My initial room (28) had an efficient Air Con, but was dusty and had faulty sockets. The bathroom was old, cracked and unmaintained. Appallingly, there were a lot of toilet flies in my room, and the room to my right was being renovated, so there was constant hammering, drilling .. I was then moved to Room 411, which was spacious, had a lounge and was nice. However, the Air Con in that room/lounge was ineffective/hot air blowing, and the bathroom had black mould on the ceiling!! Also my room was entered into when I was away (not minding the Do Not Disturb signage on my door - which didn’t sit well with me). 2 staff members: Kamal and Rabie helped me out, and made the stay a tad better.

We had a lovely stay here! Thank you to all the staff at DellaRosa who contributed to us having an amazing time in Marrakech. In particular, Baashir was a friendly face that welcomed us into the hotel, Mohammed helped us throughout the day and Karim made our poolside experiences enjoyable with excellent service! I’d definitely stay here again.

Took our money for the booking, my elderly and vulnerable parents had their flight changed (through no fault of their own) and arrived late. The hotel decided to charge us the full week stay and cancel the booking. The man at reception was rude, helpful and enjoyed gloating that we had lost our money. The hotel then removed my parents from the property and left them on the street - tired, alone and exhausted. Disgusting behaviour. Avoid this fraud of a hotel at all costs. Should be closed down.

Exceptional, outstanding, very warm and beautiful

This our first visit to Marrakech. The hotel and staff were really helpful and pleasant and friendly. Room was upgraded by the staff which we were really grateful for. Cleanliness was exceptional. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast as there was a good variety of options. El Hassan and the lady at the desk were amazing people and very hospitable. We did not think we could befriend them but we did and got on very well with them. They gave us respect and guided us throughout our stay. We can not fault the hotel in anyway and will return again in future.

Very nice staff at arrival. Nice welcome with tea offered etc. Shame about the room, which was in a very poor state, and very dirty - with dead insects under the window and a huge hair and fluff ball alongside the bed. The general state of the room - especially the bathroom (mouldy and with badly patched up repairs) - left a lot to be desired. When I complained about the dirty state of the room, the management changed rooms and gave us a clean one - with added touch of rose petals everywhere as an \"excuse us\". I advise to check state of cleanliness of room when you arrive.

Staff were very good and polite BUT the hotel was terrible in every sense. Booked 2 nights for a £100, the booking clearly stated double bed however it had 2 single beds, when i complained i was told nothing else was available and I had to make do, after insisting on a change i was asked to pay an additional £50 for a new room with a double bed.

Even the new room whilst it had a double bed was terrible, water leaking on to the floor when showering, AC dials all broken, just generally a bad experience.

The only positive were the staff.

Great hotel loved it!

What a great find, it's impossible to beat the price point for the quality of Dellarosa. Great and attentive staff that went above and beyond at every turn, the hotel has a great restaurant next door for breakfast and lunch along with a gym, pool and hammam on site. The only downside to the hotel (and this is slight) is it's a good 25-30 minute walk to Medina or Jemma which I didn't mind at all but for those less cardio inclined could be an issue.

good location which was an easy 20 minute walk from the old city centre. Nice, clean and secure.
I will say that the gym facilities are very poor so if that's what you are looking for, go elsewhere.
Also be smart with the small shops next to hotel as the prices seem to change every time you go in there for products that don't have prices written on them.
Finally pre book your airport transfer (not through hotel though) as I heard from guests who didn't pre book that the hotel was going to charge a lot and taxi drivers at the airport were insisting on high charges.
Overall a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend this location.

I stayed at Dellarosa prior to moving on to my wedding venue. The staff were very rude towards me. The whole of my stay I placed a do not disturb sign on my bedroom door because I didn't want any staff in there as I had wedding gift boxes, my rings, etc. On the last day when I was packing up, I noticed that 6 gift boxes were missing. I questioned the staff and at first, they were saying I was lying and that it's not possible. Eventually, after waiting around for an hour, they said they had spoken to the cleaning team and in fact, it was thrown away. When I asked to speak to the manager he rudely said well what do you want me to do about that. I explained they were bought in London and my wedding was in a few days and that I should be compensated as they should not have been in my room let alone throw away my stuff.

