The hotel is very conveniently located, just a short walk from the train station. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made checking in pleasant.

The room was small but clean and cosy and adequate for a short stay. Complimentary tea, coffee, water, and fruit at reception were a nice touch.

Breakfast was average — the hot items were lukewarm rather than truly hot. You could hear the trains from the hotel, though it didn’t cause too much disturbance.

Overall, the experience was average — fine for a short stay, but nothing exceptionail

Friendly, helpful staff! Always there to say hello! Free luggage store before check in/after check out. Super convenient location. Lots of variety at breakfast. The bed was comfortable and we had use of our netflix/youtube on the tv! Also there is a little vent you can close on the window which completely shut out all outside noise. We honestly have zero complaints about our 6 days at this hotel and would definitely stay if we visit the city again. Thank you!

The room I stayed in was directly next to the elevator, so it kept me awake all night. Then I moved to a new room that was quieter, which was nice of them, but it had a terrible mold scent and I woke up with asthma.

All the staff we had dealings with were very friendly and helpful. Tea n coffee n fruit available in the lobby 24hr.

Rooms were lovely and clean.
The beds were very comfortable.
Shower had good output, with plenty of hot water.

The breakfast was lovely, with a choice of breads, cheese, meats, cereals, yoghurts,
salad stuff, fresh n dried fruit.
Drinks: tea, coffee, juices, water
Hot food available: eggs scrambled or boiled, beans and sausages.

We had an excellent stay.

The hotel sits right beside central station, Tivoli gardens and 5 mins from the main shopping street of Strøget so perfect location. Staff are multi lingual which is great for all visitors. Hotel itself is very dated which adds character and it has a story behind it. I stay here because of convenience and the great breakfast which fillls me up all day. Danish workers start early so there were roadworks outside the hotel from about 7.30am and the noise in the centre of the city goes on all night, the hotel provides earplugs if this is an issue. The locker room for luggage storage is a big bonus for early visitors or laye leavers.

Kepler at the front desk was great. Super helpful. The hotel is old, originally for train conductors. It has been modernized, yet keeps some of the old charm. Literally steps from the front of the train station and Tivoli Gardens and city hall. Close to lots of sights. Copenhagen is a very walkable city.
A couple things that aren’t dealbreakers: no English channels on the tv (although I did watch two NFL games broadcast in German) and the shower curtain doesn’t reach the floor, so the bathroom floor gets sopped with each shower. There is a little noise, more like a rumble, from the train station. My room was very adequate, yet European “sized “ (small)

This hotel is literally outside the Central Train Station and well-located for walking to or taking public transport to sights of interest. There are also many restaurants nearby. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but not uncomfortably so. The hotel itself is older but has been updated so as to provide modern necessities. Still, there are some quirky aspects to the hotel. The breakfast is ample and provides a good start to the day. I definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay in Copenhagen.

The attraction was the closeness to the train station. staff were great and very helpful. room was bare bones. No coffee or in room amenities. Nothing but the essentials with old 'charm'. Light bulb needed replacing. Water was hot and we were only there for one night.

Very conveniently situated. We got the Copenhagen card with the hop-on-hop-off bus but that was an overkill. You cannot see more than 2-3 attractions in a day. Better to walk in town and get a city pass for longer journeys ( e.g. Frederiksberg gardens and Reffen.

The Hotel is right next to the train station which makes it very convenient. The staff are very nice too. However, the towels smells like it just come from an old cabinets that has never been open for years. I don't know if that's the smell of the detergent but it sticks to the body. The hotel also doesn't have an AC which is a little inconvenient .

The Astoria is a historic hotel dating to 1935, and is a listed historic building.

As such it is not a modern hotel with modern luxury and design features. If you can look beyond this then you'll enjoy the Astoria. If not look elsewhere.

The location is perfect, right next to the central station - it was built for the railway for conductors to stay in. It has some art deco features as a result. It's location does mean there is some external noise at night; the windows are fine and ear plugs are provided.

Our room - standard double - was fine. Small due to age, and the listed features do show their age. The bathroom was fine but again features are of their time.

The included buffer breakfast is fine - sausage, eggs, beans, cold meat & cheese, pancakes, pastries etc. - and served in the original dining room.

