Hotel was in the ideal location, meaning we could walk to any attraction in the city in around 20-25 minutes which was great! Rooms were small but did the job for a long weekend. Everything clean and staff lovely. Bear in mind that it is mainly a hostel so on weekend evenings the bar can be quite lively and the music can be heard from the second floor - wasn’t a problem for us but if you’re a light sleeper bring earplugs! Overall though lovely stay and would stay again

The property is very dumpy. The hallway walk to the rooms had patched walls and the carpet is extremely warn down and dirty. At arrival in our room, the curtains were half hanging off the rails, the chair was ragged, and the shower had a terrible smell. From the condition of the hallways, we assumed there would be no point in asking for a better room. After staying at the truly impressive Next House hostel/hotel for the previous few days, this was a depressing transition. We'd wanted to experience a few different locations in the city, so the central and vibrant location was the highlight of this stay. .

This Hostel is super close to everything. It’s about 350 m from the metro station at the center of town.. that makes it a one line 7 stop ride from the airport, which is great. It also puts it at the center all the tourist attractions. The only downsides are: the rooms are a little cramped, and the building can get heated up if it’s a hot day outside (I was there in September so just opening the window fix the problem, but I could see that during the heat of the summer it could be a bigger issue). I liked it a lot. I’m going back.

We arrived on a Friday about 4 and the bar area was already busy. The bar games were great and we enjoyed meeting other travellers.
The room was small, but had everything you need. It did get very warm and due to how busy the area is it was quite noisy outside so we needed to keep the windows closed. Overall we loved the hotel and look forward to staying at others across Europe.

Dirty dirty dirty .... from the moment you walk in .... both elevators are filthy and havent been mopped out for months ... the carpets in the halls are disgusting and do not even seem to be vacuumed daily .... the room was serviced in 30 seconds by a person emptying the trash and flushing the toilet .... no cleaning of the toilet area or mopping out the shower .... no towel, no soap in shower, no free luggage storage .... this place charges for everything and doesnt even spend money on cleaning.... they just figure young people wont care and they pocket the extra profits ... worst hostel i have stayed at for a long time .... will avoid their company wherever i go.

We flew for more than 10 hours and finally arrived in this hotel. We were given the room with two bunk beds. I remember I reserved and paid for one full bed and one bunk bed. Since there is no phone in the room, we have to go back to the front desk to ask about the reason. They found out that in Expedia it was reserved as one full bed and one bunk bed. However, it was showed in their system that only two bunk beds room was reserved. They guess there must be glitch between the two systems, which the hotel and Expedia need to solve. Unfortunately, there is no room with full bed available that day. So we agree to keep the current room. Hotel is good to give us two days breakfast and some shampoo, conditioner as compensation. At least, it makes us feel better after long flight. However, we still hope Expedia can follow up on this issue. It did bring inconvenience for us.

The staff were all quite helpful and friendly. The location is great and there is a bar on site. I was placed in a room with 5 existing clients (both M and F) - and that room was filthy. The bathroom smelled like urine (causing the entire room to smell) and the general dirty condition/untidiness was off-putting. I realize the facility can’t really control the condition of the rooms, but the experience would keep me from returning.

I stayed at Generator Hostel last night and had a very mixed experience.

Pros:
•The staff is absolutely excellent—friendly, helpful, and professional. Full marks to the front desk and service team.
•The common areas like the bar and lounge are well-designed and welcoming.
•Lockers are convenient and provide a sense of security.

Cons:
•Dormitory experience was disappointing. Guests were drying their clothes on their beds, which made the room feel messy and unhygienic.
•Poor ventilation in the rooms—windows are kept closed due to cold weather, making it stuffy and difficult to breathe, especially for someone with asthma.
•Beds are extremely close to each other, leaving almost no personal space. The cramped setup adds to the discomfort.
•A lot of snoring and noise makes it hard to sleep in shared rooms.
•Bathrooms and toilets are located inside the dorms, which means eight people sharing one small space creates lingering smells and general discomfort.
•Elevators are noisy and feel a bit unstable, which doesn’t inspire confidence.

Overall: While the staff and common areas are great, the actual sleeping and hygiene conditions in the dorms need serious improvement. Not recommended for anyone sensitive to air quality, noise, or looking for a restful stay.

It is hostel, not a Hotel.
Guests are from all ages and groups from families to gropus in their mid 20s. Lots of games in place for families with teenagers and above, lovely young atmosphere. With inside bar and music, and sport tv until late.
Only one lift for 6 floors, you wait long time to reach the 6th floor, i used the stairs mainly. In the room, the shower , sink and toilet seat are in one single small space with a curtain to contain the shower water, the floor gets all wet, you need to use toilet roll to dry the floor or the hand swiper... the bed is very comfortable and spacious. Room has window to the street and was noisy, but after a while it was quiet. The TV didn't get any channel, it was reported to reception but they didn't so anything to resolve the issue.
Excellent location with walking distance to everywhere. Many bars and restaurants around the area.
A few stag and hen parties during the weekend that make it a bit loud over the night.
It was a good stay, the builting a bit dated, but over all ok for one or two nights...

The bed had two comforters on it and no top sheet they did provide a sheet when I asked. We had to keep the windows open. There was lots of noise outside at night. The public space is very worn. The people were great and helped us with a problem we had with our upcoming train trip.

We were visiting as a family of four, woth two young ish kids 6 and 9. We had a family room with bunk bed. Having separate shower and toilet was good with the sink in the room. The dining options were good and loved the games tbere. The breakfast was a little limited and the cooked breakfast was sadly not available,due to Oil needing changed in tbe kitchen?!
Overall a great experience and tbe staff was friendly. Sadly the light in the showroom wouldn't turn off and was on all night, whi h wasn't great for both nights we were there. This was highlighted to the team, but maintenence had been unable to fix it.