I did not need the stress before my wedding. Very rude and unprofessional.

Great hotel with amazing service. Decent food options at breakfast and dinner and lots of nice facilities. We were uograded to a large suite. The staff were so helpful and accomidating. Good interenet, water pressure, hot water, it was clean and well serviced! With-in walking distance of Medina and park. It had a number of Scandinavian groups staying at the time we were there. I would definetly stay again.

The quality of the Hotel was Okay. The price matched the quality. More a Business Hotel, than a 'destination' for tourists, as it really doesn't have the charms of a traditional Riad, or a luxury hotel. Very noisy corridors, so expect to hear your neighbours return or depart. Staff were okay - not bad or not great - Possibly more a cultural attitude than a reflection on the hotel. Breakfast was average.

Liked and appreciated the complimentary cookies and tea or hors d’oeuvres in the lobby. Loved the breakfasts. Uneven friendliness and helpful attitude at the front desk. Only way to plugin cell phone is to unplug bedside lamp. No other outlets. Maybe a plug-in to outlet that allows 2 devices to be plugged in simultaneously?

Wonderful stay at Dellarosa. Staff went extra mile to ensure our needs were met. We originally booked a standard room but this was too small for us so we had an upgrade to junior suite free of charge and a spa on the house! Nothing was too much trouble. Very happy would definately stay here again...beautiful hotel in a perfect location and proximity to restaurants and night life etc

Reception staff were very helpful and went out of their way to help us plan the rest of our trip around Morocco. Our 1st floor Standard room on our first night had a view of a wall and shabby bathroom. We were upgraded to a junior suite for our other nights which was great, light, spacious and a view over pool. Hotel quality varies by room. One room we had for first part of visit had run down bathroom with no curtain and broken drain, and moldy/missing caulking and main room with one small light. Second room was well lit and had well kept bathroom. Staff great even if giving incorrect information on prices or what Expedia rate includes (airport taxi price or New Years Eve dinner). Overall nice place in good location between upscale area and Medina.

Lovely Hotel in Marrakech

I stayed at the Hotel Dellarosa for almost a week, in a junior suite. It was a delightful hotel with friendly and helpful employees. I stayed on the 4th floor and found it quiet and comfortable. Although I was traveling with adults, there were several families at the hotel. There are 2 bars on site, a pool, a restaurant, and a small gift shop. For the price, you really cannot beat it. Should I return to Marrakech, I will stay at the Dellarosa Hotel.

Appeared to be some confusion at my check-in (lost reservation?) I then was given a room in the lower level (bsmt) which was right next to the outside exit/service entrance so frequent slamming/noise. Tv would not turn off the first night and bedside lamp did not work. By the second night, neither bedside lamps worked and it became evident that the electrical outlets were not operational!! When reported at checkout, I got an insincere \"sorry\"!! Also no shower curtain or enclosure!!

Hotel is located 15 minutes drive from the airport and within 15 minutes walk to all attractions. Hotel is beautifully decorated. Room was comfy but bathroom would do with some updating. There was free wifi and TV with movie channel. Coffe machine was in the room but no coffee provided. The only swimming pool is outside and is overlooked by reception/bar area so we didn't use it. Spa is great! We used it everyday and had private access to steam room and jacuzzi. Spa manager was very welcoming and friendly and made our stay extra special by showing us around and giving us tips on places to visit. Apart of breakfast which was included in price we didn't eat at the hotel but enjoyed local restaurants (quite cheap) and enjoyed street food at Medina. We are happy to return any time!

The stay was all that we needed, a place to stay for a night before our trip back. Nicely located close to the Gueliz malls. The only thing that we did not like was that the posting clearly states that it has an airport shuttle. However, the shuttle does not exist, only a taxi is called for which you have to pay a regular fare.

Overcharged $60 in fees; dirty old hotel - AVOID

I don't have anything good to say about this hotel. We paid over $80 for one night (which is expensive for Morocco) - so not worth it.

