The first room was not great (a bit dank) but I was relocated and upgraded quickly and very pleasantly by a very efficient, helpful member of staff (Esterra) to a nice room. In fact, overall the staff were great and the hotel had a very relaxed feel. There is a fitness room that maybe could do with two or three cardio machines (a small cross trainer and maybe a smaller bike).

Room was nice, minimalistic chic. Important point, I didn’t find to control de temperature— so even tho it’s very cold in January-February in Copenhagen it got hot at times when sleeping. The location of the hotel was SO good tho!

Fantastic welcome; so friendly, charming, professional and polite, really couldn't have asked for better in any way.

Check-in was swift and efficient, and we were talked through all amenities upon arrival and taken to the elevator to go to our room.

The room was well-appointed, spotlessly clean, and well-maintained.

Also, as we arrived a bit late in the day, we hadn't booked anywhere to eat. The restaurant was really busy, but they still made room for us and had an awesome first night.

This was the nicest hotel!
On Arrival the children were greeted by the reception team who took them to pick a gift from the Christmas tree, this may seem like a little extra detail but meant the world to the kids!

The room didn't have a coffee machine, you have to pay extra for simple amenities like slippers. The room was freezing, there is no control in the room.

Absolutely great hotel for the price and location. A quirky little boutique where every details thought of. The restaurant was full all of the time never seen such a busy hotel restaurant people queuing for it (was lovely). Decor very funky, staff incredibly friendly and helpful went out of their way to google and mark on a map all the shops I wanted to go to like a treasure hunt. Maps were great they give out, and room was incredibly spacious for a basic room price. They even bought up teacups and teabags and milk when my husband asked for a kettle for the room (kettle was for my hot water bottle). Lovely to have a steamer in the room instead of an iron it’s one I’ve been eyeing up so glad I got to road test it first. But above all location, location, location was perfect. Will 1000% be back again. Loved hotel and Copenhagen.

Lovely fitout and finish but hotel is not serviced that well for guests. The service was either stand offish or non extistent. The downstairs area is really aimed at people attending the restaurant. There was no space for guests to sit and get a drink. We asked a staff member where we could we sit and get a drink and we would told the staff were busy but we could try sitting in an area next to the restaurant. We sat there for a while and received no service for 15 min until we went into the restaurant. When we checked-in we were given no information about the hotel other than to look at a card. Overall a pretty hotel but very much style over substance.

Sadly this hotel missed the mark for me. In simple terms, you didn’t feel like this was a ‘home away from home’ with proper amenities that one should expect at this price point.

Every time I showered it would essentially flood the bathroom. I forgot my hairbrush and requested a basic kit, only to be told they didn’t have anything to help (you’re a hotel?) and the room felt cold and uninviting.

They’ve definitely jumped on the TikTok/Instagram clientele but unfortunately, beautiful interiors can only get you so far! I wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend to others.

I stayed at Hotel Bella Grande during my recent vacation to Copenhagen and had a great experience! The hotel has a beautiful, feminine design, and the service was excellent throughout our stay. The rooms are small, but well laid out and well-appointed (closet space, shelving, a small chair, etc.), so this wasn't an issue for my partner and me. The only thing I would note is that the bathroom is quite small, and the design of the shower makes it near impossible not to \"flood\" the bathroom! However, this wasn't really a big deal for us during our stay.

We appreciated being so centrally located (very easy to access bikes/metro) during our trip. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar on the first floor, which could not have been more convenient for grabbing a quick bite to eat after long days of sightseeing! I would definitely stay here again.

My only problem was with the shower curtain. It seems the curtain could be a more water resistent and possibly some weighted piece in the base The floor easily gets wet and is slippery and unfortunately one uses towels on the floor.

The bed was comfy, the rooms were beautiful! The only thing was there was no AC but we were able to get a fan from reception which helped a lot! The front desk staff was super welcoming and went above and beyond. The property is in an ideal location with lots of dinning options and super walkable to a lot of attractions. Will be coming back in the future!

Wanted to love this hotel as I saw it on tiktok, and YES, its stunning! unfortunately the hotel facilities fell short! No AC resulted in the room being like a sauna. It was 29 degrees. In addition they have no robes, no tables in the room to place items on whatsoever. There was 5 cm room on each side of the bed so you could not walk into bed from the side. The room itself could actually only fit a carry on. If you’re set on going the only way is to book a suite! still wont have ac tho.
The hotel is located in a street thats shut off from traffic so we had to walk many blocks with 5 suitcases on a busy day (during a pride parade). One of the worst experiences of my life. Took 30 minutes to find someone to pick us up as we were then at a busy intersection. Super inconvenient and the staff was not helpful at all they just told us to walk to a near park with our 5 suitcases and “it would be so easy”. I wish they had warned us and offered us to send our suitcases to a nearby hotel where transportation would be able to stop outside. They also wont help you at all with suitcases from the taxi, up the stairs or to your room. There’s only one elevator for the whole hotel so it takes forever to move around.