In summary.....it's fine, but don't expect modern luxury or design.

This hotel is right outside the central train station, so if you’re traveling with luggage it makes it very easy having to walk very far to get to your room. If you will be using the train of the metro to see the city this also makes it very convenient having the train and metro stations so close. The free breakfast is a bonus also.

The staff were all very kind and accommodating. The rooms are with out AC but have a fan. Closing the curtains during the day helped to keep the room cooler. Only offered tea in the room, but coffee was available in the lobby. My TV did not work and I was moved to a new room. The TV stopped working in that room the next day. The hotel is conveniently located with easy access to wherever you are heading. The room was cozy and met my needs. Besides the TV issues, I’d stay there again.

We loved the breakfast. Good range and fresh. Staff were quite friendly and helpful.
The only problem was the noise from the street and the Trains passing by. Not suitable for light sleep people. The room was a bit small and outdated. No ventilation in the bathroom or aircon or fan. Mind you we were there in Summer season and got a bit warm inside the room. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Very noisy, they were doing road construction right on the street below my room all night long, it was super noisy and I couldn’t sleep with the window closed as it was too hot, but even with the window closed it was very noisy.

Positive was property was located right next to train station. It is an older hotel. Our shower hose burst and we told staff at front desk. We went out to explore and came back to find out we had to move rooms. Had to ring bell at desk twice to speak with someone regarding issue and when they came had know idea what was going on. There should have been better communication between staff. Breakfast was included, but not as tasty as first 2 hotels we stayed at in Europe.

The hotel dates back to 1930s and they have tried to keep it true to its age. It’s in a central location next to the train station so it is noisy. We definitely needed ear plugs as you could hear the trains. Limited interaction with staff but they were friendly. Breakfast was good with choices that satisfied both myself and my husband.

Don’t stay here if you want impersonal and sterile: do stay here if you live authenticity and history. My little room was perfect for me: shower and products were good. Great location near main train station and Tivoli. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast buffet with lots of choices. Go easy on the salt in the scrambled eggs, though. Clean and orderly. Some noise from trains, but that should be expected. We didn’t have a floor mat for the bathroom. Only a half shower door, so floor got pretty wet. We had to use a towel to dry it out. Overall a very nice experience and highly enjoyable.

I received Room 104 with broken heater/radiator. Room was changed only on the 2nd night.

Room 104 was above train line - very noisy and floor/walls vibrated.

Room 104 doesn’t had blackout curtains.

Management ignored communication massages on Hotels.com

Management refused compensation.

Good hotel very convenient for centre and right next to the railway station. Comfortable and quiet (apart from the quiet rumble of a passing train). Breakfast was good but it would be nice to have some variety on different days.
Personally I didn’t like the semi automation of check in etc - whilst it was quick, I prefer human interaction .

Great staff but hotel let down by our room not having a single usb. Plus being at the corner of two main roads means Friday and Saturday nights were hugely noisy until 0430. Quiet on Thursday but impossible to sleep on Friday and Saturday. Staff great and breakfast v good and handy for railway station. Please install usb sockets quickly

Pleasant Stay at Historical Hotel

Was drawn to the historical hotel which is just next to Copenhagen Railway station. Also most tours depart from there, so it was convenient. Adequate basic room amenities. Most eco-friendly hotel we have been to - need to book housekeeping the night before, coffee/tea-making facilities (& fruits) available at the lounge reception 24/7. Reception staff very helpful. Daily breakfast variety status quo.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay in a twin room. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. We particularly enjoyed the complimentary hot drinks and fruit in reception. BicI little hotel right by the train station. Typical European continental breakfast. Weekends end at 11 not 12 like Expedia says. It was good and simple.
Room was pretty large and spacious. And I appreciated having a window I could open for some fresh air.
Shower was good other than the short door getting water all over the floor.
Beds were comfortable would have enjoyed another pillow. Two pillows for a big bed was a bit annoying.
I also really appreciated the cast feature to their tvs. It’s a great feature i wish more hotels had.

This is a very noisy property, with regular noise and vibrations from the trains. Not recommended for light sleepers.

Breakfast buffet was chaotic when we tried to eat at the same time as a coach party - we got turfed out of our seats twice due to people saving tables for their friends. Not very well organised.
