.Our room felt claustrophobics, a wall to watch from our window. When we have been travelling for 2 weeks, you expect better ... The only good pastry at breakfast , was a slide of kuchen, that was gone a min later when I wanted a piece. I asked the staff if they would bring more...He said yes. I waited for 15 min , to be told no more. A giant hotel offering a small kuchen ( it was 8:40 am) The bread quality and pastries no good. I tried better pastries and bread in other hotels

There is no hot tub! This is falsely advertised. I asked the front desk about it, they chuckled and said they don’t have it anymore. We booked this hotel after a 5 day hike, specifically to relax in the hot tub. We were very disappointed that it didn’t exist.

They also provide you with a WhatsApp number for the front desk, that no one ever responds to. We called for room service at least 10 times from the room phone with no pick up, same with the front desk.

We stayed for 2 days and they never refilled our coffee pods for our coffee maker.

On a positive note, the hotel is clean and the restaurant was very good. We didn’t have a bad experience but we were disappointed several times with service and false advertising.

This hotel was good. Located right in town, front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable. The only issue I had was with kitchen staff. I’m vegetarian and asked for a packed lunch to be made for me to take on one of my tours. They assured me I would get a cheese sandwich and even showed me the ticket where they wrote “cheese sandwich, no ham” on it for the kitchen staff. Lo and behold the next day when I got my lunch, there was ham in the sandwich and I couldn’t eat it.

The room is not sound proofed at all and we were woken up multiple times at night because of shouting on the streets and people walking by.

Also our room, 419, has a window that faced toward a shaft. It smells funny and also we are just meters away from another window from another room and it felt incredibly awkward.

Oh btw the sink is so tiny whenever you wash your hand the water spilled absolute everywhere in the ground.




A 4 star hotel with no window and give off dungeon vibe... DONT COME

Lovely property and location with wonderful staff. Unfortunately ruined by false advertising of a gym, spa, sauna and hot tub which were not there. They were being refurbished and gutted it. When I approached ri check out early to find a hotel with a gym as I always need a gym, they refused a refund. I left early anyway. Expedia did try to help but nothing from the hotel. Also of note, a very noisy room and hard to sleep.

Excelente hotel

Me encantó el hotel, realmente cómodo y confortable. La atención del personal, excepcional. La comodidad de la cama y el confort vale la pena. Las habitaciones cuentan con escritorio, perchero, pequeña nevera y tv. El baño es algo angosto, pero tiene jabón y lociones, también cuenta con secador de pelo. Lo único malo es que se escucha el ruido de los pasillos, por eso no le doy puntuación máxima. Está en una excelente ubicación, puedes ir caminando a distintos lugares de la ciudad, el terminal de buses está a 10min y el aeropuerto a 20min.

Hotel is fine, spa is not

The hotel is clean but pretty average, nothing much to write home about.

If you're like us and specifically booked this place because of the sauna/hot tub after a long day of hiking, you're going to be very disappointed. It costs 20k Pesos (20USD) and even if you book the spa in advance they will not preheat anything, so well before anything gets to temperature, they will start shoving you out because your hour is up.

Dining room is not very good. I specified how I wanted my steak cooked (medium) and they sent it out raw. It was absolutely disgusting and when I tried to send it back and get something else instead, they wanted to charge me for 2 meals. Manager had gone home so there was no one to appeal to. Would not recommend eating at their restaurant.

We were assigned a room that did not have a real window to the outside which was a negative. Additionally the room was hot and we could not find the thermostat or cool it down for easy sleeping. Restaurant was good and facilities were generally good although the spa was being repaired. Staff at the front desk was all business and didn’t address our concerns for late checkout or identifying lunch options or early coffee options. Generally a good stay but missed on some of the pluses we would expect.

The hotel was at full capacity and the staff seemed totally unprepared for this. At check in we were given a room that was occupied (Imagine the shock of walking into a room after an hour in reception to find it dirty, with other people’s stuff!). Breakfast was lackluster and the staff insisted on charging it although it was clearly stated it was included in the reservation. Definitely not recommending or returning