All in all super disappointed!
I recommend just eating dinner at the beautiful restaurant or grab a drink.
The hotel itself isnt worth it although it had so much potential!

It's annoying that there's no fridge, kettle or coffee machine in the room. Hotels should feel like homes to be comfortable. Which home today does not have a fridge or kettle AT LEAST? This is absolutely ridiculous for a 4 star hotel.

It was clean but not the cleanest.

Also, music blasting until 11:00PM and then waiters cleaning the space until 11:30PM is crazy.

Staff was very helpful.

I would never stay there again.

What a beautiful hotel. The design is incredible and the rooms are quite stunning. Especially the bed was a highlight. So comfortable!

I honestly didn’t enjoy the welcoming at the reception. I booked two hrs before arriving. The lady at the reception seemed annoyed.

There was some confusion about my booking. So I had to wait until she double checked with her manager. They had to give me a bigger room, because the booked category was not available. It felt that it annoyed her to give me the upgrade.

On my second day I rented a bike. During my journey I realized that the break was not working, no bell and overall the bike had issues.
I told the receptionist that they shouldn’t rent out bikes like this. I would have expected a refund or free drink for the uncomfortable experience.

Overall! Great Hotel, but they really need to work on their service to make this place memorable and worth the high ticket.

The rooms are very small, no place to put toiletries. No a/c. To turn lights out I had to turn off all power to the room so I could not charge phone over night . Bed was fine but hotel is too expensive for what you get. Staff are fine. For half the price it would be fine. Great location.

The hotel itself is very picturesque and the staff really friendly. The breakfast was limited but very very good and happily ate there each morning. The room itself was a little dated and wasn’t cleaned properly. For example, on the ground below the bedside table someone had spilled a handful of nuts but was never cleaned up.
Its also in a great location very close to the metro station.

My partner and I loved the Bella Grande. It is a beautiful boutique hotel in an incredibly convenient place to all the major attractions: a 5 min (or less) walk to Tivoli Gardens, Strøget, the best pastry shop in Copenhagen (St. Peders Bageri), and more; a 10-15 minutes from Kings Garden and Rosenberg Castle, National Gallery of Denmark; 15-20 min walk to Nyhavn, Freetown Christiania. In essence staying here you can walk pretty much anywhere and bike everywhere. It’s also an incredibly beautiful hotel with an amazing restaurant (Donna - Italian food). The staff is very friendly and helpful, the WiFi worked impeccably, beds were very comfy. There is no AC, but I was there at the beginning of June and with the windows open did not need it at all (and I like to sleep cold). I would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our 5-night stay in a charming corner suite with sitting area, nice bath, and a beautiful, comfortable bed made in high thread content sheets and duvet.

Staff, particulary Thorsten and Mariele (sp?) were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and charming. They made our visit with our goddaughter even more convenient.

Our room was cleaned daily, even on days we were late getting, out with fresh towels and nice amenities.

Our only complaint is a bit of difficulty obtaining ice from the restaurant. No room services were offered in our room, so morning coffee was procured at starbucks and pastries from Skt Peders Bageri. Delicious assortment available to enjoy inside or carryout

We had a well equipped family room on the 2nd floor over looking the inner courtyard restaurant.
The room was small but very clean, and modern. The hotel is perfectly located for lots of tourist attractions and transportation links

Our only disappointments were the noise/music from the restaurant in the evening (until midnight) it wasnt loud enough to stop us sleeping but was noticeable each night. For us the beds werent the comfiest (they were too soft and the pilliws were too) however we appreciate this is personal preference.
We had a wonderful few days in Copenhagen and would absolutely stay here again!

Overall a very beautiful and wonderfully located hotel. If you want to score some major romance points with your partner this is the hotel for it. Think lots of shades of pink and floral. It's very well revamped while holding on to lots of retro / old school charm and there are two gorgeous places to eat within the hotel. My only complaint is that there was no barrier from the shower floor with the rest of the of the bathroom floor so it was really difficult to not get water absolutely everywhere. There was also very little space for toiletries around the sink. Other than those two issues I really enjoyed my stay.

