Great location with easy access to public transport, rooms have no safety deposit boxes or air con in them so they can get hot, there are safety deposit boxes in the lobby which is not ideal as everyone walks past them, some rooms are tired and need modernising, mine didn't even have any desk height power outlets I had to boil the kettle on the floor

Nice older hotel in a great location for exploring Copenhagen. Staff were super and helpful. Rooms very clean but very basic, they do need updating and any hotel nowadays needs to have usb charging sockets in the room.
We loved the free drink which is served in the cosy bar between 5 and 6pm.

We were very pleased, kind, helpful staff, and a good central location. A modest problem with the shower, in that the water did not drain well. We used the squeegie provided. I didn't mind in part because it would be a big job to fix the problem, tear out the shower floor and ramp it more so that the water would flow down to the drain.

The location is perfect! Close walking to train highlights - food hall, shopping, rosenborg castle etc. Great quiet/vibey neighborhood. Rooms are very comfy and clean. Great bedding. Slept soundly! Communal spaces are cozy and golden - cozy hour with free wine, fireplace, turntable. Sauna and cold plunge at the hotel spa. Breakfast is delight -nordic breakfast with bird song and relaxed atmosphere. LOVED this place! HIGHLY recommend. Will be back! (1 week stay) This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in -hitting every note!

Location is very central - 15/20 mins from the airport on the metro and then everything is walkable / cycling distance. Service very friendly also and check in and check out were quick.

Room quality was poor though - beds comfy but nothing else going for the rooms. Carpet is SO dated it didn’t feel clean and room smelt musty.

The staff at Ibsens were so lovely. Every single person we spoke to was friendly, smiling, polite and professional. The hotel felt very safe and welcoming. It’s in a great location, near a lot of bars, restaurants and lots of public transport options. The rooms, although quite small, had everything you’d need for a few days stay. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the adjoining hotel was absolutely fantastic. A huge mix of local, fresh Danish produce, with plenty healthy options too. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed post Ironman Copenagen. Booked this hotel due to its Spa, however although not communicated on hotel page, it is additional cost to use (£40) so a little frustrated with the advert for the hotel not making this clear.

Stay otherwise was good, nice lobby area, friendly helpful staff and great location near to Metro and 10-15 min walk into centre. Also great route for a run around the nearby Copenhagen lakes.

Convenient, friendly hotel

Staff were very friendly and helpful if needed. It is located about 5 mins walk from Norreport station (once you find the nearest Metro exit!) which is very convenient for the airport & getting around Copenhagen.

We asked for a quiet room & were located at the back of the hotel - indeed it was quiet for 4 nights & much appreciated. The room was well equipped with TV (included CNN in English), kettle, coffee, etc with milk & cooler fan. Pretty effective blackout roller blind. The beds are soft as some other reviewers have mentioned but comfortable. Only couple of downers - the bed comprised 2 single beds pushed up against a wall which meant clambering down the bed to get up if needed in the middle of the night & the shower is a corner curtain job in the bathroom which means water inevitably splashes out over the rest of the bathroom floor - neither are big moans.

Breakfast was well stocked and good variety, though perhaps a bit of variation from day to day would be nice if you are there for more than 2 days. It does get crowded at weekend peak times - certainly in summer - and is served across the courtyard in a neighbouring hotel which is part of the same business group. We were invited to have a free drink each day at 5-6pm in the hotel bar but we didn't get to take up the offer. The use of the luggage store down in the basement before we checked in and after we checked out was appreciated.

The lift is small (max 5) but there are stairs to the rooms. Coop v close.

I stayed recently and had a mixed experience.

The hotel is in a great location and very close to a station, restaurants, and is a short walk from most attractions. The staff were really welcoming and attentive. The hotel offers a Cozy hour which is a great way to enjoy a free drink and relax but not something I made use of often.

However, unfortunately the room didn't meet my expectations. I booked a medium room and the room was smaller than anticipated and seemed a little worn down, particularly the carpet. The room I stayed in backed off onto a courtyard where there was a restaurant and people eating and this did create some smells in the room which couldn't be aired out by opening the windows. The shower room and toilet was a tiny wet room cubicle which was somewhat difficult to navigate.

The breakfast was lovely and served in the nearby hotel but I think it would have been nice to have a few more warm food options available.

Overall, the stay had its positives but I felt it didn't quite meet my expectations based on the price and the four star rating.

We returned from a lovely 4 night stay in beautiful Copenhagen. The hotel is in a great location, walkable to many attractions and only a 2 minute walk to the fantastic Torvehallerne food market which was great for coffee or breakfast. Our room was clean and comfortable, although was fairly small and starting to look a little dated. The hotel staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, an asset to the hotel.

The property is a short walking distance to the train station, there is a huge, beautiful market with a wide range of food choices and a grocery store within a block of the hotel. Restaurants, shopping, tourist attractions are all within walking distance, we never called a taxi or Uber the 3 days we were there. The hotel does not have air conditioning, the room windows open and fans are available, with the fans on the street and restaurant noise from below is lessened. There is a cozy hour in the afternoon where you can get a wine, beer or soft drink compliments of the hotel.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly on our last day we ordered a taxi for a fixed price through the hotel and the taxi driver was going to charge us more than agreed a member of staff spoke with the driver in English so we could understand as well and she reminded him it was fixed. Brilliant as no one likes getting ripped off. Thank you.

This hotel is a good location. The front desk crew were great! The room is small and might be an issue if staying more than a night or two. They will store your luggage and have free locked boxes near the front desk if needed. It is reasonably close to the metro system.

An easy walk from both the nearest metro station and city centre, the hotel was both very clean and welcoming.
Breakfast was at it adjoining King Arthur Hotel and that was with fresh breads, juices, pastries on a continental breakfast basis
Room was small in comparison to some but that and wet room style toilet/shower room functional in purpose
Only issue was roadside noise from morning deliveries if you wanted a lay in as breakfast served till 10:30

My daughter and I had a four night stay at The Ibsen Hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and our room was spotlessly clean. The hotel is brilliantly located for walking just about anywhere you'd want to visit. There is a farmers market just across the street where we had a delicious lunch a couple of times The downside for us was that there was noise coming from the restaurant/bar across the road until 2am and then some sort of machinery started up at 6.30am. It was very hot but we had to have the windows closed which meant we did not sleep very well. The double glazing is extremely effective at cutting out all the noise from outside so, if you are staying in the cooler months, this would not be a problem. Also, the hotel could do with upgrading the bed linen which was very scratchy which did not help with our sleep. Definitely a good choice for a night or two and we felt very safe.