CONS:
- I was overcharged $60 on my credit card. The taxes should have been around $3 and according the hotels.com website, airport shuttle is around $1. Hotels.com contacted them 3 times to inquire about the charges and they refused to say what the charges were for.
- No functional WIFI (only works if you are literally at the front desk - doesn't even work at the restaurant which is 5 feet away).
- Walls are paper thin. I heard my neighbors as clearly as if they were sitting right next to me.
- Hotel is in disrepair and falling apart (see photo of bathroom - this was from a suite, what the receptionist told me was their \"best\" room).
- Location is not great - it is in the burbs and nothing is within walking distance.
- I booked it because there is a pool, but it closes at 8pm and has rusty pipes.

Booked a junior suite through hotels.com as it specifies it came with a microwave which is what I needed with my baby. However upon arrival I was told no rooms had microwaves. Despite this staff were very friendly and warmed up my baby's food and milk. Best thing about this hotel is the staff.

Great location, Wonderful service

The hotel is located in perfect location, in the middle of the city yet in a very quite area where you can really enjoy a good night sleep. The property is gorgeous, not fully explored yet, but I have noticed new renovations taking place which will make this hotel one of the best in Marrakech, beautiful, spacious rooms, great bar with a unique atmosphere, the food was something. But most of all the staff at this hotel are amazing people, starting by Youssef at the door, Simo at the reception desk, Ahmed the bellman, Reda the Bartender and their wonderful director of Operations Younes who happened to be on duty throughout our stay. It was great to see Marrakech again after so many years abroad and hotels such as Dellarosa made it a wonderful experience, I would certainly stay there again.

Good things:
Value for money, good location, helpful staff, good housekeeping wiht clean rooms every day.

Bad things:
Breakfast very basic, weak wifi signal, swimming pool was dirty. You have to pay for using suna and steam room but I would expect free for 4 star hotel. It should be classed as 3 star hotel.

Anniversary holiday-hotel let it down

Unfortunately its been a huge disappointment in every way, breakfast same old simple boring everyday, service terrible-ordered hot chocolate arrived over an hour later! Rooms unclean mainly the bathrooms and manky had to change rooms even then was still not to 4* standards! Says no outside food and drinks allowed however the suites had a kitchen?!?! (Which btw had no pots and pans) towels look worn out. No privacy can hear everything clearly from outside. Basically the hotels in need of serious revamp!
Only best thing was the location.

Better than i expected

I spent weeks looking for some where with just the right location, close to Gueliz but not to far from the Jamaa El Fna. This place wasn't my first choice but to be I'm glad I stayed here, 5 mins walk to Gueliz and 30min walk to Jamaa El Fna.

I went with a group of lads (8 to be exact) so we booked 2 apartments. We asked for 2 next to each other and that's exactly what they gave us. The staff at reception made a good effort with us seeing as we could only speak English. The apartments were clean and sorted out for us every morning normally when we were in the restaurant having breakfast. The breakfast was nice but not a lot of choice, the guy playing the guitar in the restaurant was really friendly and if you know hindi songs, you can request a song, you'd be surprised how much they love Bollywood out there.lol

Midway through the week it rained heavily and our rooms electrics and A/C completely shut down, so I informed reception and there was no quibble at all, they took our luggage up to the top floor suite (which I looked at when I was booking the apartment but were to expensive) and they even bought stuff up that we had left in the room without realising like the adapter plugs and phone chargers and my cigar.lol

It did rain quite heavily and the water seeped into the bar, everywhere from the glass doors which leads out to the pool area, but the staff all got involved and cleaned it ASAP. They gave us access to the music system so we can get the party started which worked out well because it kept the other guests in the hotel entertained because no one went out that day.

Point to consider, if you like playing pool get yourself some dirham coin because they are impossible to come across, nobody wants to give you any.lol The apartments show kitchenettes but there are no plates, cups, utensils or anything, it does seem like its there just for show and to up the price.

Other than that, its a great place to stay, I recommend taking advantage of the spa on-site and using the top terrace if your looking to get a tan, its quiet and its got showers up there too.

