Asked if it was my 1st stay, the receptionist was very efficient at explaining everything. The room was spotless, and a good size, 2 lifts meant not having to wait, and I received a very pleasant farewell on checking out. I will be staying again soon. With bus stops at the door, and the railway station 1 minute away, its very convenient for getting around the city.

Need more than 1 pillow per person, face and hand towels needed (only provided bath towels to dry body), better hanging capacity to dry towels - there were only 2 hooks very close together, towels were always damp. We prefer to save energy and water - reuse towels when possible. The bed was not comfortable (Only had a 4\" foam mattress) hard to sleep. The electric outlet for phone & tablet far from bedside. I had to get out of bed in the morning to shut off phone alarm. No fridge and the room is not equipped well for 2 people. Only 5 hangers total, multiple cubbies, not suitable for items that require pressing. Only room for 1 luggage, the other was on the floor. The counter area in toilet room is very narrow, it was difficult for 2 people to share. On the plus side: friendly staff, clean rooms, good breakfast selections and great location - close to train, shops and grocery.

Dreadful night sleep due to plumbing issues. Every time anyone flushed a toilet or had a shower on the floors above we were subjected to huge water whooshing noise in our room. This occurred all night long .

The room was very tired and in need of a refurb. The bathroom was especially old and tired. The aircon unit was very noisy and constantly made a “draining” noise randomly throughout the night. There was a notice stating towels we would like to be changed needed to be put on the bathroom floor which we did but this was still on the floor when returned to the room. Luckily only a hand towel. We had to go to reception every evening when returning to get clean cups and tea tray refills e.g coffee sachets etc. as these were never changed or restocked even though we were there for 3 nights. The toilet flush sometimes constantly ran and the flush button had to be pressed numerous times to get this to stop otherwise it would have continuously ran. Noise from staff/cleaners banging and making loud noises from extremely early hours which kept waking us.

The hotel is in a great location to get around the city. Very near to bus stops and the station. The staff I came into contact with at the hotel were very polite, professional and helpful. The room was clean and enough space for one night, albeit, the beds hadn't been separated into two single beds which meant I had to send my son to go and look for extra bedding etc. The staff were extremely friendly and the breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. The bathroom was more of a wet room and had silverfish crawling along the floor which wasn't too pleasant. However, the rest of the bathroom was clean enough. They gave me room with heater blowing cold air, and air vent in heater full of dust particles, I went to Reception and complained, they gave me another room, and heater not working (room was freezing) I went to Reception following morning and complained again, but said they had no other rooms, so I had to freeze again last night, I won’t be using your service again

Really reasonable price for a Sun to Mon stay. Fab location - close to the station and North Laines, friendly staff, nice bar/restaurant area, we can drop our bags to go shopping on check in/out day, rooms are clean and comfortable. We love this hotel!

Spent almost zero time at the hotel. The room is tiny, but it was clean, the bed was comfy, and the hot water worked great.

The hotel's best feature is that it's a 2 minute walk from Brighton train station but that's a huge deal.

Wanted some food before attending a concert but the guy who cooked the food was in a break. Had to wait for 45 mins. Then after show there was nowhere suitable to,park the car with my husband in a wheelchair, so after driving around for over an hour I checked out of the hotel without staying the night or having breakfast I had paid for and drove 2 hours home.
