We had an amazing 6 day stay at The Square! Great location - very close to Tivoli Gardens, Central Station, and walking distance to plenty of sights and attractions in the city. The staff are exceptionally helpful, friendly and courteous. The room is clean and well-maintained. We will absolutely stay here again!

Great hotel in a very central location just 10 mins walk from the main train station. Nice room, comfortable beds, luxury towels and nice toiletries. There was a complimentary guest lounge that came with our Expedia booking, but we didn’t get a chance to use it. Friendly staff. Overall, a great hotel.

Really comfy beds and pillow, great towels, heated floor in the bathroom. Great shampoos and lotions (she said). Room was a little snug but ok for two. Room overlooked the square and you did get road noise (sirens, buses) as well as noise from bars below but not too bad. The church in the square chimes as well. Room included a kettle and coffee/tea. Fridge very small though, fit about three cans of beer only (oh I left a Carlsberg in ours when we left !). The room was very hot though even with the ac on, it was too noisy to use while sleeping, windows only partly open to help in ventilation. Metro literally just outside, many bars around, McD's over the road, 7/11 and Netto close by. Ideal location for Hop on Hop off bus as well. Didn't get breakfast as felt too expensive (€25 pp). Would stay again.

A great hotel for us. Lovely location in the centre of town, 2 minute walk to the Metro and 5 min walk to Tivoli Gardens.
We had a standard room which was very comfortable it had a nice sofa and a very comfortable bed.
The breakfasts were delicious with plentiful choice, I loved the fresh fruit and pastries.
And the hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful.

This hotel was a wonderful choice in Copenhagen. Centrally located, amazing staff, comfortable rooms and even heated floors in the bathroom. The bathtub was a treat. The front desk workers were so very helpful and accommodating. I would stay here on my next journey anytime!!

Bar offered great selection of lagers and wines also coffee. Room clean on arrival. Quite comfortable room with great bath. Provided plenty of soft towels and a comfortable bed. Great nights sleep 💤 7 minutes walk from train station close to the Trovili gardens and the main shopping just across the square great local for exploring Copenhagen. Highly recommend

Great location for us as our daughter was getting married at City Hall. Having the room numbers and keys on an app was useful, our flight arrived late and we were able to go straight to the room. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice and nice to see fresh herbs, would have liked more Danish pastries as we were in Denmark!
We had complimentary access to the lounge which was ideal for a glass of wine and snacks.
Negatives- I booked 2 rooms of the same type and price but one was noticeably bigger. Rooms were hot as has been mentioned by others, air conditioning wasn't particularly efficient. It isn't made clear about booking room cleaning and would be nice to get some sort of voucher if you don't have the room cleaned.
We went to the hotel bar before tea, the only person available to make drinks was manning reception and said he didn't drink alcohol, no idea what he put in the cocktails but they weren't weren't what they were supposed to be!

Excellent location , the lounge snacks and drinks were great . At the bar the Aperol spritz were great and they have a great happy hour . I dont have the names I’m sorry but the Spanish who checked us in was amazing , also the French gentleman at the lounge was very funny and nice and the danish gentleman at the bar who gave us recommendations when visiting the Hamlet castle . I would stay here every time I’m in Copenhagen. Close to the central train station, Tívoli gardens , shopping

Only issue was when I asked for clean towels and the bins to be emptied it wasn’t done so had to go to reception to collect the towels myself and had to empty our own bins when we saw the cleaners in the corridor the following morning.

Had to request cleaning room at reception but that wasn’t a problem, just something we weren’t used to. Building works were going on but not too early in the morning. Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, property well maintained and secure. In the center of the city and steps away from shopping, Tivoli, and the National Museum. Location is also about a 20-minute walk to Nyhavn and a 30-40-minute walk to the harbor. A perfect home base for travelers to the city with easy access to metro, bus lines, and the train station - will definitely stay there again when in Copenhagen.

We booked a superior room with lounge access. For a superior room it was small and somewhat dated and only had a view of an apartment block. It was clean and had 2 comfy chairs and everything worked ok. We had issues with getting our room serviced. On the first day we hung out the please service our room sign and nothing happened. Apparently we should have requested room service. On the second day we did and returned to find nothing had been done. We complained and they fixed it.
We did not have breakfast preferring to eat out. We did use the lounge which was good. We found the reception staff helpful.

Close to restaurants and shopping district, and central to downtown and across the street from metro station for easy transit access. Clean and comfortable room. Lounge area in lobby area with bar. No restaurant or room service options, so plan accordingly. 7-Eleven is next door for easy bottled water and snacks access - the 7-11s are much higher quality here than in North America, with higher quality deli food if you get late night cravings.

1. Check-in experience

Upon arrival, the receptionist attempted to check me in under another guest’s name. Despite me showing my booking confirmation, she continued trying to charge me again and insisted that my booking was for a single room when it was a double.
As a homosexual couple visiting the county, this created a sense of anxiety and discomfort, as we were momentarily concerned we would not be able to share the room we booked. This made the check-in process unnecessarily stressful and left a poor first impression.

2. Room cleanliness and comfort

The beds were extremely uncomfortable.
The bed linens did not appear to be clean, raising concerns about hygiene and overall housekeeping standards.
The towels provided were of very poor quality.
We required extra pillows, which were kindly provided by the housekeeping staff. Their assistance was appreciated.

3. Bathroom condition

The bath was not properly sealed, causing leaks.
The shower pressure was very low, making it difficult to use.

4. Noise levels

Our room was located right next to the landing and lifts, which resulted in significant noise throughout the night. This made it difficult to sleep and further impacted the comfort of our stay

5. Check-out experience

When checking out, we were not asked how our stay had been. As we attempted to raise the issues listed above, the receptionist began speaking to her colleague instead of listening. This came across as dismissive and unprofessional, preventing us advising

Loved our stay here and will stay again if I return to beautiful Copenhagen. The hotel is so central for everything, right next to Tivoli Gardens. Beautiful lobby to chill in at the end of a long day seeing the sights and the staff are welcoming and helpful. No complaints and will recommend it to friends and family.

The room was a good standard of cleanliness, and staff were polite and courteous, the room was also quiet considering the proximity to local pubs. My Fiancee loved the heated floor in the bathroom. My only fault was with how tempremental the app was to use with it not working in the lift multiple times. I appreciate it's a new thing the hotel have implimented though and the staff were than happy to give us replacement physical cards. Would stay again!

I know Denmark is expensive. We live in Singapore and have moved from, Hong Kong, London and NYC - we are used to high prices. Even so the price of this hotel was wayyy too high for the quality. This is less than a 3 star in reality with a very very small room and terrible view. No service at all given by staff. Do not recommend.
