Loved our stay! Great location, friendly staff, luxurious rooms with everything you need and a great chilled out vibe!! Will definitely be coming back - hopefully in the warmer months so we can try the rooftop bar!! Two minute walk to Central station where you can get the airport train or two metro lines!!

A really enjoyable stay! If you’re looking to be close to the train station or the Tivoli gardens then this is the place to stay. A beautiful bar with great service…. A very limited food menu so we chose not to eat. We also chose not to opt in for breakfast as it work out to be nearly £30 each which I find extreme.
The rooms were well decorated and check in / check out was made really easy.

Oh my god the things this hotel and their staff done to make my mums trip the best she’s ever had, and we’ve done vegas lol! She said it was her best and favourite holiday and the best hotel she’s ever stayed in. They went so so so far above and beyond. Their location was amazing, they said they couldn’t compliment the staff enough. The breakfasts were gorgeous and I cannot thank them enough for what they done. She’s come back with a smile. Food standard, full evening meal , no reasonable choice, incorrect description on menu so wrong product supplied.incredebly expensive. Trickle of water from bathroom basin tap.
Toname a few.
The refurbished hotel is excellent, the dedroom is overcrowded with IKEA type contraptions where space is limited. Unnecessary couch withe a table attached sticking out into the limited space.
Will never book again, nor give hotel a good review.

This hotel was the perfect location, room comfortable; duvet cover in bed. The staff amazing and helpful especially Nicolas at front desk/ restaurant lounge is top notch and unique ambiance and cocktails. Elevator added bonus for luggage.
Odd the room service comes in and cleans even if you have privacy door hanger and no safe…loved my stay. Happy I chose Joanne’s!

It was a stylishly presented hotel, but lacked some substance. Room could have been better sound insulated, the shower head (waterfall type) felt ‘thin’ as not enough of the rubber nozzles in the shower head were working. Didn’t feel like good value for money.

t was absolutely amazing! The hotel was beautiful, clean, and beautifully styled. I loved that there was a bar where you could get a drink any time, and in the morning we could get barista-made coffee that was really tasty. The breakfast was very good, and we also dined in for dinner, which was incredible. The staff were really polite and lovely, which made our stay even better. We will be back!

Conveniently located, with a five min walk to the metro, and Tivoli. Lots of restaurants nearby.

Check in was super easy, the concierge was very helpful in helping me change my reservation due to a delayed flight. The property and common areas were clean and had a great aesthetic. They offer water and beverages in the lobby.

The room was clean, cozy, with a chic, minimal design. The only downside is that it was a little noisy with noise coming from the room above.

The hotel was lovely with a feminine interior design. Superior room was big enough, the perfect size, though clothing storage wouldn’t have been enough for two. Very comfortable bed and pillows allowed me to catch up on much needed sleep. Only improvement would be to have brighter lighting, very difficult to do make up and bathroom spotlight wasn’t enough - perhaps mirror lights would help! Reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast efficient and staff accommodating. Good location, walkable to meatpacking district and close to station. Overall great stay, would recommend and return!

I’ve stayed at plenty of NH properties before and this might be the best one. Located next to the train station, the hotel is extremely convenient to anyone looking to navigate the city. A few minutes walk from Tivoli garden or the meatpacking district, this hotel is in the best location in the city. Additionally the staff were excellent. They were warm, welcoming and friendly. Stellar hotel.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights during our trip, and while there were definitely some positives, the overall experience wasn’t quite what we were hoping for.

To start with the good: the staff were all very kind and welcoming, and we appreciated being able to check in smoothly after arriving.

That said, the room itself was much smaller than expected, and it felt overcrowded with furniture. The sofas, in particular, made the space feel even tighter—we actually had to move one just to be able to get in and out of the bed comfortably. Because there was no real storage for clothes, we ended up living out of our suitcases, which made the room feel cluttered and a bit stressful. The bathroom was also very compact, to the point where it was hard for one person to move around comfortably, let alone two.

Housekeeping came by only once during our stay and while the beds were made, the towels in the bathroom were left on the floor, and basic items like coffee and toilet paper weren’t replenished. It felt like the service wasn’t quite as attentive as we’ve experienced elsewhere.

The location was another challenge. While it’s close to the train station (convenient for travel), the immediate surroundings didn’t feel very charming—it reminded us more of a busy, nondescript street you’d find in the middle of America rather than the Copenhagen atmosphere we were excited to experience.

This is a nice hotel conveniently located next to the train station. We had read that the rooms were very small so we paid extra for a more spacious superior room. The superior room was small and very cramped. We couldn’t properly lay out our suitcases and we were tripping over each other the entire stay.

This property was okay. The location was great. The decor was fun. We struggled with the mattresses being too soft, there wasn't a safe in the room and the hotel didn't have umbrellas for rainy weather. The rooftop bar was meh - they didn't have many drink or food options.

Our original room was much smaller than expected/pictured and was missing some of the amenities. After 2 nights, we were able to switch to a new room in the same class, which was much more spacious and looked exactly like the photo.

We stayed in the “cosy” room, which was indeed quite compact for two people, though that was expected from the description. While the size was fine for a short visit or one person, we did notice a few areas where the experience could be improved. The hallways could have been tidier, and although housekeeping visited our room, amenities in the room weren’t replenished during our stay. Interactions with staff varied - some were warm and helpful, while others were less so. With a few adjustments in cleanliness and consistency of service, this could be a much more enjoyable stay.

