Though some may say the breakfast was basic, to me and family, it was great. Wide choice of foods. No matter where you sat, you could see a TV! Rooms were clean. We even had complimentary soda,water, and chocolates in the fridge! Sweet touch! God willing, defo back next year. Staff, all friendly and helpful.

The staff were friendly and helpfull especially as one of the lifts was not working ,helping older people getting their suitcases up the stairs from the carpark.
Room was clean and comfortable, also bathroom, breakfasts was excellent and staff very helpful ,
Although nothing was said we think the central heating was not working, although there was a load of small heaters dotted about the lounge was quite cold.
Would still recommend to friends.

Long queue to check-in. Was then told I needed to pay for parking which I had already previously included with my stay. Receptionist then checked when I contested this and apologised.
Upon check-out was told I needed to pay for our breakfast. Again, explained that this should have been included with my booking. Had to provide evidence of this via my booking app.
Walls are very thin as we could hear other guests talking in adjacent rooms.

The room was not as requested at time of booking. Whilst I know room requests are subject to availability, when I enquired I was told the hotel was full and a room change was not possible. However, I subsequently heard a conversation where a man was saying how noisy the hotel was and had been offered a room change. I was clearly lied to!

On the subject of noise, at around 5pm I was in my room and thought a nightclub had opened nearby. It turned out to be the people in the next room playing music loudly with heavy bass. I had to knock on the door to ask them to turn it down. It genuinely felt like a nearby nightclub.

In addition there were constant bangs and other noises. It sounded like there was a metal grill underneath our room, constantly scraping open and closed. Thuds seemed to come from underneath and above us.

That night, at around 11:30pm there was the sound of people returning to the room next door and then, loud laughing, talking etc clearly heard through the wall. I banged on the wall and it quietened down temporarily. However it soon started up again and meant I did not get to sleep until around 2am, despite using earplugs. The walls seem incredibly thin. I should not be able to hear anything from other rooms or above and beneath me and yet this stay was characterised by noise all the time.

I was subsequently told the hotel was previously an office block and had not been adequately soundproofed.

I would never stay here again. Very disappointing stay.

I chose the hotel for the parking. Unfortunately the lift from the basement car park is broken (and has been for some time) and you have to use a call bell for help with luggage; there is no way to know if they have heard you. I waited for 15 minutes, I also tried phoning reception but it rang out with no reply.
By the time someone arrived I was very upset after a long drive and being left for so long. The basement car park is dark and unpleasant, I felt very vulnerable. She said she had to deal with the queue at reception first, shrugged and did not apologise. Neither was she strong enough to lift my case up the stairs, another hotel client had to kindly help.
The lift issue is a big problem - only one lift is functioning for the whole hotel, used by clients and staff. It is slow and crowded, stopping at every floor.
The hotel itself is jaded and tatty, with poor maintenance and bodged decor. It really isn’t in good condition at all. Room cleaning is hit and miss - great some days, a few new milk pots thrown at the tray with nothing else done another.
However when I contacted the manager about my check in experience he made every effort to speak to me to discuss it and apologise. He was very helpful and has arranged some compensation for my distress which he was able to see when he played back the CCTV.
Advice for clients - drop your bag at reception *before* parking your car, and expect a wait for the lift at busy times of day.

Rooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious and the staff helpful and friendly.

Unfortunately our stay was marred by two issues. The first, a very loud and abusive argument at 0100 to 0230 between the occupants of a neighbouring room was not the hotels fault and the reception staff attempted to deal with it the best they could.

The second issue was that only one lift was working during the period of our stay and we frequently had to use the rather smelly, damp and dingy stairs. The lift from the car park was also out of service requiring us to carry our luggage up a poorly signposted concrete stairway. Only after we had done this was any assistance offered by the staff.

The view was amazing. As a family of 6, sharing one room, we found it very spacious in a premiem room with a balcony. The hotel also provided complementary snacks in the room. In the main floor, the kid's enjoyed the play room around the Starbucks while the adults watched a game in the sports bar. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Holiday Inn Seafront to anyone heading to Brighton.

I was seeing a band in Brighton with my two teenagers and decided to try this hotel. We really liked it! It was very reasonably priced, extremely convenient location, and our Seaview balcony room was spotless and very spacious. I've only marked down one star for facilities as the trim on the shower screen didn't meet the bath and the floor got soaked when we showered, so we had to use all of the towels to mop it up. Other than that, fabulous, and we would definitely stay here again. We didn't eat in the hotel or use the bath facilities so cannot comment on that.

Let’s start with the car park, the spaces are so tiny you’ll struggle to park, wires hanging off ceilings, open pipes hanging down! For £25 I would have expected a bit more!
Check in was fine, the lift is out of order but not a massive problem.
The room was a decent size, lovely comfortable bed and quiet.
However, the walls were filthy, could see dirty drips and hand prints all over them, carpet equally as dirty.
The security chain on the door was hanging off so pointless. I only stayed one night so couldn’t be bothered complaining

The Holiday Inn Brighton is an okay hotel, but requires a great deal of renovation. We checked into the room which was reasonable, but the bathroom was tiny and let it down rather however the room was clean and functional. There was quite a lot of noise from what we assume was a wedding party around 230 in the morning to around 330 in the morning. The breakfast in the morning was very good. Not sure I would stay there again, Peter.

Very nice . Staff went above and beyond for our stay. Lovely clean room . Parking on site in underground carpark , easy to park . Asked for extra pillows and quilt and nothing was to much for them . The breakfast is well worth the money , freshly cooked omelettes, pancakes and eggs!
Amazing selection of cooked, fresh fruit , pastries and Continental as well as cereals . So much choice , even down to coffee, lattes etc…. Thankyou all at the holiday Inn .. we will definitely be returning!

Booked the holiday because of a race the next day; so comfortable bed and air conditioning critical in August.
Arrived a/c not working.
When we highlighted this, best they could do was rusty fan that plugged into a socket, that yep you guessed didn’t work.
Oh, and they sneakily double charged us for car parking.

Staff were very good downstairs on the front desk and the two bars very good.
The hotel is old and shows there was only one lift working when we arrived and it sounded dangerous . Second lift was then back on line which was better . Air con in the hotel could not keep up with the hit weather and demand. Carpets in room were stained and the window handles falling off, the hotel needs updating to still deserve the 4 star rating . Staff were very good though had were taking the brunt of the hotel needing a facelift / makeover.

The hotel is going through a refurb on the lifts. The working lift very noisy and unsafe sounding and the works being done look awful in the lobby area. Lady at reception very vacant. No apology for no one manning the desk for a good 5 minutes. Room very average. Had a portable fan as no air conditioning. The stay done the job, nice shower in the morning and left, just needed a bed. Wanted cider but one bar had run out so had to go to the other bar, inconvenient to the customer. Not much else to say.

A pleasant few days away, staff helpful. Breakfast was really good. Standard twin room was adequate, it was clean but needs some attention to detail (light bulbs out and not enough light in the room). Beds were not the most comfortable and the pillows were terrible. For the price we paid I would say it wasn’t great value for money, very expensive.