Wonderful hotel just outside medina (30-50 dirham taxi to centre square)
On arrival arrived early and welcomed with mint tea & bags taken to room! Very nice!
Cleaners were good and helpful but some things were frustrating with no toilet roll being refilled and it taking 2 days of asking to get leak fixed.
Hotel is very clean.
We arrived and were told everywhere was closed to eat due to Eid so had buffet at the hotel, very dissapointing (200dirham per head, tasted like warm left overs)
Breakfast was basic
Cocktails were british prices; with what tasted like No alcohol...
Cleaners were helpful & friendly when it rained and room flooded with quick fix!
Overall beautiful hotel, friendly staff, good facilities just restuarant & bar are letting it down. plenty of other beautiful resturants and tasty resturants that are 100 times better. Would recommend nearby restuarant

Splendid family holiday!

Just came back yesterday from a 10 night holiday. Stayed at suite 201 with balcony. Recommend suite 201.

Good Bits

The hotel was very nicely located, half between old and new town. Very easy to walk everywhere. Jemal Fina 15 mins walk .. Don't need a taxi to go there .. Nice views to walk there. Guilez the new town and posh area only 10 minutes walk away.
Hotel very clean and staff were excellent each and everyone from house made to reception to the security guys absolutely fantastic people.

The only small point would be that on the first night we arrived late at midnight and as we booked a suite for 4 people, on the 4th or higher floor 6 weeks in advance was disappointed when we were allocated a suite on the 2nd floor. When we got to the suite only a twin was made up the other twin was a large sofa bed (the hotel website says a double and twin beds) was not made up just turned into a bed we had to ask for pillows duvet etc ..the sofa bed was not comfortable but as we would only spend minimum time not a problem for us but for others maybe a bad start. The reception did offer us to move us to a higher floor with a larger balcony after a few days if we wanted but next day as I notice even though the balcony was small ours was not a shared balcony and away from others, so no one could overlook our suite and overlooking the swimming pool which was great. So decided not to move as everything was working as it should except for the kitchen sink tap kept dripping and you couldn't stop it but once it shut we didn't use it as the bathroom tap was there if needed. We only drank from bottled water.
We had to keep asking for toilet tissue, towels for shower and toiletries as the maid only kept leaving for 2 people even though we were 4. But was soon brought to us after every requests this was the most annoying bit as everyday we had to ask and could never understand why the housemaid just didn't do it on a daily basis But I didn't say anything to the reception guys as the house maid Khadijah was a very nice lady.

But
I wouldn't stay in any other hotel. I am planning to go back again and will definaty stay at Delarosa again. Lovely people working there!

The reception and security guys are also brilliant people and have made good friends with them.

I recommend staying at Dellarosa you won't regret it! Just don't forgot it is a developing country so a 4 star hotel is not like a 4 star hotel in UK but overall clean, and simple but elegant.

Breakfast was the same every day which was good but then every top restaurants to the lower cafes had the same menu but just deferent prices. Pizza, sandwiches, kebab grill, Tajine burger etc

Good location in the new town away from hustle and bustle,and within walking distant to Gueliz(nice shopping area) and only a 15 minute walk to Djemaa El-Fna(a must go place especially in the evening) .Staff at the hotel are very welcoming and polite.The junior suite room 203 and 207 had a balcony and were very spacious.Comfortable beds and loungers were also a treat.Rooms were cleaned daily by polite staff.Breakfast was buffet type and the choice was nice especially with morrocan tea and on some mornings there was a musician playing away in a corner which was very nice.The diner500 staff were also welcoming and polite.At this hotel you were made to feel like you were at home.Dont forget there is a rooftop terrace where you can see the view of the Atlas mountains and the koutabia mosque.I will definitely be returning to this hotel.

The suites were much bigger than expected. We had a large living are with full size sleep sofa, another comfy sofa, tv, safe, dining and kitchen, bedroom #1 with two twin made into king and another room with two twin and comfy sofa and tv...comfy, great AC...Friendly staff, very kind and helpful with great buffet breakfast and guitarist...I would go back. Best I've gotten for my money.....