I would absolutely stay at the Grand Joanne again. The room was warm, stylish, comfortable; the location is terrific, right next to central station, Tivoli Gardens, Glyptoteket, Planetarium and 500 places to eat within 10 blocks radius. The rooftop dj's were terrific and we enjoyed Aperol spritzers and met some fun people from Sweden on holiday. Rooftop shuts down immediately when it rains but then they move the party downstairs to the bar/restaurant. fantastic cocktails and excellent service.
One of the finest hotels we've stayed at in recent years.
Next to our lovely accommodations the staff was the best thing about Grand Joanne. Everyone from the front desk to the bartenders, the servers and cleaning staff were absolutely 5 star.

While this hotel has some good points, I can’t recommend it.

The location is convenient if you're arriving by train or bus and visiting Tivoli. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

However, the negatives outweighed the positives. Our room was on the 1st floor facing the street, and street noise woke us nightly. Higher, quieter rooms seemed available, but we weren’t offered one—possibly because we booked through Expedia and not directly with the hotel?

The bed was worn out and sagged badly, causing me back pain. My wife found it very soft and overused but wasn’t as bothered. Our 10-year-old son slept on a thin floor mattress that took up nearly all available space. Online photos suggested a proper daybed, which was misleading.

Hot water was unreliable, taking 15 minutes to arrive or sometimes not at all, resulting in a few cold showers.

At $450 USD per night, this was unacceptable. I’m writing this from a Hamburg hotel costing less than half, with far better comfort and quality. Yes, Copenhagen is a premium market—but in this case, not worth the price. I’d look elsewhere.

The locations is perfect if you want to explore Copenhagen. Close to Metro and main train station. The room nice amd clean - but the standard room is very small. If you want to stay longer thank one or two nights a larger room is required.

We booked the cosy room which I didn’t realize would be so small but for the price we made it work for two of us (put one of the suitcases in the windowsill). Honestly not a ton of great amenities for the price and extremely small room, the gym was kind of strange and small as well and the rooftop closed at 9:30 which is pretty early. We stayed at Manon Les Suites for the first half of our trip which was only ~$80 more a night and we greatly wish we just stayed there (has an amazing pool, bar that stays open, huge gym, spa, etc.).

The biggest cons here are in our room the first night we could hear someone’s TV as if it was in our room and it was midnight already, the front desk woman was awesome though in helping us figure out which room it was but still the walls seem thin despite being concrete? And of course housekeeping walking in on us, pretty mortifying. The second time they did it was at 10am day of checkout which is at 12pm, they cracked the door open while we were changing and slowly shut the door like it seemed as if they were watching us. Super creepy and strange. Told the front desk after the second time thinking the first was an accident, but the second time was obviously extremely invasive. They took off the extra person fee for the room which was nice. I just hope they actually discipline who did that because it ruined the stay for us for sure.

The staff was very friendly and had wonderful suggestions for places to it according to what we were seeking. Copenhagen reservations are highly recommended so it was handy they were able to make bookings.

I was very lucky that when I arrived at 9 am they had a room available for me so I could get clean and get outside exploring. Truly excellent service.

The \"lobby\" being more of a glam living room was my vibe. I always felt safe and the trains are so close by! Thank you to all at Grand Joanne!

Cute boutique hotel with very helpful staff. The locations is also really great. My 2 issues were that there is a lot of street noise in the rooms so bring you earplugs (luckily I always travel with some) and the room is so small there is literally no place to put your suitcase. I was in a king bed room as a solo traveler and had to put my suitcase in the windowsill, which was luckily very deep. I don’t mind a small room, and this one was well appointed and otherwise comfortable, but the lack of luggage space was inconvenient. If a coup,e was in the room it would be an even bigger issue.

We liked the overall vibes of the hotel and received good housekeeping service every day. The location of the hotel was also excellent near to the station, many eating places and supermarkets.

The only downside was that there was no fridge in our rooms for our drinks and fruits and we were located on different floors due to the room type we had specified. The service staff at the restaurant were very good and gave us ice every night when we dropped by to keep our drinks cold in the room. We liked the service very much :)

Great design, very calming. I was impressed walking into this hotel, since you can tell that there was a lot of thought that went into their design process. Immersed in a city centre, Grand Joanne allows you to “take a deep breath” and relax. Soothing pastels and a clean aesthetic, it is definitely a must see. The fitness centre and meeting rooms were also beautiful. While it is very close to the train station, I chose to rent one of their bikes. After riding around the city, I finished my day with some delicious food at their restaurant. My lovely Italian server made me feel very at home while traveling solo, so her service will be remembered. Thank you for a great stay!

Room wasn’t the most basic room yet it was tiny, I had to shut my suitcase every time I wanted to use it. Hot water barely worked, it only worked for the handheld shower head, the overhead was freezing and I couldn’t wash my hair during the stay. The room wasn’t cleaned until 4pm, so we came back to a dirty room. Location is very good and the breakfast and bar, staff are friendly. However rooms are far too small and the lack of hot water, even after telling the staff ruined the stay.

Great stay. The had the cozy room, it was exactly as listed on their options and was good for my stay. The hotel even had a steamer in my room to help with my event clothes. Great hotel.