Well maintained beautifully decorated small hotel perfectly located for walking distance to everything in old and new Copenhagen. Super convenient to the Metro - you don't need taxis or ride shares here - and with genuinely friendly and helpful front desk staff!
We had an excellent dinner at the restaurant, and the hearty Scandinavian breakfasts were good. .
The Junior Suite was a nice size, had a great bathroom and was very quiet, although the 'living room' could have done with a TV or sound system. My only gripe is that I was a bit surprised about the in room bar which was an all included array of a lot of booze.... Personally I would have preferred an in room refrigerator and an unlimited Nespresso machine.

Definitely my favorite hotel!

Bella Grande is definitely one of my favorite hotels! I love the elegant and classic atmosphere they create for the entire hotel! The room is spacious and clean, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the pastries of their breakfast are the best I’ve ever had! Everything is carefully and thoughtfully arranged, they even prepared PS5 for the kid! And the city map they offered is so thoughtfully and artistically edited that it became my favorite souvenir! I love every detail they arranged for the hotel and will definitely revisit it whenever I have a chance!

All the staff were great. The food at Donna was good not as great as expected. Ordered the seafood pasta which was overdone and had mushed together.

The area in between the restaurants next to the lift to the right when entering was very confusing. We were told we could order drinks there but no one came to us. On every occasion we had to call someone over otherwise, they walked straight passed us.

2 things were missing from such a lovely hotel which seemed very odd, 1) slippers 2) a phone in the room (would have liked to order coffee)

Loved the breakfast a lot lots of delicious options which is to be expected when the restaurant is part of cofoco.

The bed was super comfy and the atmosphere was cozy and pleasant sadly the room was boiling hot, and the radiator did not turn off. There was a big smeared handprint across the bathroom wall that was kinda weird. The shower would make the entire room flood to the door because the drain didn’t work well.

This was my first time in CPH and first of 4 days in a 2 week trip. Super conveniently located, I ended up on the top floor of the building and it was a great start to my solo trip.

PROS: Copenhagen Food Group (Cofoco) really live up to their name. Breakfast each morning was varied and delicious, served in Donna. You can also eat your breakfast under the beautiful skylights, which was always a treat. So convenient to get in/out/around CPH given it's right by a subway station and also in the city centre shopping area. Bed is really comfortable and I always got a great night's sleep. Elevator is small but works. Dinner at Donna was also delicious; highly recommend the tiramisu!!

CONS: Bathroom has no ventilation (not sure if this is a Scandinavian thing...) making it quite muggy after a shower, especially given how small the room is. It was fine for one person but can see it not being pleasant for 2 people. The room was also missing a few amenities like facial tissues but the concierge was quick to help with. Also no ice machine on the floor; you have to go all the way down to front desk who get it from the kitchen. Rooms are not very sound proof; there was a couple who were speaking in the hallway on one of the nights and I could hear every word.

This property was wonderful! An escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. While on the weekends, it can get loud, you can close the windows and drown it out. I optioned to keep it open one of the weekend nights, because I loved to hear the city night life, but the next night I needed more sleep…closed the window and slept sound! Highly recommend for a beautiful retreat, great food and terrific ambiance.

This is a beautiful hotel, refurbished, but with a few minuses. The soundproofing is not great, the front doors are quite loud. There's no minibar, no slippers, no bathrobe, that's not great. The marble table and window sills are beautiful, but the finishes wardrobe and doors should have been replaced.

Suffocating, no fresh air

Bizarrely there were no windows in the room that opened to the outdoors, just to an enclosed noisy restaurant courtyard. The bedroom was so hot with no fresh air. There was a fan in the room but then it felt like sleeping at a hot airport. A shame because the room was lovely, staff very friendly and beautiful hotel. I wouldn’t stay here again.

This is a great hotel, well located with an excellent restaurant. We only stayed for a few days but enjoyed it very much.

One small problem that the staff dealt with as best they could was the temperature of the family room we had, 25°C plus and no external windows and no A/C. Way too hot to sleep in and especially for a small child. The staff organised an extra room with external windows so the room could be cooled to a sensible sleeping temperature.

Love this hotel and the restaurant Donna that is attached to it! The room was just fine and the windows opened for fresh air! The bathroom was great and the bed very comfortable! The staff were so nice and accommodating! The breakfast buffet was small but delicious! And the evening restaurant Donna was all the buzz! Very trendy scene with a cool hip crowd every night of the week …. I think it had just opened when I stayed there but it was really fun!

Beautiful hotel but no air conditioning

Warning: there is no a/c in the hotel. There are big windows you can open but the bathroom can get steamy quick. Other than that the location is excellent, staff is really nice, restaurants were great, lovely hotel and the bed is really comfortable. I couldn’t get the tv to work but didn’t need it.