Great location& comfortable hotel

Hotel is suited in the new town of Guilez. Hotel in great location, 10/15 minute drive from airport, peaceful and no noise and loads of taxis outside (please note that they do bump up prices. A 10 minute ride or less wherever your going shouldn't cost more than 20MAD). Everything from walking to driving is no more than 20 minutes away from hotel location. 7 minute walk to the main road where loads of restaurants, bars, tour guides and horse rides are located. Just under 10minute drive to the Medina Market and the Guilez shopping centre where Zara, Mango and H&M etc are located. Hotel staff where friendly. However; although the hotel is rated at 4*, I personally would give it a 3.5*. The Internet connection was very bad even though box was situated right outside our room. Hotel pool was freezing cold so never got to use it. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been maintained in a while, every time the shower was used because there was a hole at the side, the water always leaked. Had to always put a towel on the floor as well as the flor mat. Room TV had a poor selection of channels. We had a mini fridge in our room but it wasn't stocked. When we brought our own water we was told off by security (not allowed to bring in any food or drink inside the hotel). No iron, no slippers provided, no toothpaste no adaptable charging plug when asked at reception. The same selection of complimentary breakfast everyday. Overall aside from the negatives, I would stay there again

First time in Marakesh and the people are so polite and helpful. We had a taxi for the whole hols and he took us everywhere, places we would not have been. Their pace is relaxed and chilled, exactly what we needed.

Well it was my first time in marrakech so wasnt sure what to expect but i must say was pleasantly surprised with the warm and friendly welcome from the hotel staff and the room was beautiful. Security wise its fab and this hotel is located in the heart of the city so u are near the local markets, shopping mall, supermarkets, nightclubs, mcdonalds, everything really that your likely to wanna visit. I will b going back soon and i will definately stay there again

A Truly Marrakechi Experience

Whether you like the Dellarosa hotel depends mainly on where you stand on the Marrakechi experience in general. If you cannot stand being treated like a walking wallet, having crafty locals try to squeeze money out of you at every turn, if you cannot get passed the general messiness and untrustworthiness of almost everyone you meet; than I guess you will have a hard time enjoying the Dellarosa or Marrakech.
But if you can look and see passed these annoying details and find the real magic that is Marrakech, with it's warm, genuine inhabitants and adventures to be had around every corner; than you may very well find yourself falling for that old Marrakechi magic of the Dellarosa hotel.

One thing to be aware of: There are signs around the hotel telling you not to bring in food or drink supposedly \"for your own safety\", of course this is simply a ploy to get you to buy everything from the hotel at extortionate prices. Naturally we ignored this and were surprised to be confronted by the security guard at the entrance on our return from the local Carrefour supermarket. The reception staff seemed quite happy to let us through so if you get stopped; ask to speak with the receptionist.

This hotel located well for old Marrakesh & new just go to the top off St then go left N/M or right O/M There are bars & places to eat on the door step. Pool a little small .Staff are help full. All in all it is not a bad place to stay for a few day's .Good value for the money.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!

The shock of pure horror when we got to the hotel room and realised the pictures advertised are a misrepresentation of what the hotel really looks like. Even more shock when 6 of my other friends were told they have no rooms and were moved to another hotel. They also overbook and shove guest to their sister hotel which is even worse than this. I only stayed one night and was glad it was only one night. The breakfast was horrible! Not sure who they thought they were feeding (humans or dogs). I asked for an ironing board and iron and I got an ironing board with no cover and when i asked for cover they told me they had none. We had a twin room for 2 people are was provided with only ONE bath towel!!! Just one! no face towels, no floor towels, no hand towels, NONE!

I could write a book about the bad experience but lets keep it short.. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU PLAN TO HAVE A GOOD HOLIDAY!

Nice hotel close to most, bars, restaraunts,

Arrived at the hotel, everything was great, had a normal room for 2, got an immediate free upgrade to junior suite.

Staff were polite and the language barrier was not an issue, most spoke fluent or broken english, that is if you don't speak French or Arabic.

Only downside is the private taxis who haggle you trying to sell you trips to here their and everywhere.
But its all clean fun.

Recommend this hotel to anyone who has never been to Marrakesh.

Only downside is to this hotel that its showing its age, other than that its a okay hotel.

First trip to Marrakech

Hotel is conveniently located, less than 10 mins drive from the airport, walkable distance from old and new town.

Staff very polite and helpful. Rooms were cleaned everyday and whenever we required anything it was provided promptly.