Location was central and ideal for exploring Copenhagen.
We requested cot and this had been prepared in the room ready. We all slept so well, baby included. The room was basic but had everything we needed.
There is a bar and games you can access during the day. Also the option to buy anything you may have forgotten. We also used their lockers to store our bags after checkout so we could explore for the day. They were about 60DKK for the day and a large one holds a fair amount of luggage.
Only downside is there’s only 1 lift which can be a bit of a waiting game. Had we not had the pushchair we wouldn’t have needed it, but something to be aware of if you do require a lift.
There’s also a tourist section near to reception with brochures and also discounts for certain shops / attractions - very handy!! The staff were all approachable and friendly.

Overall we had a brilliant stay and would definitely return!

Stayed in a 6-bed private room - fantastic price and amazing location! Beds and pillows were comfy. Great activites in the hostel.
Downsides were the 1. noise of the nightclub that takes place on a Friday night, it went on until 3am I think
2. The bathroom sink is in the middle of the room and not in the toilet, just makes it loud when you wash your hands in the middle of the night
Overall a great stay and I would recommend it and return here!

Welcoming staff.
Central location to the city attractions with transport close by if needed.
Very quiet location - slept very well.
Clean room.
Great shower with instant warm water.
Plugs by bed

Not so good:

Bed creaky.
Bed sheet did not fit bed well and kept rolling up leaving the mattress exposed (mattress is plastic so doesn't feel good to sleep on when sheet has moved!)
Corridors could do with better signs to lift (walked past the door to the lift several times before I found it!)

The property was great for us as a family. We were busy all day and just needed somewhere to rest our heads and feet from all the walking we did. It would have been nice to have towels provided and being British, we’d have loved a kettle for making our own hot drinks. It was clean and warm, the shower was lovely and powerful, and the staff were accommodating. We were early for check in but they kindly offered us a different room which was ready. They warned that being directly above the bar it maybe noisy, especially as we were staying over the weekend, but it was not a problem for us at all.

We had a 14-hour overnight layover and didnt want to sleep at the airport. The hotels by the airport are insanely expensive but the trains run 24/7, so we decided to try this place out. It's quirky and has wonderful artwork/murals all around. It's so centrally located that we were able to absorb a LOT of the local flavor during just a 2 hour morning walk. Will definitely go back there and spend more time.

The building was lovely and easy to locate. Check-in went very smooth and the room was a bit tight, but the roommates were friendly. The biggest issue was that there wasn't much room at all to access the lockers under the beds to get to your luggage. The shower was spacious, and separate from the toilet. There was a working elevator, and lots of activities going on at night for guests. Breakfast was delicious, and even though there were a lot of people going in and out, but I felt secure the entire time.

The room was too small , specially in the mornings bumping into each other and only one or two able to pull their lock box out!

Also, many of the box lids would shut down when least expected due to broken “pressure shock absorbers”. I got niched on my forehead by one of them … yes there was blood!

This hotel was a good, low-cost option in a good location. We had a king room with private bath. It was small, with very little room to move around the bed and nowhere to leave suitcases open, but it worked OK. The wifi was reliable. The bar/restaurant on-site was convenient, and there were tons of food options around. The shower, however, was terrible. I didn't get a good shower for the several days we were there, because the temperature was so unpredictable. It wouldn't stay constant for more than maybe 45seconds.

The staff was amazing, friendly and helpful. We stayed in a bedroom with its own bedroom, but the bedroom was in terrible conditions. Ours got flooded and our luggage all the way to the other side of the room even got wet. It isn’t truly a barroom, it more of a toilet with a wisher where the water goes everywhere. I personally think that the money payed was both worth give the conditions of the place.

We payed 210 dollars for a hotel and we got a youth hostel. There were no towels, there was a lot of music at night that we could hear from the room..we could not sleep for a long time. It is too expensive for what it was. The only thing that we like was the location.

This is a huge hostel in a prime location, so you see all kinds of travellers. Despite the size, they only have one slow elevator, so it was very hard to catch it. They don’t store your luggage for you, so you have to pay to use the locker. Location was absolutely great, and the room for 6 people was a decent size. Friendly staff but the check-in process was too long—had to wait a very long time at 2 pm because everyone was checking in at the same time. No AC (like most European buildings), so we kept the window open the whole time.

The location was great and a quick walk to Nyhavn. Plenty of bars and restaurants around. The room was sooooo hot it was a struggle to sleep. There was a fan in the room but this wasn’t found until day 2 as it was hidden behind a curtain, although the fan didn’t make too much of a difference. Cannot comment on breakfast as we didn’t have it. Staff were great, happy and efficient, apart from one staff member we encountered who was a little curt….maybe having a bad day! We wouldn’t stay here again only due to how hot the room was but the rest of the facilities and location were great

No comfortable areas indoors to sit. I dont think 2 chairs in the lobby constitutes comfy lounging. The patio is nice but closes at 10 so you're forced to endure the noise of the bar or sit in your room. Sometimes you dont want to be in either location.

Housekeeping was awful. My friend stayed 5 nights and had her sheets changed the night before she checked out. What is the point of that? I stayed a week and had to do it myself because housekeeping didnt and I was sick and didnt want gross sick sheets.
Also never washed the floor or swept. Ive worked housekeeping in suite hotels. Hostels are beyond easy to clean when youre not even making the bed. The lack of effort is abysmal.

Music also excessively loud till 1/2am. I get its a hostel but have some consideration. Dublins generator loud music stops at 11. It's much more peaceful. People are paying to be able to sleep at some point.

Overall, never again.