Excellent breakfast service, variety of foods to chose from and there was live music on a Friday during outlr stay. Not sure if this is every Friday morning though.
I think hotel is going through renovation so I'm sure soon it will be family rooms' turn to fix a few little cracks and painting jobs in and around the building.

Excellent experince and would recommend. Excellent country, friendly people and felt welcomed by all.

Our first room was a VERY small twin for my mum (85) and myself. My mum is fairly for but the side of the bath was too high for her to step into for either a bath or a shower. There were no other rooms available that night (so we were told) but we were offered a swap to a 'junior suite' for the rest of our stay. The second room was a more reasonable size with a walk in shower. Junior suite?? I don't think so. Just a reasonably sized room.
Beds were very comfortable. Staff were always very pleasant and helpful.
Breakfast was OK. A bit more fresh fruit would have been good. There was a huge selection of sweet pastries and cakes if that's what you like for breakfast. Sometimes replenishment of supplies was a bit slow.
In the spa, the only thing my mum fancied using was the jaluzzi and unfortunately it was out of order...so can't really comment on anything else.
The restaurant, bar and lobby were quite chilly....maybe this is a cultural thing. We Brits expect to be able to take our coats off inside while we eat and drink.
We booked trips at the hotel.....2/3 hour horse and carriage trip around Marrakech to get the lie of the land...Morroccan show evening with meal.....taxi tour to the Atlas Mountains with stops and lunch (lunch was VG)...all had to be paid cash (dh, € or ENGLISH £) no cards.

good central location for sightseeing

nice hotel, but needs updating. Good location, friendly, helpful staff. offered suite with non usable cooking facilities and fridge but could not understand why food and liquids were not allowed to be taken into the hotel, not even water. Description in advert differed to what was in the room, no minibar and no dressing gowns, even though there were two empty hangers in the bathroom. Apart from that we had a lovely stay at the hotel.

The Dellarosa from the outside would not win any prizes or perhaps one in the ugliest frontage section but on entering the hotel (not through the metal detector) it is a different world relaxing and most welcoming. Reception staff were friendly even if English was a bit pidgeony, the room was better than I expected as travelling alone and having booked a single was given a double room with a massive comfortable double bed plenty of wardrobe space and a terrace which if I had stayed in during the day would have been more than adequate for sunbathing. I used the restaurant the first night as outside was dark and unwelcoming the food itself was pleasant though the menu limited. Breakfast was ample and typical continental though I do think Christmas carols on January 12th a bit much as I had come for this break after Christmas to forget. There is a swimming pool and though small will probably be most welcoming in the summer heat though I cannot imagine it getting much sun. Overall a nice friendly hotel which could probably do with staff speaking a bit more English but as I had no complaints to deal with I personally had no problem and got bi. I would have preferred a tea/coffee facility in the bedroom instead of a pod/capsule thing that I had to buy from reception...
Near enough the centre/square/souks to walk, mine was pleasant as was my stay at the DellaRosa but this was January not the height of the summer or cheap taxi ride...

Tired hotel in need of renovation

Hotel very tired in need of renovation. Shower heads and shower glass doors falling apart. When we arrived and just got to our room we were amazed by the size of the suite, tarrace and lounge but after a close inspection of the facilities we were disappointed. Shower head broken and shower door falling apart. Rang reception and a maintenance guy was there quick. Failed to fix so we were moved to the room next door. Facilities slightly better but not the best, this time linen and towels were dirty. So we got them changed. Breakfast was ok. Almost the same every day.
Location was good. Walkin distance to Medina aprrox 20mins. Also about 10 mins to Gueliz the new town.

If you planning to stay do inspect the shower soon as you walk in and specially the bed sheets.

There is no kettle in the room.

Iron you must book at reception.

Poor everything

I booked two nights in this hotel, the first night I was shifted to another scanty hotel. I had no choice because I was tired and needed to sleep. Be aware, this hotel over books rooms and then they shift guests around.
The rooms themselves are not all that. Staff is fine but the management is very poor.
Stay away from this hotel, it's not good.
The pictures in the advertisement is a misrepresentation of this hotel. Very small place and a radiculous management.
